It just doesn't get better!!

Ahhh.. how I already LOVE this series so much! First we had sexy Ian Bradley and now comes his best friend and co-worker, Matt. Matt is the young guy in the office and also the boy-genius. He grew up being the smart one and still it all comes too easy for him. He's hot, he's smart and he is making it up the ladder at work, quickly. Everything is great in his life, until he makes his way into work Monday morning after a trip to Vegas for a bachelor party and he finds himself in the hot seat at work by his two bosses. What do they want him to do... clean up his act and get a girlfriend to show he is growing up.

Sabrina and Matt have had a enemies/feud relationship going for years now. They also mix in a little "hate" sex on and off again. They both say they can't stand to be in each others presense - but they also are very-very attracted to each other.

This book was amazing. The perfect enemy to lovers story line. It's a 5 star, all the way around!

You need to read this book!!!!!!

I read this as an ARC from netgalley, I also read the book prior to this one and Lauren layne doesn’t disappoint . I was hoping that Matt and Sabrina would get their own story! They were hot in hard asset, they were scorching in this story. Their dynamic makes it easy to get absorbed in the book. It’s a perfect beach read

Thank you Lauren and netgalley for allowing me to read this book!

Hard Sell is a highly enjoyable frenemies to lovers romance. Matt Needs help fixing his image and Sabrina is just the one to do it. Sabrina is tough as nails when it comes to her job but she has this soft side that I loved seeing come out. Matt is smart and has a no marriage ever stance from his past. Watching these too frenemies come together is heart warming the more and more you learn about their pasts. Watching them both grow as the fake relationship becomes real is beautiful. I love this series and I can't wait for the next book.

Fantastic! I was a fan of the first book and Matt and Sabrina are featured there, but they didn't capture my attention that much. But my oh my, that changed completely with this book!
Their chemistry is off the charts, they banter is amazing and the way their backstories show you a glimpse as to why it's all messed up - and yet they are so perfect for each other - works perfectly.
As Sabrina helps Matt restore his badly tattered reputation - fake dating! - you see how the two of them lower their walls and let themselves in.
Kate and Kennedy are a wonderful again and it makes me eager to know their story so much!
This is a great book that I devoured in one day, crying my heart out in some places and sighing happily at the end.
Wonderful!!

I absolutely LOVED this book! Matt & Sabrina are perfect together and they have great chemistry. My only regret is that I have not read the first book in the series although it’s not necessary to follow along. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series & I will definitely be reading Hot Sell! 5Stars!

I am a lover of these type of enemies to lover stories so I was excited to dig into this one and check out this author. I thoroughly enjoyed both her story and her writing style and devoured this book in less than 24 hours. It was such a nice fun and flirty read that left me smiling and giddy reading it.

Sabrina and Matt met through mutual friends and their chemistry was instant from the moment they met. Their love for each other not so much, yet the chemistry seems to be bringing them back from time to time to the bedroom. But Matt needs help out of a situation and no one better to fix it than the fixer herself.

I loved Sabrina. She was fun and sassy and she gave it to Matt every chance she got. I absolutely loved their banter. But I also loved that even though she didn't have a great upbringing, she has made something of herself professional along with being strong and independent.

What can I say about Matt that will truly do him justice. Matt is hot, sexy and very smart, especially when it comes to numbers. But like Sabrina, a bit jaded on love and marriage based on his upbringing even though his upbringing was much different than hers. He may be cynical when it comes to love but when it comes to Sabrina, whether he realizes it or not, he is her prince charming.

This book had such great banter and a really great dynamic built between these two main characters. I also loved the cast of characters that comes along with this series. I have not read Ian and Lara's story, and must say at no point did I feel like I was missing out on anything other than another great story having not read it first. Sabrina and Matt have history, some of which may have been seen in the prior book but it didn't leave this story lacking at all.. I loved the chemistry that was going on between these two, it was totally off the charts hot but I love that this book didn't turn into the sex scene after sex scene, leaving more story than sex in this one. It was such a great fun and flirty story that I couldn't help but fall in love with all the characters and will be clicking hot asset next for sure along with anxiously awaiting Kennedy and Kate's story. This was a really 5 star fabulous story, the only down side is the story's flow played out great all through the book until the last 20% or so, found the last 20% to feel very rushed, wish the speed of flow could have remained consistent to the end, so overall a 4.5 star read for me

I had not read anything by this author prior to reading Hot Asset, which I absolutely loved. I really enjoy the author's writing style, and she has created characters and a group of friends that are so easy to like. I could not wait for Hard Sell, and I enjoyed it just as much as Hot Asset.

In Hot Asset, Matt finds himself in hot water at work and needs a fixer. Sabrina agrees to help him for a variety of reasons that only become clear as the book goes on. I adored Sabrina and Matt as characters, as fake boyfriend and girlfriend, and ultimately as two halves of an unconventional whole.

I read this book in one sitting as I could not put it down. I loved reading more about Lara, Ian, and Kate and Kennedy too. I'm hoping Kennedy's book is next, and would definitely read anything by this author.

