I have read a fair few of Rosie’s books now and I can honestly say that I have loved them each and every one of them. When I heard that she had a new book due for release, I just knew that I had to read ‘Babies Of Mulberry Lane’ as soon as I could. I am so glad that I did too because I absolutely loved it but more about that in a bit.
I have to say that I found all of the characters very interesting. The author clearly cares about her characters and this shines through in her writing. She makes the characters seem realistic and well rounded to the point where you can imagine that they are literally stood beside you. There are characters you feel a bond with, characters that you warm to, characters that you don’t warm to and characters who take a little longer to figure out. I can honestly say that there wasn’t one character that I absolutely detested. The range of characters in this book is similar to the range of different characters that you would find in any street or area up and down the country.
I was hooked on this book from the moment I read the synopsis. It is billed as being perfect for those fans of Katie Flynn and Cathy Sharp. I absolutely adore Cathy’s books and so I knew I was in for one heck of a read with ‘Mulberry Lane Babies’. So it proved. The author’s writing style is such that you are drawn into the story from the first word on the first page and before you know it you become addicted. This book came at an ideal time for me because I was in agony with my back and I needed a distraction. Well this book ticked both boxes and then some. I picked up my Kindle only intending to read a couple of chapters but that idea soon went out of the window because when I looked up I realised that I had read 6 chapters. I was so ‘into’ the story that I genuinely hadn’t realised how quickly the pages were turning. The pages flew past in a blur and it was almost as if they were turning themselves. I was so disappointed when I finished this book because I was enjoying the writing style, the story, the time era that the book is set in and the characters so much that I just wanted the book to continue. I am a history nerd and absolutely love anything to do with or that is set during the First World War or the Second World War and which shows communities pulling together in times of need. By the time I had finished reading this book, I did feel like I had been through a bit of an emotional wringer with all the contrasting feelings this book made me feel. At times I felt angry, sad, happy, excited, worried, disgusted, hope, despair and well you get the picture.
In conclusion, I have to say that I absolutely ADORED this book and I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. I can’t wait to read the next instalment of the Mulberry Lane series and here’s hoping that the series continues for a long time to come. The Mulberry Lane series would be ideal for television adaptation. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a well deserved 5* out of 5*.

Quite enjoyed this book plenty of good East end characters and a community spirit but thought it ended too soon so didn't find out the outcome of some people in the story possibly a follow up novel coming up?

This book is the third book in a series that focuses on the people who live on Mulberry Lane. I have not read any of the other books but it didn't really matter as I quickly figured out who was who and got into the meat of the story. I was drawn to read the book initially because of the setting in the time of World War 2. The characters come from the working class and have certainly not had easy lives. In a way the book reminded me a little of a good soap opera. The more I read the more I wanted to know what was going to happen next with each of the characters.. The women of Mulberry Lane are the prominent characters in this volume f the series. Several are either expecting babies or wishing that they were expecting babies. Some pregnancies are highly anticipated but at least one is unplanned and the result of violence.. As violence builds in the neighbourhood, people pull together as a community to move on. Some deal with the crises better than others and so life goes. The ending of the book definitely lets one know that the story has not yet been fully told and another volume will eventually follow. I would certainly love to know what happens next with these neighbours.

This story in the Mulberry Lane series continues with a group of women in war-torn times in England. Despite such a ravaged time in history, new life is on the horizon as some of the women are now pregnant. This is a touching read, one that handles sensitive issues such as the aftermath of rape and domestic violence well. I look forward to reading the next in this series.

In this book we are back with the residents of Mulberry Lane and finding out where they are in there lives now. The war leads the girls into some dangerous situations but new life brings hope despite the conditions. I really enjoy Rosie Clarke's story telling of times gone by during the war. She touches on some really hard-hitting topics but in a touching way that engages the reader. 

Such an enjoyable read I am looking forward to returning to Mulberry Lane.

Enjoyed reading this book because it was fast paced and interesting. I did think though that the set up of the characters could have been a bit shorter. I liked the way the women on Mulberry Lane bonded together and took care of everything that needed to be done during the war when their husbands were away. I think the book was a lot like real life was doing WWII - women bonded, helped each other and got the jobs done while the men were away. I think often times we forget that part. I would definitely read another book by this author! Great read.

I have read all of the books in the Mulberry Lane series and this was great story. I enjoy the characters so much, I feel as though I am on this journey with them.
I will definitely be looking out for the next Mulberry Lane book!!!

I was so happy to get a chance to read and review this the third book in the Mulberry Lane series.Peggy,Maureen,Janet and Ann have been close friends for so long and are always on hand if needed. Tom is still a hard working young man and is willing to work hard he suffered when lost his brother sam on the bomb site but with the love of his father he remains strong.There is evil among the lanes and people are getting hurt and being burgled.There are forces around to look after all the good people of Mulberry Lane and although some face tragedy some face joy.This book has a lovely strong story and charactors and i feel is worth 5*

This is number 3 in the Mulberry Lane series. This book shows the shades of gray in human behavior. You don't always agree with what the main characters do, and that is what makes this series so interesting. This book touches on some dark themes such as rape and domestic violence. I would recommend anyone read this series.

Absolutely loved this latest installment and revisiting the Ladies of the Lane. Another great story of love and heartache. Look forward to seeing what happens next.
