I had a hard time getting in to this novel. Perhaps I'm just feeling too distracted as of late, but the novel was slow, and the continuous attention focused on aging left me feeling lifeless, not curious to learn more about 69-year-old Professor Fred Lothian who has recently moved to a retirement center.
