Cabe and Amy’s story was the first I have read in this series. There is enough back story so that I didn’t feel lost and enough that I also want to go back and read Six and Mac’s stories.
FBI agent, Amy and former Navy Seal, Cabe are attracted to each other. They almost get derailed by working together and because of their pasts. When they overcome those obstacles they are sweet and sexy.

I enjoy Scarlett Cole's work, and like this series. This book was full of chemistry and suspense and kept me engaged the entire way.

This is Amy and Cabe's story, after reading the second book, Final Siege which happened to be my first read in the series, I fell in love with these friends and brothers in arms. This story took me several weeks to finish. I believe it was because there was just so much going on. We start out with Cabe nursing a round of drinks with Six and Mac on the anniversary of the death of his fiancee when he meets Amy. Nothing happens that night, he feels guilty and ends up leaving. The next day it just so happens that the case they have been asked to work on involves helping out the FBI and in walks Amy. Lol...I felt the romance between these two was stilted. Some of the other things happening in this story just took me to long to connect any sort of romance between these two.
We have Cabe's guilty feelings about moving on because of his fiancee's death, Amy had recently located to another city because of a past sex harassment case, the undercover sting operation, the missing girls, it was just a lot. Of course, we know the chemistry between the two was palatable and they did have some very hot sex scenes, however, I just felt that Amy was not sure where she wanted the relationship to go because of the past. It is very well written and I will continue to read any more stories in this series. I still have to go back and read about Sixten and Louise's story Under Fire, that one sounds even better than Final Siege! In the end, it all worked out, but I have to admit that this story did not grab me as fast as Mac and Delaney's story did. 3.5 stars.

I enjoyed Deep Cover. Cabe and Amy’s characters were well developed and his moments talking to Jess at the cemetery were heartbreaking. I like the way the author addressed the sexual harassment, the way she highlighted it.
The suspense element of the story fell a little flat for me. I’m not quite sure why, maybe because we never see the villains be evil. We are only told about it, but for me the tension never quite reaches breaking point.
Still a fun read perfect for sunny days.

Deep Cover by Scarlett Cole is the third book in the Love Over Duty Series. Every book can be read as a standalone. The previous books are Under Fire and Final Siege.

Cabe Moss, a ex Navy SEAL, is co-owner ofEagle Securities, a spec ops firm. Whe a case of missing women leads him to work with the agencies, he´s about to find his fate.
Cabe is a broken man. The death of his beloved fiancée left him shattered. Only when agent Amy Murray crosses his path, she stirrs something in him. Some long dead feelings. He´s smitten with her, and in typical macho man fashion he treatens her like dirt. But not with Amy. She´s a strong, fierce heroine who lives and breathes her job. Yes she has a hard time working with the silent and frustrating Cabe, but their chemical attracktion is through the roof high.
Deep Cover is a well written thriller - second chances lovestory. I liked the story and the characters, their struggle and their HEA and give 4 stars.

I really enjoy great romantic suspense with strong female (and male) characters. Cabe is an ex Navy SEAL who works with his former SEAL teammates in their security business. Amy is an FBI agent whose passion is finding sex traffickers and putting them behind bars. Her mother went missing when she was a child so this is personal for her. Amy and Cabe are working together to take down a Russian group who money launder, import drugs, and sell women. They should keep their relationship professional but the chemistry is just too strong. Great story!

Deep Cover is a great addition to the Love over Duty series. It's about the last unattached of the trio in Eagle Securities. Three best friends who have known each other most of their lives with a rather impressive friendship.

Cabe, an ex SEAL is dedicated to his job despite his grief striken experience two years ago. He has given up on finding love again. Until now!

Coming from a professional gambling family, Amy has this uncanny way of remembering and reading people. As an FBI agent she has gone through some difficult situations with some bigots in the organisation. She is now rellocated, but is weary of her male colleagues.

When Eagle Securities is brought in by the FBI to help uncover a money laundering ring, Cabe finds himself working alongside Amy whose ultimate goal is stop sex trafficking. Having gone through a loss at a very young age, she joined the FBI to make this her mission in life. As much as she tries to avoid getting involved with her co workers, she is finding it hard to resist Cabe's appeal. As for Cabe, for the first time in two years he finds himself wanting "more" from Amy.

They both carry the baggage of their pasts, but they eventually throw caution to the wind and find that there is "More" between them. The problem is that they are afraid of history repeating itself. Can they overcome this fear and explore what's between them?

I found this installment just as entrancing as the first two. The mission is dangerous. Mac, Six and Cabe remain loyal to their cause and to each other. Amy and Cabe are great characters. This romantic suspense is well worth reading.

I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

3.5 - 4 stars!!!

