I thought this was an interesting romance. It deals with an age-gap, grief and berevement, professional boundaries, disabilities and homophobia, and manages to hold all these different aspects together in a very seamless way.
The story is both hopeful and romantic and I thought the characters were interesting. It was a good read, bearing in mind that it is a novella but in some ways it felt a bit clunky. It is worth reading if you are looking for a short read with angst which isn't too over powering.

Adrian’s Scar by author Martin Delacroix, this story has a ton of issues. The central problem that causes the rest of the problems to happen is this book needed to be slower, less sex and more focus on the story. If that had happened this story would not feel so disjointed and mushed together. The premise is very good, the character needs more fleshing out, but they have the bones of good characters. Nice arc to this book too.
Kai, his lover died. He is burying himself in work to forget. As for what kind of person is he? Well other than really in need of sex and immature that is all I know. He needed far more substance and storyline.
Adrian was the saving grace to this story. He has a good arc going. He has a disability, he has a homophobic mother to deal with. So many challenges but he still retains a bratty attitude that was somehow just off-putting.
This story is about accepting grief learning to move on from that, and also accepting yourself just as you are. While the main core of the story is good, the rest makes this a story I wished I skipped. Just riddled with problems.

I really liked this books story my only problem with it was the pacing, it moved way too fast. Kai and Adrian meet in one chapter and it seems as if they are moving in together in the next. The book moved at a pace that didn’t give you time to really know the characters and whey they are attracted to one another, Overall a good book but it just needed to move a little slower
So... this one is a bit hard for me to review.. it was a good story.. i enjoyed the storyline. but in all honesty it felt like i was being told something.. like a textbook type of telling.. not like a story that i was a part of. I really liked the plot and the characters but the writing style wasn't my favorite.. but i did enjoy the story so that was a total plus
I really enjoyed this short read, the writing was good, with great characters and a story that held my interest moving along nicely from beginning to end.
