This is my first book by Archer. I realize that I started at what is possibly the end of the series but I managed to keep up with the story line.

A 3 star read for me. I am a avid reader and MC books are a personal favorite of mine. I had a hard time with Bam and Amber... I wasn't invested in their story and I didn't feel a pull or need to go back and try the other books before. I found myself doing some page skimming. I was hoping for a lot more action as far as the MC went, and was disappointed that there was hardly any MC interaction at all.and what there was fell flat for me.

Bam and Amber were different in that they weren't settled already in their lives both were young and Bam had only been a patched member for a year. We don't often see that in MC books.
For the premise I liked the book enough to finish but I won't go back and read the previous books or any future.

I'll give this 3 1/2 stars. I am not the biggest fan of MC books as a rule, but I still like to read one every once in a while to see if my tastes have changed. Still not a favorite for sure, however, this one was well written, very easy to read and enjoyable enough to keep me reading until the end. A good mix of MC stuff and other qualities I like in a romance to hold my interest. The characters were very realistic and I felt very invested in Amber and Bam's story.

Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC.

Take a motorcycle club and the mafia, and think of all the possibilities. This is the first book I’ve read by Gillian Archer and I was looking forward to this combination.

Amber’s father Stitch belonged to the True Brothers MC. A year earlier her father was shot dead in a parking lot and her mother has fallen apart, forcing Amber to take care of everything. She keeps asking questions about what happened but no one will talk to her. All she knows is it was a biker from a rival MC and the biker was turned over to the Russian mafia.

So Amber shows up at Howl, the mafia’s bar. There she meets Ruslan, the son of the head of the mafia and she tells him she wants to know her father’s killer died painfully. He is attracted to her, they kiss, and suddenly the office door opens and it is men from her father’s MC. Bam, a huge biker, tosses Amber over his shoulder and takes off with her as the bikers claim she is club property since her father belonged to their MC. Ruslan starts sending her gifts and soon Amber has a bodyguard 24/7 as they try to keep Ruslan away from Amber since Ruslan seems obsessed with her. All the time Bam and Amber spend together starts to affect them.

At first, I was surprised that Stitch’s MC hadn’t kept up with his family. The mother’s girlfriends also seemed out of the picture. For a group that feels like family, it was weird that they didn’t know how Amber and her mother were struggling.

I was disappointed with the way Ruslan was depicted, I know he was a bad guy, but I would have preferred a less extreme depiction. Amber annoyed me at times, she just spent too much time ranting at Ruslan ignoring everything going on around her, including when lives were at risk. Bam was perfect, a good balance between what he wanted and what he feared, plus he was a really good person.

Amber and Bam do not have the greatest respect for each other upon their first official meeting. Amber has found herself in a bit of a situation after going off on her own to find answers to her father's death. She wants assurances that the man who murdered her father has been at least made to suffer for his death. Amber gets stonewalled by the True Brothers MC so she takes matters into her own hands. She gets more than she bargained for when she finds herself the attention of the Russian mafia. She gets unexpectedly rescued by Axle and Bam who were there for a meeting. She is still very unforgiving of the club and it's members after the death of her father. She lashes out at Bam Bam and pretty much acted like a toddler on their ride home.

Bam knows that Amber is off-limits as she is considered a Club Princess. Amber's father, Stitch, was killed about a year ago and though he barely knew him, he knew what a good man he was. Bam is stunned to find that Amber and her mother have been struggling both emotionally and financially as badly as they have. Bam starts to have some respect for Amber and finds himself drawn to her. Bam didn't just see Amber as a spoiled brat, he saw beneath that to her strength of picking of the pieces of her life and trying to be there for her mother.

Amber left college in order to take on the financial responsibilities of her mother. Her mother, Brittany, has fallen hard into the bottle and can't seem to find her way out. Amber is fully aware that her family doesn't acknowledge issues, they just sweep them under the rug and pretend they aren't there. Amber is feeling the weight of the pressure of taking on too much responsibility and lashes out at Bam quite a bit for it. Bam, to his credit, takes some well deserved anger back to the club and questions why more isn't being done for Amber and her mother.

