As usual, Lauren Layne delivers a delicious romance, full of witty banter and buzzing tension. I loved how Sabrina and Matt were drawn to each other in spite of their arrangement. I love the dynamics of their friends group (I've found Lauren Layne to be amongst the absolute best at this in all her series). The backstories of both characters really make sense in the development of Matt and Sabrina's relationship. Layne does a great job of building the relationship between the two, and I really appreciated the lack of big drama. I really enjoyed the nods to previous books, and I thoroughly hope that Kennedy and Kate's book arrives at some point, because it would be great to see more from these characters. Many thanks for the ARC.

I've been waiting for Matt and Sabrina's story!!! We were given a brief introduction to them in the first book in this amazing series that leaves you wanting for more. The tension between the two is so thick everyone can feel it yet no one but those two know the real reason for the tension.

Matt finds himself in a bind, he needs a fake girlfriend to correct his image after he had a little too much fun at a bachelor party over a weekend. The problem? He doesn't want anyone to fall in love with him and suddenly want more when their agreement ends. His friend's solution is simple-Sabrina. Who better for Matt than someone who hates him?

The banter between the two had me laughing almost to the point of tears at times. Though there were plenty of other times when I wanted to strangle both of them!

Just like in the first book we're given a little more about two other characters that leave us demanding more. Will something happen between Katie and Kennedy? Something tells me that story is going to be HUGE because of who Katie is to these three men. Can't wait to read their story!

What a fun read! I always enjoy a sassy, snarky heroine and a couple with chemistry and banter is always a plus. I was expecting a little more of an enemies to lovers book but this one turned out to be frenemies with benefits to lovers. It was still an enjoyable, fun read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It's easy to be tempted to describe this story as an enemies-to-lovers, but that would be wrong. What it actually is, is two friends-with-benefits, who haven't yet realized that they really are friends, who falls in love with each other.

It's a very heartwarming as well as a funny fake girlfriend story, and I'm a total sucker for these. ❤

I'm looking forward to the next book.

Lauren Layne's books are always easily good reads. This was quite entertaining and I really like how badass Sabrina is. I can't wait to read Kate and Kennedy's story.

Sabrina and Matt were amazing!! I loved them! They are wild, passionate and sexy! Their banter alone we're enough for me. Then add the emotions and Bam!

I'm dying for Kennedy's book!

I love the combination of tropes in Hard Sell! Layne mixes a bit of hate-to-love with a dash of fake relationship to create a really delightful story!

I adored book 1 in this series and knew I wanted more of Matt and Sabrina. Matt is Ian's coworker and friend and Sabrina and Ian grew up together. Sabrina and Ian like arguing and having sex together. If they aren't doing 1, they are doing the other! Sabrina is one of the women I have always thought were so cool-an NYC fixer with tons of connections and a very lavish lifestyle. In Hard Sell we get more background on her and see behind her facade. Matt, like Ian in Hot Asset, is a bit of a playboy (ok, he is a manwhore!) who is now weathering his own scandal. I'm not gonna lie, at times, its difficult to like Matt. He is so arrogant and self aggrandizing. He has to figure out how to fix his image or he will lose his job (which to him is his identity!).

Matt and Sabrina have a complicated past that created their disdain. Their relationship is twisty and strange and it just oddly works. Again, there were a few times I wanted to nut punch Matt for being a douche. Seriously, he was an idiot. Even when I hated Matt, I loved the story! I liked Sabrina way more than I expected because she is more than just this gorgeous, glamorous NYC woman.

Hard sell is perfect for fans of opposites attract, reformed manwhores, and successful women!

In the second book of 21 Wall Street, we get to follow Matt Cannon. He is one of the young, hot, smart Wall Street tycoons we were introduced to in the previous book. Matt and Sabrina have always hated each other, but we don’t know why. Their chemistry is amazing, and they are both really good at what they do. They just can’t be in the same room at the same time without a cataclysm taking place. That is until Matt screws up royally and requires Sabrina’s help. Great romance read with all the right ingredients. Fans of Sex in the City will love this book series.