Cabe Moss, Ex Navy Seal is a part of Eagle Securities team along with his friends Six and Mac. Cabe lost his ex-fiance in one of the operations .. He is still mourning her death, unable to move on with his life until he crosses paths with FBI Agent Amy Murray..
Cabe and Murray are attracted from their first meeting.. However, they try to fight the attraction due to his inner conflicts and Amy's previous job issues!! And when they really give up on the past and try to give in to their emotions, the current operation they are working on would not let them be together officially..
This book had the right amount of mystery and romance.. And i loved the way the relationship between Cabe and Amy evolved through out the book!! Loved all the characters and the pace of the story!!

Love the Seals and broke my dry spell with this one. Amy takes you in with the guys looking for some missing girls. Also that Cabe for shame he gets your head shaking but your heart does give him a break. You kinda know what is going to happen at first that Amy will place herself that also gets you to slowly rev up the engines. At the same time the answers come to light on what is what you get some heat that builds. The suspense itself keeps the pages turning with you having to have the answers. Curiosity keeps you also going with this one seeing where the two go along with the answers. By the time this wraps up you will be finished melted to the bone.

An ongoing mystery is solved. Even if you haven't read the first two books in the series you can catch up and follow easily. There is a good balance between action, humor, and relationships. The side characters are just as entertaining as the hero and heroine. Ms. Cole does the romantic suspense genre justice. I will definitely be reading more by this author!

Wow! This is my first Scarlett Cole book and I’m a forever fan because this is one of the best romantic suspense stories I’ve read in a long time. Her storyline is smart and sophisticated, her characters are multi-faceted and they all have very personal reasons why they chose the careers they’re in. It was fascinating learning about casino dealers, the art of card counting and the laws about money laundering that made this such a compelling story. FBI Agent Amy Murray and Eagle Security expert Cabe Moss are part of a multi-agency undercover operation but it’s their instant sexual attraction to each other that adds a complication they never saw coming. As their long term undercover mission continues day by day the passion Cabe and Amy share brings these lovers closer to what they hope will be a permanent relationship. The rising tension of each new development in this suspenseful drama had me holding my breath and rooting for the good guys and this author did not disappoint! I read an early copy of this book supplied by St. Martin’s Press through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

I loved this! I love a good love story, but give me one that also includes intrigue and suspense, and I’m a very happy reader!

Cabe and Ames work so very well together and they just.... fit! Their mission is full of danger and they seem doomed to fail... and I’m not giving spoilers... so I won’t complete this sentence! The entire cast of characters in this book, altogether make it interesting. Their relationships, love for each other and their long term connections drew me in and made me want to keep reading. I’m so glad this book came to my attention so I could read it.

Scarlet Cole is a great writer! I can’t wait to read more!

I liked this action packed read. Cabe has been through a lot, an ex-Navy Seal who now runs a private security firm, who lost his fiancé. Amy is an FBI agent assigned to work a case together with Cabe. Sparks fly and both are a bit shocked. Will the distraction of their chemistry hurt the case they are trying to solve? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and suspense. Great characters with plenty of depth and emotion. An entertaining read.

DEEP COVER is the third (and final?) instalment in Scarlett Cole’s contemporary, adult LOVE OVER DUTY erotic, romantic, military suspense series focusing on a group of childhood friends who own and work for Eagle Securities, a Special Ops firm formed by Navy SEALS Cabe Moss, Sixten Rapp, and Malachai “Mac” MacCarrick. This is thirty-four year old, former Navy SEAL Cabe Moss, and twenty-nine year old, FBI agent Amy Murray’s story line. DEEP COVER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although there is an on-going investigation from book one Under Fire.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Cabe and Amy) DEEP COVER follows the building but forbidden relationship between thirty-four year old, former Navy SEAL Cabe Moss, and twenty-nine year old, FBI agent Amy Murray. The FBI and the CIA has called in help from Eagle Securities in their hunt to take down a money-laundering operation, and a potential human trafficking ring operating out of one of San Diego’s largest gambling venues, The Lucky Seven Casino, owned by father and son Hemingway and Faulkner Woods. FBI agent Amy Murray, the daughter and granddaughter of two of Las Vegas’ most prolific poker champions has been tasked to go undercover as a Black Jack dealer, with the help and assistance of Eagle Securities. Enter former Navy SEAL Cabe Moss, the man with whom Amy will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Amy and Cabe, and the potential fall-out as Amy is groomed by the casino boss for something bigger, something that Amy hopes will get her on the inside track to taking down the men responsible for a number of missing women.

