5 angst-filled stars!!
"For that second he had been hers once more. She didn’t know if she could ever come to terms with knowing he never would be again."
Fast-paced, thrilling, suspenseful, and addictive, Blood Match is unputdownable. Once again we are thrown back into the lives of Beckham and Reyna and it is as intense as ever. Picking up nearly two months after the cliffhanger from Blood Type, Reyna isn’t in the best place physically or emotionally. She is living a nightmare and thoughts of Beckham are the other things getting her through the horror she is forced to experience. But when she finally escapes the hell she is in, nothing is the same, most of all Beckham.
“I am not the hero you have constructed in your story, Little One. I am the villain.”
These multi-dimensional characters are so much more than meets the eye. Reyna’s horrific experience changes her. With realistic emotions, fear and regret consume her but she is strong. So strong. Gone is the innocent girl and in her place stands a brave, kickass woman. She doesn’t give up and I loved her steely determination to face things head on. She refuses to back down even when trouble seems to find her.
Becks is everything. Sweet, sexy, and oh, so swoony, I could not get enough of him. He has so many layers and as the story unfolds and we learn more about his past and why he is the way he is. It’s broke my heart learning about what he went through but he doesn’t let his past weaken him. Rather it makes him stronger and more powerful, his dominance and control a total turn on. He loves Reyna with everything he is and he will do anything to keep her safe.
Reyna and Beckham face several rough patches as they try get back to the place they were before everything went to shit and it tore me up inside. However, when they are finally able to be together, they go all in and it loved it! Beckham and Reyna are the perfect match for each other. They have this intense connection that you can feel is real and their love is passionate and all-consuming. They trust each other and fully accept every part of one another no matter their past.
“What manner of creature are you?”
“One who is not afraid of the monster lurking under the surface. One who desires the monster and the man equally.”
This book has given me so much more than the previous one but still not nearly enough. The anticipation of what’s to come will consume you and make it impossible to stop reading. The villains are more ruthless than I could have imagined and there are new allies who seem to pop out of thin air. The surprising twists and turns are jaw-dropping and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s full of angst that won’t just quicken your pulse, it will rip your heart from your chest.
And OMG the end! Holy freaking cliffhanger!!! I thought the one in the first book was bad but it has nothing on this one. I can't take it. I am in shock and desperate for Blood Cure! August 21st can't come soon enough!

The reason why I cannot say much about this book can be summed up in one word. Spoilers. The story begins eight weeks after the events of the first book and even if Reyna was in a bad situation things were going surprisingly well. Beckham was doing his own stuff and I was not very happy with him. The book was good and it had a good flow. I kept reading to find out what was going to happen next and then came the last chapter. Which ends with the biggest cliffhanger we could ask for and it's terrible. I cannot bring myself to worry though and demand the next book because I know that everything is going to be fine. I have faith. K.A. Linde has a way of surprising us though and I am also kind of dreading the final book too. So many mixed feelings for me. On the bright side book #3 will be released in a little less than two months so the wait won't be that long. The secondary characters were also a good part of the book and I want to see more of them.

Blood Match by K.A. Linde picks up where Blood Type left off. I was shocked at the ending of Blood Type and was so anxious to dive into Blood Match. I would say Blood Type ended on a cliffhanger.
In Blood Match we find Reyna in a very bad position. She is saved by Elle but is constantly stressed by what she went through, suffering a serious case of PTSD. Reyna also saves another woman who is being tested on in the labs who is truly having a difficult time adjusting.
The story moves a bit slow. We do deal with Beckham and his alliances. Also with his situation with Penelope. There is a great scene where Becks stands up to Penelope but unfortunately that starts the story down a horrible ordeal.
Blood Match also sets up characters in different ways and the future of some important Elle characters is in jeopardy. I’m sure after this installment, the whole organization is going to be in trouble. The ending had me SO frustrated and in tears. It is also a bit of a cliffhanger. Elle, main characters, everything is left hanging in the balance. I absolutely must know what happens. There is no way this can end like this. Oh my God, I just went to Goodreads, hoping to read the blurb for book three. There is no blurb. This is killing me. I must know!
I found Blood Match touch and go. Slow in a lot of areas except when we hit a view good adrenaline spots. The build up to the action kept me reading in suspense, so I didn’t get too bored on the slow spots. I just can’t get over the ending. It is burned in my brain and my curiosity is going to drive me nuts. I do recommend this series, but I do warn the romance is at some times touch and go and can be kind of frustrating. A lot of the issues work themselves out in Blood Match, but I at times felt frustrated with the hero.

