ARC GENEROUSLY PROVIDED BY MONTLAKE ROMANCE VIA NET GALLEY IN EXCHANGE OF AN HONEST REVIEW

FIVE “SABRINA” STARS

After the super read on Ian & Lara, Lauren Layne takes you on another romantic & exciting ride into the Wall Street world as we now get to read Matt & Sabrina’s story.

The book starts with Matt landing himself into trouble & reaching out to Sabrina to be his pretend girlfriend to restore his image! I absolutely loved how smoothly & flawlessly Sabrina does that...in fact this is perhaps one of the few books where I have liked the heroine more than the hero. She is the epitome of a strong, independent, career woman of today...even how she stays strong when she realises that she has fallen in love with Matt is amazing & total ‘respect’.

Matt & Sabrina don’t romantically hook up till the very end but trust me the wait is super exciting & filled with pages of sexy banter, undercurrents and oozing chemistry between these two!! The slow burn that LL builds up will have you totally hooked & reading this book till the wee hours of the morning. The final chapters of the book are totally worth losing your sleep, missing your dinner & all the social commitments!

ONCE THE BOOK RELEASES, LOCK YOURSELF IN A ROOM, FIX LOTS OF CUPS OF COFFEE OR GRAB A BOTTLE OF WINE , GET THE BOOK ON YOUR KINDLE & FLOAT AWAY INTO THE LESSER KNOWN ROMANTIC SIDE OF WALL STREET!

Can't wait for Kennedy & Kate's book - hoping we get that soon...loving the chemistry between these two! We also meet another potential contender for becoming one of Lauren Layne's swoon worthy, dreamy, hot romance heroes in this book - read the book to find out who he is!!

Lauren Layne is one of my favorite modern day romance authors, and she hits it out of the park again with Hard Sell. Matt and Sabrina have grrrrrrrrrrrreat chemistry and "banter" that made me lol several times. It's great to "see" Ian and Lara from the previous book, and I can't wait for Kate and Kennedy's upcoming story.

I loved this book! Sabrina and Matt had great chemistry! They were two strong personalities, and when they fought it was good, and when they softened, it was good! Also, I really liked the character Sabrina. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to future 21 Wall Street books, especially for Kennedy and Kate!

I am loving this series! I can’t wait for Kennedy’s story, as well as the story of the new male character introduced in this book. I’m a big fan of this author and I’ve read almost all of her books. Unfortunately, I’ve lost interest in the Oxford series, and I was hoping this series would be as good as the earlier titles. Let me assure you, it is. This two main characters are sexy and snarky and also vulnerable. It was a lot of fun to read. As I said previously, I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

This book is why I always love myself a Lauren Layne book. The awesome friendships, the brilliant dialogue and two good characters.

Sabrina Cross (Ian's best friend) is heroine extraodinaire. Even though she comes from a poor and sad background, she doesn't let it poison her life. She is a good friend and accepts her feelings without a lot of drama. She's a fixer and a great one at that.

Matt is something else. He is apparently a boy wonder with a huge hangup about relationships. His parents' messy marriage made him averse to relationships of any kind. He finally gets his head out of his a** and realises Sabrina is the one.

I fell hard for Sabrina. Matt was okayish. I liked Jared the billionaire too. He was much more intriguing than Matt, to be honest.

The writing was smooth, the dialogue was amazing and secondary characters brilliant. This is what Lauren does best. The scenes with friends never took away from the story. As eager as I was to know about Sabrina and Matt's story, I actually looked forward to the few interactions with Kennedy, Ian, Kate and Lara too. And it's no surprise that I can't wait to get Kate and Kennedy's story.

Thoroughly enjoyable! I am not a big fan of the enemies to lovers trope because the constant battles give me anxiety. This is not that kind of book. It really is more FRIENIMIES to lovers. Matt and Sabrina were both stubborn and had a bit of a struggle showing vulnerability. But they were not unreasonable and fell into what was actually very natural for them both. Great addition to the 21 Wall Street series!

