I am always up for a good rockstar book and this one didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed the previous novel in this series #Starstruck (which I highly recommend), but I I liked this book even more. Maizy loathes Ryan, a famous popstar, and has no qualms about letting him know upon their first encounter. Due to some family issues, she refuses to date musicians. However, as she ends up on Ryan’s tour, she realizes that there is more to him and she wonders if she should break her rule.
I liked Maizy, but I loved Ryan. He is so romantic and respectful of her beliefs (no sex before marriage) and he is definitely more mature than Maizy. He had some family issues too, but definitely handled them better than Maizy. Hence why I loved him and spent some of the novel wanting to tell her to “grow up” and face her fears and insecurities head on. Maizy has 3 over protective brothers that I find entertaining. I would mind having books about Cole and Parker.
In the beginning of the book, the two of them had some hilarious text exchanges. Towards the end of the book, there is big drama and I wanted to shake Maizy for her reaction. She allowed her insecurities get the best of her and left Ryan in a time of need, but Sariah does a great job showing how Maizy realizes her mistake and gains maturity. I just wish that all the drama occurred a little earlier in the book (it started at 90%) so that it didn’t feel as rushed. There is a neat little twist at the end that I wasn’t expecting. The book is told entirely from Maizy’s POV. I often like dual POVs, but in this case, having the POV from Maizy only is more appropriate. I do wish that there was a short little epilogue at the end. Overall, I enjoyed this sweet, clean, romance and I am really hoping that Sariah writes another book in this series
I was leaning towards 4 stars and then the whole thing with CeCe happened. Maisy went waaay over the top accusing Ryan of being like her father. I understand the shock and fear but her reactions as excessive IMO. It wasn’t like he did it on purpose or hid it from her. He was just as shocked. And then it took WEEKS for her to try and apologize. Until that point it was a lovely story with a spunky heroine.
Maisy Harrison used to be a crazy Ryan De Luna fan…when she was 14. Now that she's in her 20's? Not so much. That doesn’t stop her from going to one of his concerts with her best friend because that BFF is crazy about Ryan. When she meets Ryan back stage, Maisy isn’t impressed and even tells him off a bit when he gets cocky. The next day she realizes that she can't find her phone so she calls it via her brother’s phone. Finally someone answers her texts and she starts to have a conversation with Ryan’s cousin, Diego, who was the one who had taken a picture using the phone the previous night. They have great conversations and when she tells him where her band (the one she has with her three brothers) is playing a gig, he says he’ll be there. Maisy’s shocked when she finds out that it wasn’t Diego she was texting, but Ryan. Not only that, Ryan liked her band’s sound so well he then asks them to be his opening act on his current tour.
Maisy and her brothers are thrilled that they are getting notice on the tour, but touring with Ryan is hell on Maisy. She realizes that Ryan’s not the arrogant ass she thought him to be, and she’s crazy attracted to him. She doesn’t want to start anything with him that might jeopardize her band’s standing on the tour. Ryan makes it hard to stay away from him, however, because he actually pays Maisy to be his fake girlfriend so that he can look better in his record producer’s eyes. When Ryan wants to make their fake relationship real, Maisy is so tempted but her number one rule is: no dating musicians.
This was a pretty cute book. I liked the first book in this series so when I saw this one was coming out I jumped on it. I’m glad I did, as it was a fun book to read.
Maisy’s dad was a musician and a huge player and liked to get women pregnant…constantly. He hurt Maisy’s mom horribly which caused lasting damage to the family. Maisy and her brothers basically grew up without a father and while they each inherited musical ability from him, they wanted nothing else to do with the man once they were adults. Because of how her father was with women and children Maisy decided that dating musicians was out of the question. Until she got to know Ryan she never had a problem sticking to that rule. Once she became close with Ryan it was almost impossible not to see him for the wonderful guy he was.
Ryan was a pretty cool guy. Yeah, he’d been an ass in younger years but he’d grown up and wanted different things in life than he'd wanted previously. Unfortunately the record producers just saw him as a pop singer and when he wanted to possibly change his music up, they didn’t agree. I think they saw him as immature and not able to make his own decisions despite the fact that I think he was 27 years old. Crazy. Maisy helped him in other ways besides being his fake girlfriend and the pair grew throughout the story both individually and in their relationship.
