Talk about starting off with a bang! Two strangers new in town meet at a bar, hey what's wrong with a one night stand to take a little stress off starting a new job in a new city right? Bishop is starting out on a new team, brand new hockey franchise, the Arizona Vengeance, a long way from his last team in New York but luckily he has some friends moving over too. Out at the bar, Bishop sees a really beauty to pick up, he's a hockey star it should be easy right? Brooke is letting off steam before starting her new job in a new city , she's a modern woman, why not the ultimate stress reliever-hot sex with a hotter guy. One mind blowing night and ready to start her new life, but she's not expecting her one night stand to come walking into her office, nor did she believe how good his arms would feel wrapped around her feel so good, well until her father walks in on them. Yep you guessed it her father is none other than Bishop's new coach, some quick talking, well lying, who are we kidding right? Leads to a fun, hot read! Great supporting characters, can't wait to read their stories too-what a sexy team the Vengeance is!

I’m happy to report that the super-hot hockey gods that Sawyer Bennett is known for in the Cold Fury series are just as hot and awesome in this series. I could not put this book down! Or, at least I didn’t want to. You know, work and real life got in the way. And I will admit, at one point I could foresee something terrible happening and had to put it down for a little while because by not reading further I could stall the thing from happening. (I’m not going to tell you if I was right or not because that would ruin it for you when you get to that point!)
Bishop is just such a nice guy. I know, calling a man a nice guy is like the kiss of death. But seriously, he’s a sweetie. From the beginning of his fake relationship with Brooke, he is on her about not putting all the blame on herself. He’s so considerate of her feelings and how things are affecting her even though the ruse has really put a damper on his social life. The relationship that grows as Bishop and Brooke spend more and more time together is so natural and organic. They have a beautiful connection.
My heart hurts for Brooke and her reasons for giving up a job she loved for a job she isn’t very thrilled with. What a wonderful woman she is, and such a caring daughter. I will admit, it made me dislike her dad a bit since he had to have known she gave up a lot for him. When Brooke, yet again, puts someone else’s well being ahead of her own so Bishop won’t have trouble with his job, it’s just like second nature to her. She’s definitely a mama bear type of nurturer.
The chemistry is off the charts with these two and they have both hot and touching love scenes in this story. Again, the relationship progresses so naturally it’s almost like you don’t even realize it’s happening.
We meet a few of the teammates in this story to pave the way for future books. It seems it may be a while before we get his story, but I cannot wait to learn more about Tacker. He had my heart from the very beginning. I have a feeling this series is going to be (somehow) even better than the Cold Fury series.

Bishop Scott is starting with a new expansion hockey team in Arizona when he has a one-night stand with Brooke Perron. The next day he finds out she is the coach’s daughter when they are caught in an embrace. Brooke panics and introduces Bishop as her fiancé. Bishop plays along so that he doesn’t get benched by the coach. As they get to know each other, Brooke and Bishop start to enjoy each other outside of the bedroom. The team is doing well and Brooke is in line to get a job in the merchandising department. There is a side story where Brooke’s former co-worker Nanette comes to visit and tries to seduce Bishop and take a job with the team. The ensuing lawsuit by Nanette brings Brooke and Bishop's relationship into the open. The book ends with the two of them admitting they are in love with each other.
I liked the book and am looking forward to a new series. The characters introduced so far seem to have potential for good stories. The Cold Fury hockey books started out great, but were up and down in quality and story line toward the end. Hopefully this series will know when to stop.

I love a good HEA and the story of Brooke & Bishop delivered! This is my third novel by Sawyer Bennett, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at SaSS17 in Baltimore! I enjoy her writing style because of attention to detail (research) and the hot male main characters she creates!!! 😊
This is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series that features stories based on hockey players and thier love interest.
Brooke & Bishop's meet-cute happens in a bar. Him running a not-so-cheesy line that sparks Brooke's interest. I love the fact that she was forward-thinking enough to go after what she wanted, which happened to be a one-night stand with Bishop; without slut-shaming her! As the book progresses, insight into Brooke become apparent and you find her to be likeable if not relatable. I also, enjoyed the fact that Bishop was a nice guy and he had a thoughtful & sweet relationship with his Mom. Yes, Bishop has all the marking of a "player" but he' is written with a stronger moral-code than meets the eye!
The story has drama but it gave me exactly what I needed in an HEA!!! I recommend giving this a read and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!!!
Many thanks to Netgalley, Loveswept (an imprint of Penguin Random House), and Sawyer Bennett for providing my an ARC of this book for my honest review.