Cute, enjoyable read following two characters seen in the first book, Hot Asset. The relationship between Matt and Sabrina is lovely, but would have been better if readers could get more than a glimpse of the first time they met and what had happened. Overall, perfect for a feel-good read.

First time reading from this author and I have to say this book is so good.

Matt Cannon is a broker for the Wolfe’s company. He goes to a bachelor party and gets wild and gets his pictures posted in the Times Journals. His bosses suggest to get a girlfriend or find a new job. That’s when we get to neet Sabrina. They go way back.

Matt and Sabrina are amazing together but afraid to push for more in the relationship department. I love how Matt had to work for his relationship with Sabrina. It wasn’t an instant love relationship. They fought and they got mad/anger with one another. I was hoping he would fall in love with Sabrina instead of me a stubborn man and let his parents marriage determine his life. You can clearly see the love they have for one another and they both have a past that they need to get over with. In the end he gets the girl.

I absolutely love this book. I can’t wait to read more about their friends. I hope there is a story about Kennedy and Kate.

I loved the banter between Matt and Sabrina.

Matt and Sabrina have a past. They've enjoyed a casual, on-again/off-again relationship for years but now, Matt needs Sabrina's help to rehabilitate his image. Now that they are trapped together by their working relationship, Sabrina wants to make their sexual relationship off limits. Tensions simmer and sparks fly--what a great story!

I really enjoyed this--so much so that I promptly purchased the first book to enjoy at the beach. Lauren Layne is a fantastic writer. Don't miss Hard Sell!

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

This book was unexpectedly amazing. I completely loved it.

Matt and Sabrina have been frienemies with benefits for years, every time they see each other, they can't avoid fighting, even though their friends are sick of it.

When Matt appears in The Wall Street Journal while a stripper is giving him a lap dance, his bosses "the Sams" (the greatest power couple ever) give him an ultimatum, clean up his act and get a girlfriend or get another job.

So he needs a fake girlfriend who won't fall in love with him and his friends suggest his "mortal enemy" Sabrina.

Since it's Sabrina's job to fix people's lives, she accepts after a little convincing, under one condition, no more sex between them.

I loved how Sabrina and Matt already knew each other, but still had a lot lo learn, they couldn't keep themselves from fighting but they still cared about each other. This wasn't your typical enemies to lovers book, because from the beginning they trusted each other.

They started out trying to get away from the other and ended up wanting to spend all their time together.

Their little convinient "dates" ended up being real and they started hanging out even when there was no one around.

I love the little group the Wolves have, and how they always knew there was something between them and pushed them to figure out what was going on.

I love how domestic they ended up being, just sitting together on the couch doing nothing in particular.

The most incredible part of this book was how they actually wanted the best for each other and just like in the previous book, they took their time to figure out how to include themselves in their happily ever after.

I simply can't wait for the next book and I really hope it's Kennedy and Kate's book and is as amazing as this one.

Arc Provided through NetGalley

I really enjoyed the second installment of the series. I do wish there was more background about the night the two main characters first met like a flashback or something but I enjoyed their chemistry and connection

FIVE “SABRINA” STARS

After the super read on Ian & Lara, Lauren Layne takes you on another romantic & exciting ride into the Wall Street world as we now get to read Matt & Sabrina’s story.

The book starts with Matt landing himself into trouble & reaching out to Sabrina to be his pretend girlfriend to restore his image! I absolutely loved how smoothly & flawlessly Sabrina does that...in fact this is perhaps one of the few books where I have liked the heroine more than the hero. She is the epitome of a strong, independent, career woman of today...even how she stays strong when she realises that she has fallen in love with Matt is amazing & total ‘respect’.

Matt & Sabrina don’t romantically hook up till the very end but trust me the wait is super exciting & filled with pages of sexy banter, undercurrents and oozing chemistry between these two!! The slow burn that LL builds up will have you totally hooked & reading this book till the wee hours of the morning. The final chapters of the book are totally worth losing your sleep, missing your dinner & all the social commitments!

ONCE THE BOOK RELEASES, LOCK YOURSELF IN A ROOM, FIX LOTS OF CUPS OF COFFEE OR GRAB A BOTTLE OF WINE , GET THE BOOK ON YOUR KINDLE & FLOAT AWAY INTO THE LESSER KNOWN ROMANTIC SIDE OF WALL STREET!

Can't wait for Kennedy & Kate's book - hoping we get that soon...loving the chemistry between these two! We also meet another potential contender for becoming one of Lauren Layne's swoon worthy, dreamy, hot romance heroes in this book - read the book to find out who he is!!

Lauren Layne is one of my favorite modern day romance authors, and she hits it out of the park again with Hard Sell. Matt and Sabrina have grrrrrrrrrrrreat chemistry and "banter" that made me lol several times. It's great to "see" Ian and Lara from the previous book, and I can't wait for Kate and Kennedy's upcoming story.