Let me start by saying I really like Blood Type. It was different, but well written. Sometimes difficulty to connect, but intriguing all the same. Reyna was annoying, but who wouldn't be with a lack of showers. Lastly, Beckham, well his name alone should have cause a bit of social anxiety, but he was cold a distant, because he had a lot of crap going on. So, after my 5-star review of the first installment of this series, I was hopeful for so many reasons to read Blood Match by K.A. Linde, the second book of this series. Bay-bay, let me tell you, Blood Match was EVERYTHING!
Reyna and Beckham are back at it again and when I tell you this author does not let up from start to finish, she left it all out there. Reyna is reunited with her brothers, Beckham and some semblance of freedom as she continues to fight for her survival. Beckham is still living a double life with more layers and complications that even leaves him dazed and confused. So much happens during this story from reunions, to steamy dreams coming true, to love and lost, to B-613 conspiracies, that for me to say more would be to say "tew murch". I actually liked the two of them together in this one... well, at least for the most part.
I digress. I loved this one! Like all of the pieces fell into alignment from Blood Type. There were a slew of new characters and the resurfacing of some old ones that made for drama, excitement, and all of the other feels in between. I am really not into paranormal romances, I've read a few that were REALLY good, and I can honestly say this one stacks right beside those titles. So with that said, I am giving this one 5-stars, and recommend you to run and read Blood Match by K.A. Linde.

Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type Trilogy and it follows the story of Reyna and Beckham as they go through ups and downs to be together. Ever since the first book ended on a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to read Blood Match and it did not disappoint at all.
A quick recap on what happened in the first book, we were introduced to Reyna Carpenter who lives in a time where vampires co-exist with humans and she is going through financial struggles. Without a degree she has no choice but to work for Visage Incorporated, an organization whose motives were to help humanity by creating the blood type cure. Vampires who drank blood from a human who matched their blood type became less animalistic. So they matched humans with vampires and they were paid to give blood. Reyna was matched with Beckham Anderson, a very powerful vampire and their adventure took off as they slowly started to fall in love.
Blood Match picks up right where the first book left off, Reyna has been away from Beckham ever since she got kidnapped and taken to Visage. We get to find shocking news at the end of the first book that become essential in the second book as Reyna tries to free herself from William Harrington (CEO of Visage Incorporated). She has been used as a blood bag due to her blood type and as days go by she doesn’t know if she’ll be strong enough to survive all the trauma that she has been through. It is the memories that she has with Beck that keep her sane, but when she get help from unlikely sources she has to make a choice that could put her life at risk again.
I absolutely loved reading this book, I think it was even better than the first book and it keeps getting better! In this book we really get to see Reyna figure out what she wants and after going through all sorts of obstacles she truly shows how strong she is until the very end. There are a lot more character interactions in this book as we get to meet new characters and learn more about their lives. Reyna finds some shocking news about Visage and this is what drives her to wanting to end it once and for all. The end of the book also has a cliffhanger and it’s shocking! I wasn’t expecting that ending at all and I cannot wait to read Blood Cure. I would highly recommend checking out the trilogy, you will not regret it. :)
***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.***

Mind-blowing. I stared at the very last word of this book as if I could conjure it to continue, that’s how awesome Blood Match is. I literally sobbed at the end… Cliffhanger from hell almost killed me!
I think my brain is still stuck in the amazing world that K.A. Linde created and my heart… well my heart is still a little bruised.
First things first, if you haven’t read Blood Type (the first book in this series) you have to read it in order to understand Reyna and Beckham’s story and their world and after that you can pick up Blood Match and follow this compelling love story.
So, Blood Match picks up where Blood Type left off, Reyna is in serious trouble and Beckham can’t help her because it could risk everything. The story starts slow but it kept me totally engaged, the mind games are absolutely insane and Reyna’s interactions with Harrington, the world’s most powerful vampire, are totally unpredictable. Honestly, I loved how the story kept building, the tension kept rising and how every action caused an extraordinary reaction (or twist).
Will Reyna survive Harrington’s mind games? Is Beckham strong enough to fight Harrington? Survival is the ultimate challenge. And love… Love may or may not conquer all.
Compelling, unpredictable, intense, stunning, brilliantly written with a captivating story line, Blood Match is the real deal. Honestly, I would say this series is the best series I’ve read this year. Can’t wait to get my hands on Blood Cure!

