Book 4 in the Redemption Harbor series and you must read the previous books or you won't understand the connections to the side characters. This one is about Brook's sister Hadley, who we found out about in the last book. And Axel O'Sullivan who used to be an FBI agent but is now a hired assassin. He had a contract come through his agent for Hadley, and because he doesn't take those types of contracts he decides to look into it. He was just going to warn her and her family what was going on. Until he met her and felt such a hard pull towards her, even knowing she shouldn't be for him. Hadley's whole life has changed since she met her father and brother. But she never thought it would change to the point that there would be people out to hurt her. Or that the man she is falling for is something she didn't know about.

I loved this book! I couldn't put it down once I started it. It was that good! I absolutely loved Axel and the way he is with Hadley. I love that he wants her to keep her innocence of what the world can truly be like and does whatever he can to be there for her. Hadley is a sweetie but she still has a backbone of steel! She isn't afraid to stand up for what or whom she believes in. And if she loves you and wants you in her life, she will stand beside you. I love how they interact with each other and how they treat each other respect. This book was surprise for me. After the last one I honestly expected the next one to be about Gage. But honestly, this one was so good that I am absolutely glad it comes first! I was honestly surprised with how much I loved Axel (and Hadley) since they don't have anything directly to do with the business the other's are in. I wasn't sure how it would truly connect to the others. But this author definitely knows how to make it all come together and to make a person love the story! I can't wait for the next one!

When I read the blurb on this book I knew this one was going to be my favorite of the series. I love the idea of a contract killer falling for a target. Already being a fan of Katie Reus and her Alpha's, I knew she would do this particular story line justice.

If you have never read this author before, she doesn't go very dark in her series. While the hero is a contract killer, he is still very much a good guy. He's just lost faith in the system and has taken it into his own hands to bring down the bad guys.

Hadley is a fairly new character to the series. We got introduced to her in the previous book when she approached Brooks letting him know she was his half sister. Her mom kept her from her father and Brookes growing up and is just now getting to know them.

Hadley isn't from the world that Axel, her brother and all the other characters in this series are from. She's still young and somewhat naive but she gets a fast introduction into their dangerous world when she becomes the target.

This is an awesome series and I'm looking forward to the next book. ARC provided by NetGalley.

This was a very enjoyable action-packed romantic suspense novel. It's the fourth in the series and I definitely felt a little lost with all the characters but still enjoyed the story. I'll be reading the rest of the series now.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

I really enjoyed, Innocent Target. There was a lot of focus on past characters. But not so much that you couldn't read this as a stand-alone novel.

Hadley has moved to RedemptionHarbor after connecting with her Father and half brother. Now because of who her Father is she has become a target. Someone wants to get back at her Father and thinks he can use her to get to him. Axel is a contract killer, but he is selective about his targets. When a contract targeting Hadley comes to him by mistake he decides he needs to stop it. He is immediately attracted to her.

This is the fourth book in the Redemption Harbor series but could be read as a stand alone. This action starts right from the first page of this book and continues thru til the end. There is also a romance between Hadley and Axel, two very different people. We know someone has a grudge against Hadley’s Father but no suspects are presented. The story focuses on the hitmen coming after her and the efforts to stop them til the end when we find out who hired them. This book will catch your interest and hold it til the end. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy of this book.
