Suzanne Wright never fails to amaze me with her writing. This just adds to another long lists of books that i absolutely adore from her. the chemistry between the main characters was undeniable and I loved every aspect on it. I was hooked from the very first word and didn't stop reading it until the early hours in the morning.

I just love Suzanne Wright. She is one of my favorite authors in the paranormal romance world. I know when I get one of her books that I will be in my happy zone. Wild Hunger was as awesome as I hoped. I have been waiting for Trick's book for so long. I will be honest and say that I thought Trick's mate would have been male. I was looking forward to a good M/M shifter read, but I wasn't disappointed in the way things turned out. I ended up loving Trick and Frankie.
Trick was everything I love in my paranormal heroes. He was supportive, sexy, dominant, and completely kicked ass. Frankie was sassy, brave, and funny. I loved that she was open and honest. I also really love that they didn't fight the mating bond or take forever to figure it out. It was sweet that even though they knew they were mates they didn't actually mate right away but instead got to know each other and had a real relationship, dates and such. Trick gave Frankie time to deal with everything going on in her life. They were just so good together. I also really enjoyed the plot. Wild Hunger was another win for The Phoenix Pack Series.

Is there a Suzanne Wright book that I won't read? The answer is no. They're not all perfect but each and every one brings something different. Wild Hunger is no different. This isn't my favorite book in her Phoenix Pack series but Trick and Frankie's story was a solid addition and I enjoyed it!

Thanks Netgalley for a ARC from Montlake Romance Publishing in exchange for an honest opinion.

Frankie Newman is a half shifter who grew up without a pack thanks to her grandparents. After the death of her parents at a young age the grandparents succeed on raising Francesca away from the influence of other pack memebers. Recently though since her paternal grandmother is very ill and has days to live they contact her for last wishes of the grandmother.

Trick Hardy has kept a subtle eye on Frankie and her artwork. Seeing her though for the first time after many years and something clicks. He knows instantly that she is his mate. He knows that he has to be patient with her until she realizes him for what he is and grows to trust him.

I enjoyed this book but a few things put me off. First there is some M/M romance concerning Trick which is kind of off putting since he is so alpha. He goes on to say he isn't gay... but he has had sex with men. It also warred with me how he treated Frankie sometimes and she just kind of accepts it. Some things I did like though... I felt like Frankie's dark art was a really cool aspect and felt that added to the book. I gave it three and a half stars of entertainment!

I was curious to discover this seventh volume and I must say that I am not disappointed, far from it!

This time it’s Trick’s turn to be featured and that’s how we follow a brand new heroine: Frankie. When she receives an email from her cousin who hopes to be able to reconnect with her so she can meet her aunt who is on her death bed, the young woman is a little lost. Even worse, she realizes that her family has been lying to her all her life. That the story she knew of her parents is not the truth. Finally, it seems that her father killed her mother to commit suicide later and that she was the only witness.

I really enjoyed the reunion with the pack, seeing that Frankie was slowly opening up to this family that she did not know. I was also very curious to find out what exactly happened with her parents and I admit that I found that the turn was well found. The relationship with her human family who does not accept her wolf side was also very interesting and I really had a good time with the story. And what about Trick? He is very patient with her even if it is not necessarily simple at first for him and I found it nice to see them evolve together.

A new novel with a good story and I had a great time once again.

“I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review”

‘Wild hunger’ is the seventh book of ‘The Phoenix Pack’ series. I must confess that when I started reading ‘Wild hunger’ I had only read the first book of this series (and not the other books) but that wasn’t a problem for reading it. But after enjoying and loving this story very much I will definitely read the rest of this paranormal series soon!

This story is about Trick, an enforcer of the Phoenix pack and Frankie (who is a niece of Lydia). One of the things that made me enjoy this story so much, was the way that both Trick and Frankie behaved towards each other, with respect and total honesty. I really appreciated the fact that Trick didn’t push Frankie into the mating. That he respected her longings, her needs and her fears. And I liked the fact that Frankie didn’t play games with Trick. She was always honest with him. And then of course, you have also the hot sex scenes and the humor! The story is told from both POV’s.

