I can always count on Carlan to deliver a story that's both captivating and sexy as ever. The first volume of International Guy books is both of those things.

The first three books take us to Paris, New York, and Copenhagen. Parker is the man of the hour in all the books, and it was fun to see him have all these sexy and scandalous experiences around the globe.

I love the banter between the guys in the books. They have their bromances going on and all that fun stuff. I loved that the women in the stories were clients of Parker. I love the flirtation, the coyness, and the insanely hot between-the-sheets action that goes on.

I think my favorite guy in the books is Bo. He's hilarious and his personality is perfect.

I liked Carlan's Calendar Girl series and I'm loving International Guy too. If you're looking for books with great characters that are hot and fun, this is the series for you.

Four stars to these novels!

I receive a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. In the first three books it focuses on Parker and Sophia and the rest of the International Guy company and the clients they have. But the Parker, Bo and Royce have rules and the main one is never fall in love with clients. I like how this sets a good foundation for the rest of the series. I like clients, how the guys help them and show a side of themselves as well.

I'm not going to rewrite the synopsis and am going to jump straight to the good parts.

1. Paris
I enjoyed Paris and from the beginning knew right where it was headed. Or so I thought! It went down the line of falling in love but curved off right at the very end but ended satisfactorily between Parker and Sophie. I loved how the fine arts were added and appreciated that Parker was not only a lover of women but also loved the finer things, such as art at the Louvre. I admire the way he treats a woman like she is the most special person in the room.

2. New York
I enjoyed this part. Parker and Skyler were right on track, and their chemistry was in your face. I could feel the longing and dread when they had to part ways and the draw they had for each other. Again, Parker is perfect at making a woman feel like she is his world.

3. Copenhagen
I really liked this one. Parker Ellis heads to Denmark to assist a royal family with their royal pain in the butt, namely their daughter, Christina. Princess Christina is a bit on the wild side, and no one has been able to get to the bottom of why. Hence the reason Parker has been brought onto the scene. He has to figure out what is causing it and fix it or the royal family will be disgraced.

This volume ends with a cliffhanger as to Skylar and Parker’s future.

The only negative I really have is the instant love Parker falls in with Sophie and Skylar. Skylar is his dream fantasy girl so I can see the lust but it was more than that from the second he walked into her flat.

Audrey Carlan did a great job again! I read the calendar girl series and absolutely loved it. This was very similar and I really enjoyed it. The main character, Parker, and his business partners, Royce and Bogart are very relatable and made it easily enjoyable.

Carlan's writing is wonderful and made it so realistic that I felt as if I was watching a TV series. In fact, I bet you this, alongside the Calendar girls series, would make a great series.

I look forward to reading the rest of this series!

Such a struggle to get through which is so disappointing since this is a favorite author of mine. Not for me. Cover is nice, but no.

As a fan of author Audrey Carlan’s Calendar Girl series, I was intrigued by the idea of turning the tables and using men as the main characters. What a fantastic idea!

In International Guy: Paris, New York, Copenhagen, the author creates a trio of hotness for hire. Their mission is to coach others, namely women, in areas like life, love and money. Their fees are high, but the service is phenomenal.

Parker Ellis takes the focal point in this installment although his partners play significant roles. He’s the kind of white knight that we all dream about, riding in on his steed to worship his woman.

Yet these guys aren’t selling themselves as permanent fixtures. Instead, they blow into the scene, observe what changes should be made and then implement with a whirlwind of activity. Whether it is a perfume heiress in France who needs a makeover, a beautiful actress in New York who has lost her muse or a Danish princess balling against marriage, International Guy, Inc., is on the job.

However, amid all the action, there’s plenty of hot and steamy attraction to go around. It’s all in the spirit of fun until one of the guys gets in over his head and starts considering happily-ever-afters.

I loved every single thing about this story from the character development to the snappy dialog. The only thing missing was the continuation, which left me with a definite book hang-over. Traveling to three different areas was interesting, especially with the characters overlapping. Bring me more International Guy, Inc.!

Love it. Neat to see the different stories with the characters in each city. Audrey is one of the best around!! Can't wait to read the whole series.

