The author’s heartwarming biography of his father, Ted McDermott, as he slowly loses his memories to Alzheimer’s. Ted’s love of music and singing can not be stolen by this terrible disease. He may not remember faces or names, but he can still sing all of the lyrics to his favorite songs in tune. In those moments, Simon has his father back. I thought the writing needed some polish, but that didn’t take away from the obvious love and admiration Simon has for his father as he must slowly let him go.