The conflict in the story was a bit too drawn out for my liking. I understood it but thought that it could have been resolved more quickly than it was. Despite that issue liked the story overall.
Rating: 3.75 out of 5

I LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down, as much love for this as #starstruck! I fell in love with the characters and loved the angst that was between them. I want to go read it again!
Another winning story based around music from Sariah Wilson. I thoroughly enjoyed Moonstruck and the stubborn Maisy. She was both talented and down to earth. In the beginning, I was sure the story was going to go another direction and I was super happy when it went the way it did. The supporting character were delightful and definitely added to the story in a good way. The texting in the story was a cute addition. I loved that it was not overdone and was happy it ended when and the way it did.
I absolutely loved this book! This was a enjoyable lighthearted romance with little angst. Loved the characters, found them to be believable. This is what a romance should be.
What a sweet, lovely book. I loved very much, specially Ryan. He´s the worthy swoony kind of guy.
He knew from the very start what he liked, and he went for it. It´s alwyas beautiful to see a guy who doesn´t pley games and know what he wants.
I felt like the baby part was totally unnecessary and I think it was a much better solution for the baby father to be Diego rather than Ryan´s father.
But, take this out of the way, and I loved this book very much.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I was granted a copy of the book via NetGalley. This was my first book from the author!
Another one rock star romance. This genre is starting to really grown on me!! Ryan De Luca is a rock/pop star, widely famous. Maisy Harrison, is a nobody in the music industry; she has a band with her brothers.
Maisy is seriously against dating musicians, after her father cheated at her mum and abandoned them. Ryan is exactly what she hates, or isn't he? Even though she wants to hate him, she just can't help being attracted to him.
After a series of events, Ryan offers Maisy's band the opening act at his tour. The question here is: does he do it to get in her pants or is he genuinely believe that they are good? The answer is both! He respects her as a musician but he's attracted to her as well. Except from the opening act, Ryan has another poposition for Maisy; to be his fake girlfriend in order to save his public image. If you didn't figure it out yet, this is just an excuse, he's just too coward to really ask her out! Despite all her rules, Maisy agrees. After all as Ryan said, rules are meant to be broken!
When Maisy had the allergic reaction and Ryan freaked out, he finally let his true feelings shine. However, he can't resist to be a jerk after and ignore her (and they tell me that women are complicate!). I was genuinely happy for them until everything comes crashing down. I was seriously frustrated with Maisy, she was so unfair with him.
All in all, I really liked the book! It's dramatic, steamy and sweet at times. I laughed so many times because of Maisy's brothers and how overprotective they were of her! A very good rock star romance you should grab today!!
This was just fun! I was a little worried, second books are hard, especially when the first book was so good. I really planned on not liking it as much so it took me a little bit to get into it. I really enjoyed reading Ryan and Maisy's story. Too real people with real issues. She doesn't make them cookie cutter perfect and that was fun. It is a little unbelievable but in a take you away from reality way not a role your eyes way:} This is for older teens and adults in my opinion. There is talk of sex but Maisy has decided to stay chaste till marriage because of what she has dealt with in life. I am glad there are authors who write this way as this is a real thing that does happen and if more people took this approach I think there would be a little less chaos in the world. There is some explosive kisses and some great tension.
This is more of a YA romance which is not my preference in reading. I did not find the plot engaging and had a hard time finding the interest in finishing the book. The characters were kind of flat and I found it hard to believe in their relationship. I was given an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
#Moonstruck, A #Lovestruck Novel Book 2, Sariah Wilson
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Genre: General Fiction (adult), romance
I enjoyed book one and was pleased to see a fleeting appearance of Chase and Zoe here ;-) I love when that happens.
So, Maisy has a dilemma, she's a Rule, No Musicians – Ever....and yet now she and her brothers are on tour with Ryan de Luna she's struggling.
