I loved Jessie and Isla! Isla has damaged his reputation by accusing him of cheating when his ex-wife was the one cheating. Jessie is determined to take down Isla and her PI business. These two fight constantly and her Goo-poh plays a hand at matchmaking and babymaking! Her special "tea" was a hilarious part of this book! Jessie's black and white world is infused with color by this woman who loves touching him and being touched by him. This is a must read! 5 stars

I swear every review I write, I start off by saying that the trope is my favorite kind. And it is every time I read a new romance. But book gods give me enemies to lovers romances because the TENSION, the DRAMA, it gives me LIFE! I need the first in this series to truly garner the level of animosity that started between our hero and heroine but trust me you can read this as a standalone.

Isla is on point when it comes to her business, Dirty Exes.Revealing cheaters and saving women;s lives is her forte. But one mistake, that any PI could've made, is risking her whole career. A disgruntled ex-husband, and ex-NFL player (which means hottie!), is on her back and determined to prove that she's somehow a fraud. But the whirled wind that is Jessie's ex-wife puts them in a paparazzi circumstance they can't escape. And now the plan takes a crazy turn; they have a fake marriage to arrange....to one another! But they're more than mortal enemies, they used to be friends and now they're in a forced proximity and only have one another to trust when all their secrets are revealed.

Jessie hasn't had control of his life in years. After and ex-wife that never truly loved him and dragged his name through the dirt, he's determined to live life the way he's always wanted. And right now that includes taking down the other woman who ruin his good name. Isla may be sexy and sassy but Jessie believes there's a snake beneath that beautiful cover. Now stuck in a sham marriage to keep up for appearance sake, Jessie finds himself in one hell of a predicament. He's attracted to Isla, and not just her body, her mind, and the fact that her world is full of COLOR. She bursts through his barriers faster than anyone he's ever met and he's got one final secret that could ruin everything they've built.

This romance is hot as can be!! The explosive chemistry between Isla and Jessie just jumps off the page. There are moments of slow burn and once it combusts, readers will feel so triumphant that they finally succumb to their desires. I loved Jessie's black and white world seeping in to color as Isla burrows beneath his skin and breaks all his misconceptions about her. Fighting to find their happy ever after in a world of chaos this new romance is my latest 5 star read!

Rachel Van Dyken is a fabulous author and Dangerous Exes is no exception. This book two in the series and is the story of Jesse Beckett, ex NFL superstar and gorgeous bachelor. Dirty Exes is a PI firm co-owned by Blaire and Isla, who were both treated badly by their exes, thus the name of their company. When they are hired by Jesse's ex-wife to take down him down, they ruin his squeaky clean reputation in the process. Jesse is not going to taking it laying down and starts a vendetta against the firm and specifically Isla, who he blames for his tarnished reputation. What starts are hatred turns to attraction, but Jesse still plans to ruin Dirty Exes, like they ruined him. There is lots of funny banter, retribution and sexual angst to keep you enthralled from start to finish. It's a great read and I highly recommend Dangerous Exes.

4.5☆
I loved Dirty Exes and I loved Dangerous Exes! Jessie is in a really tough spot and I really felt for him in the previous book. He doesn't start off on the best foot and really wants revenge. However what he gets is so much more. He has lived his life in black and white and Isla is just pure color. He doesn't feel like he has really lived and was really controlled and molded by his ex.
I just adore Isla and really enjoyed her and all her highlighting and labeling. Her and Jessie have more in common than they think. I really loved seeing how much they both brought out so much in each other. Jessie especially really evolves over the course of the book and I loved it!
Some if the best parts came courtesy of Isla's aunt and all her crazy, she brought so much humor to the story. I was so engrossed with these two and I just adore them both!
*I chose to review an early copy*

I truly enjoyed every moment of Dangerous Exes! After reading the first book, Dirty Exes, I just could not get enough and have wondered about Jessie and Isla.

Friends to enemies to lovers is the name of this game and Jessie and Isla completely nailed it. The banter between to two of them was hilarious, even though Jessie was out to destroy Isla and her company. I loved the give and take between Jessie and Isla and the sexual chemistry/tension was off the charts.

