The third book in the series and the best one so far. I really loved Rogue and Zoe, I loved how their relationship was built up on friendship and was the slow burn of romance. This book definitely has all the emotions and I really loved Zoe's sister, as well as, the secondary characters. I look forward to more.
Going Rogue is a good solid romance with an excellent plot. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more by Ms. Fernando. The characters were developed rather well and came across as life like.
The VP of the Cursed Ravens, pretty boy with the voice of angel gets his story and boy it does not disappoint. We get to see the fun side of the MC with the banter of the men and women. The drama is not far behind for this group but , also their is inner turmoil with this member. We see family struggles and lines being crossed in the most unconventional ways.
Zoe is a nursing aid in assisted living home where Rogue's mom is currently. They meet and it's instant connection between them well in Rogue's mind she is already his. Zoe's has been closed off from men especially MC men after having a bad experience with one. It's understandable why she is so stand offish toward Rogue but, also fighting off her body and emotions.
Rogue gets anything he wants and will fight for it if it is worth fight for. He sees Zoe and he know that she is it but know that he will have to do things the right way and be patient with her. Not to force it that she will be coming to him when she is ready. Also it doesn't hurt to give her a little nudge and try to be or trick her into a date or two.
We see a glimpse into the beloved Wind Dragons MC characters so this set in the future but, the same world as the WD MC. Aslo it crossed with the once hot shot lawyer as well I can't give anymore tid bits up you're going to have to read it and get ready for a bumpy ride.
Gah!! This story was insanely good. I thought Rogue and Zoe were pure fire and sex. This story was sexy, sweet and full of emotion. I seriously could not get enough! This was a great addition to the series! 4 stars!!
ARC Received for an honest review
Woohoo! Finally, Rogue is here!
I have been impatiently awaiting Rogue's story from the minute I started reading Ace Of Hearts, and Ms Fernando has not disappointed.
In the previous books, we know something is going on with his mother, and now we find out all the whole kit and kaboodle.
We actually meet our leading lady Zoe before we see Rogue in this book, and right from the start she grabs you by the heart and doesn't let go. She is stuck in a rut and nothing seems to be able to drag her out.
Until Rogue. They have a mutual acquaintance in his mother. Oh, how she broke my heart.
I couldn't help but be Zoe and Rogue's biggest cheerleader. They just need to be together. It has to happen!
I freaking adore all the Cursed Raven ladies - I liked them in their own books, but together they sure are a force to be reckoned with!
Heartbreaking, emotional, beautiful. Ms Fernando had me gripped by this story from the first word to the last.
I can't wait to see what she brings us next.
Loved it!! How can you not love a sexy as h*ll bad*ss biker who is tough enough to be the VP of the Cursed Ravens MC and yet everyday visit his ailing mother in a nursing home. It’s there he meets the feisty nurse who is caring for his mother. Zoe is everything good but even good girls like bad boys.
This story is one that I couldn’t put down. I loved the persistence and caring of Rouge for a woman he knew was worth every minute of it. Their chemistry was crazy good. Another bonus was Zoe’s sister, Vanessa who was absolutely hilarious.
I loved Fernando's Wind Dragons MC series, and enjoyed this Cursed Ravens MC, although I jumped in on the third book of the series. I'll need to go back and read the first two and get their story. What I liked was that it had the same style that made me like and trust Fernando's MC series yet kept it fresh and on our toes. There was a sort of a crossover with the Wind Dragons MC though we didn't get much appearance or interaction with them. They were mostly mentioned. Can't wait to read more!
I absolutely loved this new book series from Chantal she is a must read for all her books. I loved the story and the characters you totally fall in love with them all. I have read every single book by Chantal and will continue to do so every new release. 100 stars
I loved the latest installment of this series!! Going Rogue is book three in the Cursed Ravens MC series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but I strongly recommend reading the first two books. Enjoyable series, so no hardship to read, I promise!!
I fell in love with Rogue in the first two books, this book just cemented it! He is totally and completely swoon worthy!!
As the VP of the Cursed Ravens, Rogue’s job is his life. He doesn’t have time for anything else, much less a relationship. When it comes to women, he has maintained a ‘hit it and quit it’ policy. Unfortunately, with club deals gone wrong and his mother succumbing to dementia, things have been exceptionally rough. In the mists of his struggles he runs in to Zoe, who makes him question his policy on attachments, because right now, she is exactly what he needs.