Just like Suzanne Wright’s other books, this story was NOT boring. You have the banter between the pack mates and between the couple. Trick may be ‘only’ an enforcer of the pack and not the alpha but that doesn’t mean that he can’t be a dominant man/wolf. No!! Trick knows very well what he wants and he wants Frankie in his bed and in his life. But Frankie may look innocent, she can be tough and sarcastic when the situation ask for it. She and her wolf aren’t really submissive. So that makes their relationship very interesting.

One of the things that I really like about this writer’s writing is that with each story she manage to surprise me. She has her own unique way of telling a story and although you know where the story is going to, there’s also always a surprise in it. And as a reader I really like that! And in this book she did it again.

If you’re a fan of Shelly Laurenston her books than you might like this series too.

I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.

Frankie was raised by her Grandparents from the age of 3. She was told that her father killed her mother and then himself but no one is sure why as they were mated. She was present at their deaths but has no memory of it. Oh , and Frankie is half wolf. She knows really nothing about her wolf side since she has had no interaction with her father's family. She has led a lonely life. Her grandparents are cold and unloving and she can never please them. She is close to her Uncle though, her mother's brother.

One day Frankie receives a text from her Aunt, her father's sister. She has been asked if they could meet. She ignores it as they never wanted anything to do with her before but when she receives another, it makes her reconsider.

The pack has not seen Frankie since she was taken by her grandparents. Although they tried, they never were allowed to see Frankie. Now Frankie's grandmother is close to death and her daughter wants to give her what she wants most, to see and talk to her granddaughter.

She meets some of the pack members at a local cafe', remembering none of them. After talking, she agrees to see her grandmother. Trick is amongst this group and he instantly knows Frankie is his mate. He knows he can't proclaim this to her yet, there is too much going on for her.

Trick makes Frankie's wolf react which surprises her because no man has ever really effected her wolf. As they begin to spend more time together the feelings between them intensify and soon Frankie cannot deny her feelings, or her wolf's. Trick talks of them being mated but he wants to wait until she is ready.

There is danger about for all though. A rival pack is present and causing problems and Frankie is having nightmares she cannot identify.

Can Trick keep her safe? Will she ever discover the truth o her parents? Is it only the rival pack they have to worry about?

I loved this story! Frankie had never really known much love so Trick did overwhelm her a bit. This is why he gave her time. She had never known the love and friendship that she did when moving to the pack and it made such a difference in her life. She was totally accepted for who she was.

Trick is a very dominant male. He insists that Frankie be protected at all times which makes her crazy at times but at the same time he is sensative enough to give her time to adjust to her new life while discovering her past. I could really see this couple being together and happy for the rest of their lives!

I'm a huge Suzanne Wright and PNR fan, so when I saw the combination of both in this story I had to read it. And I'm glad I did. As per usual, those who know this authors writing style know what to expect. You'll get a hot romance with great action and a hint of mystery. A perfect plot that will have your attention till the end. My advice is to read this series from the start, since you might get confused who the other characters are, their history and how all that fits into Trick and Frankie's story. Since this is already the seventh book in this series I won't be giving away any plot spoilers. But I will say that I enjoyed how the plot, especially the romantic part, unravelt throughout the book. it wasn't too fast paced or too much in your face, if that makes sense. Anyway, you'll get what I mean when you read the book. All I can say for the end is, I liked it. And when the next book comes out, I'll read it for sure. :)

As always Suzanne Wright really is captivating. Never imagined Trick’s story going quiet like this. Then again Suzanne is full of surprises! Really felt for the couple through their trials and soared with them in their happiness! I cried when things seemed so bleak. I felt I was right there with them. Great book! Can’t wait for Eli story and Dominic story to come out.

Wild Hunger is book seven in the Phoenix Pack series. This book is the story of Frankie and Trick. Frankie has been estranged from the pack since she was a small child and discovering that she is a much-wanted member of the pack is a bit of a revelation for her.

