I can't say that I felt particularly inspired by this story, but I gave it high marks because I think it will really appeal to younger readers who are just starting to read graphic novels. Light and funny.
This isn't a complex story. But it's rather tongue in cheek humor, which I like. The author points out the vanity that is basically hardwired into superheroes and takes them down a peg in a silly enjoyable way, then allows them to live up to their potential once more.
Adorable superhero tale with a great message for children. No matter life throws at you, nothing can take away who you truly are and what you can do.
This is a lot of fun. Is you have kids that love Dogman, Captain Underpants, or Narwhal then you need to get this book. Super Potato started out as Super Max. But his run in with Doctor Malevolent leaves his as a wrinkled and plump root vegetable. This book is over the top silly, which is exactly as I would want and expect. Kids will love it.
The Epic origin of super potato was a fun book to read to my boys. Some of the words were a bit big for my 8 year to understand but for the most part it was easy to follow. They are looking forward to book 2. A funny super hero story for any kids that like captain underpants and that type of comic set up