I had waited anxiously for this book to arrive. While my co-review was not that into the first book, I loved it! The same is true with this one. The first time I "cracked open" my kindle version of this ARC and began to read, I was hooked. Reyna and Beckham's story intrigues me. The title intrigued me.
In this installment of the trilogy we are introduced to additional characters Gabe, we have met him, we just didn't realize it, Meghan, Jodi, Bronwyn (I have to wonder what mysterious wonders she will play in the future) and the leader of Elle.
This is a highly packed, fast-paced story led by sex, love, lust, power-hungry, angry, PTSD, depressed, anxious, happy men and women who are out to survive. It makes you wonder would you lose your humanity in the face of a crisis? We say no, yet have we not already? Look around. How much do you hate? How much easier is it to look the other way than to reach out and help? Maybe in Blood Type all Reyna needed was a little help rather than to end up in Harrington's prison.
OMG! I said I would not get on my soapbox for a fictional book, yet I did it! K.A. Linde, you set me afire with this trilogy! I am ready to join the resistance!

5 CLIFFHANGER Stars
Heed that above. Blood Match most certainly ends on a humdinger of a cliffhanger. As the second installment of the Blood Type series, this cannot be read as a standalone. The novels are on the shorter side, more serial than a series, so it's imperative they be read in order.
Blood Type left off with a bang and Blood Match flawlessly continues a few weeks into the future, with zero confusion to the reader. From word one, I was hooked, reading the novel in a single sitting, unable to put it down... only to have the wind knocked out of me.
If you're a fan of Linde, you know she's the queen of angst and the gut-punch sensation, which is why I adore her frustratingly delicious novels. The ending of Blood Match is no exception, as Linde connects you to her characters, has you rooting for them, has them resonating in your blood, and then she flips it around on you and you're left floored.
Since you need to read Blood Type first, I'm not going to give a rundown of what happened in the first installment. Politics is the focus of the series, more so than the paranormal world-building, but they go hand-in-hand in importance, as it's fangy politics influencing human-run government. The fangs want to be in control. The humans are trying to keep their grip on the tenuous control they harbor. Elle, the underground revolutionary group, wants equality between humans and vampires.
Our heroine is a pawn in their war.
Reyna has been kidnapped, held captive, and used for the rarity of her blood type. The vamps want her for her blood, but so does Elle. Forever a pawn, with zero autonomy, Reyna has lost her naïveté, hardened by reality, she comes to understand how it's not good or bad but a rush to power, and power is the ultimate corrupter.
Dealing with a broken heart, learning to cope with her new situation, Reyna pulls a few immature, TSTL (too stupid to live) antics that had me groaning and rolling my eyes, but it was within her character traits so I let it go. She's pining away for Becks, yet also maturing by the second.
Blood Match was an excellent continuation and an even better lead-in to what I assume is the final climax of the series. I had held off for a few weeks before reading, sensing it would be a cliffhanger, and now I wish I waited a bit longer since the only thing I want right now is Blood Cure.

After a major cliffhanger in book one, I was very much looking forward to Blood Match. At times it felt is a little bit Fifty Shades meets The Hunger Games but without the BDSM, and I was in book heaven.
The story started well, but for me it slowed down a little in the middle. As we move through and Reyna’s circumstances change, and new characters are introduced, my brain was making up all sorts of theories about what was going to happen next. Am I the only reader that thought that Jodie was way too well adjusted? Anyway, as the story was dealing with regular life issues my imagination ran away with me. I kept waiting for something bad to happen. Reyna has a knack for getting into trouble everywhere she goes.
The slowdown in the middle of the story, it seems, was just to get us comfortable as the story ramps up and up until it gives us a killer final scene with an even bigger cliffhanger than the first book. I think I read that whole scene with my heart in my mouth with “Oh My God!” running on repeat in my head. I was left stunned. All my theories went out the window as my brain tried to figure out where to next. I can’t wait to get my hands on Blood Cure to find out how this fantastic trilogy ends.

