Is it possible to come home to a place that was never actually your home? A place where belonging and family transcends all traditional meaning. If so, that place is Blue Hollow Falls and Bluestone & Vine for Pippa MacMillan. In a plot similar to one of my favorite holiday movies, The Holiday, Pippa swaps houses with Seth Brogan’s sister and finds herself in the mountains for some peace and downtime. Seth’s winery and his menagerie of animals are a perfect fit for what Pippa is looking for, even if she doesn’t know it right away. I’ve said it time and time again, Donna Kauffman creates places where you can get lost and dream right along with her characters. Bluestone & Vine made me want to runaway to the mountains to start my own winery or find my own mountain man, like Seth. This story will make you laugh, smile, tear up, and possibly cause you to hum a little tune to yourself. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
The Holiday meets Blue Hollow . . . . and I loved it. Good storyline and wonderful background make this a fun read. I love the interaction between all the characters and how the author paints an amazing picture so you truly feel like you are there. Without giving anything away the ending, while a bit predictable, it takes a while to get there and is truly a fun adventure with a bit of shenanigans thrown in. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
This was a lovely new text in the series. Kauffman continues to build a lovely village and mountain scenery in this new book. The characters are interesting and she provides rich descriptions of the surroundings.
This is a book that will grab you from the very beginning. The main characters are Seth and Pippa. Pippa is taking a break from her home in Ireland to recoup and start back up with her career, as a folk singer and song writer. Seth’s sister decided to do a house swap with Pippa but she put Seth’s home, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, as the place for Pippa to go. Seth is starting up a winery after his time in the Army. He has a unique style which Pippa refers to as a “Viking” look. When Pippa arrives to Seth’s house she makes a big entrance by flying in the air! The chemistry between the two of them is instantaneous and undeniable. You will fall in love with the small town, Blue Hallow Falls, and all of the unique characters that make the town very special. Let’s not forget the very funny llama, who is more spoiled than any other animal around. Once they make a decision that will affect the rest of their lives there is no turning back and you can’t help but cheer them on along the way, along with the entire town. This is a great summer read that you will not regret!

I knew returning to Blue Hollow Falls after reading book 1 of this series was going to be special. Truly, it's a place I'd love to live from Ms. Kauffman's descriptions. Too bad such a place is only fictional. *cries*
This second book is absorbing, nicely-paced and a story I couldn't get enough of because of the hero. Seth is hot and utterly charming. Definitely has the art of flirting down and so deserving of an A if he was being graded. Too bad he's a total commitment-phobe. Then again, it might just take someone like Pippa to make him see the light.
Moreover, Pippa is just as good a character as Seth. Blue Hollow Falls is good for her. It gives her a chance to heal from what's happened to her and gives her a chance to experience some new beauty, especially the chance of a lifetime love. Is there hope for this pair?
The further I got into this book, the more I found myself enthralled by Ms. Kauffman's words and all this couple have been through in their pasts and go through on their journey to happy ever after. Really, it was a wonderful book that has definitely made me add Ms. Kauffman to my growing must-read list of authors.
Seth and Pippa's story was so moving! I laughed, I cried, I stopped and considered what I had just read. I know I will be thinking about this story for a long time to come.
I loved Seth in the first book of the series, so I have really been looking forward to this book. He is so funny and also so insightful. In this book we also see how compassionate, giving, and romantic he is.
Pippa has a sparkling personality with a healthy dash of practicality. She is hilarious! I have a complete girl crush on her. I loved her genuine heart and jsut wanted to hug her as she struggled.
This book is really about starting over. Seth has been working on the vineyard for a while, but he is still in the beginning. Pippa is trying to go back to her old way of life, but she isn't quite ready. Several secondary characters are also trying to move forward or deal with massive changes in life. I find myself in a similar position at the moment, and that was why I kept stopping to consider what the characters were saying or realizing that I had tears in my eyes.
Donna Kauffman has done it again! Loved this latest in her Blue Hollow Falls series! The story of Seth and Pippa ended too soon but what a beautiful story it was. I was lucky to have an ARC to read and while this could be read as a stand alone, I encourage you to read the series if you haven’t! The community is full of interesting people! And there is a teaser for a novella for Christmas about Seth’s sister Moira that sounds interesting!
This was a wonderful story filled with small town love. Pippa is an Irish folk singer that had vocal surgery and was afraid of her vocals erupting again. Seth reminded all the readers of a Viking. Long hair, beard and muscular. I was hoping for romance at the beginning, but it took some time for Seth and Pippa to go with the sparks. I loved how everyone in Bluestone took in Pippa in open arms. Everyone in town were always looking for what is best for her and giving her advice. This book had a lot of hurt, sadness, fears, but most of all love. Only love made everyone overcome those fears do to fear and hurt.
This captures such a great feeling of the vineyard and the people that you immediately want to visit. It takes a great writer to put you in the place and make you want to stay.

I absolutely loved this lovely little romance and wish I lived in Blue Hollow Falls. It made me smile gently through the hole story as it wove through the growing love between Pippa and Seth. The smooth writing made me feel a kinship with them both right away, as well as those in town. I especially liked that the author didn’t write in a thick Irish accent for Pippa – there was just enough to remind you that she is fresh from her homeland, but not enough to pause in the reading. Lovely job. There was just enough heat to keep all reading tastes happy in this feel-good story.