Hard Sell is the second book in the 21 Wall Street series by Lauren Layne and let me tell you...it's better than the first book. I thought I loved the first book but somehow this book just completely replaced Hot Asset.
Hard Sell follows Matt Cannon, a young hot shot broker that took a reputation hit and is need of the local Fixer, Sabrina. Matt and Sabrina know each other through a good mutual friend and have a heated history as hinted at in Hot Asset, book 1, and throughout this book. This book does not need to be read after Hot Asset, there is enough back story that you'll understand it without being bored with setting/history details.
Matt and Sabrina were amazing, the chemistry was obvious and delicious through the whole book, I loved it. Together and apart the characters showed growth and had interesting stories of their own that really contributed to the story line. We also get to see Ian and Lara from the first book along with other supporting characters. This series seems to be following the 3 amigos: Ian (Hot Asset), Matt (Hard Sell), and Kennedy (book 3?) I have to say that I don't know if I'd be that interested in Kennedy's story but Ms. Layne managed to produce an awesome sequel so I am eagerly awaited the next book in this series. I would definitely say this was a quick steamy read, perfect for summer.
I received Hard Sell as an ARC from NetGalley, however this review is 100% of my own opinion.

I might not have loved HARD SELL but this particular hate-to-love or, rather, enemies-to-more was closer to the kind of story I've loved from this author in the past.. and that's not just because we had a Georgie Watkins (WALK OF SHAME) cameo; though I'll admit I totally fangirled at seeing her in this one, haha.

<i>I've been thinking the hardest part of this whole thing will be faking being in love when I don't even believe in love. Now I know better. The hardest thing is going to be keeping my hands off the only woman I've ever wanted.</i>

The second in Layne's <i>21 Wall Street</i> series pairs up the wonder boy of Wall Street, Matt Cannon, with Ian (book one's)'s bestie, Sabrina Cross, who happens to be a very successful fixer.. and someone Matt can't stand. Luckily for him the feeling is mutual. They both loathe each other, bicker, and have routinely fallen into bed together over the course of their four year acquaintance. But this time when Matt comes calling at Sabrina's door, it isn't for a passionate but hate-fueled hook-up.. it's because he needs a girlfriend to help remake his image after a bachelor party gone wild in Vegas has Matt's picture splashed all over the Wall Street Journal, causing clients to wonder just who they are trusting with their money.

"<i>How's the Sabrina thing been going?</i>"
"<b>I'm exhausted.</b>"
"<i>It's only been two days.</i>"

Yes, it's another fake-relationship romance, but I am not complaining. Throw in the reluctant lover trope and it's catnip city.

"<i>You're late.</i>"
"<b>Does anybody like you?</b>"

While there were elements to this story that were different spins of traditional tropes (Matt's reluctant to be in a relationship because of his parents circumstances but it's not entirely predictable, and Sabrina's reason for holding onto a grudge or being sensitive to certain comments come from a very real place in her past), I didn't <b>love</b> this match-up. But I liked it. Infact, I really loved Sabrina. She was smart, successful, with a bit of a hard knock past but one that did not define her in the sense that she brooded constantly or bemoaned it. She rose above it, despite it, and while aspects had affected her life in ways that pertained to intimacy, she wasn't above evolving from it, either. Unlike Matt. I know we have to one reluctant schmuck in this kind of situation but ugh he was obtuse. And also, on occasion, really thoughtless with his words. He was better when it came to expressing himself with his actions but then he'd fuck it up later or backtrack, so, I mean.. only a little better.

"<i>You could use a challenge. Builds character.</i>"
"<b>Right. As though you haven't bee a challenge from the very beginning.</b>"

Where this book, outside of Sabrina as a lead, really worked for me was the friendships. Like her previous series, Layne rocks the female friendships <b>and</b> the male friendships. The coming together, the support, the bickering, it's all great.