Cabe Moss battles demons from the past, so much so that the death of his beloved fiancé, killed in action two years earlier, continues to control his highs and lows. Unable to move on from the past, Cabe finds himself struggling with his attraction to FBI Amy Murray, a woman that calls to his heart and his soul, but a heart firmly locked into the past. Amy Murray knows what it is like working in a world dominated by powerful men. Sexually harassed on the job by a superior Amy battles her attraction to Cabe fearing repercussions from the investigation that all but destroyed her career in the FBI.

The relationship between Amy and Cabe begins as a ‘fluke’, a quick meeting at a local bar before Cabe walked away without looking back. Working together meant the palpable sexual attraction did not go unnoticed by Cabe’s business partners, partners who themselves, fell in love on the job. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, seductive and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are colorful, fun, sexy and sassy. We are re-introduced to Six and Louisa (Under Fire #1), and Mac and Delaney (Final Siege #2), as well as a number of former SEALs now working for Eagle Securities. With the approach of Six and Louisa’s upcoming nuptials it was fun watching a group of former SEALs trying to plan the wedding for their childhood friend. The requisite evil has many faces including Hemingway and Faulkner Woods, and the Russian syndicate Ivan Popov, Sergei Lemtov and Konstantin Sokolov.

DEEP COVER is a story of friendship, brotherhood, moving on from the past, and letting go. The premise is edgy, engaging and heartfelt; the romance is flirty, passionate and moving; the characters are intelligent, realistic and inspiring. DEEP COVER is a suspenseful and emotionally charged tale as one man comes to grips with his past, moving towards his own happily ever after.

ARE THEY IN TOO DEEP?

Ex-Navy SEAL Cabe Moss always comes when called to duty―at all costs. Even though the death of his fiancée nearly destroyed him, Cabe won’t let his past interfere with any work that has to get done. When his latest task pushes him to team up with FBI Agent Amy Murray, a fierce beauty with the undercover skills to match, Cabe must admit that, for the first time in years, he wants to do more than just complete their mission together…

Amy was born ready for this assignment, but working side-by-side with the the strong, silent, and frustratingly professional Cabe seems to be the biggest challenge of all. But when the sparks begin to fly―and the stakes rise to dangerous heights―the only thing Amy is left worrying about is how she can resist him. Their lives may be in danger, but their hearts hold the biggest risk of all…

I loved this book and thought it was a great ending to this trilogy. This book is finally Cabe's turn to find love. Cabe really has a lot to get over in this book to let his heart go to another person. I did like that the author didn't shy away with how much Cabe still loves Jess and at the same time letting him move on from that loss. Amy is a spitfire and a great match for Cabe. We finally have a conclusion to the big case they have been working on for 3 books. The only thing I realized is how much I miss Six and Lou story as I didn't read the first book and really want to go back. I am so curious how Six and Lou got together as they polar opposites.

This is the third in Scarlett Cole’s Love Over Duty series of romantic suspense novels, and right off the bat I should probably say I haven’t read the first two, but I don’t think it really mattered. Yes, there were references to the romances which obviously formed the core of the previous two books as well as an ongoing criminal case, but I had no trouble keeping up what was going on as the main female protagonist, Amy, appeared to be an entirely new character to the series and we learned about the characters and events through her perspective. It was cleverly done and meant the reader could catch up easily, something I see all too rarely in ongoing series.

An FBI agent with a unique background - her father is a top poker professional and she practically grew up in the backrooms of Vegas casinos - Amy’s mother’s disappearance was the catalyst for a fierce desire to make a difference in missing persons cases. When several women go missing from a San Diego casino, Amy is eager to use her skills to go undercover and find the victims.

Former Navy SEAL Cabe Moss is on the case working a different angle, tracking money laundering activity. Both Cabe and Amy try hard to keep their relationship professional, but the attraction between them is just too strong to be denied. Cabe lost his fiancée to a roadside bomb in Afghanistan a couple of years before this story takes place and he has a significant amount of emotional guilt and trauma to work through as well as professional issues.

I really liked Amy’s steady, common-sense approach to… well, everything. From her work to refusing to let Cabe’s protective instincts smother her, she called him on his issues and did what she thought was right every time. Cabe was fairly cookie-cutter as Navy SEAL-type romance heroes go, with the exception of his emotional trauma, which made him much more interesting than he otherwise might have been. His visit to Jess’s grave at Arlington on the anniversary of her death was poignant and painful, and really showcased him as a character of depth.

Probably my favourite part of the story was the casino stuff - I feel like Ms. Cole either knows a lot about casinos or has done some very in-depth research, because it read very realistically. My favourite side character was definitely Amy’s Uncle Clive, the ultimate Vegas insider, and I’d love to see him appear in future books with a bigger part!

Five stars for an enjoyable and suspenseful read with a nice side of emotional growth for the main characters.
