**My thanks to Netgalley and the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
This is the very last novella in the series and it certainly delivers in all the best ways.
We have kidnapping, marriage, a baby, betrayal, a big ass fight, rescue, survival and much more all brought together to give us the final ending of this series.
We get to see a little of Liam in this book too which is also nice and we get to see more of some older characters too.
I really enjoyed this series and would be more than happy to get a few new novella's in Drago's other land to see how they are getting on.
Planet Dragos is a great chance to revisit with some of my favorite characters, Dragos and Pia! It was lovely to see how their relationship has grown and their family expanding!
I love Dragos and the world Thea Harrison has created with the Elder Races. They are my favorite couple and I love that she still gives us slices of their life. Planet Drago checks all the fun, sexy, snarky supernatural boxes!
Pia and Dragos are pretty much my favorite characters in the Elder Races world. I knew before I ever started reading Planet Dragosthis was the final story for Dragos and Pia's point of view, and I really did try to make the story last as long as possible, which sadly wasn't long enough.
I love there is always and adventure when Pia and Dragos are together and Planet Dragoswas no different. Dragos must do anything and everything within his powers to rescue Pia before she gives birth to their new baby when he has no idea who has taken her or why. I loved seeing his teamwork with anyone necessary to find Pia.
Planet Dragoswas such a wonderful story. Fans got to see Pia and Dragos acting pretty much how they have from the moment we first met them and they met each other. I laughed so many times at the banter and antics of these characters and loved every moment. The fact that we had time with Rune and Carling made me pretty happy too. Of course no story that involves Pia and Dragos would be complete without meeting their new baby and having their oldest Liam be part of the story. While I'll miss stories from Dragos and Pia's point of view in the future, I love stories about all the other Elder Races as well and look forward to more stories from Ms. Harrison.

Pia and Dragos are at odds. Her pregnancy is hard on both of them. But will a threat to Pia leave Dragos alone with only words of anger between them?
Planet Dragos is book 9.8 in Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series. I really enjoyed returning to this world Ms. Harrison has created. I also enjoyed seeing this world from Pia and Dragos’ perspective. I loved that Ms. Harrison continues to allow us a peak into the work necessary after her characters reach their happily ever after. I love that both Dragos and Pia are still learning the art of compromise even as their love flourishes. Danger continues to stalk this couple, but I love seeing them and their friends fight for their happiness.
This story by Ms. Harrison is a well written quick read. It is full of twists and turns even as it is clear that Pia and Dragos’ love has grown and their relationship is strong. I can’t wait to see where Ms. Harrison will take us next as Pia and Dragos find a new focus.
This is a great paranormal romance book. The Elder Tace story continues and Pia has her baby. I love these well written Dragon books in this series. Definitely a must read!
*I am voluntarily reviewing this book via Netgalley.
When we last left Pia and Dragos they were excited about the upcoming baby. A lot has change in the world of man. Super natural being are seen as sometime a threat to man. Politian change their mind as much as the wind blows and Dragos see a change in the wind for his people. Pia excited about the wedding of Rue and Cali in Vegas but so over the her second child pregnancy. While in Vegas she see a man that look a lot like her husband. It turn out this man is even more dangerous than her husband. What to do when death come a calling. This was a bittersweet ending to a wonder world of dragos and unicorn with problem of man. I enjoy being surprise how well MS Harrison was able to tie all the lose end in his series while giving us a great story. Book was too short read it all night and was late for work the next morning. What a wonderful end to a very good series.
Another good Elder Race story. Ms. Harrison has done a solid job on the plot. I so love reading about Pia and Dragos.
I admit that I haven't actually read any of the previous Elder Races stories, but after this introduction, I'd definitely like to check them out!
This was a short story with lots of twists and turns, quirky characters, and unique families. It occurs at a pivotal time in the Elder Race history, so every decision could have dire consequences. The main story is about Pia and Dragos. Pia is pregnant and is is very difficult on her. Some combination of paranormal elements has come together to put a serious strain on her life and relationship. On this trip to Vegas, which should be a celebration, it quickly takes a turn for the worse.