Frankies’s relationship with Trick starts pretty much straight away. It’s a case of insta-love that doesn’t usually come across as that superficial when shifters and mates are concerned. Still, I found she accepted her bond with Trick a little too easily, especially considering she knew very little about shifter culture (what she knew she learnt on the internet) and the fact that her world has just been turned upside down.

Wild Hunger is well written, and you can’t help but like the characters of Trick and Frankie. Fans of the series will very much enjoy this next chapter. It’s not essential to have read the previous books, I hadn’t and still enjoyed it. I would recommend having read at least one or two though, there are a lot of characters and backstories, and knowing these would allow you to follow the little internal jokes and references.

Book provided through Netgalley in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
I have to start by saying I love this Author and one of the main reasons is because she always gives me something different and wonderful in her stories. This time she gave us
Trick Hardy and Frankie Newman, a beautiful and honest couple. I loved the uncomplicated relationship between them, the situations around them were complicated, intriguing and interesting. But them as a couple was uncomplicated and beautiful. It was nice to read a story where you knew the relationship was honest and easier then most. She gave me a couple that supported each other and above all respected each other. The drama around them kept me on my toes and intrigued . The worst thing I can say about this book is it ended.

The 7th book of the series, and it wowed me. Yup...I was like "OMG, Trick!"

I am having a hard time formulating the words on how to express my happiness in regards to this book, it is one of those times that I love being a ARC reader. It is a great honor to read this kind of book in advance and be awed by Ms. Wright's writing.

Each page takes us further to the heart of the Phoenix Pack, the same goes to the Mercury Pack.

I look forward to reading more about these two series.

Frankie thinks that she has no other family and finds out her grandparents and uncle lied to her. She is taken from her shifter family and raised as a human. Her shifter family finds her and she meets Trick. He knows that she is his mate immediately. Their relationship is strained because of the lies she was told and she is torn between her two families. She comes face to face with the truth of her parents deaths and the reveal is so unexpected. Great story, did not see that twist coming!!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

I love Frankie and Trick. I have been waiting for Trick to get his own book for years. I like that Frankie is perfectly happy without Trick in her life but Trick makes her life that much better by being there and listening to her. Trick does little things that Frankie does not realize she needs help with.

WOW! What a great story, I think I was most surprised with how Frankie who is a half shifter and did not grow up with other shifters, was receptive to her animals instincts. It was refreshing to see Trick not having any hang ups with finding his true mate. He was able to recognize Frankie as his true mate the minute he laid eyes on her. Although Frankie had concerns - she listened to her instincts and was open to the idea. The story line was great and well developed. Sad to see the series is almost done.

It is no surprise that when Suzanne Wright has a new shifter book coming out, I jump to read it. Honestly, she will probably always be my absolute favorite shifter/paranormal romance writer out there. Even though her books are kind of predictable, especially if you've read nearly all of her books, I still enjoy them and will pick up the next one without fail because her writing is just so addictive!

This book focuses on Trick and Frankie and in a nice turn of events, they accept their mating bond quite easily. Usually in these books, they have the push and pull but Trick has always wanted to find his mate and Frankie is pretty drama free and doesn't act crazy just for crazy sake. Overall, I'd say it was a nice change and I liked how we could see them just be a happy couple together.

There was also the usual action/suspense at the end but this book was different in that there was a bit of a mystery subplot throughout the book about Frankie's past and her parents. It was a nice touch and it kept me on my toes throughout the book.

My one complaint about this book was the way the author used Trick's bisexuality to cause drama for the couple and just drama in general. I was happy with the way Trick talked about his sexuality and explained to Frankie about how just because he's been with both men and women, it doesn't mean that she can't give him everything or that he would be missing out. I thought it was very well done (especially with the ridiculous notion/stereotype people seem to have that bisexual people can't be monogamous or need to be with both men and women always) and after the first conversation, I was satisfied and I felt like Frankie was too. After all, they are true mates; what does it matter who he's been with in the past? She is his soulmate just like she is his and her ex's don't matter. But for some reason there was this whole sub-plot of Frankie having these continuous interactions with his ex's, in particular the men he's hooked up with and I just found the whole thing unnecessary and kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. The way gay men were portrayed and the way there was this continuous "you are not enough for him because you aren't a man" drama, really bothered me because I don't quite know what the author was trying to achieve by doing all this? It felt like she wanted to keep reminding us that he'd been with men even though it was already fine and dealt with earlier in the book. Honestly the whole thing felt unnecessary and drawn out.