<i>What I didn't see until recently was how the person with the power to destroy you can also be the one to lift you up.</i>

I'm glad I enjoyed this one more than book one because I'm eagerly anticipating the final (?) book in this series to match up Kennedy, the last man standing in this trio of reluctant romantics, and Kate, the super awesome assistant. I want it bad. I want so badly for it to be <b>good</b>. Here's hoping.

5 Stars!!

Lauren Layne has done it once again. She pulled me into this story from the very first page and I didn’t want to come out. I started reading this book yesterday afternoon and neglected all kinds of chores and sleep by finishing it in 1 day. But....it was worth it! Soooo worth it!!

Sabrina Cross is a fixer. She has connections and the ability to fix any problem, no matter the size. She’s that good at it. Matt Cannon is a Wall Street big shot. He handles big clients and even bigger money, but a bachelor party is Vegas has him spread all over the Wall Street Journal in a terrible light, and now his bosses and clients are second guessing him. He is in need of a fixer, and Sabrina’s is perfect for the job!

I absolutely loved these two! I’ve loved them from Hot Asset and couldn’t wait to dive into their story. You don’t have to read the first book in the Wall Street series, this can be read as a stand alone, but you should. These books are classic Lauren Layne awesomeness! Now, I’m waiting, not so patiently I might add, for Kennedy and Kate’s story. Their story just might be the best one yet!

Hard Sell was unputdownable! Lauren Layne writes the best characters and this book was no exception. The banter between Matt and Serena was hot and hilarious. I really, really loved this and can't wait for Kennedy's book!

After finishing Hot Asset, I wasn’t sure the story could get better than Ian and Lara, but I was so wrong. I loved the attraction and frenemy dynamic between Matt and Sabrina. This book had me going from laughs to cries and let me say, it’s hard to put down. I finished both Hot Asset and Hard Sell in one day.
This series is definitely not what I expected, but I absolutely loved the story lines and I’ve grown to love every character. I can’t wait to eventually hear Kennedy’s story. If you’re a sucker for a good happily ever after, you need this series.

Love Lauren Layne and love that she didn't complicated this pool of characters much more than necessary, unlike the Stilettos & Oxford series which I thought expanded waaaaay too much. When I read the 1st in this 21 Wall Street series, we all completely knew where this small group of incestuous friends was going to go. She doesn't hied who's going to hook up with who.

The story line and characters were easy enough to track and there were some interesting bits thrown in (Matt Cannon's family situation, etc.) to make it not quite cookie cutter frenemies to lovers. However, what I really respected was Layne's end note that she wasn't sure she'd get around to Kennedy and Kate's story. Which is fine. I think we know they're each other's end game. I'm ok not having their story until it's done right.

This is the second book in the 21 Wall Street series and I was so excited to dive in. I loved the first book, Hot Asset, and couldn't wait to read Matt and Kennedy's stories. Matt was a fun hero and I loved Sabrina's character. We had briefly met her in the first book but we finally get the backstory between why she and Matt are constantly bickering despite them both being good friends with Ian.

The chemistry between Sabrina and Matt was HOT! I felt bad for Matt because when we finally find out why she's been so angry and mean towards him it felt a bit blown out of proportion. So once she finally let's go and their relationship starts to transition from enemies to more lovers I was so happy for Matt. You could tell he's a great guy and he truly felt bad for his past comments to Sabrina.

All in all this was a solid romance but I have to admit it's Kennedy's story that I'm really on pins and needles waiting for.

I love this new series. Matt and Sabrina have the perfect enemies to lovers story. I’ve read all of this author’s books and I’ve yet to read one I haven’t throughly enjoyed.

I have been eagerly awaiting Matt and Sabrina's book since I first "met" them. They did not disappoint. A great couple, great story, and perfect continuation of the series!

