I enjoyed reading this first volume of International Guy and getting to know all 3 men -- Parker, Bogart and Royce -- very interesting men indeed! In a way, this all reminds me of Calendar Girl but in a completely different way. I have a feeling this will be another winning series as we get to know these interesting, intriguing men and the women who challenge them and love their attributes despite their shortcomings. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

Honestly I couldn't get away with this. There was nothing to like about the characters and there was no real background to get to like the guys... And i mean I love the alpha male type guy but nope there was nothing I liked about this guy. Sorry

I actually quite enjoyed this. Although at first parker seemed very much like a player. I didn't like him. Eventually I warmed to him but he still seems very much like a player. I'd like to know what happens next.

Oh my goodness! This is quintessential Audrey Carlan in her happy writing place. This takes me back to when Calendar Girl was first coming out and I fell in love with Audrey and her books.

Meeting the men of International Guy you really get the insight into what might make them tick and what led them to being the "makers" they are.

Parker "Dream Maker" Ellis is the leading man of IG and also our main protagonist throughout our world journey.

Bogart "Bo" "Lovemaker" Montgomery is the man that can woo any woman and helps them find their own love.

Royce "Moneymaker" Sterling who is the business guru of the trio. He is able to look at a company or situation and provide in depth analysis for the best course of action.

In Paris, we get to meet Sophie Rolland who is suddenly in charge of her families billion dollar company after her father passed. Sophie is out of her comfort zone and not feeling very confident. The men of IG are able to come in and help build her up to a place that she is able to run her company without feeling overwhelmed.

In New York, Parker is called in to help out actress Skyler Paige by her best friend and agent. Skyler seems to have lost her passion for acting and is adrift. Parker also has nursed a healthy crush on her since they were younger and he may get to live out some of his dirtier dreams.

In Copenhagen, Parker has been recruited to help out Princess Christina Kaarsberg, who in line to be the next heir to the throne of Denmark. The Princess has recently started partying and outright refused to the marriage proposal of the Crown Prince Sven. Parker has been instructed to convince Princess Christina to marry the prince. This also allowed us an insight into Parker and left us wanting more!

Carlan has given readers another great series to sink their teeth into! I could not get enough of my IG men and the women they are helping find their ways!

Some of Audrey Carlan's best work to date. Each of her Series is phenomenal but, I loved the humor, the sexy and the way the men of Internationa Guy love and respect women. Parker, Bo, and Royce make up International Guy they started right out of Havard - they proved unique and unusual services to their Clientele. Parker is the face of the Company - he is the DreamMaker, Bo is the one who can dress a woman, do her make up, change her appearance a make her feel like a million dollars - he's the LoveMaker and Royce is the Money man he can work his magic with finances - he is the MoneyMaker. These guys rock there is humor, camaraderie and a bond like brothers.
The first three books in this Series takes you on a journey through Paris, NewYork, and Copenhagen.
This book is so must read. I know you will enjoy it and the adventures of Parker Ellis and his Business Buddies.

Three different locations offer several experiences. The characters are quirky and have great personalities. The writing is unique and has great depth. I easily got lost in the writing which I really enjoy from a book. I liked the plot and although fast paced there was so much packed into the story. This is the first book I have read from this author and I have to admit I need to read more of her books I really enjoyed the journey this book takes you on. I can't wait to read the next part to this series. There are so many paths it can take and I can't wait to see where it goes.

If you loved the Calendar Girls series by Audrey Carlan for all the laughs, sexy moments and the emotional rollercoaster, then you’re going to love International Guy series. This series is told from Parker Ellis POV, Parker is the Dream Maker of the group. You will also meet his partners Bogart “Bo” Montgomery (Lovemaker) and Royce Sterling (Moneymaker). The International Guy caters to their client’s need within illegal limits. In this series, each book will be in a different city helping different clients with still following IG’s personal lives.

In Paris, IG is helping Sophie Rolland. Sophie needs help transferring to the CEO position at her family company as her father has just passed away. This was a great start to this series and love that you got to see how and why the guys have their nicknames.

In New York, Parker needs to help Skyler Paige. Skyler is an A-list actress who has lost her confidence to keep acting. What Parker and Skyler weren’t looking for was a casual relationship that leads to deeper feelings. The team grows by the way of an assistant; Wendy is just what the boys were looking for.

Copenhagen is going to be a bit of a challenge when Paker needs to tame a princess. Princess Christina needs to marry the newly name King but she thinks her older sister is more suited to be Queen. Can we say Family Drama!