Turns out, Dragos has a secret brother, who also happens to be a paranormal with a bad rep. Oh, and there's kidnapping, and more kidnapping, and really powerful paranormals freaking out all over the place. We get a quick introduction to how each character handles a crisis and it isn't all good. Ultimately, we get some resolution (kind-of) but a definite step into a promising future. As I said, this novella really did what I guess they should - deliver just enough to make you want more.
I very much enjoyed this novel! Having not read any of the previous stories this was a little confusing in that I didn't know some of the past situations and people, but was still a really great story. I liked Pia and Dragos' relationship and I liked all of the crazy that surrounded them. It was a good way to get nudged into reading the rest of this series, and a good introduction to a new author.
All is not well between Dragos and Pia at the start of the story, mainly due to Pia's difficult pregnancy and Dragos overbearing attitude. Things get worse when Pia is kidnapped at Rune's and Carlings wedding, which is taking place in Las Vegas. A bad situation is complicated by a mysterious character called Death and the crazy actions of the kidnapper. The upside, most of the past Wyr characters make an appearance in the fight to save Pia. As usual, moments in the book were full of tension, hope and adventure.
It was great to find out how all the plot lines were resolved, plus the birth of another Wry baby was a lovely highlight. Whilst I will miss the Dragos and Pia stories, I am exited to find out where this series will go. A great read.
Pia and Dragos are still two of my favourite romance characters - I re-read their story often. In the continuation of their story, we see more of the mundance aspects of marriage... the struggles of pregnancy on both parties, hormones, misunderstandings, hurt feelings and devotion. I enjoyed the length, because honestly there wasn't a lot more you could add to this. It was more the story of Pia's difficult time (which I did enjoy, and all ladies to a certain extent can empathize with) and the changes to their evolving marriage. It was sweet, but in my opinion unnecessary.
This is the last book from Dragos and Pia’s POV which completely breaks my heart. Dragos is who I hold all dragon heroes up to and very few can measure up. In perfect dragon fashion he is extremely confident in himself (some would say conceited), alpha through and through, commanding, and growly (but in a super hot way). He’s the epitome of the dominant male. The best part of Dragos, though, is that when he turns all his attention on his mate, he can be so tender, sweet, and almost achingly sexy, it will bring a tear to your eye. He loves his Pia and he knows how to show her just how beautiful and needed she is. So yeah, I’m going to miss getting stories with his POV in it because he pushes all my buttons in a very good way.
And I’ll miss Pia too. She’s the polar opposite of Dragos in every way, starting with the fact her were-form is a freaking unicorn, but she could not be more perfect for him. She needs a dragon to keep her safe since if anyone found out what she really was she’d be hunted down and killed because of what her blood can do. In Planet Dragos, Pia showed us exactly why she was deserving of such a dangerous but wonderful dragon and why you should never, ever, ever piss off a pacifist to the point of violence…it doesn’t end well for the other guy.
This story had lots of action and suspense to keep me entertained. You’d think after so many eons, people would know to never poke the dragon, especially not by going after his mate…his very pregnant mate. It’s bad enough his roar alone could bring Vegas to its knees with all the damage caused, but if truly enraged, Dragos could actually destroy the world. Dragos was in his element here and showed everyone he may be mated with children but that did not mean he was tamed by any stretch of the imagination.
One of my favorite parts was that we got to see so much of Rune and Carling, especially the caring, loving part of Carling as she and Pia faced impossible odds together. As this isn’t the last of the Elder Races books, plus it looks like we may get to explore a whole new world along with the old one, I’m hoping we will get lots of glimpses of Dragos, Pia, and of course, the adorable little Stinkpot, the newest member of the family.
It was hard to say goodbye, but I’m glad I got to do it with such a sweet, sexy, action-packed and suspenseful book.
Rating: 5 “I ❤ Dragos” Stars
A nice way to see Pia and Dragos off to a new life. There is a lot of danger at first and then a lot of thinking about change as the story progresses. Good story for fans of the Elder Races series.
I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.
Planet Dragos is a thrilling and fantastic send off to Dragos and Pia as some exciting events take place and brings about major changes to their world.
