Thank you NetGalley for my ARC. This is the first book I’ve read in this series but I could still follow along pretty easily. It is a good pleasure read.

This series is a hit or a miss for me.
The characters and whodunit were "okay" but it overall just underwhelmed me.
I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Definitely a great read for the cozy mystery enthusiast! Krissy and Vicki own a bookstore/coffee shop, but that is just background to the story. Vicki is getting married and her Hollywood parents are coming to their small town intent on taking over. With Vikki’s parents is a celebrity wedding planner who very quickly ends up murdered. Krissy makes it her job as Maid of Honor to solve the crime, keep Vikki’s original wedding and deal with other odds and ends as they pop up.

This is part of a series, but I read as a stand-alone and it stood up on its own merits.

This is book#6 in the Bookstore Cafe Mystery series and it is a great cozy mystery! Krissy is the Maid of Honor for her best friend, Vicki's wedding. Vicki's parents are actors and bring along some other actors/actresses and a wedding planner Vicki wants a small wedding and has it all planned so a wedding planner is not necessary. This causes a lot of tension among everyone. Cathy, the wedding planner, ends up dead. No one really knows her so Krissy cannot imagine why anyone would want her dead! She begins to ask a few questions along with her friends so the wedding can continue as planned. This is the first book in this series I have read and it worked ok for a stand alone although I am sure I would have enjoyed it even more if I had read the other 5 books. It has everything I like in a cozy mystery- interesting characters, intriguing mystery, and a hint of romance.

A new author for me to read even though it is book 6 .
I enjoyed the storyline and getting to know the characters, Krissy's best friend Vicki is getting married or trying too..
Vicki's famous patients turn up with unexpected guess .
I will go back and start with book 1 and get to know all the characters. You can read this on its own I just like to go back to the beginning of the series..

I really like some of the characters in this series but it’s been feeling a bit flat for me. I’m still not giving up on it, though.

Welcome back to the Bookstore Cafe series. I've followed the series by Alex Erickson from the beginning and have begun to feel like an honorary resident of Pine Hills, Ohio. This time Vickie is getting married and so her (I don't want to say dreadful) problematic parents and their gaggle of uninvited hangers-on arrive. Murder ensues, Krissy investigates, a convoluted situation is finally figured out with the interference of her father (the lovable mystery novelist), his new girlfriend, and the always grumpy police. Good read! Possible spoiler: things with the delectable Paul may be back on the front burner!

I can't say I really enjoyed this book. It's okay. I felt there was a lot of self-talking, justifying looking into the murder. I didn't really like the characters too much, except for Krissy's Dad and his girlfriend Laura. The ending felt unsatisfactory, Krissy was mostly guessing and the murderer just confessed. #DeathByEspresso #NetGalley

Krissy is out to save Vicki and Mason's wedding, and along the way, solve a mystery! Welcome back to Pine Hills!

Vicki's parents, Krissy's father and his girlfriend, Laura, are in town for the upcoming nuptials. When Krissy goes to meet up with them, she's not so pleasantly surprised to see that Vicki's mother (along with wedding planner, Cathy, she has brought in tow) are there to make "Victoria's" wedding a memorable one. This definitely will cause friction, which would please groom-to-be Mason's father (who has a completely different bride-to-be in mind for his son). Cathy's untimely death puts the weddings planned on hold as Mason becomes the prime murder suspect in her demise. Krissy and company to the rescue!

*I would like to thank the author/publisher/Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review*

When Krissy arrives at the airport to pick up Vicki’s parents and her father for Vicki’s wedding, she is surprised to see other people tagging along. Vicki’s parents invited their friends to the wedding without any notice. One of these guests is a wedding planner to the stars who eats chocolate covered espresso beans by the handful. Vicki’s parents invited her to help change the wedding for the better, even though the wedding is all planned out. What happens when the wedding planner is found dead? Krissy will have to find the murderer before the wedding is canceled.
This was another fabulous mystery by a wonderful author. I loved Krissy and Vicki instantly, and hated how Vicki’s parents didn’t treat her or her feelings with any respect. I also loved how the author showed the differences between Krissy’s father and Vicki’s parents. This was a multi-faceted mystery with many red herrings and twists in the plot. I had no idea who the culprit was until the end, and it was a surprise. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.

I enjoyed this installment in the series. I'm glad the series continues as I'm really enjoying the progression of the characters. Although some of the things the main female character thinks don't sound like anything I, or any other female I know, have thought. That is a bit bizarre. I didn't notice it so much in the past, but this last book was definitely weird in that regard. How she acted with Will, and thought regarding her dad's girlfriend, for example. It was more like it was what the author wanted a female to do and say, versus realistic. Hope this improves in the future. Needs to be more realistic on how any woman I know thinks.

Vicki and Mason are tying the knot in a weeks time and so her parents (and Krissy's father and his girlfriend Laura) are flying in ready for the wedding.  Krissy has gone to meet them all and is rather surprised that there are a few extra people that weren't expected, one of which is a wedding planner (apparently the wedding planner of all wedding planners), so Krissy lets Vicki know.  Vicki and Mason had planned (and arranged) a nice simple church wedding and then back to the bookstore for the rest of the celebrations, Vicki's mother (and Cathy the wedding planner) have different and much grander ideas.  At this rate the wedding will be called off (which would please Mason's father no end as he has picked some one else for Mason to marry!), but no one expects all the plans to be derailed by the death of Cathy and Mason being pointed at as the probable killer.

To save her friends wedding and sanity Krissy starts hunting for clues again ... just another day in Pine Hills!

Wedding themed mysteries are always interesting to see how they go. Enjoyed the well played struggle between bride and mom. Always enjoy the characters of Krissy and Vicki. Not disappointed here.

This is an enjoyable addition to a very charming series. Krissy and her friend Vicki co-own a combination coffee shop and bookstore. It's Vicki's wedding and her parents, minor actors from Hollywood, show up with an entourage including Cathy, the wedding planner to the stars. Vicki's mother, gina, wants to have Cathy take over wedding preparations, much to Vicki's dismay and Gina also wants to give Vicki a fancy diamond and ruby necklace to wear at the ceremony. Krissy tries to talk Vicki's parents into letting Vicki have the wedding she has chosen, but when she gets there she finds Cathy murdered. Gina is convinced that Krissy is the killer. Cathy has the necklace in her pocket, but the police find out it is only a fake. Krissy's father, James, a famous mystery writer, is in town for the wedding, and the amateur sleuths are at it again. With likeable characters, a charming small town setting and a puzzling crime, this book is a winner.