For Bishop a fresh start, finds him in an awkward situation. Bennett says game on with an irresistible player and his saucy fantasy girl. Bishop is the new guy in town. His skills are legendary and so is his ego. When a night on the town puts more than his job on the line, he has to make some tough decisions. Should he listen to his head or risk his heart? Sawyer Bennett goes for the win and scores.

Bishop Scott was traded to the new NHL expansion team in Arizona, the Arizona Vengeance, along with his best friend of many years Dax. Deciding to party some before their first day of practice, they head off to a popular hot spot. Noticing this beautiful woman sitting at the bar by herself, Bishop decides to make a move, even thou every other guy seems to have the same idea. As she turns down a guy next to her, Bishop makes his move and it seems like they both are in the same mindset. A night of hot sex with no strings attached.
Even as he walks into the arena the next morning, he can’t stop thinking about Brooke wishing he would have gotten her last name and phone number. Passing through the staff offices, Bishop does a double take when he sees Brooke sitting down in one of them. Going up to her, they continue where they left off last night with a very hot kiss. That is until they get interrupted by the Coach, who also happens to be her father. To protect Bishop, Brooke tells her father that they are engaged! Unable to utter a word, Bishop is struck numb. Later that day Brooke explains that if she hadn’t said that, her Dad would take it out on him and possibly bench him.
Bishop at first is extremely angry about the lies, till Brooke explains that they will just plan a breakup in a couple of weeks. It’s a win win situation, what could go wrong? Everything, that’s what!

BISHOP by Sawyer Bennett. I'll start by saying that Ms. Bennett has rocked my world with this one! Being a HUGE fan of her Cold Fury series, I was a bit nervous about venturing to another team's crew but there there was no need to worry. Ms. Bennett totally knocked this one out of the park (oops - wrong sport but you get the idea!). Bishop and Brooke are smokin' hot together. I loved Brooke's dedication and love for her father. And Bishop, despite his emotional upheavals, certainly stepped up to the plate (sorry - again, wrong sport LOL) and offered Brooke the support she needed. Their love story moved fast, yet slow - it was, for me, a joy to follow their journey with them as discoveries are made and life is lived. There's fun times, sad times, a bit of heartache and lots of steamy lovin' that make this story one I couldn't put down and want to read again. Despite my tendency to refer to the wrong sport, I enjoy a hockey tale almost more then any other sport and Ms. Bennett is skilled and crafty when writing her hunky hockey heroes. Her characters are true enough and her plots are believable. Her writing style is fluid and I never feel lost or confused. Overall, Ms. Bennett is truly a wonderful writer that brings her characters to life and gives her readers a feel good love story that warms the heart and rocks the soul. (received ARC for honest review)

I'm so excited that we have a new hockey series to look forward to from Sawyer Bennett. I adored Bishop. Maybe not at first, but the more time he spent with Brooke the more I loved how he treated her. For having a fake relationship, he was a great boyfriend to her.
So many times you see sports players equals tons of other women drama. While we do have that, I didn't mind it at all. In fact, I'm glad it was there because Bishops reactions to it was exactly what I want to see happen when faced with a woman trying to interfere. It's one of the biggest reasons I loved Bishop.
Brooke was a very sweet and mature heroine despite her silly reaction to her father catching her with Bishop. There were a few times she could have reacted badly and instead was calm and mature.
This ended up being a fun read. I am a little worried about Erik's story next. He came off as a major player in this book. It will be interesting to see where the author takes his story.

Can deception lead to love?
What happens when a one night turns into deception? The chemistry is there but when Bishop shows up for his first day of training camp and sees the girl that was just in his bed. Then boom his new couch walks in and she says hi daddy then blurts our she’s engaged.
Authors Blurb: Bishop Scott, co-captain. Not too shabby, huh? It’s all part of my fresh start with the NHL’s latest expansion team, and that means new teammates, a new coach, a new city, and a big new contract. Basically, I cannot f***ing wait to show my old squad what they’re missing.
But first, I decide to check out the town before the grind begins. Turns out Arizona chicks are totally smokin’, and I’m fortunate enough to meet one who’s looking for the same thing I am: a night of anonymous, unforgettable, no-strings-attached sex.
Fast forward to the Vengeance arena. It’s the last place I expect to see her again—let alone in her own office. Then bells go off and I finally realize who this girl is: Brooke Perron. My new coach’s daughter. All of a sudden, we’re picking up right where we left off, which means our hands are all over each other. That’s when her dad—my boss—walks in. And before I can get a word out, Brooke’s introducing me as her fiancé.
Sure, she just saved my ass. So why do I get the feeling Brooke’s going to turn my world upside down? Maybe it’s because this fake relationship feels way too real. .
I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.
I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