The Russian situation doesn't not get resolved quickly or easily. Bam and Amber both fight their attraction way too long and the book did start out kind of slow. I liked how Bam put it all on the line for Amber. When he realized how much he was feeling towards her it came as a shock to him, but it wasn't really a surprise to anyone else. I liked how he didn't back down from any demands or ultimatums placed upon him by the club. Amber did have some growing up to do in this book but she did get there with some help from her family and friends. Overall it was a good read and it fit right in with the rest of the books in this series.

I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

This is one hot, intriguing read! Hunter Kincaid(Bam) is a biker and Amber Bennett has sworn off bikers after the death of her father. Her father was a member of the same biker club and was shot in the parking lot by a rival biker group. Lots of intrigue, romance, and heat to keep you engrossed in this book!

This book was the fourth in the series and I hope you read the previous four to get a better feel..This book was all about the Bam, he was it to me. Amber was annoying to me at first but she eventually won me over and yes I did take into consideration what she went thru and what she was going thru. We had some funny moments that I really liked to combat some of the sadness..

I am in a bit of an MC kick right now so I was happy to get a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Although I have read other books in this series,I had not read the book that preceded this one and I had no issues jumping into this story. I was really worried that I was going to hate Amber throughout the entire book.. She is such an idiot in the beginning. She did win me over and I think she grew up a lot in the course of the book. and I did like that the book touches on what happens to the families of the members that have to deal with losing their loved ones in horrific ways. I would be every bit as angry as she is. I liked that Bam is a newly patched in member which is a different perspective as he is a lot less sure about his role in the club. This was a solid read that perfectly fit the mood I was in.

I am hooked on the True Brothers MC series and was glad that now we have Bam Bam’s story. Even though Amber was a MC Princess she had to leave college to take care of her grief stricken mother, Brittany, so that there was someone home to take care of all the bills and pull her mother out of her own puke since she had hit the bottle since her husband was gone. None of the True Brothers MC, including her own brother who was prospecting for them, was around since her dad died to help out in anyway so that meant that Amber had to take a skeevy job as a cocktail waitress in a casino with grabby handed men.

Now the MC was finally opening their eyes to all that had been going on to their fallen brother, Stitch’s family. Once known that Amber was being stalked by a Russian Mafia kingpin Bam Bam informed the club and set about making himself her main bodyguard. Bam had a lot to overcome since Amber now hated the MC who left her to pick up her family’s pieces.

This book was such a page turner and hooked me from the start. Rough Ride gave me everything I want in a MC book and sprinkled just the right amount of humor in to take you down from some “in your face” moments. Decisions had to be made and pasts overcome. If you haven’t read the rest of the True Brothers MC series, you are missing out. I can’t wait to see what Brother Ms. Archer gives us next.

I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

Rough Ride is Amber and Bam’s Story and continues the True Brothers series. Bam is a fairly new member of the motorcycle club and Amber’s late father was a member of the club. Some back story was provided for both characters, but the story really felt rather formulaic.

This is the first book by Gillian that I have read and I am sooo glad that I did. I absolutely loved this book and now will be going back and reading the first 3 in the series. :)

I'm a sucker for a good MC romance and Bam & Amber gave me everything that I could hope for in an MC couple - from there bickering and chaos to there happy moments and love, it really was a great novel.

Not only that but it was very well written, often times I feel like MC novels can be too unrealistic but this one was just the right amount of everything. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves MC romance.

I am not much of a MC reader but this book was amazing! Going back to read all the previous books is on my next TBR list!’ Highly recommend!

Amber goes from no guy, to two fighting over her. It was an easy choice for Amber though to pick which one. Rough Ride, is a great MC romance novel.

