Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type series and definitely CANNOT be read as a standalone. In fact, the way the book starts confused me a bit and because it had been a several months since I read the first book, I had to go back and check how it ended to make sure I wasn't forgetting something important.

Similar to the first book, I'll describe this as "vampire lite" and if you're not into PNR, I wouldn't let that deter you from giving this series a shot. There's some intriguing world-building done, but nothing too out-there or unfamiliar.

Reyna was certainly less wishy-washy in this installment and I felt like she evolved through the course of the story much more so than she did in the first book. I also felt like I got a slightly better read on Beckham, although I still found it hard to connect to him. During the first book and much of this one, I couldn't shake the feeling that I didn't quite "get" the connection that Reyna and Beckham had, but that was addressed at the end.

Again, as this is a true trilogy, this ends on a hell of a cliffy, so if you're not willing to wait for the next book, wait until it's out.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*

I am really, really enjoying this series although overall I feel like I enjoyed book one more. I did find Blood Match to be very engaging and full of lots of drama and some mystery and I am dying to know how the series is going to end. I found the book to be well written and I could not put it down.

Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type Series. You HAVE to read the first book!

In Blood Match we began to see Reyna’s true self come out. She is no longer going to be the naïve young girl just trying to get by. She really grows during this book. Her strength is tested in many ways but those tests only make her stronger. I absolutely loved watching this transformation happen.

You get to see many sides to Beckham in this book. I loved seeing his sweet side come out a little more and his protectiveness of Reyna was hot!

I really don’t want to give any spoilers away because this book is just packed full of excitement. I will tell you that I really need Blood Cure NOW!!! This series is a must read. Even if you aren’t a big PNR fan, the world and characters the author has created is one that will suck you in and keep you wanting more.

Well hell....
What am I supposed to do with my life now? 😂😂

The drama and excitement are certainly amped up in this installment of this captivating series.
Reyna finds herself in a most difficult situation, but fights her way through.

Here’s what I loved:
The introduction of new characters. Seeing more of the resistance and how they’re working to right the wrongs was fantastic. This book has a lot more social commentary than expected. The romance actually feels like a secondary character. It’s an engaging read.
Obvi, I love Beckham. The progression of his character and relationship with Reyna were exactly what I wanted. I needed to see his conviction.
Same with Reyna! I needed to see her dedication to her man and the cause. I loved her in this one.

The ending left me sobbing in my Cheerios, but I trust this author to put me back together again.

If paranormal reads are your jam, you have to read this series!

I wonder if K.A. Linde intended to get her readers and fans addicted to this paranormal romance series of hers. Either way, it's looking like I'm not the only one who's totally hooked on all things Reyna and Becks. I love the air of suspense and mystery wrapped around all the romance. With Reyna being at the very center of this series, I seriously liked how much she's evolved from the naive and innocent girl who was only looking for a way to financially support her brothers to a woman who was coming into her own--someone who was far more independent and resilient, allowing her confidence and courage to strengthen her backbone and try to figure out a way to make her way back to the vampire she had fallen for. And then there was that evil cliffhanger...ugh! I know, I know. It was a necessary, well, evil; I'm already counting the weeks before book three. Five stars for Blood Match. ♥

WHAT THE F#@$ JUST HAPPENED!!??!! Oops.... Pardon my language. But, seriously, just like the first book in this series, I was completely blown away at what happened. Then there's that freakin' cliffhanger. Wow... Really!!??!! This was a heart-pounding and intense read all the way to the end. Moreover, one MUST read book 1, Blood Type, first before reading this. Yeah, this is one series that you will need to read in order to get the full story.

Where to begin... Hmmm. The story itself follow after the cliffhanger in Blood Type. I would have to say that Blood Match is like a slow burn that hits it's maximum heat where it counts. Reyna and Beckham's story continues to unravel and evolve further into this second book of the series. The character development is consistent and progressive with each book. It is obvious that Reyna has come a long way since the first book. We are also introduced to more characters that are closely intertwined with Reyna and Beckham's story.

As for the world building, it remains consistent and it progresses. More players are involved and so are locations. Yup! Setting is important in creating the dark and gripping atmosphere and environment that helps the story and characters come together. And, this second installment nailed it in creating this dark world of vampires and humans.