I loved this author's calendar girl series and she doesn't disappoint with this amazing series either. A wonderful read from start to finish. She is an author I would gladly recommend to anyone looking for a romantic getaway novel wise.

These three novellas are mostly told from the viewpoint of Parker Ellis who co-owns International Guy with his best friends Bo (Bogart) and Royce. It is an image consulting company for business, love or any personal issue. Parker understands the female psyche and how to find their best self, Bo makes over physical appearance and Royce is the money man who can sniff out any finance problem. I enjoyed them going hanging out at Parker's Father's pub and just being friends.

PARIS
This book definitely laid the foundation for the friendship between the guys as well as detailing what their company offers.

Their client is perfume heiress Sophie Rolland, who needs a bit of a sprucing up as she takes the helm of her company. The guys spend a few days in Paris making this woman beautiful and informed about anything fishy going on before she assumes her position. While they're working so closely together she and Parker have a spark! Sophie is a bit taken with Parker and recommends IG to their new assignment in NYC.

Interesting chapter from Sophie at the end.

NEW YORK
Back at the office after Paris, Parker meets Wendy Bannerman the new assistant girl wonder who bluffs her way into the job and is epically qualified. I loved her immediately want lots more of Wendy! She's got some stuff going on with that man of hers! Then Parker is off to New York.

Parker finds himself temporarily moving in with his celebrity crush Skyler find her muse again. Professional lines are once again crossed by Parker since he can't keep his hands or eyes off of Skyler. She's feeling it too and it's sparking up all over the place again.

Acting is one thing, beginning a celebrity is awful. She is struggling to continue working without losing herself and wanting to quit because of it.

I enjoyed the chapter from Skyler's point of view at the end.

COPENHAGEN
Parker jets in to assist with Princess Christina in finding her way back to her true love, Crown Prince Sven who is about to ascend to the thrown.

When Parker first meets Christina she is playing to the paparazzi and the tabloids that she is a royal party girl. Parker listens and observes that there is much more to her than the image she is portraying, and why she's behaving that way.

Sophie pops up again and we also see Parker and Skyler's relationship progress a little and then taking a huge step. I'm hoping they make it last.

I'm hoping for more face time with Bo and Royce in the coming stories. I want more Wendy too.

Another must read from Audrey Carlan!

I have been a huge fan of Audrey's writing from her Calendar Girl series. I have a feeling, that the International Guy series, is going to quickly become my favourite reads from Audrey!

I absolutely devoured this novel. It had so much depth and substance to it, that I constantly found myself turning the pages, and reading like a mad person, because I had to know what was going to happen next. I definitely enjoyed how "International Guy" was not solely one guy. It involves a whole trio of friends, who are each devoted to their own "craft."

I did get slightly confused in certain parts. I found that since this volume contains 3 novella's that the time frames were different, and it took me a little while to get used to. Once I did, I actually really enjoyed the format.

4/5 Stars!

So, this was my first read from Audrey Carlan and I enjoyed it! It wasn't a huge raving read for me, but  when I approached it as a quick read to just get steamy reading it was fun!

This book took a bit for me to get into. I wasn't a huge fan of the characters right off that bat but once I gave it a chance I enjoyed passing the time before my flight reading. Sexy characters and a quick romance that you laugh and sizzle with.

Thanks to Netgalley for the review copy!

3 stars
I am struggling to write a review for this. It missed the mark for me, IT IS A CASE OF, it's not you it is me.

This book includes the first 3 novellas in the Audrey Carlan's International Guy series. The titles focus on a trio of friends who swoop in to solve problems at a price. Largely Parker is the focus, and he's the guy who makes your dreams come true. Bo is the man who makes you look the part, and Royce is the guy he gets your financial house in order.

The first three novellas follow the gentlemen through Paris, New York and Copenhagen. As they solve problems for clients, we largely see Parker at center stage and follow his conquests and relationships. Bo and Royce are relegated to secondary players and Royce doesn't really seem to get the attention he deserves.

I am optimistic that they will play larger roles in subsequent titles in the series. I have actually already read the 4th and 5th books because I couldn't not follow the men on their adventures. This was my first time reading Ms Carlan, and so far I'm continuing to enjoy the series.

