This is a fun book which I am still enjoying. It contains interesting activities and I recommend it for anyone who loves a mystery.
This was a quick read. Pretty interesting if you're into this sort of thing but not particularly memorable.
This book was a lot of fun to go through and try and solve all the puzzles. I always have fun trying to solve things, of course there were some I couldn't but that seems to be how it goes for me a lot in puzzle books.
Great puzzles. Quick to work but mind stimulating. Any fan of Sherlock Holmes would enjoy these puzzles.
An entertaining collection of Sherlock inspired puzzles and trick questions. I found that the book would best be suited for a group of people. It would definitely make a nice addition to family game night, or a night in with some friends. I will definitely be recommending it to a handful of my Sherlock loving friends, or anyone who is a fan of the classic "Whodunit" collections.
A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I truly appreciate it!
This has a nice variety of logic puzzles although I don't know if they really needed the Sherlock Holmes angle. Still, I enjoyed them and used the answer key often enough that they weren't too easy.
Great fun and creative -- this is a wonderful puzzle book -- it is perfect --we enjoyed it. The design is great and if you enjoy Sherlock Holmes mysteries this is a fun book.
Fun brain teasers that really challenge you. Some were very logical and some were just bizarre. Thankfully the answers are included because I was stumped on over half of them.
Puzzles worthy of the great Sherlock Homes. Who could ask for more? And that is exactly why I chose this book, purely for the Sherlock Homes connection. I found a good collection of puzzle of different types. This was fun for a few puzzles but soon became boring because the puzzles were too easy to solve. This would probably be great for a tweens project with a puzzle a day to solve.
A fun little book for a spot when one wants a little intellectual stimulation but doesn't want to get, like, deep into something - I imagine the best use of this volume is a vacation cabin or beach house shared with friends. A challenging, but not frustrating, good time.
Fun, quick reads, a different mystery each chapter and although this isn't a book I would normally pick up, it is a good one.
Nice puzzle book that reminded me of some of the little mystery puzzle books I read as a kid. Some of the puzzles are clever riddles that require thought but aren't impossible. I had fun going through the entire book and can see this being a fun challenge for older kids/young teenagers who want to test their brain power against the greatest sleuth of all time!
Really entertaining and fun book. It's an amazing activity to do with friends or family. Any fan Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie fan will definitely enjoy this.
This was a fun little brain teaser. Mostly logic and some mathematical puzzles, also some that could not be solved by a normal person (I dare to say) but where interesting. In the ebook version is a link after every puzzle that brings one to the well explained solution, and from there back or on to the next puzzle, which made for easy reading.
This is a cute book of riddles, but you've probably heard a lot of them before. Most are just plain riddles, not logic puzzles or mysteries to solve; they depend on clever wordplay or knowing some very specific setup for the answer to make sense. Some very easy, a few quite difficult, most middle of the road in terms of difficulty. I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped to mainly because I wanted more of the logic, less of the wordplay riddle.
I imagine this book would make a nice coffee table book or gift for an office gift exchange. Most people will probably find it entertaining to some degree, and it's not a big investment if they don't like it.
A bunch of math and logic problems and riddles, many of which have been knocking around for decades, with Holmes, Watson, and Mrs. Hudson's names swapped in.. A cash-in with beloved characters, when none of this has anything to do with the true characters (and often their voices are wrong). The digital mechanism, with links back and forth from question to solution, works well, but the puzzle level is middle school at best.
This is a fairly large collection of riddles set against the backdrop of Sherlock Holmes. The puzzles range from simple to quite difficult and are all relatively short. I liked the idea behind the book, but I'd have liked to see some more original riddles and perhaps some different sorts of puzzles. I think Sherlock fans in particular will probably enjoy this for what it is, and the puzzles could be fun to do as a group activity with a younger crowd.

A very good collection of puzzles on the way of Sherlock Holmes. A great activity to try with friends or family. Amazing!
I’m a big fan of Sherlock Holmes mysteries and have the complete annotated collection in my personal library. I read and re-read Holmes and Watson mysteries often with great pleasure. When I saw this puzzle book, I knew I had to check it out.
Filled with over 130 logic puzzles, riddles, and interesting brain teasers told from the point of view of Dr. Watson, this is a treasure for mystery and puzzle lovers alike. Each puzzle has a link to the solution as well as a link to the next puzzle which makes navigating this book a breeze on any device. The puzzles range from super easy to difficult, doesn’t take more than a few minutes each and reading it is a great brain exercise.
This puzzle book reminded me of back in my youth when I devoured Encyclopedia Brown books. It’s better, though, because it’s Holmes and Watson. The age range is middle grade to adult, although I’m sure the author has geared it for adults. It’s clean so parents don’t have to worry about the content.
If you’re a Sherlock Holmes fan and looking for fun brain-teasers to read through on your commute or while you’re waiting for the kids to get out of school, pick this up right away. It would make a superb gift, too!

My Rating: 5+ stars
This book reminded me strongly of the Two Minute Mysteries that I loved to read when I was young. The puzzles are quick, and encourage you to think about things a little differently. I found it enjoyable, and a good distraction while waiting for an appointment. I would recommend this for word puzzle lovers, and people who are good at trivia.
Thanks to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