This series has an interesting and unique spin on vampire/human romances. Blood Match took this crazy and addicting romance to another level. In this second installment of the Blood Type series, Blood Match is an emotionally charged romance that is laced with action, suspense, mystery, and even espionage. These elements made for an intriguing and heart-pounding adventure.

I am so looking forward to the third book in this series.

5+ MY HEART CANT TAKE IT CROWNS

K.A. Linde is holding my heart in her hands at the end of Blood Match. Her grip is like a vice fracturing it. My only hope is that with book 3, she heals it instead of delivering that final squeeze that would crush it. I have faith, though, that it will all work out for our hero and heroine.

If it is at all possible, this story just got better. Beckham owns my soul with his broody anti-hero self. More than that, though, is my love for what Linde is doing with his character. She is showing that people can change, can become good, and that true evolution of a person can happen.

Reyna has become so strong during this book, and I love every single thing about it. What I love most is her ability to continue to fight. She never loses hope for the world to get better, for their cause to win, and for their future to be brighter. She is strength and a beacon of hope in this dark world that has been created.

This plot is enthralling. The suspense, the uncertainty of what will happen, and the romance between the characters makes Blood Match so fantastic that I never want to walk away. The ending will floor you, and only make you die for the conclusion of this epic series.

PNR is not my genre, but K.A. Linde might be making me a covert. I’m completely enraptured with this world and her characters, and I’m not sure I’ll be ready to leave it when it is all over. Plus we get the added addition of social commentary, making this not just a phenomenal romance but an applicable look at the world we have found ourselves in today. This series is truly something special.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

This book had me all over the place! I was so anxious reading some of the parts in this book! It’s like when you watch a scary movie! And you know something is going to happen and you want to scream hurry up! What were you thinking! Don’t do that! That’s what it felt like reading this book!

This book picks right back up where it was left off in Blood Type. We find out in this book how it came about with Reyna and Beckham coming together. How Beckham was chosen to be with Reyna.

I was starting to wonder when Beckham was going to make an appearance. I was kinda on the fence with him in Blood Type. He was always so hot and cold with Reyna. Not much had changed with him in the beginning of the book. But as you read on... you see the change in him with Reyna. He opens up a lot to her. He lets her in! I loved that!!!
But, Reyna..... huh to be honest here. Reyna kind of got to me in this book. Her constant need to put herself and other in danger was aggravating. All because she was bored and felt cooped up. It was hard to read. She acted like a child sometimes. I felt like she need to look at the bigger picture. We’ll see how she handles herself in thisnext book!

There was a lot revealed and we get a lot of bombs dropped in this book. The ending leaves off in a major cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read this last book to see how it all turns out!!

I knew it was going to come to an end andI was going to be left wanting book three but IT ENDED AND I WANT BOOK THREE!

I'm really shouty over this, to hang with me for a second.

This novel jumps right in after book one and we get some of the answers that we were left grasping for. Then as things progress we get even more questions and THE END I CAN'T EVEN TALK ABOUT.

Like I have said before, if you like Linde's CR, you need to dive into her Fantasy and PNR because she SHINES. These novels are  engulfing and addictive. I swear I start them and as soon as I blink I am at the and and wanting more. The stories are unique and interesting in a way that you won't be comparing it to anything else as you read.

This one. Dive in. twice as good as the first and ONLY THE BEGINNING.

*Rocks in corner waiting for book 3*

Blood Match started a little bit slow but this shouldn't worry you because once things pick up you'll not want to finish this book!!It was a fantastic read, like the first book and I'm aching to see what will happen in the next book!

If you like paranormal romances, this is a must read!K.A. Linde did an amazing job and I wish that we will have more books like this from her!!

