I didn't have time to read this book before release so I will not be leaving a review. If I choose to read this book at some point I will grab a finished copy from my public library and post a review to my Goodreads account.

The Ash brothers—they know how to handle their wood.

A new smoking-hot Ash Brothers novella from USA TODAY bestselling author Jenika Snow

I’ve been celibate for years, by choice. No woman has held my interest long enough to be worth sacrificing time spent at Ash Lumber, energy spent building the family business.

All that changed when a feisty redhead walked into our job-site trailer.

Andra.

Her skirts drive me crazy and her trying so hard to flat-out ignore me does the rest. Her flushed cheeks when we flirt are enough to send me to bed for a week.

Andra might be supervising this development deal, but there’s no way we’re going to be able to keep things professional around here. My celibate streak is over, and I owe it all to her.

This book is approximately 13,000 words
Review
Touch Wood by Jenika Snow is the first time I have read her Ash Brothers Series. This is the third book in that series and I was not lost at all reading it first.
I am a huge Jenika Snow fangirl I was really looking forward to this book and it sure did not disappoint at all. I loved the flow of this book. The characters were well done a little on the predictable side, but sometimes that happens in romances. I did not take away from my experience at all.
I did feel like to truly not feel rushed this story needed some finessing. Just needed to slow down a little. But this is a fast paced short so again those things happen in this type of romance story.
Liam and his woman Andra they have great chemistry. They are super likeable. Over all this story is a steady ride type of story. Very sweet ending to it. And a wonderful one time read. This is the final book in the Ash Brothers series but I was not lost starting here. I would go back and see what I missed. I really loved this one and cannot wait to read what Ms Snow writes next.

I read this a long time ago, and I let it sit before doing a review. I don't know, something about this just bothered me. Usually I have a grin on mmy face, but this one just rubbed me the wrong way. Sorry.

An okay story for the series, not my favorite though. It's a short read, has a few sexy times scenes, but I didn't really connect with either main character.

Touch Wood is the third, and blessedly short, novel in The Ash Brothers series by Jenika Snow. I wasn't particular happy with the first two Ash brothers stories, but of the three novels in the series, this one was, by far, the weakest attempt and the worst read of the three, and if I could give it less than the 1 star required in order to post this review, I would.

This short novel made insta-lust look slow and ponderous, so I'll refer to it as nanosecond-lust. No sooner does the hero, Liam, (if you can call him that) see the heroine, Andra, when he decides that she's the one for him, and we get reference after reference to his blue balls, the hardness of his erections, his long and his voluntary period of celibacy, and page after page of how horny he his, how badly he wants to have sex with this woman, and his decision, after barely speaking to her, that she's his forever woman. Immature much? Liam is described as being 30-something but seems to have the emotional maturity of a grade school boy.

Andra isn't a much better designed or described female lead. She works for a NYC based architecture and engineering firm, loves everything about the hustle and bustle of city life, but she's been sent on-site to this small logging town to oversee the construction of a major office complex that the Ash brothers have been hired to build. She and Liam have been ignoring each other from the start, and Liam is turned on by that face, and her indifference doesn't faze him at all and for any reason. Isn't playing hard to get a tad ridiculous at their age? But their desire for one another has been mutual since she arrived on the scene, and she's as hot for him as he is for her, more nanosecond-lust, so bring on the wet undies references, again, and again, and again. Hot on the heels of that mutual lust-fest, comes insta-love. Are you kidding me? They've barely even had a conversation.

Among my other issues with this novella are the lack of any character development whatsoever, we know as little about these characters by the end of this book as we knew as soon as they were first introduced. There's also practically no meaningful or other dialogue between the two leads, nor is there any story or semblance of a plot or conflict here either. While Andra is a city-gal, and she's far from the city on-site, once she and Liam consummate their mutual lust, there isn't even any mention of the problem posed by the fact that's she's city and he's country. Another missed opportunity to add something like conflict to this otherwise lackluster story.

While I know that the Dirty Bits imprint is supposed to be comprised of short, sexy, erotic novels, I found absolutely nothing the least bit erotic about the many, many sex scenes in this novel--they were merely explicit sex scenes between two main characters who we're given no reason to either identify with or actually care about. My suggestion is to read the first two books in this series, as they were marginally better reads than this one, and skip this one entirely.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

Touch Wood is the final book in the trilogy featuring the Ash Brothers. Out of the three, I liked this one the least. There had been hints of the tension between Andra and Liam in the other novellas. While their chemistry was good, there was too much time spent in the short story telling the reader they want each other. I never thought I would say this about a novella, but it actually dragged a bit. I also thought the I love yous came too fast.

This was an ok short sexy read, the ending was better than the beginning, I found I had a few issues with the lead characters internal dialogue about each other. But you get the build-up of the characters getting together and giving in to their urges which I did enjoy.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin - Carina Press for a copy in return for an honest review.

I love Jenika Snow! This book was another great read. I wasn't let down at all. Sometimes you read a book from an author who has quite a few published books and it seems like they are phoning it in. That was not the case with Touch Wood. Well written story with great characters!

This is the ultimate queen right here of quick and sweet romances. And they are insta.
Nobody does it better than Jenika. Love her and her writing and this sweet little story was no exception.

Touch Wood - Jenika Snow

A sexy little short read by Jenika Snow, part of the Ash Brothers Series.

Liam Ash is one of The Ash Brothers who run Ash Lumber abs when a new development they’re building is being overseen by the red haired spitfire, Andra, his mind can’t help but wander to all things carnal with her.