Donna Kauffman's Bluestone and Vine is an excellent addition to her Blue Hollow Falls series. The book was adorable and witty. It was also nice to read a book set in my homestate of Virginia.
Unbeknownst to Seth his sister, Moira (Mouse) has agreed to do a house swap with her college roommate's sister. She wants to go abroad so she can study for the bar alone, and her friend's sister, Pippa, needs some time to recuperate from throat surgery and ponder her next move. Pippa is a famous Irish folksinger, who has not sung in over a year since her surgery and is not sure if she will be able to sing again. Seth isn't happy with his sister when he learns of the swap and although he agrees with Mouse, he plans to find alternate accommodations for this interruption into his life. When they meet there is instant attraction and neither knows how to deal with it or if they even want to. Seth likes being alone, he has been working hard on getting the vineyard he owns running, and he's not ready to change his life for something that has too many obstacles to work around.
I loved the character of Pippa. She is so sweet and easy to love. She is kind and is able to see what others need and what they are feeling. She is fun, bubbly and everyone who meets her falls in love with her. Seth is serious, quiet and reserved, but he can not resist her. Pippa and Seth do not want to fall in love. Seth is sure she is going back to Ireland, Pippa does not know what she wants. The more time they spend together, the harder they fall. It takes a huge leap of faith for Seth and Pippa, who are from two different countries and ways of life, to let down their guard and just be happy. I enjoyed the journey they had to travel to get to their happy ending. Donna Kauffman is able to write characters who are strong, compassionate, witty, loving and real. I wanted to be right there with them watching their story unfold. A great romance with a fun storyline to fill it out. I am looking forward to heading back to Blue Hollow Falls to see when Moira will get her Happily Ever After.

3.75 Hearts Oh how I enjoy the writings of Donna Kauffman. I have been waiting for Seth’s story. And Pippa seems perfect for him. Seth is just a simple man who has a desire to be calm and start something he can get his hands into. But Pippa changes everything.
This is a sweet quick read. Perfect to sit and read and enjoy to get out of your own head and take a break.

I love the way that Kauffman develops her characters and her stories. These people felt real and their situations were believable & didn't involve a ton of turmoil. Instead we have two people who meet, fall for each other (but resist because of circumstances), and then have to figure out what life has in store for them when their hearts become too involved.
Pippa is a delight. She's strong, beautiful, and has a love of life that is just so addictive. Her trip to Blue Hollow Falls is about facing her fears over her voice, which she has to face if she's going to return to a career she loves so very much. What she didn't count on is finding a whole town of people to capture her heart, especially Seth.
Seth also has a plan for his life that didn't include falling in love but Pippa is pretty darn hard to resist. The man is kind, caring, and yet such a man :) Watching him resist and then finally give in is just so much fun.
The secondary characters and their relationships with each other is just as important as the main romance. This is a group that loves and supports each other, and it just warms my heart. Part of that is the glimpse we got of our likely next hero - Will, with his immense love for his son but also his overwhelming grief for his late wife. Kauffman is probably going to rip my heart to shreds before it is over but she's going to make me love every minute of it!
Bluestone and Vine by Donna Kauffman is the first book I have read by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last. This book was just fun! The whole cast of characters was utterly loveable and certainly made me want to go back and read the first book in this series to get a bit more background.
Bluestone and Vine is the story of Pippa and Seth. Pippa is recovering from physical and psychological trauma, and Seth with his own troubled background, just wants to be left alone – or does he?
Both Pippa and Seth are entirely loveable characters. Seth, especially, has this vulnerability while still being wholly masculine and alpha-maleish. Pippa is just a genuinely kind person, and the perfect person to bring Seth out of the little-protected bubble he has made for himself.
The secondary characters are all so well developed, the book reads more as an ensemble rather than main leads and supporting cast. Even Dex llama makes his mark! There are so many interesting characters that I just can’t wait to read their stories. There was one storyline in particular, I won’t go into details as it will spoil it, but I’m really hoping there will be more on Will, his son Jacob, and the kind soul that deserves her happiness, Bailey.
Although Bluestone and Vine isn’t the first book in the Blue Hollow Falls series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I hadn’t read the first book, and I didn’t have trouble following on, but if, like me, you enjoyed this world, you will undoubtedly want to backtrack to the first book to pick up on some background.
I was intrigued by the book’s premise. I have a soft spot for anything involving Irish folk and the fiddle in particular, but I never expected to have so much fun and just fall in love with the work that Donna Kauffman has built. Blue Hollow Falls sounds like a town I’d very much like to live in, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series to return to the town and its loveable characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed Bluestone and Vine, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who enjoys a feel-good romance with a lot of heart.
Donna Kauffman is always a must-read for me and this was no different. This was an absolute pleasure and I tried to take my time reading but I couldn't and wound up finishing in one day. The storyline and characters were real to life and had a growth from beginning to end.
Donna Kaufmann is one of my favorite authors. I have read most everything she has written and love most. This is my new favorite! thank you netgalley for the arc and the opinions are my own
Loved this book, and the ones previous to it! Would love to live in this town and know these characters. Donna Kauffman can't write more of these fast enough for me. Sweet lovely stories!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
Can a small town give the answers that Pippa is looking for ?
Will Seth get is new beginning ?
Read the book, and found out how these 2 souls healed each other.
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in the series!
I have really come to look forward to any new contemporary romance from Donna Kauffman. She has the ability to create these cozy, picturesque towns that you wish you could visit and townspeople that you wish you knew in real life. This is Ms. Kauffman's latest series and throughout the first few books, I have been eagerly awaiting Seth's story. Pippa was the perfect match for him. It was a sweet read, with just enough humor and sexy tension, to keep you turning the pages. What I truly enjoyed was the dive into Will's background...who has been intriguing to me since the very first story. I can't wait to find out who reopens his heart to love. From reading the preview of the next story...it looks like we are going to see a romance for Seth's sister from Seattle, the aspiring lawyer, who we meet in this story. Can't wait! If you are looking to add a new romance author to your rotation, I highly recommend giving Donna Kauffman a permanent spot!