4 stars for - Blood Match - book two in the Blood Type series by K.A. Linde. You have to read book one - Blood Type - prior to reading this book in order to have a better understanding into this crazy intense PNR world of vampires and humans that Ms. Linde weaved for us. After the way book one ended I thought for sure there wouldn't be too much of a cliffhanger in this one but I could not have been more wrong with my thought process! Hang on to your seats since the road does get a bit bumpy along the way.
The last time we saw Reyna she was in a bit of a predicament running away from the man she loves and into the trap she never saw coming. Being held by Harrington and used against her will has turned her into a very bitter person. Weeks later an opportunity arises and she takes her chances on escape but running from one prison and finding herself in another wasn't part of the plan.
The many people of Elle aided Reyna in her escape but they are the same ones who refuse to allow her to do as she wishes. While she understands to a point the headstrong Reyna doesn't take too kindly to being told to sit on the sidelines either. Meanwhile the man she loves is more distant than ever choosing to barely even acknowledging her existence let alone the closeness they once shared.
Reyna is desperate to bring Visage down now more than ever for everything they've done to her and those she loves. In rather dramatic fashion a masquerade ball on New Year's Eve is where everything will be revealed and it is nothing short of spectacular. In true Linde style you won't see a few of the shockers that are revealed coming!!! I can't wait for book three - Blood Cure - next!

Holy Hell!! Kyla - you have definitely outdone yourself with this series!! WOW I am loving that this series is very unique in it's tale and the spin that Kyla is taking on with vampires. It just makes this series so much enjoyable.

Blood Match starts out with a bang (or fang lol) and not once does this story line ease up at all. WOW! I love the pace of this story so much - pulse pumping and so intriguing. I felt my heart racing the entire time I read this book - so engaging and enticing.

Blood Match starts off where Blood Type ends. Reyna finds her in the prison of Visage - she is truly what she signed up for - a blood donor. However, it's not the in way she anticipated, not that she minds in anyway. However, Reyna feels that he life is nothing since she does the same thing day in and day out with no escaping it. Until she is given the chance to see another side of Visage.

Reyna thinks things couldn't be worse than they already are for her but has no idea how truly depraved and conniving Harrington really is. Beckham is trying to keep up pretenses with everything while also trying to win Reyna back into his good graces.

Kyla does not let us down at all with the second book in this series. There is so much still going on within this world and so many questions about things. I love all the new twist and turns she gives us. Kyla leaves us hanging on to each page as we read, desperate to know where things go from here. And that ending - OMG!!! I need book three NOW!!!

5 blush Review. Who am I? Reading PNR and books with vampires? I don’t know who I am but this book was everything I hoped and wished it would be!
Who am I? Reading PNR and books with vampires? I don’t know who I am but this book was everything I hoped and wished it would be!

KA Linde has changed me forever, I am a reader of vampires and paranormal romance. I didn't know what KA Linde would bring with this book and she has woven a story that I could have never imagined. Beckham continues to be a vampire that I would love to be a blood match with, I now understand were Reyna is coming from.

Blood Match picks up exactly where Blood Type left us..you MUST read Blood Type first! With each word written my blood was pumping harder and harder!

The twists, turns and beautifully written words were perfection and damn you, KA Linde, I am hooked to this series like I haven't been in a while! The passion, lust, and love between Reyna and Beckham were tangible and once again, KA Linde has left me hanging, needing and wanting MORE!

This one starts out pretty much where the previous one ends. Which is good, as you really want to know what the heck is going to happen...and also bad, as GAH that is a mess they are going to have to figure out how to get themselves out of. And, this is a heck of a ride for the reader.

As always, Kyla Linde writes characters you care about, and because you care about them, you care that the author is torturing them. And, she tortures them...a LOT.

Reyna and Beckham...what in the world can I say without spoiling it? Really, the middle book in a trilogy is the hardest review to write. There are spoilers for the first one, and then spoilers about how the second one ends...so, I am going to leave this with how much I loved this one, how much I am looking forward to the next one, and how mad I am at the author for the ending of this book.

Is the next one available yet?

I recommend this title.

Satisfyingly Swoony, Dangerously Enthralling, and Undeniably Seductive

This addictive series is seriously going to be the death of me! Blood Match was an absolutely delicious torture. I’m honestly surprised that my heart is still beating cause I’m in complete and utter shock after that ending and died about a thousand times. If the insanely wicked cliffhanger in the previous book had me thirsting for more, the one in this is making me have the worst withdrawals and I am TOTALLY DYING. Dying for more Beckham and Reyna, for more blood, more steam, more swoons, more revenge, more suspense, more laughs, and just more of EVERYTHING!

