I am reviewing a copy of Inspiring Poems For My Soul through First Edition Design Press and Netgalley:


Poets have a way of taking you places that not many others can. Often in just a matter of a few lines they can take you on a life changing, soul touching journey, and some poets can even broaden the way you think.


From love, life to believing in yourself Will Shelton covers it all. Not only are the joys covered in this collection but so are the hard places of life.


I give Inspiring Poems From Soul five out of five stars!

I am sure Mr. Shelton put much thought and time in his poems. I admire his commitment to God, his family and his country, and his willingness to "put himself out there". However, I didn't enjoy this collection of poems. I didn't like all the rhyming, or having the first letter of the lines of the poem spell out the title of the poem. Rather than clever, it felt false and contrived.

This book just wasn't for me. My thanks and appreciation to NetGalley and First Edition Design Publishing for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an unbiased review.