Everything about this story was a win for me! From Jessie and Isla’s relationship, to seeing Colin and Blaire again, and meeting Goo-Pah, this book had everything and more. Dangerous Exes had me laughing and smiling while I read the entire book!

A war waged by an ex-athlete, still recovering from the fallout of lies and bitterness his ex leveled at him, drives him to the edge of insanity and to a sweet and sexy journey to HEA for readers in this charming rom-com. As his battle for revenge brings him closer to the woman he’s sworn to ruin, he finds himself growing ever closer to the woman who seems to be his exact opposite. Love knows no bounds though as their fake engagement soon brings real feelings to the surface and has them embracing a life full of color and love.

Jessie Beckett was dragged through the mud during, and throughout the ending, of his marriage to his best friend’s sister. Her lies and need to be in the spotlight left his reputation in shreds. Angry at her, but more so at the PI company that assisted her in defaming him, he concocts a plan to ruin the woman he blames for everything...Isla. He has a complicated connection to Isla though, one of unrequited feelings from the past and an attraction that’s becoming harder to ignore. When he and Isla are caught in a compromising position the only answer to save them both is a fake engagement that quickly intensifies. Just when HEA seems within reach a decision he once made in anger comes back to tear his heart from his chest and leaves him desperate to make amends. Jessie’s a drool-worthy hero who’s understandably anger over being betrayed by the one woman he never thought he was worthy of. It turned out to be a marriage where he was never loved for himself, a marriage where he constantly had to change for her, and a marriage full of loneliness which demoralized him as a man. I ached for all his ex put him through, but his feelings of revenge towards Isla was way over-the-top as he camped out on her doorstep to intimidate her every day. As a catalyst for bringing them together though, it was an intriguing one as their daily encounters were sizzling. As their fake engagement brought them closer together Jessie showed himself to be a true romantic. Through his words and deeds he gives Isla the self-worth that her ex tore from her. After the heartbreak his ex left him with he closed himself off, became distrustful in a life lacking in color. Being with Isla brings color and light to his life and you can see his heart growing bigger every moment he’s with her, just like the Grinch’s heart. With each turn of the page Jessie won me over. From his blatant and subtle words and deeds, he radiated his growing feelings for Isla. His attempt to make amends had him employing a secret weapon, Isla’s aunt Goo-Poh, which endeared him to me even more and showed just how far he’s willing to go to be worthy of her.

Isla Turner has her own past of heartbreak caused by an ex who repeatedly cheated on her and took everything from her when he left, both financial and emotional. She started her PI company as a way to regain her self-esteem and to keep other women from feeling as betrayed as she does. She defines herself by this company now which is why Jessie’s attempts to ruin it feel so personal and why their relationship is so combustible. Isla’s a strong-willed heroine who lives a life full of schedules and facts and you’d assume that would lead to her views being only black and white, but Isla surrounds herself with color. For far too long she let her ex keep her in the background, but now she makes her presence known and like a bull tempted by red, Jessie’s tempted by the endless array of colors she surrounds herself with. Isla kept her heart closely guarded throughout most of the story, but when she finally gave it into Jessie’s keeping I cheered as he was more than worthy of it. Isla’s the kind of heroine who gave as good as she got, loyal to her friends and more than ready to fight for those she cares about. She’s quite capable of making it on her own, but having Jessie’s support empowered her even more. Being with him had her embracing her femininity too and I enjoyed their erotically-charged encounters both in and out of the bedroom.

Throughout this story Isla and Jessie showed themselves to be a formidable couple, teeming with sensuality and witty banter that felt like endless foreplay. They both gave exactly what the other needed, strong yet silent support that made their lives richer and made their HEA all the more satisfying. From the first page to the last this was a story that captivated me. From its immensely likable main couple, to their crackling connection that brought a smile to my face, this is a story that charms and warms the heart. From sweet interludes of heartfelt talks, to scorching encounters that burn up the pages, this story had me rooting for HEA every step of the way. Along with this likable main couple, readers got to reconnect with the main couple from the previous book in this series and they were a funny yet solid support to this couple on their journey to HEA. There was one character that stood out above all others...and that was Isla’s colorful and strong-willed Aunt Goo-Poh. She was a commanding presence, both at the nursing home and in the outside world, a tiny bundle of energy who used ancient Chinese traditions to bring Isla and Jessie together...sometimes with hilarious results but always with love. With this delightful romance Ms. Van Dyken has crafted yet another winner that I highly recommend to readers.

