I will probably always request/read books by this author. I know I am guaranteed a great read whenever I come across one of her books that I have not read. This one did not disappoint either.
I love how the author expertly weaves the comedic relief into her romance. I am always chuckling. I simply could not put this book down. It had everything, from romance, to comedy, to some seriously steam.

I’m always guaranteed a good read from RVD. I am love with her writing and I so enjoy her characters. Overall, this was an amazing story to read and one I absolutely enjoyed. But if for no other reason, you need to read this book to the brilliance that is Goo-Poh. Trust me when I say she's the perfect kind of crazy.

How does she do it?? Rachel Van Dyken is a master when it comes to romantic comedies. Dangerous Exes is Book Two of the Liars Inc. series and is such an outstanding read that you won’t be able to put it down. With outrageous characters like Goo-Poh, and the hilarious banter between the main characters Isla and Jessie the love and laughter never stop. Dangerous Exes is a great 5-star read and I highly recommend it unless you just want Goo-Poh putting a Chinese curse on you.
Former NFL quarterback Jessie Beckett’s life is ruined due to his ex-wife and her lies. He blames her and the PI company, Dirty Exes, that she hired for bringing him down. Jessie expected the underhanded play from Vanessa, but not from Isla Turner, who he thought was his friend. Now Jessie is determined to ruin the Dirty Exes, the business that Isla built from the ground up. Jessie can’t help that he’s attracted to Isla and deep down feels guilt for what he has planned, but the guilt is quickly pushed aside when he realizes Isla isn’t going down without a fight. With lies and rumors floating around about both Jessie and Isla and possible unorthodox practices by Dirty Exes, the two come up with a plan that is just as unbelievable as the lies. Now Jessie and Isla must sell their plan to the media and hope they don’t fall into the category of Dangerous Exes.

What a fun book! I liked the storyline and the characters were well thought out. I'm so glad that I had the chance to read it. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

I really liked this one, great chemistry and absolutely hilarious. Follows side characters from the first book, has just enough angst, and great ending.

Such a fun story, but at the same time hit me in the feels! Such is a Rachel Van Dyken story it seems. Isla is feisty and fierce, but it’s all a facade because she’s fighting back to keep her heart safe. Jessie is angry. He’s also broken and anxious and feels the need to look perfect to everyone, but his world imploded with his ex-wife (man I wanted to hurt her!). Jessie blames Isla for it all. He wants revenge. But there is one small problem- they both have a mad attraction. These two may have gotten thrown together, but they gave each other what was needed to feel loved and valued and accepted. I totally loved it!!

I loved the quirky characters and the sense of humor involved in the character shenanigans. The drama that unfolds in this follow up to Dirty Exes is fun and makes the sweet, romantic moments stand out. I recommend Dangerous Exes for fans of Nicola Rendell and Tara Brown!

Love, love, love, love, Love! These characters have spitfire and sass! I really liked the sparks that flew, the pitfalls and the sweet moments. All of the emotions and feels are in this book and series! Great storyline and loved the twists and turns. Beautiful writing and I can't wait for the next book from Rachel Van Dyken!!

After finishing book 1, Dirty Exes, I couldn’t wait for Isla’s story! She was such a fun and hilarious supporting character in the first book that I just knew her story would be great! I laughed my butt off while reading the first book but that was nothing compared to this story!

Jessie did not have a good go around in the first book and he’s now determined to get his revenge. The best way to get that is to take down the business who made him hurt and put him through hell, Dirty Exes.

Jessie kind of drove me crazy for awhile, he blamed Isla more than Blaire for everything that happened in the past. I thought this was unfair, he seemed to forgive Blaire for everything really quickly when she did more to him. I should have known better than to worry though, because he more than made up for being a jerk!

I loved how thin the line between love and hate is between Isla and Jessie. Their banter was hilarious and I knew it was only a matter of time before the chemistry and tension between them would explode. Boy did it!

Note: You don’t need to read the first book in this series to enjoy this one but I HIGHLY recommend it. You will get more history between these characters and see first hand what happened.

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

Rachel Van Dukes never disappoints and this book was no different. This was highly entertaining, if not believable. The chemistry between the two main characters was ON FIRE and the plot was humorous. A fun quick read!

Can I just say that I adore Rachel Van Dyken's writing. No matter what genre or type of book I am reading, I always love her work. This book was no different. It was fun and sexy and overall had me swooning and laughing and gasping the whole way through. I love the twist and the storyline. Great characters and pacing as well. I could not put this book down. I can't wait to read more from this series and from Rachel.

I love this series by Rachel Van Dyken! It’s fun and I couldn’t put it down from the start! Who doesn’t love a fake relationship book, they are one of my many kryptonites. Ilsa and Jesse start off as enemies completely firing daggers back and forth at each other. OH yeah, I loved that. But once in a fake relationship, the two manage to go from hating each other to lovers and it was perfection. Top notch romance from a favorite author of mine.