Amber and Bam are such an interesting couple. Amber's past hurt and pain and her constantly having to take care of her drunk mother are really taking a tole on her and then in comes Bam to shake up her life. The crazy Russian was just so wild, he bought her a new vehicle just to show her he wanted to date her. Now, Bam the dreamy Viking lookalike is exactly what Amber needs. He is a force to be reckoned with and she really needs a strong, caring man in her life. It was a really great read and I can say I throughly enjoyed this book. It was so complex and it takes you on a wild ride. I love how her mom starts to come back to life by the end of the book. Excellent turnaround for this character.

ARC received for review

I got what I asked for...this is Bam's book. Bam looks like a Viking and takes what he wants which happens to be Stitch's daughter, Amber. She's had it rough since the last book taking care of her family, but Bam swoops in and helps out. Amber does something stupid which gets her unwanted attention from a crazy Russian. Now who's up next I'm not really sure.

Rough Ride is Bam’s story and rather he realized it or not, his life to was about to get complicated. And what better way than with Stitch’s princess daughter Amber. Amber dropped out of college to take care of her grief stricken mother and wanted answers about her father’s death. Soon realizing going to the Russian mafia was the wrong thing to do. Bam has sworn to take care of her but can’t seem to stop thinking about her, allowing their attraction to go further than what it should have. Now the club members are warning him, the Mafia and rival gang Wild Riders are on their back. Who knows Amber and Bam just might make it together!

Love the story. Love the characters. Well written and intense. A new author for but worth the late night read.

I have read all the books in this series and I have loved every single one of them!! These are the kind of books that I’ll go back to for a re-read. And I’m finally glad we got Bams story.

Bam and Ambers attraction to one another is through the roof. Amber doesn’t want anything to do with motorcycles or the men who ride them. And most importantly she doesn’t want a man from her dads MC. Especially the club she feels responsible for his death.
Bam wants Amber in his bed. But she’s an MC princess and she’s hands off. That is until Bam becomes Ambers protector after she digs into her fathers death and gets more than she bargained for.

I did not realize this was part of a series. I now need to find them ALL and read them NOW. I loved this storyline. I loved the characters. I also loved that someone would write about "the life" without judgments. The real essence of living the lifestyle was greatly captured and the sex wasn't so bad either (happy winking face)

Rough Ride by Gillian Archer is the fifth book in her True Brothers MC series and I loved it from first page to the last one. This is Bam's story and one very strong MC Princess, Amber.

Amber has had to step up and be the adult in her family after her father Stitch was killed by a rival Wild Riders MC. Her mom, Brittany Coles is coping with her grief with a bottle so Amber gets a job in a casino and drops out of school. She approaches the local Russian mob boss for answers on her dad's death she meets Bam Bam. Since she refused to ask the MC for help Bam self appoints himself her guard to keep both Ruslan the besotted Russian away. But can Bam calm his libido and not touch Amber because she is under the protection of the club? When a trap is by Wild Riders and someone is injured can she overcome her fears and tell Bam that she'll also be there.

Bam has just earned his True Brothers patch and still work for Maverick in his shop but when he sees Amber at the Bratva's club he know he has to protect her at all costs. The MC is the only family he has after his grandmother passes away so when he assigned to be Amber's guard at the Mother Lode he'll have to keep his feelings buried and claim her as his old lady or risk being booted from the club. When they both give into their feelings will he be able to choose her and not lose the only family he's ever known? Can Amber get over how the MC business took her father and now with Bam can she keep him safe?

I greatly enjoyed reading this story! This is book four in the series, but can be read as a standalone. However, I think you would enjoying reading all the previous books first.
This is a story about Bam and Amber. Amber’s father was in the same MC as Bam and was killed last year by a rival MC. Because of this, I didn’t see how these two would work out. The buildup to their relationship was hectic (from outside sources) and sweet (mostly Bam who was willing to give up the MC life for Amber.
