A story that goes to show that patience does pay and love comes with trust and a desire to see the best of each other. I loved Logan and Laina's journey in this book, and I have a feeling that with Logan there's still a lot he has to deal with, especially regarding his mom's decision to up and leave. It's a good read, a great companion for an evening or weekend read. Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
Logan has been trying to get Laina's attention for a year. Logan is so sweet in his pursuit of Laina. This is a very nice story of their romance. Many of their friends are part of this book as well. I received a free copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is the first book that I read in this series, where the friend relationships have built since the first book. This story does focused mainly on Logan and Laina and is still enjoyable as a standalone I just think that it would have been a richer story if I had previously read the earlier ones. There are steamy moments as well as a suspenseful one near the end of the book. Overall, I'm glad that I read this book and would read others by this author.
Not a bad book. Predictable all the way. Put it down for a day or two and didnt feel compelled to finish it. It's really just an ok read.
This book wasn't for me. The blurb sounded interesting enough and thought I'd take a chance.
But the book just wasn't a good fit. The plot itself wasn't bad, the story just seemed to lag.
I couldn't relate to the characters because they felt one dimensional to me. The book got off to a relatively good start and then seemed to tank. I had to push myself to finish it.
I will add that I liked Donovan, his wit and charm gave it a little spark and that was a plus for me.
Other readers of the series may enjoy this.

Ah, there is nothing wrong or bad about House of Belonging, but there is nothing attractive about it either. Worse thing about this book, is that neither the characters nor the story strikes a chord in me. Sure, there's heartbreak and betrayal, but they feel disconnect from the character. Overall, not going to recommend it, because I am sure you have read something similar like a million times already.
A pleasant read, nothing out of the ordinary not really a page turner gets a bit boring the plot line could have been written without unecessary details, thus missing the plot and msking it long winded.

This book is mainly romance with a dash of suspense thrown in. The main character is Lainie who is a chef and entrepreneur who has recently decided to move to Colorado to open her own restaurant. The friendships and relations she develops in here and how it changes her forms the crux of the story. And as usual the dark mysterious past of the main characters gives the suspense element of the story.
What I liked was how detailed each character was. The author really delivered in trying to give a very well rounded picture of the character. The romance between Launie and Logan was nice. The suspense was expected and not really that suspenseful but not too bad.
What I didnt like was all the rest of it. There was no real conflict and if at all any conflict was there they were resolved quiet easily. Also the conversations between the characters did not always ring true. It felt very artificial and that made getting into the story quiet difficult for me. So all in all I would like to give this a three star rating