Erica – ☆☆☆☆
Dangerous Exes is the second installment of the Liars, Inc. series, and I recommend against reading it as a standalone. While it's possible to read it as such, all the threads throughout the novel began in its predecessor. The reader would miss out on the character building, how the threat started, and the connection the narrators share.

From word-one, I connected to Isla. She was insecure after how her ex treated her, but had an inner strength to take the world by storm. The company she and Blaire started, where their clients used their PI service to catch cheating significant others, was a taste of justice Isla could obtain, because all she feels is injustice in the way she was treated by her ex.

Jessie was the wrongfully accused in the last novel. Instead of self-reflecting and putting the fault where it lies – with his ex and himself – he blames Isla more than Blaire. Jessie blames Isla for his life falling apart, when it was the wrong woman he married who set it all into motion and treated them all as pawns. This became frustrating for me, page after page, as Jessie was the most irrational man who didn't take responsibility for his own actions, acting like a small child. Wanting justice of his own, as injustice after injustice befalls him, he vows to take down the women and their growing business, instead of manning-up and fixing his own problems.

This is the first contemporary romance novel that I've read where the enemy is also the love interest. I'm a sucker for love-hate, slow-burn fueled sexual tension. But the plot revolves around Jessie taking Isla down, where they come together to overcome the accusations made in the last installment.

I admired Isla's strength, her tenacity, her ability to open herself up and feel as she's feeling, but I couldn't admire Jessie for his whining childishness. I could see it from both their points-of-view, but I couldn't swallow how Jessie just allowed Vanessa off the hook, then blamed the women who were attempting to help him right his life.

When I didn't think too deeply on the novel, I could enjoy their banter, the lustiness, the quirky humor, and the over-the-top situations. But at its core, it was hard to see a long-term relationship when I don't believe Jessie ever grew out of his entitled little boy mentality.

While I enjoyed this lighthearted, humorous read, it did feel forced. I'm sensitive to this sort of thing, but didn't find it too distracting or off-putting as I read. I loved Isla's elderly aunt, but she was so over-the-top that it was hard to stay 'in' the story.

The banter and tension were off the charts, but I do feel as if the premise couldn't support the amount of pages, where scenes and inner monologue became redundant, by both narrators.

I enjoyed both books in the Liars, Inc. series, little pet-peeves and flaws and all. I found them both endearingly entertaining, and won't hesitate to recommend them to fans of the author and contemporary romance. I'm unsure if there will be more installments, as no other characters were introduced who could support a novel. There was a finite feel at the ending.

I’ve been anxiously and not so patiently waiting for this book since finishing book one and it certainly does not disappoint. As always with Rachel Van Dyken books, once I began I couldn’t put it down, it’s fantastic and I loved every single page!

Isla and Jessie met in book one when Isla was on a job to expose Jessie as a cheater. Jessie blames Isla for ruining his life and image and is out to destroy her PI company and life if he can. The two are at each other’s throats from page one and it’s absolutely hilarious, especially when Isla’s aunt, Goo-Pah is introduced. In order to save their images, Isla and Jessie wind up having to pretend to be engaged, which leads to them deciding they’re going to actually have to get married – much to Goo-Pah’s absolute glee.

This whole story is laugh-out-loud funny, I found myself cracking up on more than one occasion. Goo-Pah is probably one of my favorite characters ever and I really hope we get glimpses of her again in future books. We got tons of Blaire and Colin, the couple from the previous book, and I was super excited about that. This is a fantastic read and I highly recommend checking it out, though I think it would be fine as a standalone, book one is phenomenal also and I’d start there!

Okay ... I REALLLLLLLLY wanted to love this book especially since I'm such a fan of Rachel's book. And Dirty Exes was such a great book and I absolutely loved it. There were some things that became a little bit too much for me and I couldn't quite connect with Isla and Jessie. However, I was very happy that they both got their happy ever afters! And I'm still forever a fan of Rachel's book, so don't let this ONE review make you think otherwise.

After finishing Dirty Exes I kind of knew how this one was going to go especially since Jessie was sure to seek his revenge. And that little bit had me on edge the entire time because I knew it wasn't going to end well at all. I didn't agree with his little plan, not like Isla and Blaire were that much better (that's a different story on its own since I think he pushed all his anger towards the wrong person ... but that's just me). So that little bit didn't put any kind of halo over Jessie.

And little did he know who he was messing with. Even though I may not have connected with Jessie or Isla, I did love how fierce and proud of everything she has built with her company. This company is her baby and damn anyone who would try to take it away for her. And there's where I admired her the most, she never tucked tail when Jessie kept throwing daggers her. She's a fighter for sure.

