A quick read that has humor laced throughout the story. The dialog is fun, the banter between Cash and Olivia was priceless...the overall flow kept the story moving smoothly from beginning to end. I look forward to reading stories about the Crossroads Ranch.

I started “Tough Luck Cowboy” then backtracked to read this book when I got to a scene where Cash showed up on pages. Now I don’t know if I should feel glad or sorry for doing so. You see, I love brooding and hunky law enforcement slash cowboy. I’m all for insta-love or love at first sight even. But “Saved by the Cowboy” just fell short of my expectation. I don’t want to blame it on the length of the story as there were novellas that left quite some impact and great as a standalone. But I really felt a big part of the issue I got here was the sequence. Everything was rushed.

Exhibit A was how Olivia jumped into a tryst with someone in mere hours after meeting him. While she was still in a relationship with another. Or not yet ended it. Now I don’t know if I should include this into exhibit A or put it into a new one; but dismissing rubbers on the account ”I’m on the pill” with someone you just met when you’re still in relationship with another!?!?! Recklessness and stupidity of the highest order! And for a man of law to just grin and go with it?? I had no words!!

I guess Olivia characters just grated too much for me to like her. Never mind this novella fell under the rom com genre that I should’ve just thought, aww what a cute/sweet whatever and giggle, the opposite was what happened when I read her antics. Cash was not much better with his hot and cold demeanor, but at least he got that adorable German shepherd that he spoiled rotten. Still, he’s mighty loose lip for a LEO - just because the stranger he met was an attractive woman??

I love small town romance and that second chance story between Luke and Lily still hold appeal to me. So I guess I’ll just consider this novella a fluke and move on to the full novel.

Wow, just wow. I absolutely loved this book. This is the first book that I have read by this author but, it definitely won't be the last. I love the way this author writes. The story flows seamlessly. there are no abrupt stops and starts. I love the storyline and the wonderful characters. Sheriff Cash was on the job when Olivia came speeding into his life but, it wasn't just her car that was racing. When their eyes met it was his heart that he needed to slow down. I can't say enough about this amazing book. What I can say is , this book is a must read. I know that I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Sheriff Cash Hawkins is expecting the same dull Saturday evening he has every week in his little town, but after he spots a speeding VW bug blazing through town, things start to take on a more exciting look, especially after his eyes land on the driver!

Olivia Belle believes in happily ever-afters, but for some reason she feels like she is jinxed when it comes to them, she wants what her grandparents had, many years of happy, wedded bliss. But every time she thinks she might of found it, her instincts kick in and she runs, because it just doesn't feel right, it doesn't have the magical feel she has heard about. When she learns that her grandparents long lost love letters could be in Oak Bluff, she decides to go in search of them, certain that they hold all the keys to true love... and she finds so much more than she ever expected!

Saved by the Cowboy is a sweet and heartfelt tale that is sure to leave you mystified by the powers of love! This little novella is not only enthralling, but also quite uplifting, proving that love can be found in some of the most unexpected places, even if you have to go on a road trip to find it! Watching Olivia and Cash find love was an enjoyable journey, I mean what is not to love about a handsome cowboy coming to the rescue, and bringing a happily ever after along with him. I highly recommend this one, it's sure to leave your heart happy!

Saved by the Cowboy is book 1.5 in A.J. Pine’s Crossroads Ranch series and it’s such a fun novella! This can be read a standalone.

Sheriff Cash Hawkins and Olivia Bell had sparks right from the beginning. Even though this is a quick read, you’ll find yourself rooting for these two! Cash has been hurt by love in the past and Olivia has her own issues when it comes to relationships. She’s a runner when it comes to commitment. Will she run again or take a chance on love?

Saved by the Cowboy was a very cute, fun, and enjoyable read! I also loved Cash’s dog Dixie!

Saved by the Cowboy was a really good read, although I had not read book 1 I didn’t feel I was missed anything. Great characters and an enjoyable storyline I look forward to reading all of this series and would recommend it to other readers

This was such a cute, sweet story about a grumpy sheriff and a hot mess runaway. I absolutely loved them together, and their banter with each other was perfect. It's such a perfect read to get lost in for a couple of hours. Cash and Olivia were so cute and I just want to spend more time with them and Dixie.

I can't wait to head back to Oak Bluff for book 2!!

So this is my first book from this author and it was pretty good. Its funny I seem to gravitate towards books set in a small town with a hot sheriff, and I think that was what caught my eye. Added bonus was Dixie the German Shepherd! I love books with a cute furbaby.

Maybe its because this was a novella that I felt like Cash and Olivia fell for each other too fast. Olivia did have baggage where she thought she was broken and was unable to love, but even if she didn't say she loved him, she felt something for him. Same with Cash, he also was feeling unlucky in love, but in one week he was in love with Olivia. It just seemed too rushed for me, I felt like something was missing in the story.

But even with the issues I've had with this book, I do have to say by the end of the book I did have a smile on my face. They had their HEA and it was a sweet one so I'm happy I read this book.

I received a complimentary copy of Saved by the Cowboy from Netgalley, all opinions are my own. Thank you Netgalley and publisher.