Overall I would say this is another great addition to the series. It's not my favorite but it was still an enjoyable read and I am eagerly anticipating the next (and last) book in this series.

Well, ok then! Wright ups the ante with Wild Hunger in a way that is thrilling, scary, and very satisfying. The world of the Phoenix and Mercury packs is a dangerous one, a cruel one, and one with few good shifters. We see this theme over and over again in her books. The larger rise of anti-shifter elements in the human world and the egomanics in the shifter world (We're better, we should rule!) combine to create an explosive story. But beyond that, the questioning of the mating bond really threw this book over the top and into some pretty cool territory.

Trick Hardy has been a staple cool character in this series. He's been looking for his mate, albeit quietly, and living estranged from his family. He's another of the enforcers (of course) and this book definitely gives him a great backstory. But for Trick, it's the shock of his certainty that his mate was torn from him before they ever knew they were mates. Because, his mate is half-human Frankie Newman.

Frankie had no idea she had shifter family, though she did know she was half-shifter. So when her aunt's email shows up, she's surprised and confused. Enter anti-shifter bigotry. Her human family doesn't just lie about her family, they hate them because her father killed her mother. And that's just her grandparents. Don't even get me started on her uncle! Frankie is a metal artist and incredibly good. She's something else, too. She's strong and feisty, and loving and conflicted. Wright does a fantastic job showing how Frankie struggles to bridge the two halves of her family. As a character, Frankie is beautifully done.

This book is a murder mystery, but it is painted on the backdrop of a power struggle between "good" shifter forces and "bad" shifter forces with a heavy dose of anti shifter forces and how common goals (with desires for opposite outcomes) can unite people who would otherwise kill each other. The background story is as compelling as the murder mystery and as compelling as the mating between Trick and Frankie. This tripartite plot really resonated because each of the three pieces were inextricably linked to the other two and the intertwining was done masterfully.

In the end, the results feel right in this world. It's strength is love and Trick and Frankie both get what they need and want in their relationship. This was a wonderful book and I look forward to more in this series.

What a great book! Frankie is such a contradiction. I loved how she reacted to proverbs. This story is so well written. I enjoyed how the author brings all the twists together with such finess.. I have to say the bad guy had me stumped until the reveal. Highly recommend this series and this book..

WILD HUNGER by Suzanne Wright. Ms. Wright brings us the tale of Frankie and Trick in this one. Frankie, having lived under the roof of her human grandparents since she was three, has had no contact with her pack family. She is strong and independent, despite being quite vulnerable and always trying to prove herself. Honestly, snarky and sassy heroines are not always my favorite. Now, I don't like them to be pushovers but innocent and sweet are usually my type, However, I grew to love Frankie. And Trick- oh boy! He's yummy! I adored how he cherished Frankie and how he gets all alpha on her. Their connection and chemistry is off the charts and, whew! I needed to break out the fan a time or two. Ms. Wright incorporates so much throughout the story - obviously, there's the love story but there's also mystery and danger too. This is book 7 of the series. I have not read the previous books but I was able to follow along without a problem. There was a time or two that something might have been mentioned that I didn't quite follow but nothing that impacted the story itself. If you enjoy paranormal and shifter stories, I recommend this one. (received ARC for honest review)

Wild Hunger is the 7th book in the Phoenix Pack series by Suzanne Wright. We only recently found author Suzanne Wright and we love this series!
Sometimes we just need a break from romance and paranormal is always a great cleaning of our reading pallet.

As always, the romance is super steamy. Shifters are passionate and carnal creatures and there’s a whole lot of sexy time going on. But it’s reflective of their relationship and the intensity of everything that is happening between them. And it’s balanced really well with the emotional side of things as Trick supports Frankie through the changes in her life, and coming to terms with the secrets of her past.

We can't wait for more from this series and this author!