If the first book in this series was about Reyna’s personal experience, this second book introduces readers to the wider dystopian reality surrounding Reyna and Beckham. I loved the history, the politics, and the complex struggle for power. Reyna is at the centre of this book but now she is more informed and more useful.
Despite the cover, this is more of a dystopian adventure than a paranormal romance. Reyna and Beckham’s relationship is essential to the story but it isn’t always at the centre of the book. Both are becoming interesting characters in their own right and it was actually the other friendships and alliances beyond the central romance that held my interest in this second book.
Especially reading pre-publication, the cliffhanger at the end of this book feels completely unfair. And unnecessary. This second book is brilliant, and the series is strong enough to keep readers excited – without the emotional blackmail at the end of this book. Needless to say, I can’t wait for the next story.
Dawn – ☆☆☆☆
This is book two in the series, it starts right where book one finished, therefore should not be read as a standalone.
Reyna has been kidnapped and is being held by a man who wants to rule the world.
Reyna is trying to mend the pieces of her broken heart while trying to stay strong.
There is so much angst in this book, I loved it. I was hooked from the very first page and can I just say, holy cliffhanger Batman! It kind of destroyed me. I really cannot wait for the next instalment to this story. This author really knows how to keep you hanging on.

This is the book in the middle of the Blood Type trilogy, so naturally it felt like a transition book, since nothing yet is solved in this world where vampires and humans are fighting for dominance. It took off after Reyna’s kidnapping and ran off right into a tale of suspense that had me biting my nails and a sweet story of love and devotion, to end in a spectacular cliffhanger, again.
The book starts with a sex scene between Beckham and Reyna that had me confused for a little while. Then when Reyna wakes up from a dream and faces her current reality, it makes for a very tragic moment. She’s imprisoned and is being robbed of her blood every week. At least, the evil William Harrington is not actually biting her, but still Reyna feels violated. The sense of alienation, and not knowing what is happening with Beckham, is harrowing.
I’m not sure how much of the plot to give away and not spoil the plot for future readers, but since this is a romance featuring Beckham and Reyna, it’s sufficient to know that she is rescued and brought into the Elle organization headquarters. She meets with new and old friends and joins the resistance organization. She wants to assist in their work and is held back because of her rare blood type, which makes her very special.
As with the previous book, we have the issues with Penelope Sky, who also loves Beckham and wants him with her. Reyna and Beckham resume their love story after a bumpy first meeting and their love runs fierce and wild. They are more involved as ever as Becks shares more of himself and his story. Reyna is still impulsive and prone to get herself into problems. She’s courageous and driven, a far cry from the naive and helpless girl from the first book.
The book started a little slow but as the story unfolds it gathers speed and has you biting your hands. Visage is into world domination and Harrington is going forward, no holds barred. Beckham’s work as an Elle Resource is compromised after Reyna’s kidnapping and the resistance work feels futile. There’s a sense of urgency and hopelessness and determination.
The book ends with an incredible cliffhanger and now the days until the next installment feel endless. It is addictive, compelling, riveting, and all time suspenseful.

Blood Match continues the story of Reyna and Beckham. Like the first book, Blood Match takes us on a journey of twists and turns, betrayals, greed, and strength of will.
We pick up where we left off in Blood Type, and see what has become of Reyna and how she is being treated, which is to say not very well. But Reyna hasn't let her current fate destroy her as she knows she has to find a way to get out - to get back to Beckham. Beckham is also present, of course, and we get to see him struggle with his past still and then some. I know that this review is kind of vague - but to be honest - this story is just something you have to read to believe - you have to experience each aspect of it yourself to fully comprehend and I wouldn't want anyone's enjoyment of these characters and books to be ruined.
Blood Match is full of angst and drama, emotions run high and you will be sucked in to each and every page, waiting with bated breath on the edge of your seat just needing to know what's coming next. You'll find yourself hooked not only to the storyline but to the lives of Reyna and Beckham and what is to become of them. Theories will develop in your mind and you'll seek clarifications and whether or not you figured it out and then you'll find yourself shocked yet again.
K.A. Linde has developed quite an interesting world within the pages of these books, a world that is as enchanting as it is scary. A world where the power balance shifts and you aren't quite sure which direction its going yet but know that things are about to change again and leaving you wondering just what will happen next and how Reyna and Beckham will deal with it.
I find myself in a state of Stunned to silence as I read the last pages of this book, with a desperation for the next book to see what is to come. Linde has become a master at the perfect cliffhanger - one that leaves you in shock, needing more, and yet seeing the beauty of the craft of where things are left as well.