I loved this book! Sabrina and Matt had great chemistry! They were two strong personalities, and when they fought it was good, and when they softened, it was good! Also, I really liked the character Sabrina. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to future 21 Wall Street books, especially for Kennedy and Kate!

I am loving this series! I can’t wait for Kennedy’s story, as well as the story of the new male character introduced in this book. I’m a big fan of this author and I’ve read almost all of her books. Unfortunately, I’ve lost interest in the Oxford series, and I was hoping this series would be as good as the earlier titles. Let me assure you, it is. This two main characters are sexy and snarky and also vulnerable. It was a lot of fun to read. As I said previously, I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

This book is why I always love myself a Lauren Layne book. The awesome friendships, the brilliant dialogue and two good characters.

Sabrina Cross (Ian's best friend) is heroine extraodinaire. Even though she comes from a poor and sad background, she doesn't let it poison her life. She is a good friend and accepts her feelings without a lot of drama. She's a fixer and a great one at that.

Matt is something else. He is apparently a boy wonder with a huge hangup about relationships. His parents' messy marriage made him averse to relationships of any kind. He finally gets his head out of his a** and realises Sabrina is the one.

I fell hard for Sabrina. Matt was okayish. I liked Jared the billionaire too. He was much more intriguing than Matt, to be honest.

The writing was smooth, the dialogue was amazing and secondary characters brilliant. This is what Lauren does best. The scenes with friends never took away from the story. As eager as I was to know about Sabrina and Matt's story, I actually looked forward to the few interactions with Kennedy, Ian, Kate and Lara too. And it's no surprise that I can't wait to get Kate and Kennedy's story.

Thoroughly enjoyable! I am not a big fan of the enemies to lovers trope because the constant battles give me anxiety. This is not that kind of book. It really is more FRIENIMIES to lovers. Matt and Sabrina were both stubborn and had a bit of a struggle showing vulnerability. But they were not unreasonable and fell into what was actually very natural for them both. Great addition to the 21 Wall Street series!

I might not have loved HARD SELL but this particular hate-to-love or, rather, enemies-to-more was closer to the kind of story I've loved from this author in the past.. and that's not just because we had a Georgie Watkins (WALK OF SHAME) cameo; though I'll admit I totally fangirled at seeing her in this one, haha.

<i>I've been thinking the hardest part of this whole thing will be faking being in love when I don't even believe in love. Now I know better. The hardest thing is going to be keeping my hands off the only woman I've ever wanted.</i>

The second in Layne's <i>21 Wall Street</i> series pairs up the wonder boy of Wall Street, Matt Cannon, with Ian (book one's)'s bestie, Sabrina Cross, who happens to be a very successful fixer.. and someone Matt can't stand. Luckily for him the feeling is mutual. They both loathe each other, bicker, and have routinely fallen into bed together over the course of their four year acquaintance. But this time when Matt comes calling at Sabrina's door, it isn't for a passionate but hate-fueled hook-up.. it's because he needs a girlfriend to help remake his image after a bachelor party gone wild in Vegas has Matt's picture splashed all over the Wall Street Journal, causing clients to wonder just who they are trusting with their money.

"<i>How's the Sabrina thing been going?</i>"
"<b>I'm exhausted.</b>"
"<i>It's only been two days.</i>"

Yes, it's another fake-relationship romance, but I am not complaining. Throw in the reluctant lover trope and it's catnip city.

"<i>You're late.</i>"
"<b>Does anybody like you?</b>"

While there were elements to this story that were different spins of traditional tropes (Matt's reluctant to be in a relationship because of his parents circumstances but it's not entirely predictable, and Sabrina's reason for holding onto a grudge or being sensitive to certain comments come from a very real place in her past), I didn't <b>love</b> this match-up. But I liked it. Infact, I really loved Sabrina. She was smart, successful, with a bit of a hard knock past but one that did not define her in the sense that she brooded constantly or bemoaned it. She rose above it, despite it, and while aspects had affected her life in ways that pertained to intimacy, she wasn't above evolving from it, either. Unlike Matt. I know we have to one reluctant schmuck in this kind of situation but ugh he was obtuse. And also, on occasion, really thoughtless with his words. He was better when it came to expressing himself with his actions but then he'd fuck it up later or backtrack, so, I mean.. only a little better.

"<i>You could use a challenge. Builds character.</i>"
"<b>Right. As though you haven't bee a challenge from the very beginning.</b>"

Where this book, outside of Sabrina as a lead, really worked for me was the friendships. Like her previous series, Layne rocks the female friendships <b>and</b> the male friendships. The coming together, the support, the bickering, it's all great.

<i>What I didn't see until recently was how the person with the power to destroy you can also be the one to lift you up.</i>

I'm glad I enjoyed this one more than book one because I'm eagerly anticipating the final (?) book in this series to match up Kennedy, the last man standing in this trio of reluctant romantics, and Kate, the super awesome assistant. I want it bad. I want so badly for it to be <b>good</b>. Here's hoping.