Another fantastic book by Rachel! It’s such a love/hate relationship that will keep you laughing and guessing. Rachel can make you fall in love with some of the worst people because her writing is just so amazing! Perfect addition to Dirty series!

I love Rachel Van Dyken and I love this series! Jessie is angry and hurt and feels like it is all Isla’s fault that he lost everything. Isla doesn’t back down from anything Jessie throws at her and gives it right back. It had me laughing and rooting for them. They are at war with each other but they can’t fight the attraction building either. Book given to me by author on netgalley!

I have read Dirty Exes (book 1 ) in the series, so book 2 coming along had a lot to live up to and i can easily say this book did not disappoint at all. An enemies to lovers romance story is always a hot choice of mine, and this one was hot and sexy and amazingly very funny in places. There was the perfect blend of angst with witty banter. I loved seeing how two enjoyable characters in book 1 get their story to develop in a way that had me hooked and not wanting to put the book down. Kind of got a serious book hangover right now i therefore cannot wait for more from this series when they arrive

This was classic RvD. There were parts that were laugh out loud funny, parts that were steamy, and parts that ...... had me shaking my head.

Let me start off with saying that I love the classic slow burn enemies to lovers story. And while yes, we did get a glimpse of them being friends in the first book, I don't feel it necessary to have read in order to enjoy this one. While there is some definite "Throwback" to the first, I feel enough "backstory" is given as well that it makes this story easy to follow.

However Isla and Jessie fell flat. To begin with, I feel like he "caught feelings" entirely way too soon which was out of character for someone that burned (both by his ex and by Isla's company). When they fight, its great. When they compromise, it's amazing. The in. between? Ehhhhhhhh.

Goo-Pah is a stand out character, but what she is not is another Grandma Nadine. Where Nadine was funny, Goo-Pah is creepy. Delivering chickens and marriage beds along with what is basically date rape tea? Not cool. No wonder Isla has such a hard time dating. Any sane man would definitely be scared off. Ok...ok.. let me clarify. The date rape tea is and isn't exactly what you think. It's made to enhance certain things (think Viagra but in tea form) but Isla doesn't spike his drink. In fact, he makes it willingly, but he THINKS it will cure his headache, and Isla is all too happy to reap the benefits of it. So to me... to-MA-to... to-ma-TO.... same thing just worded differently.

I feel like while this was for the most part a funny, and cute read, there was too much that didn't add up. A fake engagement is one thing. A fake pregnancy? Maybe not something that should be joked about.

All things considered I'm sure there are a number of people who will enjoy this story, and some that will not. I would read more from this author.

I absolutely love this new series by Rachel Van Dyken! Dangerous Exes is a brilliantly hilarious enemies to lovers romance. I love the banter between Isla and Jessie! The sexual chemistry between the two jumped off the pages. And, OMG, Goo-Poh was a hoot!!

I loved everything about this book! Isla is the perfect splash of color in Jessie’s black and white. I loved the crazy journey we are taken on as these two find out how perfect they are for one another.

This is a book – a series – you do not want to miss out on! I cannot wait to see what Rachel Van Dyken has in store next.

**Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for an advanced copy of this book**

Oh my gosh goopah is my new favorite character, between Ceremonial Chickens, a dragon bed, and “headache” tea this book had me rolling with laughter. Isla’s story was great I couldn’t put the book down. I loves how Rachel didn’t leave out the characters from the first book, she made sure everyone was in it so we could continue to see how they were doing. I love that about Rachel’s writing it just gets better and better!

Dangerous Exes is a work of true brilliance, Jessie and Isla’s relationships shines through the pages of Rachel Van Dyken’s new release. Determined to end Isla’s business is Jessie’s mission, getting mixed into a fake relationship is not what he had in mind. Isla trying to help Jessie get back what he’s lost after his crazy ex made him look like the back guy. Posing for the cameras, and faking a relations came make all the bad press go away, but what happens when the fake relationship turns real? I completely fell in love with this story line, Isla is headstrong, determined and Jessie is strong and lovable. Let’s not forget to mention Goo-Poh the comedic relief and the true depiction on how family members act (seriously she is priceless). This book is a MUST read, that you will not be able to put down!