After Hot Asset I looked forward to Matt and Sabrina. They had some tension cause of the history between them and knowing a bit makes it intriguing. They were frenemies with benefits before anything else, that was a interesting concept but makes sense. All the bickering though makes it hard on their mutual friends. Their new agreement for Sabrina to help Matt out to clean his rep by posing as his girlfriend is perfect for him. No chance of falling for the other and really settling down both of them think.

It's the perfect set up and most people are buying it. Slowly though getting to know the other beyond the bickering they chip the walls each of them have. Something Sabrina said summed up their current status well, the person with the power to destroy you can be the pne to lift you up and shines light into the dark. They are more vulnerable to the their own growing feelings but with their own issues with relationships. I can see they would be great, when they support the other things are much better. I hope they realize what they've got in front of them before it's too late.

Hard Sell is Matt and Sabrina's relationship in two words. Lots of negotiating and making plans, I like how they evolved from hate to love. It's sweet and sexy with a touch of finace. I'm liking this Wall Street based series, I like the two books so far. Ian and Matt are also quite different in terms of personalities and upbringing. Excited for Kennedy and Kate's book.

Another great read from Lauren Layne! This is the last in the series and it was great to see peaks of past characters. Loved this series and can't wait to see what's next.

I think this is my first "enemies with benefits" story. I was a bit skeptical at first but it did work very well. Of course Sabrina and Matt were not real enemies and they learned to deal with the many emotions being together seemed to generate.
I loved the bikering and the chemistry. Lauren Layne dropped little info about Sabrina and Matt's past along the way that really helped me understand them and ultimately love them.
The ending was very sweet too.

Meet Matt Connor. Second of our three gentlemen, ahem... at 21 Wall Street. Holy hell this book knocked me off my feet, I did not put it down until the last page. Lauren just blew this one right out of the water. I love this series but this book.... a total button pusher.
Matt is the whiz kid at work. His brain is on auto calculate constantly, it makes him good at what he does. His two best friends and co workers Ian and Kennedy work right along side him. Matt finds himself in hot water when he returns from a bachelor party in Las Vegas and finds himself splashed on the pages of the Wall Street Journal. Little did he know that a reporter from the journal was also in the strip club that night and thought they'd scoop a story on Wall Streets wunderkind. The Wolf's are still in recovery mode after what Ian went through (read book one, it's a must read) and now with Matt in the limelight it doesn't look good. When he's called front and center while still hungover from his trip, the Sam's make him an offer, clean it up, get a girlfriend or you're out. Matt hadn't even seen the paper yet.
When the guys put their heads together to try and find a girl for him, which Matt totally resents. He's so anti-relationship he's probably got the t shirt. When the guys come up with the one person that will never fall for him, never expect more, never ever... in fact she hates Matt. They have their girl. Now all he has to do is convince her. Matt and Sabrina had a falling out 4 years ago. They can't be in the same room together which always makes it rough as they share the same friends. She's a fixer but her clients are confidential, high profile and she's well known in all the right circles. It takes some doing but Matt pleads with her and she sets down some rules and they decide to go for it. Things are rough at first and they manage to smooth out. Matt comes from an unusual family, he doesn't tell anyone about his family life. Sabrina barely has a past. Ian, she has Ian. She and Ian have been friends since they were kids. He knows her so well and is protective of her. She keeps her past in the past.
This story was a thrill to watch unfold, all the ups and downs. The chemistry was sizzling and Matt ... well you have to read about Matt. I loved the characters, we see Lara again, now living with Ian. Katie, who is the admin for all three of the men and has a serious thing for Kennedy. He's a tough one to figure out, can't wait for his book. The story took a serious left turn with no blinker and I was left waving my kindle in the air... is all well? And does it end well?
This is an absolute must read and Lauren really knocked it out of the park.
Deserves more than 5 stars.

I love Lauren Layne’s books and Hard Sell does not disappoint. We know Matt and Sabrina from Hot Asset but don’t know their history together!
This book brings out emotions of these 2 characters who have history but don’t know how to have a relationship. They are supported by amazing characters throughout the book.