Bishop was my first read by Sawyer Bennett and all I can ask myself is what on earth took me so long to discover her. Bishop Scott is one of the IT guys-Hot, handsome, talented hockey player for the newly minted Arizona Vengeance hockey team. But when Brooke meets him, she has no idea who she is. Both are just looking for a night of fun and both get exactly what they want. When Bishop realizes that she works for the organization, he is giddy that he may have a chance for another night with this amazing woman but things turn a bit comedic when he realizes that she is the Coach's daughter. Brooke wants to protect both her father and Bishop and perpetuates a deception that may go very wrong. These two will have you both laughing and swooning at the beauty that comes when the deception goes in a direction neither expected. The side characters (i.e. Bishop's teammates) also have you completely intrigued and I'm ready to read all about them.

A new Hockey series! Yay!
Well, I would've preferred something a bit different - maybe football or rockstars, but ... why not another hockey series!? Lots of eye candy. ☺
And Bishop gave us a great first book.
It was funny and verrry sexy right from the start!
They start as a one-night stand that has to turn into a longer thing because they have to pretend to be together in front of her dad. And while pretending they might be falling for each other.
But of course a few obstacles stand in the way of our happy end.
I really enjoyed this book.
It was erotic and fun and sweet and I adored how much Bishop and Dax adored his mom! Too cute.
A lot of other players were introduced - there's a lot of material in Phoenix! ☺
Can't wait to see what Erik will be up to next! And Tacker!!! When will we get his book?!
I had some problems with the writing...as with every Sawyer book. It wasn't mega bad this time - but I still have to mention it.
It's Sawyer's and my THING ☺ It's only me who has those problems with her writing. So please don't be worried or just scroll down and don't read the following...
I have a HUGE AS problem! ☺ You know the AS's I'm talking about? The AS that could/should be exchanged for a SINCE or a BECAUSE or just a comma/dot/pause/whatever.☺ It's a British and or legal thing (if it's a thing at all!) and it doesn't have anything to do in an American book by an American author. I would be ok with it if one (British) character would use it, but everyone uses it! I really don't want to insult Sawyer. I love her books, but ... please stop doing it. But pfff who am I to tell her what to do, so just forget I said anything! It doesn't stop her books from being great!
BISHOP was a fun & erotic first book in this new hockey series! Great start!
Run to your nearest amazon for your own BISHOP - this one is MINE!!!!!
JANEANE
Woohoo. I am going to miss the Cold Fury, but a brand new series with a brand new team and a whole lotta new hockey hotties for me to adore - sign me up!
Welcome to Phoenix, home of the Arizona Vengeance. And say hello to Bishop while you are at it!
This book starts with one heck of a bang, and I was hooked from then on.
Bishop and Brooke's relationship may not start in the most conventional way, but there is no denying the attraction between them - I mean, you can feel the pheromones flying between them, and the sexual tension can be cut with a knife!
I liked that even though they have their issues, there is nothing too OTT dramatic for our lovelies. They deal with things like adults, no pouty, stupid fights for no reason, they do this thing called "communicating" and sort their sh!t out!
There is something that made me get all stabby, and I feel that it is going to play a part in further books in the series, but I am not sure. I had such a visceral reaction to them - in that I wanted to put my hand into my kindle and slap them stupid!
It was great getting to know a little about the other guys in the Vengeance, and there is one there (not saying who) that I know is going to break my heart when we get to his story - and I can't wait!
Sweet, sexy, hot and funny, I really enjoyed Bishop and can't wait to see what happens next for the Vengeance.

Bishop was amazing! I’m so happy Ms. Bennett is branching out with more hockey-players - and both Bishop and Brooke really did it for me. There’s a little bit of suspense with Brooke’s friend Nanette, and a whole lot of awesome hockey-talk, relationships between the players, and within the organization at large.
Full review to come.

