The story is great. It could be read as a stand alone novel but it would be nice to read to read Kian’s story before.

Unfortunately, this book just didn't work for me. I found the plot overwrought with drama and there was a disappointing lack of chemistry between the hero and heroine. I was also given whiplash from the hot and cold feelings and the overabundance of unnecessary drama. I made it to the end to see how the suspense resolved, but there may have been a lot of skimming involved.

3.5 Stars - Arden and Keera had quite the plot in their story. It made for good reading. Max was an added bonus. The only thing that was disappointing was there was never an indication as to Angela and no one asked about her at the hospital, also there is a semi-cliffhanger. I don't like those, for these reasons I could not rate it higher. This series has not been as good as this author's previous series.

The book has Kara the principle of the school dealing with break-ins and other illegal happing’s going on. Arden the billionaire teacher football is working to help her find the problem. Meanwhile, while they find each other attractive she keeps him at arm’s length still as the problems intensify at the school then in her office you begin to wonder who is the person that is giving the students the drugs. The author keeps the suspense going between that and the relationship between Kara and Arden until the end. Overall an okay story.

Arden was an exciting story with a few suspenseful moments thrown into the storyline while also having some really sweet moments as well.. This has some great moments in the story that made this story to be an enjoyable read.

I have chosen not to review this title. My apologies for the delay in responding to this and advising you of this, especially as it is likely obvious I have chosen not to review, I thought I had sent in all of my DNF titles.

Arden is the second book to the Undercover Billionaire series by Melody Anne, but it can be read as stand-alone. Arden was in a school as a teacher and Keera is the new principal there. After some violent events took place, Arden is set on protecting her and they finally act on their feelings for each other. Add a dog to the mix and you have the ingredients for a good story and it was. It had some elements that were not that good, but most books do and overall I liked this one.

For some reason, I couldn't get into this book. I ended up not finishing it, only reading half the book. I may pick it back up on a later day depending on my mood.

I just couldn't get into this book. I got about half way through before I had to give up. The characters were just boring to me and I didn't care about what happened to them. I was more interested in the dog than the H & h. Sad tweet :(

I just love this Author and have been a big fan since the Anderson’s books and I just had to get my hands on this series too. I loved Kian and Arden now too. Can’t wait for Owen. This book is hot, sexy, great story. Just had it all. Definitely will be doing a re-read of this book and series again in the future.

The hero, Arden, is a billionaire working as a high school history teacher. Keera, the heroine, is his new principal. This sounded like catnip to me and I’m a huge Melody Anne fan. Unfortunately, this book fell a little flat for me.

That being said, I think Melody Anne is a great author and I would definitely recommend trying her out even if this book is not my favorite.

ARDEN is the second book in the UNDERCOVER BILLIONAIRE series. In the first book, KIAN, we were introduced to the five siblings—four brothers and a sister. Since this is only book two there is much more story to tell!

Arden is a high school teacher and is attracted to Keera—the principal and his boss—and the feelings may be reciprocated. The story had a bit of an ick factor for me since they weren’t good about hiding the way they felt and were often seen together in and out of school.

Arden is very protective of Keera when some bad things start happening to her office, the school, and her home. She’s not one to live with fear, due to her upbringing, which we learn about a little at a time. The vice principal isn’t a nice person, though he tries to show he is. He gives off bad vibes, but Keera is always trying to find the good in people even when things get dicey. And he was her first “friend” when she first became principal there not that long ago.

Arden’s brother, Declan, gives Arden a retired police dog so the dog will continue to feel useful. Declan also wants Arden to use Max (the dog) to sniff out drugs at the high school, since there are suspicions that something drug-related is going on. Max has definite personality traits and seems like he can understand both words and feelings. He’s a nice addition to the story. It’s fun to watch him bond with Arden,and to see how close Max gets to Keera, always wanting to be there to protect her. It seemed as if Max and Arden were actually fighting for the honor!

The story is filled with family and school-related activities. It’s also full of emotion and romance. There’s an underlying mystery and hidden agendas to the story that at times feel predictable. Most of the book has a nice flow, but parts are a little choppy and don’t always segue into the next scene. There is a happily ever after, but the epilogue doesn’t take it far enough, even if it gives a hint of what’s to come.

