Pursued by Lillian Duncan is a very well written romance/suspense. I was pulled in to the action immediately. This author never fairs to serve up a good read. Fans of suspense will enjoy this book

Thank you NetGalley for the copy of Pursued by Lillian Duncan that I read and reviewed.
This book was pretty good but I wish they would have marked it have religious romance because they are not really my cup of tea. I also find it a bit ironic that in most of the book they are talking about God yet they have a crazed killer trying to kill the main character not very Godly if you ask me.
This book was definitely full of action from the start. I fear enjoyed that part. Who the killer was you were kept guessing and that was also great. The romance got lost in the the religious aspect of the book for me. I mean you can't fall in love with someone if they are not also a Christian? That is very insulting and I really feel this book needs to be marked as a Christian romantic suspense.
I am giving Pursued three out of five stars.

Pursued is suppose to be a mystery, suspense romance. Big city Lawyer and small town farmer. One is Religious and other one isn't. One is from a big family the other doesn't have any family. The whole opposites attract story line.
The story starts off with a bang and soon falls apart in a mess of cliché that do not end. The best I can say is the story is a lifetime movie story line that doesn't fulfill what it promises.
I enjoy a religious romance but this one hits readers over the head with God, prayer and his hand in all things. I have rad many Christian romance stories most leave readers with a reason for everything that happens. This story shoves that down your throat.
The story lacks creativity from Dylan Monroe being a fireman, farmer, and military. Reggie Meyers who questions everything, lawyer who can't seem to think for herself.
This reader found herself flipping pages until the very end which once again was very easy figure out.
Thank you to Netgellay and the Publisher Pelican Book Group for the copy of Lillian Duncan Pursued.

Attorney Reggie Meyers is having a bad day. First of all she loses a court case and because she's brand new, she worries about her job. And then driving on the way home. she thinks she might have a flat tire so tries to cut across a couple of lanes, and as she's doing that, a dog runs out in front of her. Slamming on her brakes, the battered pickup behind her can't stop in time. Adding insult to injury, she gets the ticket.

Dylan Monroe is a dairy farmer ... one with a heart of gold and anxious to help Reggie in ny way he can. Doesn't hurt that she's beautiful and feisty. Dylan winds up taking her home and finding that someone has broken in and trashed her apartment. Later there is someone firing gunshots at her.

Reggie has learned not to trust anyone ... but she feels much safer when Dylan sticks around to protect her. Who wants Reggie dead ... and why?

This is fast-paced with a lot of action and several twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. Throw in a little romance and it's quite an enjoyable read. The characters are almost too good to be true. Dylan has a habit of winking almost every time he speaks to Reggie .... the only real negative I found. This is a Christian author, so there's quite a lot of talk about faith and trusting in the Lord that everything will turn out okay in the end.

Many thanks to the author / Backlit PR / Pelican Book Group / Netgalley for the digital copy of this Christian Romantic Suspense. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