So looking forward to the next 9 books in this series, if they are anything like the first three books I might need to stock up on some more wine.

This is the start of a new series and it is going to be fabulous. We meet the guys of International Guy. We have the lovemaker Bo who deals with fashion, then there is dream maker Parker who is the motivator and money maker Royce who helps with finances. These guys help women who need help navigating their current situation for the better. We get a glimpse of Bo and Royce with these first three books but the main focus is on Parker and his path to love. The books are interconnected, with each book taking them to a different place to help a different woman. I can't wait to see where these three men are going to go and what will arise in their professional and personal lives.

I read the first volume of International Guy. This volume includes Paris, New York and Copenhagen. The international guy series is about three friends who get together and use their unique talents to help their clients. There is the Dreammaker, Parker who can read women and know what they need even if they don’t right away. Bo is nicknamed the Lovemaker because the clients fall in love and then he helps them find their love. Royce is the moneymaker who knows exactly what client needs to do to make better money. The first client is in Paris who has inherited her fathers business and needs to look like an executive. All three are needed to work their magic. Will they be able to transform Sophie into the executive that the company needs or will the business fail? What will happen along the way and will it effect business? In New York is where an actress has lost her muse and doesn’t want to work anymore. The best part is she’s Parker’s celebrity crush Skyler Paige. Can Parker keep things professional? Can the team get her muse back so she can do what she’s always dreamed about? Can Parker walk away after?Copenhagen is where a princess doesn’t want to marry the future king and is willing to let her sister have him. The princess, Christina has started acting out and nobody knows why. The future king Sven only wants Christina but she doesn’t think she’ll be a good queen. Will Christina realize her worth and love Sven has for her? I love this series so far, I’m looking forward to next one!

I really enjoyed Audrey's Calendar Girl series even though at towards the end it trailed off from what I first loved about it. I still liked reading it and having her end up with who I wanted her too. I was hoping that International Guy would have a similar theme to it. In some ways it was but in others it missed the mark for me.

When we first meet Parker, Bogart, and Royce I immediately liked them. After a few incidents in book one I was not as impressed. They all have their area they help the woman with (think Netflix's Queer Eye). I liked them going back and hanging out at Parker's Father's pub, those scenes were nice. I loved how they wanted to empower the woman but at the same time some of the things they did were demeaning and a complete opposite from what we were told was their goal.

I think this series had a great concept but it missed the mark for me. I can see how some will really enjoy these books but for me it's a case of "It's not you it's me."

Received an ARC for an honest review.

Okay, so I'm going to be honest. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started reading this book. Was each city a different story? Where they all part of the same? Were each of the guy's going to get a story? So I went in with a pretty open mind. I like the premise. Three guys who have been friends for forever start a consulting business that's a little business, a little image, and a little confidence. They're good at what they do and they know it, and if they can bed as many women as possible along the way, even better.

After reading the first three installments (Paris, NY, and Copenhagen), I get that we are supposed to be rooting for Skyler and Parker. She's his dream girl and they are a really cute couple, but it was hard for me to wrap my head around that after the relationship he builds with Sophie. Add in his resistance to any sort of real romantic partnership and I started to question whether he even deserved Skyler. (Seemed like he was trying to have his cake and eat it too.)

It's clear that Paris set up the series and that Sophie is going to be the one that gets them all of these crazy recommendations. All three guys are involved and it's a great set up for the IG books. In NY, we meet Skyler, who appears to be the one that Parker is supposed to end up with. Less of Bo and Roy (much to my chagrin, because I really want to get to know those fellas more). Copenhagen does feel a little out of the blue. It's a royal family and Parker is still clearly hung up on Skyler, but unsure of what to do with his feelings.

These were a great, quick read and kept me invested. I wanted to see how Parker was going to help each of these women. There was plenty of heat (like, scorching) and there were a lot of really good little nuggets of advice too. All in all, a pretty solid start to this series and I'm hopeful that the next set will settle in a little more, give me more of the other guys, and have Parker get his head out of his butt. :)

International Guy by Audrey Carlan is a series of 12 novellas all set in the world of Parker and his friends.
Parker Ellis and his best friends Bo - Bogart and Roy- Royce are the owner of International Guy Inc., a unique company. They´re called Dreammaker, Lovemaker and Moneymaker with reason. And their first story leads to Paris.
Sophie is a the heiress of a perfume empire and she needs a little help in some departements. And Parker and the other men are too happy to help her gain confidence and self-esteem.
International Guy : Paris is a witty and fun novella, the perfect summer read. The characters are great and I love the writing and the story. I give 4 sweet stars.