Blood Match was a satisfyingly swoony, dangerously enthralling, and undeniably seductive read from beginning till the end. Even though it started a little slow, I loved every single moment of this book. The writing was engaging and incredibly captivating. With pulse-pounding action, thrilling suspense, juicy secrets, heartbreaking betrayals, steamy romance, and shocking twist and turns, I was on edge and completely hooked the entire time. The storyline definitely had me guessing, but I did have this really bad feeling about a certain character. I knew blood would be spilled and something really horrific would happen, but damn… I never expected that ending at all. It was cruel and sinful, but oh so good at the same time. K.A. Linde is a ridiculously brilliant writer who knows just how to torture me in the sweetest ways. Those last few moments crushed my heart, shattered my soul, sucked the life out of me and left me bleeding dry. I really hope I can survive the wait cause I want… no I NEED to know what happens next.

The romance was without a doubt one of the best part of this series. It had me feeling all kinds of swoons and there’s really no other way to say this, but I’m obsessed. I just love Reyna and Beckham together. Their chemistry and attraction go beyond lust and sexual tension. It’s more than just an addictive and all-consuming relationship. They care deeply, love passionately and would do anything to protect each other. They’re emotionally connected and so perfectly imperfect together. I adore them both as a couple and as they are and rooted for them with all my heart. I’m seriously hoping K.A. Linde gives Reyna and Becks the most epic and happiest happy ending… these two deserve nothing less.

The “Blood Type” series is my newest obsession and my absolute favorite paranormal vampire romance story. It’s riveting, suspenseful, angsty, and irresistibly enticing. Blood Match left me emotionally battered and broken and anxiously craving for Blood Cure. With so many answered questions and that excruciating ending, I’m definitely looking forward to another bloody fangtastic ride!

If you’re hungry for a sexy, dark, addictive, and thrilling adventure that will have your heart racing, then sink your teeth into this amazing series..

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher and Inkslinger via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type series. This series has made me love vampires. I’ve never been drawn to them but Beckham is so swoon-worthy I just can’t help myself. This book picks up where Blood Type left off but be forewarned this one left me with a major Book hangover.

This book has all the feels, angst, drama, and suspense to keep it moving along. I have grown to love Reyna and Becks. Reyna is a great female lead and like I said before Becks is swoon-worthy. But he is so much more too. Together they are a perfect match. I love the pull they have to one another. It truly is a once in a lifetime kind of love.

This is a great series and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book. If you like PNR you have to read this amazing series.

Reyna started this book in Hell, she had no idea if someone knew where she was nor if they were coming to rescue her. She was trapped with a monster that wanted her only for her blood.

The interesting thing about this is that Reyna is getting exactly what she signed up for at the beginning, she is being used for her blood by an evil vampire.
The problem is that after her blood escort position with Beckham she realized that it could also be a good thing and not only pain and blood.

When she learns everything about ELLE she begins to understand that this is not only about her and Beckham, but they are both key players in the plan to bring down Harrington.

She slowly gets closer to him again and things change for the best, but as we all know their happily ever after is still far far away and they are now faced again with the possibility of living without the other. Can she survive in a world without him?

Beware of the worst cliffhanger ever!!! I'm dying over here!

Blood Match is the exciting second installment in the Blood Type series, and I was so excited to get my hands on this book because the cliffy in the first book left me desperate for more.

The story picks up where Blood Type left off, and we get a look at Reyna's new situation. Seriously, this woman has a knack for getting herself into trouble lol. I don't want to give away too many details in case anyone hasn't read Blood Type yet, but I appreciated the buildup in how the story was told and the events that took place. We start off acclimating ourselves with Reyna and what's going on, and as the story progresses, so do the pacing and action and feels and angst. OH, the feels and angst. Ugh, so good. I love, love, love me some Becks! One of my favorite things about this series, outside of the refreshing take on vampires, is the connection between Reyna and Becks. I need more!

If you haven't started this series yet, I highly encourage you to! Beware, this book ends on an even bigger cliffy than the first one. I'm not surprised since it's a trilogy and Linde likes to sucker punch you with emotion, and I'm eagerly awaiting Blood Cure.