I have struggled for weeks since reading this 2nd installment of the Blood Type series, as to what to put in my review. So much went into this one book, and without spoiling a thing, I will say I am still experiencing a book hangover weeks after I read the last word. I can tell you, that this book ends on a major cliff hanger, and while we know the third and final installment is out in just over a month, it’s still hard to wrap my head around the events of this book. I was happy, elated, in love with where Kyla took this story, and at the same time heart-broken and traumatized. So much angst has been packed into this one book, I do whole heartedly believe it’s the most angst filled book she’s written to date! Having read every single one of Kyla’s books, I know that you can’t let where this book ends ruin you. You must find a way to realize that there will be more, and wait for it. This is by far one of the best books I’ve read in 2018, and truly was a page-turner. The characters made me love them, hate them and even pity them for certain reasons. In all my years writing reviews, I have never struggled to put my feelings into words without using every word under the sun to encompass my feelings. Kyla has done it again with the 2nd book of Reyna and Becks and I can’t wait to see how this story ends in August. For someone who has never been into paranormal romance at all, Kyla truly has surprised me around every corner! BEST BOOK OF 2018!!!!

Captivating writing style, appealing characters, suspense and great world-building make this novel really entertaining. I'm pleasantly surprised just how much I'm enjoying this world. The author gives us a new spin on a complex vampire society and its challenges. The storyline is well thought out and grips you with the twists and turns presented.
The book has strong female characters, which is another plus. Reyna has been kidnapped for her very rare blood type that makes her very valuable to one particular vampire. She has been living a traumatic experience, not knowing where Beckham stands. There are so many forces working against these two, the intensity level is surreal.
I devoured this story! There was something going on each page I turned. I just could not put it down.
This book is filled with love, mystery, betrayal and action. It will keep you at the edge of your seat and begging for more. I'm looking forward to continuing this series and finding more about Reyna and Beckham.

Another great read! I'm really loving this series by Linde. I really don't love 3rd POV but I don't seem to mind it with this story. I'm just sucked in and I can't get enough of this vampire world. I still really enjoy Rayne and Beckett's story and can't wait to read the final installment. I just wish it would come sooner!

You guys!! Blood Match was amazing!!! I could not read this story fast enough! Becks and Reyna were fiery, sexy, passionate and their story so compelling. I was glued to my kindle and could not get enough!
I loved this fast paced story! Blood Match picked right up where Blood Type ended where Reina and Beckham are now fighting danger all around them. I loved this story and how we see tremendous growth in Reyna. She is stronger and less innocent. She knows the enemy and what they are capable of. And that ending?! OMG WHAAAAAAAAAT???
Gah!! Without giving away any spoilers just know this story was flawlessly written and is one huge explosion from the get go. I seriously can't wait for Blood Cure. Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula

really enjoyed this book.
It was addictive, sexy and so well written but I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can say without spewing spoilers everywhere... And this is a series that really should be read without spoilers or it could lose some of its zing. So I'm going to keep it simple.
I love this world.
I love the way it blends the paranormal - aka Vampires - and a dystopian future.
Reyna is a likable character and her heart is most definitely in the right place but she can be a little bit annoying at times. Beckham is a likable character and can be a bit of an ass at times. Together they are an addictive couple who I can't get enough of.
The political intrigue deepens in this book and we get to see more of ELLE the human/vampire underground organization fighting for equality which was so cool...
But the ending.
That FRICKIN' ending.
What the hell?!
Once again it's a massive cliffhanger and once I again I just can't... It was worse, so much worse, than book one. I mean, HOW? How could it end like that?!
It makes no sense.
It can't be the end.
It's just wrong.
I know my rant makes no sense, but if you read the book you'll understand, and trust me the end of this one is not something you want spoiled (for I don't think I'd have read the book if I'd had a clue).
I'm going to keep the faith though.
There's got to be a happy ending at the end of book three, right?
This is a romance series, right?!
Right.
PS - I totally recommend this series.

