The Whipping Club is a historical fiction novel which I really wanted to enjoy. Spanning two generations and harsh conditions in the Irish education system, it seemed to drag for me. The author, Deborah Henry, had well-developed characters and many of them feel relatable to the reader.

My apologies if I never forwarded feedback previously; this book was very much not to my tastes, and I was unable to finish. No review or rating was posted in any of my usual venues.