It was pretty easy at first, he has a reputation as a man-whore and jerk, she knows his type and it wasn't hard to brush off his advances. That seemed to shock him, usually he only has to glance and the Pleeches ( Maisy's term for the type of groupies that follow him) are desperate to shed their (minimal) clothes, do whatever he wants so he's a bit intrigued by Maisy and her indifference.
To start with I thought he was a jerk too. In a way when everyone around is pandering to you, telling you what they think you want to hear, not whet you need to hear it must be difficult to be “normal”. Ryan's trying to change though, tired of that rep, tired of doing the same music just because it sells, but his label love it because it brings in the money.
He loves the way Maisy treats him just the same as anyone else, no special treatment, not afraid to call him out, tell him he's wrong.
As she gets to know him she can see beyond the face he presents and when he asks for her help she agrees. By then she's pretty much been sucked in by his charm and just wants to help him achieve what he wants with his music.
I liked Maisie – and her brothers. They've had a tough life, work hard with their band to create and play the music they love, and all have other jobs to support the family, keep their home, and pay their mothers health costs. This gig is the chance of a lifetime for them, pays really well and hopefully could lead to financial security, so they're a little worried about what happens if Maisy and Ryan split. Will they lose the gig, can they afford that risk? They can see that both have feelings for each other so the “fake” girlfriend thing isn't going to stay that way for long.
Its got some great drama in, and like book one has a nice twist at the end. I thought I'd guessed that – I was wrong, it wasn't who I thought but someone I'd never imagined. Like I said before I love to be surprised.
I did think Maisy over-reacted a bit but the story needed that to create the drama, and given the type of person she was and her fear of Ryan being like her father, it wasn't that much of a stretch to believe she would have done that.
Stars:Four, another fun and real feeling read.

This book! Oh my heavens! I was super duper excited when I saw that Sariah Wilson wrote another book in the #Lovestruck series! Dancing commenced and some happy squeals and then the wait began. #patienceisn'tforeveryone! Then Kathy Jo, a goodreads friend, told me it was available on NetGalley. Stop the press, I went straight over and requested a copy! Then the waiting began. #whyhaven'ttheyapprovedmeyet??????? So then after an excruciatingly loooooooooooong 2 days (I know so rough having to wait that long) I got the approval email, squealed and possibly did some more Carlton dancing, much to the shocked eyes of my daughters wondering what in the world was going on with their momma. Hee Hee! Just kidding, they know I get excited a lot and laugh and dance and squeal in excitement. #stillakidatheart! I jumped on NetGalley and downloaded my copy. Woohoo!
No, I didn't read it straight through. I did try to sleep, but it was pretty close to reading #everypossiblesecond! I absolutely loved this one! I loved the first book, #Starstruck, but I might have to say this one was even better (at least for me)! Can I give it more than 5 stars please? Maybe it was all the music references, because I am a huge music lover, singer, pianist, anything music related I am there! And these two characters were fabulous!
Maisy has had some tough moments in her life. Some she hasn't healed from and she needs to. I loved how the author showed the growth and developing strength of Maisy. She was already amazing and strong but she just grew and developed even more. I loved watching her trust grow and realizing that it was ok for her heart to find someone to love and trust. Someone that could be her true love.
Ryan De Luna was a hoot! He and Maisy banter back and forth. He knew she saw him as himself. Not a popstar and not her next meal ticket or a good time. She didn't care about all the statuses and such. He was just another guy and had to prove himself to her. And boy, oh boy did he ever!
Can I just say the music video?????? Oh sweet heavens. Those two. And them singing together? And the song Maisy? And, and, and......it's never ending y'all! Seriously so many sweet and gentle moments, plus some sweet and spicy moments.
Maisy's family were awesome one moment and aggravating the next. Her brothers and I had a love and frustrated relationship. Lol! They were great brothers but I wish they would have opened up with her a little more. Yes, I totally and completely understand it's fictional and needed for the storyline. But I can vent a little can't I? It all worked perfectly for the review and gave me moments of wanting to tell them to stop babying her and tell her everything. In the end they did though, so all is forgiven!