As always the characters of the Elder Races universe are strong, bold and easily draw readers in and hold them hostage until the very end. In Planet Dragos, we meet up with Dragos, Pia and friends as well as meet some new characters, one of whom is Death which adds quite a bit of excitement and chilling anticipation to the story. There is never a dull moment in this fast paced story which full of thrills and suspense which keeps readers on the edge and since most of those events are life altering continuously builds a sense of nail-biting anticipation throughout the story as well.
The Elder Races series is exciting and full of wonderful characters that constantly surprise readers and brings them lots of enjoyment and I have to say that Pia and Dragos favorites of readers everywhere including me, so I was quite thrilled with this book and I found it to be quite energetic and exhilarating from start to finish. And while I am disappointed about one of the decisions that Dragos and Pia made (sorry no spoilers), I am also looking forward to finding out what Thea Harrison has in store for us readers next.
4.5 stars--PLANET DRAGOS by Thea Harrison follows Dragos and, a very pregnant and grumpy Pia as they venture to Vegas for Rune and Carling’s wedding. Not only does Dragos have business to attend but ‘Death’s’ appearance pulls Pia onto the Vegas strip where she is no longer safe within the shelter of her mate. Kidnapped but not alone Pia will come face to face with an unknown enemy hoping to destroy all that is Dragos and the Elder Races.
PLANET DRAGOS reveals upcoming changes for the Elder Races and the New York Demesne as Thea Harrison says good-bye, for now, to our leading couple. There are new leaders and players on the horizon but time and experience will be a necessary trial. The story line brings together and revisits with a number of characters introduced throughout the series as well as those featured in the Elder Race’s novellas. A quick read with an engrossing premise PLANET DRAGOS is a dramatic, reflective and passionate story line as we say a temporary good-bye to our reigning couple.

Thea Harrison has done it again., written a fantastic novella about Dragos and Pia. In Planet Dragos, Pia and Dragos go to Las Vegas to attend Rune and Carling's wedding and the chaos has just begun. A wonderful end? to reading about this pair (I hope we hear some reports). Highly recommended. I would recommend reading the other books in the series to fully appreciate this novella.
Change is in the air. It's not just the unexpected acrimony between Pia and Drago while they're dealing with her current pregnancy. Drago's reluctance to discuss the identity of the performer advertised on a billboard who bears an uncanny resemblance to Drago has Pia's instincts humming causing her to rush off to investigate on her own only to find that the person is question is "Death". Who is going to die? What great change is in the wind necessitating Death's presence? This cleverly written novella starring Pia and Drago bring together a lot of the characters from the Elder Race series that are fan favorites. Everyone is assembled in Vegas to celebrate Rune and Carling's wedding but there are a lot of undercurrents that are set to derail events in a big way. Death's presence on the scene at various tense moments keeps readers on the edge and guessing.
Drago loses his sh**t when he finds out that Pia has disappeared and magic is obscuring her trail. The great beast has changed however and adapted to the modern times as evidenced by how he uses social media and cell phone footage to appeal to the people of Las Vegas to help him locate his wife.
Shortly after Rune finds that Carling has disappeared as well, kidnapped from her suite and if the picture he's sent as proof of life indicates been starved off blood. Put in the same cell with Pia will Carling be able to control her blood lust?
I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between Pia the angel of death especially when she taunts him into being useful and bringing in hot water and supplies when its clear that she's going to birth her son in captivity. **** Spoiler Alert******** It's clear once Drago and Pia find that their son is a unicorn like Pia they will need to make significant changes to their life style. I wonder how the author will drive this story forward.......
This was a cute novella finishing up Dragos and Pia's story. I felt like there was too much in plot for a novella though. The kidnapping plot felt rushed and then the back half of the story felt rushed as well. I would have liked to see either one of them as the novella or both of them as part of a full length book.
4 1/2 Star Review....
Lovers of this fabulous series by Thea Harrison and her equally captivating characters Pia and Dragos, are in for a treat! This is another fill-in novella that brings readers up to date on the happenings of our favourite couple, and finds the very pregnant Pia grumpy and lacking in confidence. I’m not going to elaborate on the plot, but simply say it’s another MUST read!