New town, new team, new men, more hockey! Life is good. Bishop arrives in Arizona after being drafted into a new start up team and is out for the evening with his best friend. His eyes stop on a woman who he can't stop looking at, after seeing her talking with someone else and obviously shutting the other guy down, he wanders over and introduces himself. He's just looking for that one off, oddly so is Brooke. They leave together and end up spending a little more than one night, but he leaves, they never share their respective occupations. Arriving at the new arena and headed for a team meeting the next day he's catches a glimpse of a familiar pair of legs, attached to the woman he knows. He slips in and shuts the door and makes for her quickly pulling her into his arms, when their are lip locked in a scorcher the door opens and there is the team coach standing staring and now yelling. When she utters the words Daddy, Bishop's having a heart stopping moment, until she throws in he's her fiancé. There begins the story of Brooke and Bishop who are trying to put on a show for not just her father, but the rest of the team. Brooke isn't thrilled with her job that was pretty much created for her. She left a job she loved in NY to follow her dad to Arizona, her concern over his grief after losing her mother, his wife. Coach is having a rough time and Brooke is concerned. Part of her thinks once she knows he's ok, she'll go back to NY and her old job. Bishop and Brooke have a great relationship and I loved both of them. Their characters were perfect, well developed and there wasn't anything not to like. The story had great flow and I really loved what a stand up guy Bishop was. It was refreshing to read a book where the two MC's actually talked to each other. Of course we meet some of the other team members and can't wait to read those stories.
Bishop and Brooke hit some curves and bumps along the way, but it goes out with a bang not a whimper. Perfect story and stellar read. Ready for the next book.
arc from NetGalley and publisher for an honest review

Bishop is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance hockey series, and was a great start to this new series. When the new team was created all the hockey teams had players pulled for this new team. Now Bishop is in a new place and things are looking good for him. Even better when he meets a beautiful woman at a bar and she wants to go home with him. But what he wasn't counting on was seeing that same beautiful woman at work, which gets even worse when her dad walks in on them.
I enjoyed Bishop's character even though he's a manwhore. I enjoyed the chemistry between Brooke and Bishop, and thought they were a fun couple. Brooke is not a pushover, and is a strong female which I really liked, as well as her bluntness. The story flowed well, and I really enjoyed it up until the end. The end is why I only rated it at 4 stars. The end just stops, the book was building up and up and then bam... it ends. Which really disappointed me. I wish an epilogue or something more would have been done. It made the book feel unfinished which bugged me since I was absolutely loving the book. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

What a great start for Sawyer Bennett’s new Arizona Vengeance hockey series!
From a one-night stand to being engaged the next day, Bishop didn’t know what hit him, but he handled the situation and Brooke with patience and kindness. Neither of them were looking for a relationship but after spending so much time together to keep the ruse up especially for Brooks’s dad, they both realize that this is something worth pursuing.
This book has also introduced us to a interesting cast of characters that I can’t wait to hear more about as this series continues.

Bishop is the first book in a new series by Sawyer Bennett. The series is about a new expansion hockey team names the Arizona Vengeance. Bishop is a new player that means bed from NY. He has a one night stand only to find out that the women is his new coach’s daughter. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and get to know the other players,

4 stars
Bishop is the first book in the new hockey series Arizona Vengeance by Sawyer Bennett and I really enjoyed it.
The storyline is well written, well paced and I ended up reading it in one sitting.
Bishop and Brooke may have started out as a one night stand but after they agree to their little arrangement it quickly starts to develop into something both where not looking for but why not enjoy and explore this attraction while they could ;)
I loved watching Bishop and Brooke's relationship unfold, from the first meeting you can see they were going to make the bedroom sheet's burn with all their hotness. The chemistry between them was on point and seriously HOT!
It warmed my heart seeing them getting to know each other, opening up, sharing their pasts, their dreams and encouraging and supporting each other. This may have started as a one night of unforgettable sex but it turns into two people find their other half and unconditional love.
Another plus was getting to meet Bishop's teammates, Erik, Legend, Dax and Tacker. Watching friendships form and a little bit thrown in to incite us to come back and read their story's when the talented Sawyer Bennett shares her boys with us.
I'm praying to the book Gods above that Ms Bennett shares Tacker's story with us because that young man is breaking my heart with his pain :'(
Bishop is a great start to the new Hockey series Arizona Vengeance Series by Sawyer Bennett. It's a little dirtier than her Cold Fury books and I for one cannot wait to read more ;)
Erik's book is due next, I'm very interested to see how Erik will win Blue's heart, that boy has his work cut out for him lol

