For Better and Worse is an engaging psychological thriller that was easy to get hooked on. It kept me on the edge of my seat - Natalie and Will seem like ordinary sweethearts, but they have a dark side that has come out. Professionals and parents, neither seems like they would have it in them to commit crimes, but when their son finds himself in a dangerous situation, Nat decides to take matters into her own hands.
I loved the premise of the secrecy and raising the question of what lengths does one go to to protect their family. Sadly, the book landed all wrong. It was filled with heightened suspense that never quite landed, There were moments of tension and drama, but I felt that For Better and Worse was flat and not what I would hope for in a contemporary thriller.

Will and Natalie are law students who discuss if they could get away with murder. Years later they are married with a child when they discover their child has been molested. Suddenly the idea of getting away with murder isn’t so far fetched. I didn’t care for the main characters and their execution of the murder plot leaves a lot to be desired. Not my favorite book, but entertaining to a point. Thank you to net galley for a copy.

I ended up listening to the audiobook of this -- really enjoyed the book and narrator! I'll look forward to reading future books from Margot Hunt. Thank you to the publisher.

Margo Hunt wrote this book in a brilliant way. The first person narrative told from multiple, sometimes fluid narrators were smooth but added a bit of chaos to the story. In a story like this, a bit of chaos positively adds to the feeling of the book. I really enjoyed reading this book and will look forward to reading her future works! I particularly enjoyed this unique take on marriage even when everything goes wrong. It was different and a fun read.

I got this book as an ARC and the BOTM. Here's the deal, the beginning is slow. I can't say I was really that into the book. The ending felt rushed. Overall, this has been done before and there's nothing that's overly exciting. It was an okay book but nothing special.

When you get married, you promise to love your partner until you die. But what if that love doesn't last this long. And then your children and their problems starts eating on that love.... Recommended.

This thriller For Better and Worse, is full of suspense and begs the question- what would you do to protect the ones you love? As lawyers Will and Natalie know only too well how to manipulate the justice system to get the outcome that they desire. They're used their skills for career advancement up until now until they realise that their son needs their help. Such deception never goes totally unnoticed and places stress and stain on all involved- the law, the locality and their family. Margo Hunt deals incredibly well with the moral dilemma this family faces when the loving parental instinct kicks in. No stone was left unturned and her characters' actions and emotions were well thought out. The story line flowed and was entirely plausible. I enjoyed this read and give it 4 stars!!

Getting away with murder is what brings couples together, no? In this book that is one of the ties that bind a couple. While, in theory this plot works. What would you do for the safety of your child? Your community? For something that starts with such an interesting premise this books becomes forgettable as soon as the last page is turned. 3 stars for keeping me quasi - entertained during the read, but allowing me to forget all of it moments later.

For Better and Worse is a really enjoyable novel, not exactly filled with intrigue like a regular mystery, considering you know straight up what has gone down, however with a really interesting premise and wondering at every turn if things would be discovered kept me enthralled!

Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVED this book. Loved the premise, and the quick pace of the plot. Because of that, I kept on turning the pages constantly. This was a fun book.

I love the writing style but the plot failed to engage with me. Due to the fact, I had to DNF it halfway. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An entertaining book I kept coming back to see what would happen next.

Natalie and Will are married with an 11 year old son, Charlie. Their marriage is okay, fraying a bit around the edges. Then everything implodes. As they pull into school one morning there are police there. As the gossip mill turns the reason is quickly spread around the small community.

The principle, Robert, is being charged with a horrible crime against one of Charlie’s schoolmates. All the parents are shocked, but Nat believes the former family friend might be painted in a bad light.. Being a defense attorney, Nat digs in to learn more and as things are revealed decides to take matters into her own hands to correct what has happened to her family.

There are many difficult topics in this book that I think for the most part were handled well. I did not like Will and this could have been by author design. He was typical party frat boy married facing midlife crisis and blaming everyone but himself for his problems. We think he sees the error in his ways but the ending leaves a lot of open story lines, which I love and hate.

Thanks to Netgalley for sharing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

This thriller was not a classic mystery, in that the "whodunnit" is already established at the very beginning. But, there is plenty of anxious tension that is built as the reader tries to uncover if this gruesome couple will end up getting away with murder. I wish there had been more mystery, and more well developed character story-arcs, but this book was fun.

This book was hard to follow. The premise was very unbelievable. Exciting and semi-interesting, but unbelievable.

Somewhat unbelievable storyline! The abuse side was clearly believable. But would a husband really just go along with the wife, who he was cheating on, to kill the perpetrator even though he knew it to be wrong and was definitely not what he wanted to do? No, I did not enjoy this book.

My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing an ARC for review.