Blood Type was already an amazing story, but Blood Match got even better. After the cliffhanger I really needed this book and it didn't disappoint. I actually think this one got even better. This story starts off a little after the ending of Blood Type and Reyna is in a situation she never expected. Besides the romance aspect, there is a lot of suspense. Reyna and others are up for a fight, but will they be able to win? Things aren't always what they seem and Reyna has to learn to cope. Beckham is still the mysterious sexy vampire. There are some amazing characters added to this story with Elle and I hope we see even more of them. Once again, K.A. Linde left me wanting more. Luckily Blood Cure will be released in a couple of months. I have read different vampire books, but not any with a world created like this. How making vampires less animalistic with blood matches can turn into their worst nightmare in the end. A world where is doesn't matter how smart you are, it isn't easy to get a job. A world where vampires aren't supposed to be as scary, but still have way too much power. Sounds interesting doesn't it? Paranormal readers will love this story! I don't want to say too much, because this is really a book you need to discover while reading!

OH.MY.GOSH! I have so much love for this series, it's ridiculous. I could definitely do without the cliffhanger endings (the wait isn't long people, you can do it!), but we just have one more book to go until we finally reach the end of this crazy vampire world with blood escorts and the elite. Pretty darn political if you ask me. Just like when you finished Blood Type, you'll be hungry and waiting once you reach the end. I'm such a fan of this new take with one of my favorite paranormal beings to read about; vampires! And Beckham is still one that you'll absolutely fall in love with!
Reyna! I love her character so much, she has come so far since day one in Blood Type. Gone is the naive woman and someone new to be admired rises. She's definitely a much stronger character this time because of what she had to endure when she was captured and tortured. And with just accepting her new reality and the craziness of the world she lives in. Reyna was truly knocked down physically and mentally in this one, you'll be wondering how she'll make it out alive. But in the end, I felt like she was much stronger. Her eagerness to be reunited with not only her brothers, but essentially the man she came to love, Beckham. And also the fact the RIGHT thing needs to be done!
The drama and angst are all there in this one, which will really pull out the emotions out of you especially when it comes to a couple of characters you absolutely despise. I'd say one of them is completely unnecessary, but that's just me ;-) However, it was just right amount I could deal with, without getting too irritated by it all.
It's a slow start, but once things really start to pick up, you'll have quite the page-turner on your hands. I was constantly hungry for more and now I'm so damn eager for the conclusion! Gimme, gimme, gimme! Such a solid read from K.A. Linde and a great addition to this series. Absolutely can't wait for Blood Cure!

Blood Match by K.A. Linde is the second installment in the Blood Type Series. Blood Match is not a standalone, I strongly recommend to read the previous book Blood Type, first.
Blood Match picks up where Blood Type left off. Reyna was kidnapped by a sinister vampire and is held prisoner. She´sused as a blood bag - nothing more. Reyna is furious but her rebellion is smothered pretty quickly.
Beckham is a mystery. He acts a certain way only to counteract some time later. Reyna misses him and longs for him.
Beckham seems to believe she vanishedon her own free will and the question is will he be looking for her? All in all he seems like a cold hearted vampire too.
Let me tell you, I started reading and I couldn´t put the book down, I was that hooked on the story. There´s so much drama, pain, danger, desperation and more drama, the story left me breatless.
And then, bam it ends with a cliffie and now I´m sitting here and can´t wait to read how Reyna´s story continues. 5 stars.

WOW! Just W.O.W. Blood Match was one of those books that grabbed me from the first page and I found myself drawing out my reading time because I didn’t want the book to end. At Reyna and Beckham’s first scene together, I still thought he was a jerk, but I have to say he did prove himself throughout this installment. In true Linde fashion, BE READY FOR THE ENDING!!!! I thought I called it several times, but I wasn’t even close. Never.saw.it.coming.

I can’t even put into words what I’m thinking right now. K.A. Linde sure does know how to suck you until the very last page. I kept turning the pages expecting there to be more. Ugh... I don’t want to spoil this amazing book for anyone. All I’m going to say is read it and you will probably be mad by the time you finish. I need Blood Cure asap!