Zoe works as a nursing home caregiver. She enjoys her job and her quiet, structured life. After having her heart broken she just wants to lay low and keep it simple. Rogue however, is anything but simple. Zoe has to decide if she is willing to open up, risking the safety of her heart for a chance at the best relationship ever?
Who can resist a hot biker with a voice of an angel, especially when he is found singing to his dying mother or singing Moana to the children of his mc brothers? Seriously, how hot is it to see this sexy god when he steps in to care for his brother’s children? Loyalty and love for his family, the mc included, is Rogue’s strength. He embraces his duties and carries them out with appropriate levels of force & gentleness required. Again, swooning! #Ultimatebookboyfriend.
Rogue is determined to have a relationship with the stunning beauty he found caring for his mother. Despite her rebuffs, he keeps chipping away at her resolve. Their slow start nurtures a friendship and builds the sexual tension to a level we can’t wait to see combust! The mc women embrace Zoe and she quickly finds her place within the MC family. However, she continues to question her strength to handle all that befalls on the mc and its lifestyle. Is she strong enough to trust again? On top of all those questions comes the doozy! #herewego Rogue’s mother gives her a request that counters what Rogue wants. Will she go against Rogue’s wishes and destroy everything they have built?
This is a great story! I highly recommend reading this series! It has an intriguing storyline that keeps you engaged and characters you will love. Including Zoe’s sister, Vanessa #nofilter she keeps it real and cracks me up. Drool worthy characters in some incredibly steamy scenes!! Still fanning myself! #hotmess I’m looking forward to the next installment! I really want a story with Gage. Hint, hint, Chantal!!!
I don't know if I've said it before, but I feel I need to say that Chantal Fernando is my favorite author when it comes to books. Their original stories, sassy, hot and sweet. And I love every one of them.
Going Rogue is the third book in the series The Cursed Ravens and tells the story of the Vice President of the Club and of Zoe, a lovely woman who works in nursing home that Rogue's mother is.And it is in this scenario that these two characters meet and go exploring things between them
This book is very sweet. I liked how these two characters have developed a friendship before everything.I always love to see the sweet side of those bikers, and here I can see that not just Rogue relationship with zoe but also with your mother who suffers from dementia and heart problems.See Rogue with these two melted my heart.Another plus of this book is to see the Club as a family, taking care of each other (never get tired of it), as well as the friendship that Zoe and your sister Vanessa developed with Celina and Erin,These four women together took laughter throughout the book and I loved the friendship born between them.
I don't know if this will be the last book in this series or not, I can only wish that more books of this guys out there. And if you like a book of bikers without much drama, with bikers bossy but also sweet, charismatic and courageous heroines and a group together who are always there for you, I can only recommend you not only this book as all books MC this amazing author.
Wow another fabulous Cursed Ravens M.C book from the brilliant Chantal Fernando, I absolutely adore Knuckles a Sergeant at Arms and a single dad who's super stubborn but also the most lovable guy on the planet, then you have Celina a determined journalist with alot of sass and a heart that's on lockdown.
These two make a fantastic power couple and just bounce off of each other, they have their ups and downs but that's what makes them so great together, they really can't keep their eyes off of each other.
But the story comes with some very unexpected twists that leaves you intrigued to read the rest and wish for an happy ending, it's a sexy read and with an M.C comes family and there's plenty of family to go around.
I'm truly hoping Rogue will get his own book that guy needs a woman in his life!
I really have grown to like these Cursed Ravens through this series. Rogue is the 'crooner' of the group singing and making the girls swoon. He is also the tough VP of the group. Zoe's life is stale. She goes to work, takes care of patients and goes home. Her sister is the most exciting thing in her life and she is completely crazy.
Zoe and Rogue's meeting made me laugh a bit. I loved how Zoe wanted to say yes but couldn't. Still she took good care of his mother throughout and that said a lot to me. Seeing the different side of the MC instead of the felonious side was nice. Overall the story was good, if heartbreaking at times, and I enjoyed it.
Solid 4/5 for me.
Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
Everyone around him is starting to begin their forever's and Rogue has to admit he is a little envious, they have all found women who bring out the best in them, and for the first time in his life he's really begun to crave that too... but the right woman just hasn't come along yet. He's got a mile long track record with women, and many of them would have loved to become his old lady, but none of them made it past the first night. Then while visiting his ailing mother at the nursing home, he runs into a beautiful angel that sparks something inside him that he never knew existed, and that's when he knows he's just found his forever. The problem is she doesn't date bikers, she's been there and done that and doesn't plan to do that again... but she's never met a man like him, when he wants something he doesn't give up until he has it!
She's heard all the nurses rave about Rogue, he's handsome, sweet, and score lots of points with the other nurses because of how good he is to his mother... but until she witnesses it for herself she can't seem to fathom what all the fuss is about. Then she meets him, and she instantly knows he is every bit as admirable as the ladies have made him out to be... and then some! Then she learns that he belongs to a MC club, and that changes things for her, she dated a biker and it didn't end well for her heart, so it's probably wise if she keeps her distance from him... but Rogue didn't seem to take the hint she threw out. He continually keeps showing up and brightening her day, and before long he's rocking her nights too, and she soon realizes she can't save heart from him... he's made himself right at home there and for the first time in a long time, it feels right to have someone there. But then tragedy strikes and her heart immediately feels the need to flee...
Between the pages of Going Rogue you will meet a man that has the power to bring you to your knees with just a look, lure you in with his smile, and completely steal your heart with his voice. Rogue is the The Cursed Ravens vice president, and while you would expect him to be a tough and dominating man, there is also a tender-hearted man there too, one with the voice of an angel and a heart of gold. The moment I met him in the first installment of this series, I knew he was going to be the one to get to me the most, and boy did he ever, he is every bit the alpha I expected him to be, but he also has this caring nature about him that shows through in everything he does, and that is what sealed the deal for me! His journey to finding his forever was a bittersweet one, he lost the most important woman in his life, but before she left him she gifted him the woman who would change his life and give him the future he craved, and I have to say it was quite beautiful thing to witness!
Ms. Fernando really outdid herself with these characters in this new series, I have loved meeting the men of the Cursed Ravens MC, and really hope there are more stories to come in this series, because I am just not ready to say goodbye to them yet!! I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's a heart-wrenching tale that will leave an unshakable smile on your face, and an indelible impression on your heart!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
This is the third book of the series and has perhaps the most interesting story line so far. Rogue is the club VP and he has an aging mother living in a care facility. Zoe is her caretaker. Loved their meet cute! Really loved tat rogue realizes from the start that Zoe is special. He takes his time to get to know her and her him. They become friends first.
All the range of emotions in this one--humor, sadness, angst and steam. We get to see a bit more action through the MC in this book, finally. Wonderful secondary characters. Zoe's sister is the bomb! Great addition to the series. Looking forward to reading more!
Another fantastic addition to the Cursed Ravens series. Rogue is an interesting hero with his rough side combined with that sweet soulful side. Zoe is a firecracker and they are perfect for each other. I love the sense of family with the club. I hope there's more in the series.
I enjoyed Going Rogue just as much as Knucke Down. Going Rogue features Rogue and Zoe. Rogue is the pretty boy VP of the MC, Zoe is the nurse who works at the home where Rogue's mom is receiving care. Everything that happened with Rogue's mom made me teary eyed. She has dementia and heart problems. Dementia is a dirty asshole and just hits a soft spot in me. Zoe is sweet and caring but looking for a little fun and adventure. Rogue is not actually the first MC member Zoe has dated, which makes her hesitant as the first one didn't work out so good.
Zoe and Rogue meet at the nursing home and things go from there. I loved that the women of the MC pulled Zoe out of her shell a bit. They won't let her withdraw from them! Rogue is the kind of guy you want to date (maybe without the jail stints though). He's funny, caring and devoted to his MC family and his mom.
In addition to Zoe and Rogue's romance there is a MC problem that Rogue and the MC are handling where not everything goes as planned. I liked this little addition to the story as it gave the book more substance but didn't overshadow the romance I was looking for.