I was pretty eager to see how things would end up between them, of course, it's a happily ever after. But we all saw from a mile away that something bad was going to happen especially the more fire they threw at each other, the passion was rising between them and the tables were turning. Feelings were bound to get hurt and I definitely wasn't looking forward to that downfall.

Even though I didn't love this book as much as I wanted, Rachel is still one of the most amazing writers ever. She'll keep you hooked and make you want to keep reading to the very end. If you haven't read this series yet, start it off with Dirty Exes and definitely give this one a try, it could definitely be up your alley!

Major thanks to Skyscape and Netgalley for the advance reader's copy.

I had a good time with the first volume and I found the idea very interesting too. It must be said that we do not expect to find a private detective agency that only works to verify that your husband is cheating on you or not, while giving a little of their person to verify it.

After following Blaire and Collin in the first volume, we turn this time on Isla and Jessy. It was surprising to see his interest go from Blaire to Isla, but it finally works pretty well anyway. It must be said that our Jessy is determined, but really determined, to close their company and that’s all that matters! But between attraction and anger, the line is fine, even very fine. So when they kiss and are surprised by a paparazzi, they have no choice but to find a lie to prevent Jessy from being once again in a scandal. They have the idea to say that they will get married … Good idea or bad idea? When feelings get involved too, nothing will be really simple.

I had a good time with the story. It was nice to find the characters a bit and to see Isla and Jessy turn around without really knowing what they are doing. But now, Jessy has a hidden asset that could explode in his face and he will have to make choices! There are of course several appearances of Blaire and Collin, which I also appreciated. A light novel, a lie that becomes reality. It’s always nice to read something like that.

Rachel Van Dyken certainly knows how to write a gripping romcom that you will not be able to put down. She always manages to deliver a great blend of addictive characters, amusing banter, and some seriously hot chemistry with the push/pull that is going on between Jessie and Isla.

This is a riveting enemies-to-lovers story. Jessie is out for revenge and wanting to ruin Isla as he mistakenly blames her for 'ruining' his life and reputation. The banter ad antics between these two did have me in fits of amusement. Especially with Isla's insane Goo-Pooh. This woman literally had me crying tears of laughter with her antics. Poor Jessie and Isla never stood a chance.

Rachel Van Dyken is most definitely one of my instant 1-click authors with her brilliantly flawless writing.

Dangerous Exes by Rachel Van Dyken is the second book in the Liar’s Inc. series and a very nice surprise! I have to say I loved Isla and Jessie’s story so much. It was an enemies to lovers story full of chemistry, laughs and banter.

Jessie is mad and out for revenge. The ex-quarterback’s image has been smeared and he blames Isla and her company. Isla realizes she made a mistake, but Jessie is not going to take everything she has worked hard for away. Isla and Jessie do not like each other but cannot deny the chemistry they share. Now they are pretending to be a couple, nothing can go wrong, right?

I have been reading Rachel Van Dyken for a while now and I have to say, she never disappoints. Dangerous Exes was a great read that I devoured. It was fun watching Isla and Jessie fighting what they have and cheering them on. They were both great characters and I devoured their story!

I just love this series. RVD has this way of reeling you into a story, making you fall in love with the characters, making you laugh out loud at their banter and antics—all while creating a world and storyline that is deliciously sexy, fun, and full of love and heart.

We met Jessie and Isla in Dirty Exes and I was beyond ecstatic to see where their story would go. A little bit of background... they can't stand each other... hate even... and Dangerous Exes is enemies to lovers/rom-com/Rachel Van Dyken at her best.

Jessie Beckett wants to take Isla down. In Dirty Exes, Isla's PI company helped Jessie's now ex-wife expose him for being a cheating husband, all the while SHE was the one wrong in their relationship. Now Jessie has lost all the things that meant something to him... his charity foundation he worked for, his name and reputation are smeared in the mud and he wants revenge on the one who took him down... Isla.

I have to say that from the get-go, every interaction between them had me laughing out loud—their banter so filled with fury. And let's not even talk about Isla's beloved Grandmother Goo-Pah. I just LOVED her and her craziness LOL

But there is something between them. Something that started off as friendship in book 1 that got tangled in the mess of his ex. That despite the words and the dislike for one another, something that connected them to each other in more than just a physical attraction sense. The trust the blooms between them is beautiful, the things that neither have experienced with anyone before—the simple touches, the kind words, the feeling of self-worth—made me want to cry because of how they were both treated by their exes in the past and how it just meant so much to come from one another despite the deceptions, despite the lies... there was something so much more between them... the love.

Isla gives color to Jessie's life and conversely Jessie helps her truly live. I loved this book. Once I started, I couldn't read fast enough. The enemies to lovers angsty foreplay played out so well and I am just IN LOVE with all of Rachel's words. Another gem from RVD that is a must-read in my book. <3