This is the first book in a new series and it starts us off right! We jump right into the action and it never lets up. The sparks fly between Bishop and Brooke making this a fun, sexy, and intense storyline that kept my attention from start to finish. I loved the duel point of view so I always knew what our characters were thinking. Throw in some big shot hockey players and a crazy ex-coworker and this story has a little bit of everything.
I'm not sure how Sawyer manages to do it but, she's already got me bouncing on my toes in anticipation for the whole starting lines ups books. She integrated these guys so easily and so well into this storyline that I'm already in love with them all and I can't wait to see who's next.
I've always been a huge fan of the Carolina Cold Fury but, the Arizona Vengeance might just steal the show!

"While I'm fucking stunned over how much I enjoyed these last few days with Brooke, I'm also freaked out over how much I enjoyed these last few days with Brooke."
How thrilled I was when I learned that Sawyer Bennett was writing another hockey series. I'm a huge fan of her Cold Fury series and was sad when it was over. What a fun new twist Bishop has taken, the #FakeFiancé route. Even though I knew it was coming after reading the synopsis, the anticipation of waiting for it was exciting.
Bishop earned my respect early one. He's not just a cocky arrogant professional athlete that expects to get everything he wants like so many others. He's actually feeling a little insecure after being released by his former team and nervous about his place in the new Arizona Vengeance expansion team. He's going to have to prove himself all over again. Deciding to blow off some steam at a club before his first team meeting he runs into her. She's gorgeous and smart and everything he's looking for... for one night.
Brooke is new to Arizona and even though she's the daughter of the coach, she doesn't follow hockey or know the players. So, when Bishop approaches her she has no clue he's a player for her father's team. It's just instant attraction and their bodies do all the talking. They get to know each other very closely, but without words. Maybe a few moans and screams, but no names or phone numbers were exchanged. Neither was disappointed by their memorable night together, but they never planned to see each other again.
Woo Hoo! What fun it was to be inside Bishop's head as he walked down the hall and noticed his hot one-night-stand sitting behind a desk the next morning. Let's just say he talks dirty in his thoughts too. I thoroughly enjoyed mentally watching their reconnection scene play out. Knowing that they would realize each other's previously undisclosed identity and barely have time to process it before her father walked in on them getting reacquainted (wink-wink). Without thinking, because the lust overrode her thoughts, she blurted out to her father that Bishop was her fiancé.
It just gets better from there as they scramble to keep up with their charade. That instant attraction that they felt never dissipates, it just gets stronger. What happens when convincing others that they are in a relationship becomes way too easy? Will they be ready to breakup when the time comes? How long will they be able to hide from the truth when everyone else seems to already know it?
I loved not only the hockey details but the unexpected turn the story took. The author kept me invested and excited as the couple skated on thin ice. I'm loving this new series and I can't wait for the next installment. There's a particular player that I'm yearning for, but my guess is that he'll be the last one to tell his story. I can't wait!!! The line forms here...

When Sawyer Bennett announced her new hockey romance series, I automatically added all the books to my TBR. As always, Bennett delivered a great story with a fabulous heroine and hero, and also, some hockey.
I loved the set up of this story so much. One night stand to fauxmance to romance. I always enjoy seeing this type of relationship evolve into something real, and Bishop and Brooke are no exception to this rule. They had great chemistry. They were fun and playful, but you could totally see it turning into more. They shared laughs and hot sex, but they also found themselves confiding in each other, venting to one another, and sharing quite a few sweet and tender moments too.
Bishop was an interesting hero. He seemed to be this macho alpha type, but then he started talking about his mom, and this whole other side of him was revealed. I watched him turn from this party playboy to a one woman man. It was gradual, and I really liked the way Bennett slowly pulled back his layers.
Brooke was, simply put, a really nice person. She uprooted her life to move to Arizona in order to lend emotional support to her dad. She showed kindness, when other people didn't, and I found her really easy to like. At one point I was shaking my head, because her big heart got her into a little situation, but I never stopped rooting for her.
I have to say, I am really excited about this series. Bennett introduced many of the members of the Vengeance, and I am looking forward to getting to know them better. I have to admit, I am most excited about Tacker's book. He was one of the most complicated players we met, and I KNOW his story will, no doubt, be super emotional.
Overall: A fun and sexy start to a series I am excited about.
