I will not be reviewing this book. It is a book that I typically would gravitate to, however, for some reason my timing is off, and it has not held my interest. instead of giving it a poor review, I will read and review at a later time. thank you.

The one thing I think YA needs more of are books that take place on the road. Whether it is a road trip or a music related story, a book on the road is always great entertainment. As a reader you get to travel with the characters and see new places and experience new things. Honestly almost every book I have read that falls into this theme has been a win and You’d Be Mine is no exception. This book was a great combination of a road trip and music story and I enjoyed every page.

You’d Be Mine is the debut novel of Erin Hahn. It is about Clay Coolidge, a music superstar that needs and image upgrade. He has been on a crash course to trouble and needs someone with a clean cut image to help and Annie Mathers is that person. Born into country royalty Annie has managed to stay out of the main stream spotlight and played strictly on her YouTube channel for a long time. But with an offer to join Clay on the road for his summer tour Annie, her cousin and her friend can’t pass this up. Suddenly Annie and Clay find themselves doing interviews and photoshoots and performances together. Annie starts getting to know the real Clay and she likes what she sees. But both of them have some demons they need to face and the last place they want that to happen is in the spotlight or in front of each other.

I think what I liked most about You’d Be Mine, besides the road trip aspect, was how real Annie and Clay seemed. They both went though horrible things and were both dealing different ways which made them feel like someone you know since not everyone deals with tragedy the same. Clay was completely shut off and angry and Annie just wanted to forget and move on. When they let their guards down in front of each other their chemistry truly showed. They broke my heart a lot and I really wanted to Clay to talk to Annie more, but in the end they were just what the other needed.

In the end I think You’d Be Mine is a book you should add to your TBR. It is a fast read with a lot of depth and emotion and I think it will be a good addition to your reading list. Definitely check out Erin Hahn. Im happy I did.

I adored this one. It was such a fantastic read. The characters were amazing and intriguing and the plot hooked me from the start. I just enjoyed everything about this book. Both protagonists felt like fully fleshed out characters and I loved it. They felt real and present and that is what I needed. The romance was adorable as hell and I feel in love with everything about it

Overall, I really enjoyed reading You'd Be Mine and I wish more people would read it.

I enjoyed the country music traveling aspect of this (my favorite book similar was "Open Road Summer"), but after suffering a recent similar loss of a parent (described a little in chapter 11), I couldn't continue on without tearing up, so, unfortunately, I'm going to have to pass on continuing reading

This was just okay. I couldn't really get into it. It was just so melodramatic at some point that I was rolling my eyes from their problems. I had issues with the fact that the MCs were only 18 years old! They sounded and acted like they were 35. The author did not do a good job of making her characters sound like teenagers. Yes, they were singers and on tour together but nothing about them seemed 18 at all. If the author had aged them up to 28, it would have made more sense to me.

"You'd Be Mine" is not really my cup of tea. I definitely went into this knowing that much. While I found the story to be rather generic and predictable, I did enjoy the characterization and the overall writing.

I've had this arc for over a year now, and it finally made its way out of the digital Kindle prison and into my hands. After enjoying More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn, I decided to give this a shot too, since I always feel bad when I don't make it to an arc in time. So hopefully better late than never!

Moving from More Than Maybe to You'd Me Mine, it easy to tell that Erin Hahn has a great love of music. It's woven into every page, infusing both stories with lots of heart and fire.

Clay Coolidge is one of the hottest young country music stars out there, but his daisy dukes and beers on the tractor lyrics barely hide his slew of real-life problems. What on the outside looks like a fun-looking, good-time boy, is actually someone quite broken on the inside. After one too many fights, his label gives him an ultimatum: convince an up and comer to tour with him to save his image or his route to stardom is about to take a severe left turn.

Annie Mathers is primed to be country music’s new sweetheart. As the daughter of two legendary entertainers who died tragically, Annie is incredibly talented but also deathly afraid of becoming just like her mother, a star who died from a drug overdose. But she can't shake her desire to perform and make music, so she agrees to be Clay’s opening act for the summer.

Even though they both try to ignore it, there's a spark between Clay and Annie. One that just won't go away. They're both trying to outrun their demons in different ways, try to stay away from each other to protect the other, but sparks are hard to ignore when they only get brighter. Plus it makes the music so good!

This book felt older than a typical YA book to me. Because of that, some of the ages felt wonky. Clay's bandmate acts like his much older brother/handler, but turns out to only be a year older? All of these poor kids had way more demons to fight than any 18 year old should, which made the story interesting, but just so tragic. If you're looking for YA fluff, this isn't it, But if you like a story that reaches beyond the typical will they, won't they drama, You'd Be Mine definitely fits the bill.

This book was adorable. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers relationship between Annie and Clay.

Annie was such a strong character for having witnessed what she did when she was younger. I think it showed a positive view on how to cope with tragedy.

Clay was a bit of a mess. I felt that his way of coping wasn’t as positive as Annie and I thought it added to the story. I think that showing the different ways to grieve is important for young readers to see and that the choices you make in handling tragedy can have positive or negative outcomes.

This book really surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to get this dark! I also knew I was going to like it, but didn't know I'd like it this much.

It's a compelling story about two deeply damaged people who find each other. Either it would go really wrong, and they would be each other's ruin, or they would be the ones to help in some much needed healing.

With country music and a summer tour as the background, it gets even better.

A sweet YA contemporary romance within the country music scene. I didn’t care for clay, and found Annie kind of boring. I love the setting and the storyline but I didn’t fall for the characters.

This book reminded me so much about the TV show, Nashville. I recommend this book to fans of country music and Nashville.

Loved loved loved this. I love cheesy romance novels, ESPECIALLY when they involve musicians and life on the road. An odd genre to be obsessed with, but one that you are seriously missing out on if you haven't read. This reminded me of one of my faves, Music of the Heart by Katie Ashley. Thank you for the chance to read this and fulfil my need for musical romances!!

This was a fun look and very good read about country music, touring, being young--you name it. I liked the Cash/Carter parallels.

I wanted to like this, but I found Clay to be an awfully unsympathetic character and didn’t want Annie to have to “fix” him. Instead the relationship felt like what she didn’t like about her parents: a bit codependent and problematic.

I am not a romance reader. I often find it hard to read romance at all, finding it cheesy and overdone. But this? This was adorable. 'Nuff said.

A super cute YA romance with a country music backdrop. Annie is a new, up and coming somewhat unwilling country music star who is signed on to summer tour of Clay, current Nashville party-boy, to help improve his image... They both have some history that they are dealing with which eventually they are able to bond over, and along with the amazing chemistry Clay and Annie have together makes for quite the witty, charming love story. i definitely enjoyed this one and am looking forward to more from this author! Thanks to NG for the ARC!

Thank you to Netgalley for providing a review copy.

Come on, this book was just amazing. Romantic and funny and with the perfect touch of angst. How could you not love it.

A lovely mix of romance and drama. It's light in some places and heavy in others. The author's treatment of grief could be cathartic for readers. It's a realistic story set against he backdrop of country music. I was worried the country music aspect would bug me since I don't like country music myself, but I was fine with it. Recommended!

Super cute contemporary romance that's realistic and gritty and doesn't have a "happily ever after" ending. I thoroughly enjoyed the aspects of relationships that were explored, especially the friendships between Annie and her bandmates, and Clay and his best friend/band mate. It was so interesting to see real relationships on the page. Often these types of books are superficial at best, but YOU'D BE MINE delved deeper into the human condition and explored relationships both platonic and romantic in a refreshing way. If you liked A STAR IS BORN, you'll love this book.
