This was another great read in this series. While reading this one, I had flashback moments of the movie "A Star is Born" with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. It just reminded me of the movie, even though they are totally different. I loved Ryan and Maisy. It was fun to read about their life on tour and being pop/rock artists.
I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.
This is such a great book! Sarah know just how to write a great pretend romance that blossom in to real love. She just know how to write a clean story but still have all the fillers in a romance book that you need. You won’t go wrong for by choosing this book to read! It will catch from the very beginning and keep engrossed until the very end!! Happy Romance Reading!! 💖
I loved this book - I instantly connected with Maisy and her band of overprotective brothers. This book had it all: swoony romance and witty dialogue!
This book was wonderful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the crazy chemistry between Ryan and Maisy during their crazy adventure together. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a bit sweetness and humor with this one-in-a-million style of romance.
I definitely look forward to reading more by Sariah Wilson!
I knew, from reading the blurb, that this was one story that I was really going to enjoy. And, enjoy it I did. New to me author, Sariah Wilson, really impressed me with the way the story flowed and with the characters that she built. Ryan and Maisy were interesting both together and apart. The only drawback that I had was Maisey and her woe-is-me attitude. There were times in the story that I wondered why Ryan put up with her and her attitude.
Ryan was the rock star that had the reputation to match his status. Both him and his label want the image changed. When he meets the one woman who had the guts to tell him like it was, he knows he met his match and may be the one who could bring him to his knees. Now to convince her to help him change his image and his music.
Maisey has one rule … never date a musician. After her father, she cannot and will not try to even trust anyone in the music industry even though she’s a musician herself. Unfortunately, her and her brothers can’t seem to make any headway in the business. That is, until one fateful night, one misplaced phone, several days of texts and a surprise appearance of the man that she could easily hate.
An offer … an agreement … Maisey’s life is changed. Now, with her brothers right beside her, she has major decisions to make. She’s not sure how to take the Ryan she has come to know and fall in love with.
This story was more than just a romance. It truly touched my heart. Maisey’s mother was the heart of this story. I give Sariah Wilson kudos for writing such a heart-breaking and intense storyline. Yes, the romance was front and center, the music and songs were beautiful but, the love that Maisey had her her mother and what she would do for her was just plain beautiful. Then, Ryan goes and steals my heart with his actions and his words. Of course, there had to be a little angst thrown in for some additional drama but, in the end, she gave us a beautiful and touching ending that truly had me smiling from ear to ear.
4 stars — Well, apparently this is going to be a theme. I LOVE so much about these books, they just delight me to no end. BUT, as with book 1, I personally did NOT like the conflict/climax and resolution. It’s so hard when you love a book so much, and then the end doesn’t work for you. How do you rate that? I’m going to err on the high side because I really did LOVE the banter and chemistry in this one, again.
I didn’t connect with Maisy quite as much as Zoe in book 1. No matter how hard Ms. Wilson tried, I just couldn’t understand her hangups with her Dad, especially to the extreme she went to. I loved her sarcastic nature, I loved her passion for her music…and I felt for her over the situation with her Mom. But her temper always kind of threw me off, and in the end her irrationality was completely unbelievable to me…especially for the length of time it took her to figure her shiznit out. It diminished her in my eyes, and we weren’t given enough time for her to build it back up. In the end she didn’t really redeem herself, and I was disappointed by the halfhearted effort she put in to apologizing. It was there, but I needed more.
Ryan was pretty sweet actually. I loved the way they bantered with one another, they made me laugh so much. I definitely felt the chemistry between the two of them, from friends to more. The whole video shoot was just heart-melting. And the song her wrote for her?? *swoon* But in the end he was kind of a pushover. He was wronged, and he deserved an apology, and he let her off the hook too easily. I mean, *he* made the grand gesture. WTF?
Really enjoyed the dynamic between Maisy and her brothers, even if they were overprotective. I love how they gave each other shit…again, they made me laugh. And I enjoyed the side story with Angie and Fox.
(from a diversity perspective, this one was just token…I marked it as diverse since Ryan is biracial, but it doesn’t come into play at all)
So yeah. Another great book with an ending that didn’t satisfy me. UGH! Such a bummer…
Moonstruck is book two in the Lovestruck series by Sariah Wilson. This is a stand alone. You do not need to have read the first book in this series in order to read this one. This was a super sweet story of love and forgiveness. Both books in this series are very enjoyable and if you are looking for a romance that doesn’t have sexy times in it, this is sure to please.
This was cute! I am also a sucker for rockstar romances, so, you know. But! I thought this was definitely one of the better written/more enjoyable ones I've read, with minimal ridiculous shenanigans and maximum enjoyable angst.
Ryan De Luna is a huge pop star. Maisy Harrison is a struggling musician in a band. After seeing Maisy's band, Ryan asks them to be his opening band for their tour. The build up to Ryan and Maisy finally kissing was great, but after that it got boring. I kept waiting for something to happen. With the main characters being so young and the lack of physical intimacy, I almost felt like this should be YA.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title.
Unfortunately, this was one I chose not to finish. My apologies for the late notice. As I don't want my low rating to appear on the site and potentially impact the choices of other readers, I wait until after a title has been published/no longer able to be downloaded.
Inadvertently, I waited much longer than intended to give feedback for this title.
I look forward to the next title through your company!
Thanks,
Laura
Maisie had one rule. She didn’t date musicians. No exceptions would be made whatsoever. Meeting her teenage crush was icing on the cake. She would be the breath of fresh air he needed to increase his creativity as an artist. She would learn to forgive and embrace everything life had to offer. Definitely a heartwarming story as they make their way together. Loved it!
I really wanted to love this book. On paper, it has all the elements I adore in a romance - it's a clean fake relationship rockstar romance. It's like my catnip! And to be fair, this isn't a terrible book. It's just let down by a strong theme of internalised misogyny.
I can handle a small cast. I can be disappointed that the promising female friendships near the start fade away, the only non-villainous females in the cast are a secondary love interest and the supportive best friend, and still get over it.
I'm really not keen on how the heroine slams the hero's fans, to his face, and is never corrected. He never stands up for them, explicitly dislikes the music he makes that they follow him for. I was uncomfortable but willing to let it slide if she showed growth or was called out on it, but that never happened. Her viewpoint stood unopposed.
I've been there, in that crowd of screaming fans. I've followed and liked and binged YouTube interviews and music videos and behind the scenes clips. I've made friends and signs and shoddy gifs. I came away from the book feeling like the main character, and the author, would look down on me for this. I have no patience for a book about a rockstar who won't defend his fans. I'm not here for girls getting called "pleeches" (plastic leeches) for daring to be pretty and scoring a meet and greet with their idol.
Listen, the rest of the romance is nice enough, but it's been weeks since I first read the word 'pleeches' and it's not clever or funny, it's just mean.
Three stars.