Their frenemies relationship, with its intense sexual chemistry, is intense and justifiable.

The Ash brothers have become firm favourite alphas for me and these speedy short reads are great for a quick afternoon read.

Thank you to Carina Press for the opportunity to review through Netgalley.

I’d definitely recommend this book as I would the others in the series.

Stuck in a romantic rut Liam decides to focus less on women and focus more on building the Ash empire.

Andra is supervising the Ash brothers new development. The last thing she wants is to be known as is the woman sleeping around to get or keep her job...So while Liam is everything she could ever want she knows she should stay far away.

Can Liam convince Andra to throw her worries aside and give them a try? Read and find out!

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

Liam and Andra were an interesting couple. She was all business and he was all temptation. Overall this was a good book selling for a great price.

Touch Wood is the third book in the Ash Brothers series by Jenika Snow, and I was disappointed to realise I somehow missed book two! I’ve learnt with these quick, short reads that you must be OK with insta- love and seriously HOT sex, as that is what Ms Snow excels in. So basically, this is a sexy, fast read that will definitely require a fan and a cool drink.

Oh poor boy didn’t expect to fall in love with a wonderful girl how surprising!. Jenika has done it again with this book and thought this Ash brother a lesson he needed to learn.

Holy shit! I knew Touch Wood was going to be sexified. I didn't know it was going to get that hot. After finishing a clean, behind-closed-doors romance I was in the mood for something with a little sex. Who am I kidding? I wanted non-stop sexiness. So I picked up Touch Wood and devoured it in less than 30 minutes. I friggin' loved it and now I want more. Now that I know it's the 3rd book in the Ash Brothers series, I will be picking those up shortly. That's the best thing about Carina's new Dirty Bits line. They're short and sexy AF.

I usually love Jenika Snow books. They're short, sexy and tend to have an alpha male and an innocent young girl or a strong woman. This book was of the same formula that I love, but something was lacking in this particular story. The good thing is that you don't need to read the previous two books of the series to read this one. It could be read as a standalone and doesn't detract at all from following this story.

Liam Ash is the final brother of the series to find his mate. He's a lumberjack who owns a construction business with his two brothers. He's been celibate for years because he hasn't been interested any woman or having a relationship.

Andra is a strong business woman who has come to oversee the construction of her company's development deal. She's a strong, independent woman who thrived living in the city of Denver but moved to this rural area for this project.

I think the parts that I have issues with is that there was a lot of repetition in this story. Particularly how Andra is such a strong woman and doesn't bend to men and refuses to submit. Also, how both of them kept dancing around each other and didn't want to be the first one to give in. It kept going on and on along these same lines and I kept thinking that I just wanted the story to move forward. Unfortunately, there was basically no story and I think so much could've been done with this.

I do love Jenika Snow's books and am hoping that this particular book is just a fluke and she had an off day writing it because usually her books are well written. I'm hoping to get to read about the two previous books about Liam's brothers.

2.5

Short, improbably fast and gloriously smutty, this sadly missed the mark for me.

The third in the series, it tells the story of the remaining Ash brother. Good with his hands and a marvel with wood, he's been celibate for years.

He's got lots of pent up lust to unleash.

Anyway, instalust follows at first sight and both H and h are a slave to their pulsating nethers whenever they're close to the other.

For some reason though, I wasn't feeling it. The smut was as hot as this author delivers but without the feels it was missing something I'm afraid. He was supposedly attracted to her feistiness but I didn't see much evidence of that. Idk, perhaps it followed on from the earlier books in this series and I missed it.

An ok way to while away an hour but not my favourite from this author.

Part of a series, although their story's complete I think it would be a better experience if you read the brothers' stories first

Thanks to the publisher via netgalley for the arc.

love grabbing quick little Novellas once in a while. They’re perfect to break the monotony and to indulge in a really hot read.

The one thing you have to realize and accept when you read hot little numbers like this is that there will be insta-lust and insta-love. This book definitely includes both of those.

For some reason I had issues with this story. I liked the plot and definitely the delicious lumberjack. But one thing I did not care for was the repetitiveness in some of his conversation. A lot of it came off kind of cheesy and unbelievable.

But understand that is book gives exactly what you what you want...The connection and the sexy scenes that are smoking. No big build up to the grand affair.. Just down and dirty, like we want!

Avid Reader – ☆☆☆
M/F Novella

This is a quick read that is very true to the blurb.

Liam is part of a trio of brothers who own and do their own construction. When he sets his sight on the pretty Andra, all bets are off. Despite their tension, Liam isn't great with his words – it's quite repetitive in this story. But he knows what he wants and goes after it.

Andra is a city girl through and through. However, when her office location moves, she jumps in with both feet – even though she's incredibly attracted to Liam. She dances around her attraction for a while before Liam makes her confront their attraction.

Steamy scenes and a lot of tension lace this story. Despite the lack of witty dialogue, this is a nice, short novella.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆
This is the third in the series, and feels like we had plenty of foreshadowing of the inevitable romance that is written here. These short stories are all about insta-attraction, complete honesty about the depth and breadth of their feelings, and hotness from the get go. Sometimes that is exactly what you need!

Here we finally get longtime celibate brother, Liam making a move on recently arrived resident, Andra. They have been striking sparks off each other for a while, but once they get together, it’s a whirlwind romance and off-the-scales hotness.

Written in a very relaxed and chatty style, these stories have all been a lot of fun with streams of consciousness – often said out loud, when probably better kept as inner voice! I’ve enjoyed them all.