Sheriff Cash Hawkins was expecting a quiet Saturday night enjoying his favorite barbeque sandwich when a Volkswagen Bug comes speeding down Main Street. Olivia Belle, dressed in a ball gown, without a driver’s license is in a hurry to check into the local bed and breakfast before the door is locked.

Olivia is on a mission to find the letter’s her Grandfather wrote to her Grandmother while he was serving in Vietnam. She thinks if she can read the letter’s she can find the secret to love.

A.J. does a great job developing the character and telling an engaging story. I would hope she is setting the stage for further stories based on the two characters.

Cash and Olivia’s story was such a fun read! The dialogue was quick and snappy and you could feel the chemistry between the two. (Unfortunately, a lack of chemistry between main characters in romances has become way too common!) Their first meeting is actually a meet cute as Cash pulls Olivia over for speeding. This was a terrific quick read for an afternoon or evening. I can’t wait foe the next book in the series!

This novella was a quick fling. I was intrigued by the description, but it took me a few chapters to actually get into it. I didn't realize going in that this was part of a series, and perhaps that's why it felt like there was too little development in the beginning. Oak Bluff seems to be this special place, but it never really gets the drawn out detail it deserves, especially since it's Olivia's first time there. Cash seems to be a feature character, but even he and his dog don't get that much description. I couldn't actually picture what he looked like, which for a romance novel, seemed a tragedy indeed.

While I thought generally, the descriptions could have been much, much better, more detailed, and given more time to grow, what I did like was the love story. Cash didn't expect Olivia to change for him, and she didn't expect him to change for her. There wasn't this idea that one had to give anything up for the other. In many romances, the woman (more generally) is asked to give up something to be with the man of her dreams, or, more recently, has had to give up something in order to find the man of her dreams. That wasn't the case in Saved by the Cowboy. Although the title suggests that Olivia was this woman who needed saving, I would argue that both characters save each other in the end.

I would imagine that someone who'd read the other texts in this series would enjoy this more than I did, but it was sweet and quick, and overall, a fun journey.

I read Saved by the Cowboy having not read book 1 in the series, but was relieved that I could enjoy this story without the background from the previous book. I will definitely be going back to the start, but you can easily read these stories as standalones.

The characters were well developed and the plot was interesting and read with an easy ebb and flow. I look forward to more from this series and A.J. Pine.

This is a very sweet small town romance. I pretty much smiled through the entire book. Olivia comes to town looking for old love letters her Grandma left behind. Cash is the sheriff, he first meets Olivia as she speeds into town. Cash helps her try to find the missing letters. Their connection is instant and although both have baggage, love always finds a way. The members of the town are wonderful characters. I plan on reading the next book in the series!

Saved by the Cowboy is the novella between book 1 and 2, but this can still be read as a standalone. I have not read the first book in this series and still enjoyed this book. Olivia struggles with falling in love and runs away from her boyfriends sister's wedding when he proposes. Cash is a sheriff in a small town and had a girlfriend leave him when he proposed. So this story brings together two people who have not had the best luck with love and have a nice short journey to discover it together. Recommend this book for a quick romance read with a cowboy.

This is an adorable, flight hearted Cinderella story romance novel taking place in a small town. Perfect for a quick read when you need a nice, clean happy ending. However, it seemed so short to me and as though it could use a little more substance so that it doesn’t seem so quick to resolution. Despite the fact it seemed like a little too quick I would still love to read other books in the series and get to know this cute little small town and the characters introduced in this book better. It was definitely a nice book to curl up and read start to finish without a whole lot of emotional upheaval.

Cash is a small town sheriff, just wanting to relax and eat his dinner, when a car zooms past doing over 20 miles over the limit. Pulling her over, he finds Olivia, wearing an ugly and overflowing bridesmaid dress. She has no license, no registration, and he has no other option than to arrest her. What a hoot these two where to follow their week of getting to know each other. While it is short, it's a novella, I felt it was complete, and really enjoyed this book and the writing. Highly recommend if you want a short story that will give you a chuckle or two.

Somewhat a quick romance story that I really enjoyed!
Cash is the Sherriff in the town Olivia flies through (I think she was going 72 in a 50 mph zone) - he pulls her over to write a ticket only to discover she has no id or insurance card on her. He takes her to jail then to the B&B she is staying at while visiting the area. He even buys her clothes! These two quickly become friends/lovers in the week she is visiting.
He tells her he loves her and (to him it seems) she flees. Only for her to be back 2 months later! Don't worry, this part is predictable, but I wont ruin the details. :)
This is my first book by this author, but I will eventually read all previous books at some point. It can be read as a standalone.

Now this book right here just gave me all the feels I needed!
Sheriff cash Hawkins and Miss Olivia Belle sizzle. She's bold and leaps before looking and he's cautious but doesn't mind telling Dixie, his dog, all about having the breath knocked out of him whenever he's around Olivia. The two fall in love in a small town and the thing about small towns is that everybody knows what's happening with everybody and sometimes the past catches on real fast. Thank you Netgalley for the advance digital copy, romance readers will swoon whilst reading this!