Sariah Wilson writes fun, swoony romances!
I loved Maisy and Ryan's story, and that it was based in the world of music after the first in the series centered around an actor.
Maisy is in a band with her brothers and they get the opportunity of a lifetime when pop star Ryan De Luna asks them to open for him on his tour.
Maisy is attracted to Ryan and likes him more and more as she gets to know him better. The problem is her number one rule is to never date a musician. Of course that rule is tested with lots of romantic sparks, humor, and friendship.
The story started just a bit slow, but by the end it became my favorite book by the author!
I absolutely loved this book! I was hooked from the first to last page! I couldn't put it down. I loved it so much I got the audible as well. Such a fun clean romance. I am in love with this series! I love the chemistry between the characters. The romance is truly swoon worthy. I love this author and always look forward to her books! Definitely check this one out!
This book was exactly what I needed. I absolutely loved it. #Moonstruck is another win for Sariah Wilson. I loved this fun, page turning story and the characters were fabulous. I quickly became a “Luna-chick”, Ryan was a great character. I loved Maisy’s brothers too. Maisy was a bit too stubborn for me but that fit her and she ended up being a great character.
#Moonstruck by Sariah Wilson was an engaging read!
If you know me, you know that I am a huge lover of rockstar romances. Through in the fact that the relationship has the characters pushing their boundaries, and deciding what they actually want out of life, and you have a must read novel!
Maisy and Ryan are definitely an interesting couple. They each have so many secrets that they are hiding from people, and yet, these secrets don't seem to get in the way all that much. Instead, they almost bring the couple even closer together. Because of the secrets, they are able to spend more time with one another, getting to know each other. They are able to open up, and talk about personal things that have taken place in their lives.
I definitely enjoyed this read from Sariah Wilson. I will definitely be picking up more of her books in the future!
4/5 Stars!
#MOONSTRUCK is another sweet romance in this series between a celebrity, this time a pop singer, and a regular gal. The story is full of sibling camaraderie, a fun group of band characters, music, some heartache, and a romance with plenty of chemistry. An overall enjoyable romance with a little sizzle and a sweet happily-ever-after.
I adored Maisy and her brothers! They are so much fun! I loved all the teasing and joking around. They're a tight group. Maisy's friend was also a riot! I loved how Maisy runs into Ryan and how they're so at odds, but there's serious romantic tension. Like the previous story, there is a ton of chemistry that you can feel between these two. I loved how Ryan's and Maisy's relationship develops and how Ryan soon is accepted by Maisy's brothers. Ryan was such a great character! Talented, gorgeous, down-to-earth, but has a softer more vulnerable side as well. I also appreciated how the social media and paparazzi felt fairly authentic, both the good and bad.
Maisy has a pretty big jaded view of musicians, even though she and her brothers are musicians and trying to make it big. It made a lot of sense how she was so wary of Ryan. I did have some issues with how dramatic she is at some points and some of the reactions she has. She came off just a little overdone and immature. I also thought her continual avoidance of her feelings got a little old. Thank goodness she redeems herself in the end and Ryan is such an awesome guy.
In the end, was it what I wished for? I enjoyed reading this and am looking forward to more in this series! If you're looking for some sweet romance with a little heat and fun characters, give this one a go.

Ryan is a pop star who has it all, but when he meets Maisy ... he is mezmorized. Maisy is in a struggling band with her brothers and just wants to make a living doing what she loves ... making music. Even though Maisy hates everything Ryan stands for in the music industry, she can't help the overwhelming feelings she has for him. So when her band ends up going on tour as Ryan's opening act, Ryan asks her to be his fake girlfriend to help clean up his image.
The premise of this book was good and it started out really good. But it became quite tiresome about how Maisy kept saying how good looking Ryan was ... I got that the first 10 times she said it. It seemed to me that she felt (all the way through the book) that she wasn't good enough for Ryan. It also would have been nice to have Ryan's POV ... at least a little bit of what was going through his head. This is just my opinion, because I see that lots of people have rated it 4 and 5 stars ... everyone has different opinions.

I have loved every Sariah Wilson book I've read. Her characters are deep and her writing continually gets better. Moonstruck is my favorite book of hers yet and I can't wait for more!!
