This was my second book by Luanna Stewart and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good story. Good characters. Good pace. I can't wait to read more of her books.
Thanks the publisher via Netgalley for this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the second book by Luanna i have read & would say she has done a good job... This story is about Arabella who was a secondary Character in Luanna 's 1st book " Love & Mayhem " .
Lady Arabella is alone after the death of wastrel, drunk husband is dead taking care of her adopted nieces... she is depressed ,sad of making a bad decision of marrying a wrong man thinking it love ... she is resigned to a lonely life in the countryside but being a young , respectable widow is difficult & frustrating...
Her life changes wen she meets Samuel Payn ,who is a retired explorer ,occasional pirate . He engages Arabella's help in trying to locate his father who had heartlessly abandoned his mother ....also he wants to find a buried treasure ..
The story is about this two characters of how they work together against all odds & find love... once again the pace is fast ...well presentedstory....well developed plot ...
Loved the book. It is a great read that involved a buried treasure, a found father, a pretend marriage and two children removed by a relative. Arabella suggest a pretend marriage in an attempt to keep Maddy and Nancy but their aunt removes them from her keeping. They are eventually returned by Arabella’s father and Sam. The book has a HEA and is full of adventure that keeps your attention. I would recommend this book for a great read.
