I absolutely loved this book and will highly and frequently recommend it to my customers! Thank you, NetGalley, for the advance copy!
This book wobbles between humor and being offensive. Parts did make me laugh but many of his observations seemed like sacrilege. I think that this would appeal to teens trying to understand the book of Exodus. They are more receptive to this kind of humor. Did not read his previous book on Genesis and I’m guessing there will be additional books from the Bible. I received a copy of this arc in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I laughed I learned I loved. This book is a great book to teach you when you don't really get "interested" in the bible. I loved this.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was an entertaining synopsis of the book of Exodus. Micah’s humor made re-reading exodus enjoyable. At $3.99 it is a great price and hard to pass up. I plan to read the book on Genesis that Micah wrote.

Fun and quick (136 pages) re-telling of Exodus, the part of the bible where Moses is found in a basket swimming on the Nile, helps God bring the ten plagues onto the Egyptians, leads his folk through the desert to the land of milk and honey, divides the Red Sea, and writes down the ten commandments. And a lot of interior design instructions as well, as I hear.
The author writes with a lot of humor and a good bit of sarcasm, not afraid of questioning bible facts (were the Jews really enslaved?) and criticizing God’s omnipotence.
Highly recommended for entertainment but also if you’d like a quick recap about bible stories. Not for the overly religious or bible thumpers, though.
This slightly-irreverent recounting of the book of Exodus was _exactly_ what my students needed! They've been bucking Bible studies (it's not cool, you know), but fell in love with the snarkiness of this. I read it aloud to them, and they kept asking for more. We'll be going back and getting the Genesis one...and I hope to see the other Torah books released as well. Admittedly, if you're uber-religious, you probably won't enjoy this. But if you want a re-telling of the Bible stories, with all of the important parts included and at least a mention of everything in between, in a way that will make you laugh out loud...this the the book for you!
"If only Pharaoh had toad the line."
This book made me laugh and occasionally cringe but it was a very enjoyable read. Love the cover.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
(As an aside, NetGalley will not allow me to link my GoodReads review to this. I've left the same review there.)