She’s a fixer and he needs her help. The chemistry, intensity, banter between Matt and Sabrina is amazing. The question is- when they are finally honest with one another and break down their walls- can they be together….

It’s a great lunch be story of Matt and Sabrina. They have mutual friends so they have always had a love hate relationship. Matt needed Sabrina help to safe his career and the two love cynics didn’t understand what was happening. Decently a fun easy read

Lauren Layne has done it again! Hard Sell is the second installment in the 21 Wall Street series and trust me when I say you don’t want to miss this gem!

When Wall Street Wolf, Matt Cannon, finds himself as the subject of an unsavory Wall Street Journal article, his bosses aren’t happy! Even though most of the article is completely fabricated, some of his clients are ready to jump ship! Ultimately his bosses draw a hard line- either get a “girlfriend” for publicity reasons or he’s fired! Matt decides to ask, Sabrina, a women who can’t stand him...and the only girl he’s ever wanted!

Sabrina Cross is super successful in public relations. Sabrina, a well known “fixer” seems to always have a strategy for any issue...except her own love life! When Matt asks her to be his fake girlfriend, her initial thought is hell no! But when Matt challenges her that she couldn’t spend an entire month with him and not develop “feelings” she decides to accept the challenge just so she can prove him wrong, but makes one amendment— no touching (except in public for the purpose of their ruse)! Matt and Sabrina have always had a love/hate relationship, but the one thing they could never deny is their explosive chemistry!!!

I love, love, love the premise of Hard Sell!!! Being that both Sabrina and Matt were strong-willed and very independent, I couldn’t wait read how their plan would play out! Lauren Layne does a fantastic with the pacing of this novel- I was on the hook from beginning until the end. This novel has the perfect combination of humor, steam and sass that will have you glued to your kindle! I recommend everyone read this 4.5 star novel! I am excited for more in this addictive series!

I really enjoyed this one! I’m a sucker for enemies-to-lovers but they weren’t true enemies, they just like to argue with each other. I think it got them going to bicker with each other. It definitely lead to some awesome sexual tension. I’m looking forward to the next couple, I like them the best.

I wanted to love this book. I almost, ALMOST, did. But, the last 85% felt really rushed and kind of out of the blue for me.

Sabrina and Matt have history. It's a little unpleasant but they put their personal feelings aside to help rehab Matt's professional life when an unfortunate picture taken at a bachelors party in Vegas lands him in hot water with his bosses.

The set up was really good and I enjoyed the characters a lot. I loved the friendships among the 3 Wall Street friends. If there is one thing Lauren Layne can do really well, it's write witty, humorous exchanges between friends who've been friends for a long time.

However, Matt's unexpected question in response to gossip columns and Sabrina's response had me feeling a little lost and baffled. It's like the author lost the thread at that point and knew she needed a way to wrap up the book; however, I will say that the very end of the book was delightful and I'm now even more excited for Kennedy's book.

This was so close to a 5 star read for me. ALMOST but not quite.

Matt Cannon the golden boy of Wall Street. He is a playboy and after a wild weekend in Vegas celebrating at his cousin bachelor party that playboy lifestyle may also be the down fall of his career. He needs to clean up his image, get a girlfriend and settle down. The one girl who can help him out? Sabrina Cross. Matt and Sabrina have history, they have hooked up a time or two in the past and their run in the same social circles. Both are also best friends with Ian. They can’t stand each other, so she is the perfect person to be his fake girlfriend because there is no chance she will fall in love with him or is there a chance?

After reading Hot Asset, I wanted to know about Matt and Sabrina. There was just something about them that intrigued me and let’s just say that Hard Sell did not disappoint me. The sexual tension between these two was phenomenal and I just couldn’t get enough. I loved their bickering with one another as well. For two people who claim to hate each other they sure had some fantastic chemistry.

I loved getting some more of Ian, Kennedy, Lara and Kate as well! I can’t wait for Kennedy’s story and reading more about my favorite people of Wall Street!

For anyone who is a fan of friends/enemies/lovers this is definitely a story I would recommend.
