A fun book for the dog lover in your life. This book is perfect for all ages and really is descriptive work workout plans, stretching and how to get fit with your dog.
I can't review this book properly as it won't open on any of my devices. I won't give it one star for that, though, as it is neither the author's fault nor fair.
Great book! It is a fun idea and helpful. We got some ideas we will try when considering getting fit and having our dog with us when doing this. It helps make this a family affair.
Not really sure what I was expecting, but for me this book amounted to little more than take the dog outside and do exercise. I really don't need a book to tell me this. I think I was hoping for fun activities or exercises specifically designed to increase fitness for yourself and the dog. Incredibly disappointed with this.
Part nutrition guide, part fitness routine, and part dog training, this is an approachable way to start a fitness routine with your dog. Suggestions for both of you for types of workouts, what to eat, getting checked out by a doctor before starting, and more. Lots of full-color photos and helpful tips and charts.
This is a wonderful idea for a book. The training tips and suggestions for games and activities to enjoy with your dog are all great, but some of the suggestions for human fitness and nutrition (the food pyramid, stretching suggestions) are based on slightly outdated science.
I fell in love with this book's cover and the content did not disappoint! While there are other books out there on this topic, "Get Fit with Your Dog" must be one of the best ones. The production value is outstanding and the activities are perfect for me to do with my Scottish collie Lucy. The author Karen Sullivan did a great job and her extensive nutrition background combined with her point of view (to have fun getting in shape together) make for a totally worthwhile read. Highly recommend.
This an excellent companion book for exercising with dogs. The book contains good references and useful information to prepare the workout with our lovely companion.