Melody Anne is a fairly new-to-me author. I look forward to reading more, not only in this series, but the other books she’s written as well.

I've read a few titles by the talented Melody Anne and appreciate her writing style very much.

Arden is about a secret billionaire who is also a teacher and he loves his job. Keera is the school principal who would love nothing more than to have a relationship with Arden. However, she does not want that to happen because of their jobs but more because of the danger that surrounds her. Arden is determined to find out who and why she is unsafe.

Well written and an interesting story line that does not rely on the usual tropes in romance. I enjoyed reading this book and thank you.

I've read the other books in the series and I have to say that out of all of them - this was the most suspenseful!! I loved the fact that this wasn't as sexy as the rest and didn't have a bunch of sexual situations in it. I'm probably in the minority but I like a book with some plot to it. That being said...I didn't feel like the female character, Keera was all that well-rounded. She just came across as blah sometimes. The one who made it for me was Arden. Overall, I really liked this book and would definitely read the next one.

Provided with a free ARC by Netgalley for an honest review. I have read other Melody Anne books and have really loved them. I felt this one moved a little slower than others. The romance between Keera and Arden was sweet but not as erotic as I expected. That being said and the fact that I didn't read the first book in the series, I very much enjoyed this book. The characters are interesting and the plot suspenseful. Although not everything is resolved, there is a happily for now ending. I assume the next episode will wrap them up and I look forward to reading more.

On top of the school problems, someone is stalking her. Keera is hiding a secret about her past, which may have followed her into town. However, Arden is determined to protect Keera, as well as their school and town.

Arden is geared towards those who are interested in modern romances with suspense. Unfortunately, this wasn't a book that I enjoyed, despite the various twists and turns throughout the story.

This was a cute story, that had suspense, romance and a police dog named Max. That’s all you need! Arden Forbes, the hero of this story, is the History teacher and football coach of the local high school in the town he and his brothers and sister grew up in. When a new principal, Keera Thompson, comes along, the trouble starts. Drugs in his school? Arden doesn’t want to believe it, but his FBI brother Declan thrusts a retired Police dog into his hands and the story begins.
Keera has trust issues (daddy was a drug lord that left her mom, her brother and herself high and dry when the police caught up to him and took away all their wealthy belongings, leaving them with nothing). She trusts Max first and can’t deny the sparks and sexual tension between Arden and her. Will she get a happily ever after? Or will the past get her first?

Arden - I loved Ardens character design, his charm and protective nature but still having that weary "she seems like she has a lot of baggage' initial input for Keera. I liked that we came in knowing he was just being a good guy with a subtle interest in our leading lady while not bringing the 'my lady is in trouble and I must help her even though she doesn't know she's my lady' macho scenario.
Keera - I think Keera was a bit of a weak character, there wasn't that much dimension to me for her. I really enjoyed reading about her 'darkish' past and how she initially was brought into the life of being a . . . oh no wait I didn't. Sorry she was such a bland character for me.
As much as I enjoyed this book for the romance and smexy times, I felt that they initial 'suspense' was a little off key for me. We are initially introduced to Keera as having some sort of dark past that has now followed her into her line of work as a principle (new principle might I add) throwing up trouble in her school and gaining the attention of Arden, our history teacher who has a little crush on miss trouble. Now, the initial trouble come to find out, seems legit, no one wants to get into the ring of drug lords and then be on their radar for kill zone. The issue is that I think there should have been some more time before the 'uh oh' was introduced. Like two years or something, I guess it would have felt more believable if hope and security has reasonable settled in for Keera. Then the up throw would have caused more trauma ... which makes more sense for me. Initially, I enjoyed the book and romance, not so much the actual 'suspense' of the problem she was dealing with.

Arden was all to willing to step in after the recent attacks towards Keera. Every protective instinct he had would protect her from the danger that continually is not too far behind. As the attacks begin to escalate they slowly become closer as Keera tries to keep part of past hidden. The past should remain in the past? Right. It always seems to follow you reminding you of where you came from or the danger you are thrown into. Absolutely loved this book and it is definitely a must read.