Ms. Layne once again pulled me right into the story with her captivating writing style. I then devoured every single word and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. This frenemies-to-lovers story is the second book in the Wolves of Wall Street series, and it focuses on Matt and Sabrina, whom we met in Hot Asset. I loved Sabrina--like Ms. Layne's typical heroine, she is strong, independent, and takes no crap from hotshot Matt. And Matt goes down kicking and screaming, as expected, but the way it happens is delightful. Lauren Layne has become what I consider one of the most trustworthy authors in terms of providing a well-written, enjoyable read with likeable characters, great dialogue, and an interesting plot every single time.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for providing an ARC for review.

Matt and Sabrina have unbelievable chemistry. They are either fighting or fooling around but when Matt needs help redeeming his reputation Sabrina comes through for him. This is a true wonderful Lauren Layne book with all of the secondary characters being just as important to the story as the main characters. I can’t wait for Kennedy and Kate’s story and I hope there’s one for Jarod! Don’t forget to read Hot Asset but not necessary before reading Hard Sell.

Hard Sell, the second in the 21 Wall Street series, is fantastic. It's Matt Cannon's turn to realize he is not invincible to love. He just thinks he is. Sabrina Cross is the amazing friend of Ian, to whom we were introduced in the first book. Sabrina is the woman Matt trusts to help him out of his PR mess. She is, also, Ian's best friend. Sabrina and Ian grew up together in a difficult place and time.

Matt and Sabrina fight against their combustible relationship as they work on cleaning up Matt's image. One of their difficulties is the 'enemies with benefits' relationship of falling into bed together. Part of the problem is the way in which their relationship began four years earlier. Their conversation and relationship is strong and witty. They are a perfect fit. Matt is jealous when another man shows interest in Sabrina, but still refuses to believe he might be in love.

Ms. Layne has written another super enjoyable book. Read and enjoy how she takes these two through their strong attraction to each other toward an amazing HEA.

"I've been thinking the hardest part of this whole thing will be faking being in love when I don't even believe in love. Now I know better. The hardest thing is going to be keeping my hands off the only woman I've ever wanted."

Hard Sell is the second book in the 21 Wall Street Series and it follows the story of Matt and Sabrina. Matt is young and amazing at what he does. He's on top of the world or so he thinks. When his wild night in Vegas makes headlines, he's forced to do the one thing he's never wanted to do. He needs a girlfriend and fast. If he can prove to his bosses that he's changed and put the wild man to rest, his job will be saved...if not, it's the ax for him....Sabrina is known as the fixer. There isn't any situation that she can't find a way out of. She is the very best. So, when Matt comes to her with his problem, she knows it will be a challenge, but she can't possibly say no. With rules in place and their game faces on, will these two stick to the rules or will they cross the uncrossable line??? There's only one way to find out....

I loved the idea of Hard Sell. I'm a sucker for fake relationships and an even bigger sucker for those enemies to lovers story-lines. And I thought Lauren Layne's take on it was really interesting. I mean Matt and Sabrina couldn't stand one another, yet at the same time, they were kinda sorta maybe friends??? Overall, I thought that Matt and Sabrina had some good chemistry. I loved seeing the two of them go off on each other and couldn't wait to see the tension between the two of them explode. That being said, I would have loved to have seen some flashbacks of Matt and Sabrina. It's clear to the reader that two of them have a past and I feel as though I would have understood these characters more if we had gotten to see some of that past. What happened to them? What led them to hooking up? When did the deep hate grow between them? I feel those issues were vital to the story and by not seeing the whole picture clearly, it left me feeling like something was missing.

Overall, I thought Hard Sell was an ok read. It's not my favorite from this author, but I still found it to be an enjoyable and engaging read. I loved the friendships between Matt and his buddies. I loved the banter between Matt and Sabrina and loved the steamy moments between the two of them. The story-line itself was a fresh and fun take on the whole enemies to lovers/fake relationship troupe. I just felt like something was missing. Maybe I needed some more angst; some more drama. I'm not really sure. I think Hard Sell will be one of those books you either love or you hate. For me, I didn't love it, but still had a good time reading it.