To say that Jessie is mad at Isla would be an understatement. His life is all screwed up because of her and her business. So he takes it upon himself to ruin her like she ruined him. But of course, in order to ruin her he must get close to her. And in getting close to her, he starts to fall for her.

Isla was only doing her job. But now that it’s over she’s made one heck of an enemy. A super sexy enemy. But if she can hold on to her wits and work with him, maybe things will get back to the way they were before. But we all know how THAT goes.

This was a classic enemies to lovers with a bit of silliness tossed in. They both made mistakes but it was fun to watch them, with the help of some crazy characters, find a way to work things out.

Such a great book. I absolutely love Jessie and Isla's story. Love that Collin and Blair were such a big part in it. Have to say my fav is Goo-Poh that old lady cracks me up. Loved the story line and how they start by trying to drive each other insane. Just loved the book all the way around. A great read as always from the amazing Rachel Van Dyken.

Isla and Jessie had been dancing around each other for too long. They were mortal enemies and were trying to destroy one another, but there was something growing between them and I don't know how aware of this they were.

Problems seem to be following them and they soon realize that the only way to solve them and survive is to work together. But how far are they willing to go, and what happens when they find out that they are not so incompatible after all.

Isla has been hurt in the past and that has pushed her to become the woman she is now, it has helped her create a business to help people like her, who had been deceived by the one they love.

Jessie has been trapped in an toxic relationship that has pushed him to isolate himself and build his world in a way that makes him feel in control. He has lost himself so much that he doesn't even remember who he is.
Isla is disturbing everything about his life but in a way she is also showing him that there's nothing to be afraid of, a little passion in your life can go a long way.

When two people so strong willed and intense get together they can either destroy each other or turn up the heat!

I loved the first book in this standalone series, Dirty Exes, so couldn’t wait to read the next crazy adventure of the women of Dirty Exes PI company. Now we get more of Jessie and Isla’s story after the mistakes they made in the last book. Jessie wants revenge and Isla hates that Jessie is stalking her, but they may have some trouble hanging onto their anger. The verbal sparring while trying to fight off their physical chemistry had these two wound so tight and off balance, it made for some entertaining reading. Add in Goo-Poh (Isla’s Aunt), who just might be my fave character ever, and you have an incredibly funny and enjoyable RomCom!

Jessie is a man on a mission. He believes that Isla and Dirty Exes, the PI company that she owns with her best friend, are responsible for the damage they have done to his reputation. The last thing he needs is the backlash he is facing now especially since it was their mistake. He is determined that she will face the same scrutiny that he is, so she knows exactly the damage she has done.

Isla regrets what happened with Jessie, but she doesn’t know how to fix it. What she does know is that she doesn’t need him following her around and destroying her business. She soon finds out it is a lot more fun to do the following then to be followed.

Before they know it the chemistry between them ignites and now they have a bigger problem on their hands. A fake relationship seems like the perfect solution what could possibly go wrong?

This is an enemies to lovers story which is full of humorous banter and hot chemistry. They have both been hurt in the past and do not trust easily but sometimes when you open your heart magic can happen. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I love this series. The humor, chemistry, characters are just fabulous. I really connected with these characters and the way this story was written and flowed. Isla and Jessie are perfect together. They both have been through the wringer in the love department and have resorted to controlling all other aspects of their lives to protect themselves from any future hurt. Now, Jessie, is out for revenge, he sees Isla as the one that destroyed his career by taking on his ex-wife as a client to prove he cheated when really, his ex was the cheater. Isla feels bad that this happened to Jessie and that she was wrong about his ex. As the move forward with a plan to fix Jessie’s image, they end up engaged and living together. Now, having Isla burst into Jessie’s all white world was just fun. She is able to get under his skin and truly get him to be himself. Add in Goo-Poh, Isla’s grandmother, and well, I just never knew what to expect next. I didn’t want to put this book down. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