Skyler Paige is a A-List Hollywood actress who lost her touch. With experience and love Parker helps her find herself again. And Parker himself fell for the beauty, only he´s deep in denial.
International Guy: New York is my favorite read in this series. The characters are "honest" and the writing, like always by Audrey Carlan is exquisite. I give 5 stars.

But Sven loves her deeply and when Parker gets hired to shed light on the reasons why Christina acts like a spoiled brat, some truths and secrets come to live.
Inbternational Guy: Copenhagen and I we didn´t really click. I couldn´t get a connection with the danish royals. While Parker and his merry men normally are very easioly to connect to, this time they stubbornly refused to bond with me. I give 3,5 stars.

All in all, International Guy is a great series with fantastic stories and characters I loved, excellent written by a outstanding author, I give 4,5 stars.

International Guy: Paris, New York, Copenhagen (International Guy Volume 1) by Audrey Carlan

Genre: ???? According to Amazon it's listed as romance, romantic comedy, and new adult/college

The Premise:

Three best friends (all male) create a consulting company for women based on their strengths. Parker loves all women considers himself to be a woman-whisperer of sorts. He nickname is "Dream maker" because he makes women's dreams come true. Bo (Borgart), the Love Maker, knows everything about fashion and beauty and Royce, the financial genius (aka Money Maker)

How far I got:

57% (three quarters of the way through Book 2: New York) I had to push myself to even get this far.

Strengths:

It's well written and funny.

Why I stopped reading:

It felt like a bunch of bros mansplaining life while fucking their way through a city. The guys felt like caricatures of bad stereotypes.

What other reviews say:

Reviews seem to be mixed. The people who like it, like that it is unique and funny. They like the bond between the guys. Others reviewers seem to have the same misgivings I do.

Good book, solid story. I’ve heard good things about the author’s Calendar series, I I wanted to check out the beginnings of this series.

I was impressed with the author’s writing style and really liked the guys’ personalities. I just had a slight issue with the “makeover” aspect, but that’s my only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5. I will still be reading this series to be sure!

ADVENTURE AWAITS!!
Audrey Carlan, the Queen of serials, does it again with Volume 1: the first 3-parter about a team of hot swoony men for hire to serve as “life coaches” of sorts to some high profile women.
Parker Ellis and his two best friends, Bo and Royce, run International Guy, Inc. They are consultants to some of the most beautiful and successful women in the world, because even the most successful and beautiful women on the outside, struggle with self-doubt and confidence issues.

“I’m going to make sure you can see the world and the people around you for who they are, and I’m definitely going help you show the world your truth.”

In each serial chapter we’re introduced to a new client and arts taken on an adventure in a new city: Paris then New York then Copenhagen. It’s a fantastic journey of cultural exploration as well as some learning into the heart and mind of one Parker Ellis. Not to mention a great crew of supporting characters sprinkled with bookish references (I’m looking at you, Van Dykens 😉)

Told from Parker’s point-of-view, this was a unique insight of the different types of friendships as Parker forms some unique bonds with these clients. He learns about himself and about his feelings and relationships with women. In particular, when he gets the chance to actually date his dream girl, their developing relationship stirs up confusion and feelings that he hasn’t experienced. It has him questioning, challenged, and showing a vulnerable side opposite of his uber confident alpha-male persona.
Overall, these serials are a good start and indication of some crazy trips to come!

“To finding love at the right time.”
“I do not think there is a right time for anything. It just is.”
For a long moment, I think about what she said and realize she’s right. “Touché.” I hold my glass up high once more. “To finding love that just is.”

Indeed. And this is the beginning of Parker Ellis’ story of finding that love. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the serials play out...
4 STARS!

I was given an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I think this series had a great concept but it missed the mark for me.I like the concept but I was struggling a little bit with the writing. I just didn't connect to the story.

"Part of life is taking the hits and learning how to live with the scars left behind."

We were given three stories all focused on our first Parker, the Dream maker. If you are looking for a refreshing story then you should definitely check it!It was unique and I'm going to give it another try and maybe the second time I'll enjoy it more!

This is a fun, sexy new series about three men helping women get what they want from a relationship....or helping them use what they already had inside themselves.

This volume has three different clients being helped. It is interesting how different each one was.

I totally love all of these new guys that Audrey has brought to life, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