I want to tell you so many more moments about this book but I just can't spoil it for you. If you need a sweet and spicy romance novel (yes clean, yes there are some mild innuendos see content section below) to enjoy and devour this summer grab this one. And enjoy the ride, the music, the family relations and the most important relationship of all, Ryan and Maisy's.
Content: Clean. Maisy believes in waiting for marriage for intercourse and won't back down on that rule. Ryan is a pop star and has been since he was very young. He has lived that lifestyle. So he does tease Maisy and make small comments about him being available. They do have a conversation about "notching" in terms of pop star, band members and groupies making conquests. Maisy doesn't agree and lets Ryan know where she stands. There are a couple scenes where they make out but no sex scenes. Some other talk about pop star lifestyle but nothing graphic. Mostly mild innuendos scattered throughout. I would not let my younger teen daughters read this but would recommend for more mature readers.
I received a copy from the publisher, Montlake Romance, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!!
What a wonderful story!!!! The main characters are so compelling! I will be recommending to all. A sweet story, sexy but leaving details to the imagination so I can recommend to teens. Thank you and please may I have another!!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for giving me an ARC of this book. The review below is entirely my own.
This is the 2nd book in Sariah Wilson's #Lovestruck series. And just like the first one, it has a clean, swoony, fairytale vibe to it. I really liked the characters and storyline. And gah, there's a big moment in the book ---- major feels, I'm telling you. I couldn't put my Kindle down.
But at one point, I have to say that I almost wanted to kill the h for something she did --- but MsWilson resolved that snaggle-situation in a good way. My only nitpicky thing about this book is that I felt that the ending was a bit too rushed. I wanted more scenes, more dialogue between Maisy and Ryan before the story reached it's conclusion.
And as I said in my review of the first book in this series, this book is really clean and "wholesome" even --- cleaner than some books that are tagged as YA. There's no profanity and if you're looking for smut, this isn't the book for you.
Loved it! Another great read by Ms. Wilson. I liked that this one could stand on its own, but takes place in the same universe as #Lovestruck.
How can you not be moonstruck? I was i so eager to read my advanced copy . This book was amazing , the chemistry between Ryan and Maisy was off the charts ! The story line was so easy to get into . Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down , thank you Sariah Wilson you did not disappoint. If you love a good rockstar romance this is the book for you
I really enjoyed this rock star type of story though it is 100% one sided and we never see or hear Ryan's side of the story. I really felt this story would have been even better with that. But Maisy does a great job of holding the readers attention and I did really enjoy her story.
The star of this story is Maisy. She has a bunch of brothers and is a musician herself. She has a best friend who is crazy over rocker Ryan and so they sneak in backstage to meet him. Maisy meets Ryan who she thinks is kinda Blah but she loses her phone. Which is how Ryan gets to know her, thru listening to her youtube videos and seeing her play with her band live.
He then offers her to go on the road with him being his opening act. And that is when the romancing starts. This is a very clean story. No sex is involved. Maisy wants to be a virgin when she marries and Ryan wants her badly. So at first the fake date and then it turns into more.
This was a fun story and I really enjoyed it. I could not stop reading and found it a really fun story. Very unrealistic but who cares it was a very enjoyable story.
I love this trope and I love this author.
The combination of the two together is a no brainer.
Maisy took me a chapter to warm up too, but I adored Ryan immediately.
The kind of sweet book boyfriend we all need in our lives.
Highly recommended.
Maisy just wants her band to make it and be able to pay for her mums care, what she does not need is repeated run ins with Ryan De Luna, the hottest pop star on the planet. But one comment on her video seals her fate.
Really enjoyable.
This book is maisy and Ryan book, they are both musicians, Ryan is a big time superstar maisy is in a band with h we brothers barely making ends meet, Ryan and maisy come to tour together and start a fake relationship to clean up Ryan image, the book is not to bad but it's very young adult, they come off young to me t h eres not much steam in this book.I like my books a little edgy, it's not a bad read just not my kind of read! Thank you NetGalley and Montlake romance for sharing this book with me! Poop and it's only her pov! I hate books with single pov!!