Going Rogue takes us to Rogue, VP of the Cursed Ravens, and someone I've been low key stalking throughout this series. He wasn't a super strong presence in the previous books but he was featured enough that he had me real curious. So after reading Knuckle Down I jumped right into this one to get more of the brooding biker.
His lady is Zoe, a caretaker at the facility his mother is in, and she's not new to the world of dating a biker-which is why she wants nothing to do with Rogue when he first comes around. But Rogue doesn't give up easily and soon Zoe is on the back of his bike right where he wants her. From there the story is full of exciting moments between these two that had me captivated.
I thought Zoe and Rogue worked really well together and they're probably one of the cutest couples from this series. They had their differences, and Zoe could be a little more uptight than the previous heroines, but together her more strait-laced personality actually blended perfectly with Rogue's more free one. I adore when authors mix character personalities so well, and that's exactly what happened here.
Ms. Fernando also throws in a little action-y type angst near the end, which I did find interesting and I thought it took the book to a more serious-biker level than I've seen in this series. I did enjoy the fact that it pushed the boundaries some, but then that excitement was kind of ruined when that was resolved and finished in a rushed manner. I think I would have just liked a more clear ending on everything that happened. And I also didn't really understand the point of something that was revealed.
But overall, I still really enjoyed this couple and their story and that is something not even a rushed ending could have ruined. Zoe and Rogue were just adorable and I already can't wait to re-read their story again. I'm pretty sure this is the last book for this series but I'll be rooting for more to come from these characters.
Okay, I am staking my claim now! ROGUE BELONGS TO ME! OMG! I loved him from the start. I love how he is slightly lost but also tough as nails as he goes through the motions of his mother’s health deteriorating. The unexpected is Zoe. I love her character. She is compassionate and sassy in her own little way and the chemistry that these two have right from the start is stunning. Their banter right from the start makes you giggle and I love how he pursues her. Like he is trying to find something to keep him grounded and he finds that in Zoe. Zoe’s sister is an absolute blast too. I laughed so much with her. I also love how she is so supportive of Zoe. When things come to a head in this story, your heart breaks for both Rogue and Zoe. I did want to smack Rogue upside the head because he totally deserved it but I can also see where he is coming from.
Overall, this is my favorite book of the series. There were a lot of ups and downs and emotional moments but that is what made it feel so real. How the MC is a family and stands by their own regardless of what is thrown at them. I really hope there is more because I want to see how things play out!
I hadn’t read any other books in this series but I definitely will be now, there are some really great characters in this story and I need their stories, but back to this one Rogue and Zoe are awesome together I loved the banter. Rogues is going through something many face and I can’t imagine watching someone who has been there for you your entire life fade before your eyes. I loved Vanessa and can’t wait for her story it is sure to be kick***.
"Sometimes you just have to go where the connection is."
Each book I read in the Cursed Raven MC series makes me fall even deeper for them. I agree that they "—are all a mix of inappropriate and respectful, dangerous and goofy, which makes for a lot of fun." Their sense of humor is contagious and their love and support for each other make me want to be part of their unique and beautiful family.
If you've read any of the previous books you will have already met Rogue. He's the almost too gorgeous one who also has a beautiful voice. Needless to say, he has no lack of female companionship and you can see how he came by his road name. All he has to do is walk into a room, but then he goes and picks up his guitar and starts singing, and it's all over. He's more effective than tequila for making their clothes fall off.
Zoe meets Rogue's mother first. She takes care of her at the nursing home where she works. She's actually her favorite patient, often amusing her with her sass and wit. She's not shy with her language or opinions and they enjoy each other's company. When she first gets a look at Rogue he has the same effect on her as he does all those before her. She can't deny he's breathtaking and charming. He doesn't hide his interest in her, but she shies away from agreeing to see him outside of the nursing home. Yes, she puts him in the 'friend zone', which is a first for him.
I really enjoyed this sweet and entertaining story, swooning and sighing as Rogue tries to bring her out of her shell. But I have to give the credit to her sister Vanessa for most of the laugh-out-loud moments. She's a mess and I have a girl crush on her. I've been doing some mental matchmaking and I already have a man picked out for her. I know that she becomes family by association if her sister is with a member, but why not have a man of her own, right? I can't wait to see who's featured next, the line forms here...