International guy is a new series by Audrey Carlan that revolves around 3 guys Parker, Bo and Royce, and their company International Guy. International guy helps out people with their problems for a fee. Parker is the dream maker and thus far seems to be the focus of the series, he is very self assured and definitely confident in his abilities. Bo is definitely the player of the group but I am seriously waiting to see when he finds a woman and gets knocked out by love. And Royce is still super mysterious but I am looking forward to seeing more of him.

Paris gives us a good intro into them, and their roles in the company, and Sophie, ugh I loves her and her little nuances, her and Parker are so great together, they mesh together nicely. International guy comes in to help Sophie get ready to take over her dads perfume company, they help her with her confidence and to straighten out stuff within the company.

New York is super focused on Parker and him helping Skylar (super famous actress) her back to herself and working at the behest of her agent. The problem with this is that Parker is severely infatuated with her. But he does what he is hired to do and helps her get herself back. Love the little cameo in this book by RVD and NVD.

Last but not least we go to Copenhagen where we are meeting the Prince of Denmark who is becoming king and is head over heels for his princess, Parker is there because her mother wants her daughter to get her act together and marry the prince. I absolutely loved this story, because we see glimpses of the other two girls, but not enough to take full focus of the main story.

Over all I enjoyed the story but I am looking forward to the next set of these stories.

I love Audrey Carlan. No question her books have a habit of taking me to far away places that sound beautiful and feel authentic in every way. I was looking forward to meeting these three incredible men as they work with women who need special attention to help them move forward in their lives and careers.

But as much as I love this series, and I do. It feels too familiar to her Calendar Girl series. And honestly, at least with the first three stories, I felt it was all about Parker and not much to do with his two friends. I want them to be more fleshed out in future stories.

The other issue I have is, Parker in general. Everything he does is about manipulation to achieve the goal. I just don't buy the true love he allegedly finds in NY. Just my opinion though. That being said, Audrey brings you in to Parker's world full on and it feels real. That is her real gift. I recommend the series, but there are no real suprises (at least not yet) that I see.

Unfortunately, I don't have as much time to read as I used to and what was great about with this book was I could stop and restart without missing a beat.

International Guy Volume 1 consists of three stories that revolve one hero - Dream Maker Parker Ellis who is the face of International Guy. I had my hesitations at one point because of the nature of Parker's work but when I got to the third story I became completely immersed in everything International Guy.

If you asked me which of the three stories I enjoyed the most? I wouldn't even be able to say because each one has great things to offer. All I know is that I am excited to read more about these irresistible characters!

I love International Guy!! I can't wait to find out what happens next. This book is super hot hot hot!! Audrey Carlan has done it again.

I am not going to lie, I was a little bit confused about what this story was going to be about and where Audrey Carlan was going to take this story. Truthfully, the possibilities where endless with Parker Ellis (Dream Maker) and his BFFs, Royce Sterling (Money Maker) and Bogart Montgomery (Love Maker). If you are already a fan of Audrey Carlan and read her Calendar Girl series, then this is your read. Even if you didn't read that series and don't know this author, I still recommend this read. Audrey Carlan has broken this story up into 12 novellas that are set in as many international cities.
Parker, Bo, and Royce are three friends that run and work at International Guy, Inc., which primarily helps women of power get through rough patches or periods in their life/career/a certain project. These guys pretty much help women get their groove back and help smooth out a rough patch. The only thing I'm going dock points for is Parker sleeping with the clients. This little tidbit crosses the line into gigalo territory and I thought Parker was better than that. I know that Parker loves women and he's business is to satisfy the client, but I think it's cringy crossing the business line (But that's just my opinion).
All in all, I loved this first volume of International Guy! I cannot wait to see what other adventures, dramas, and rollercoasters Audrey Carlan has in store for her awaiting audience. With 9 more novellas to go, she could have anything up her sleeve and, quite frankly, I don't care because I want more International Guy anyway I can get it.
If you're thinking that this review is vague city, I'm sorry, but I don't want to spoil the international adventure for anyone before they get a chance to dive in. As I was reading the story, the book went into a totally different direction than I thought it would so I think it's best to not spoil it for others, but I think it's a wonderful read and worth the trouble.😊
