Bishop is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance hockey series, and was a great start to this new series. When the new team was created all the hockey teams had players pulled for this new team. Now Bishop is in a new place and things are looking good for him. Even better when he meets a beautiful woman at a bar and she wants to go home with him. But what he wasn't counting on was seeing that same beautiful woman at work, which gets even worse when her dad walks in on them.
I enjoyed Bishop's character even though he's a manwhore. I enjoyed the chemistry between Brooke and Bishop, and thought they were a fun couple. Brooke is not a pushover, and is a strong female which I really liked, as well as her bluntness. The story flowed well, and I really enjoyed it up until the end. The end is why I only rated it at 4 stars. The end just stops, the book was building up and up and then bam... it ends. Which really disappointed me. I wish an epilogue or something more would have been done. It made the book feel unfinished which bugged me since I was absolutely loving the book. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

What a great start for Sawyer Bennett’s new Arizona Vengeance hockey series!

From a one-night stand to being engaged the next day, Bishop didn’t know what hit him, but he handled the situation and Brooke with patience and kindness. Neither of them were looking for a relationship but after spending so much time together to keep the ruse up especially for Brooks’s dad, they both realize that this is something worth pursuing.
This book has also introduced us to a interesting cast of characters that I can’t wait to hear more about as this series continues.

Bishop is the first book in the new hockey series Arizona Vengeance by Sawyer Bennett and I really enjoyed it.

The storyline is well written, well paced and I ended up reading it in one sitting.
Bishop and Brooke may have started out as a one night stand but after they agree to their little arrangement it quickly starts to develop into something both where not looking for but why not enjoy and explore this attraction while they could ;)
I loved watching Bishop and Brooke's relationship unfold, from the first meeting you can see they were going to make the bedroom sheet's burn with all their hotness. The chemistry between them was on point and seriously HOT!

It warmed my heart seeing them getting to know each other, opening up, sharing their pasts, their dreams and encouraging and supporting each other. This may have started as a one night of unforgettable sex but it turns into two people find their other half and unconditional love.

Another plus was getting to meet Bishop's teammates, Erik, Legend, Dax and Tacker. Watching friendships form and a little bit thrown in to incite us to come back and read their story's when the talented Sawyer Bennett shares her boys with us.

I'm praying to the book Gods above that Ms Bennett shares Tacker's story with us because that young man is breaking my heart with his pain :'(

Bishop is a great start to the new Hockey series Arizona Vengeance Series by Sawyer Bennett. It's a little dirtier than her Cold Fury books and I for one cannot wait to read more ;)

Erik's book is due next, I'm very interested to see how Erik will win Blue's heart, that boy has his work cut out for him lol

This is the first book in a new series and it starts us off right! We jump right into the action and it never lets up. The sparks fly between Bishop and Brooke making this a fun, sexy, and intense storyline that kept my attention from start to finish. I loved the duel point of view so I always knew what our characters were thinking. Throw in some big shot hockey players and a crazy ex-coworker and this story has a little bit of everything.

I'm not sure how Sawyer manages to do it but, she's already got me bouncing on my toes in anticipation for the whole starting lines ups books. She integrated these guys so easily and so well into this storyline that I'm already in love with them all and I can't wait to see who's next.

I've always been a huge fan of the Carolina Cold Fury but, the Arizona Vengeance might just steal the show!

"While I'm fucking stunned over how much I enjoyed these last few days with Brooke, I'm also freaked out over how much I enjoyed these last few days with Brooke."

How thrilled I was when I learned that Sawyer Bennett was writing another hockey series. I'm a huge fan of her Cold Fury series and was sad when it was over. What a fun new twist Bishop has taken, the #FakeFiancé route. Even though I knew it was coming after reading the synopsis, the anticipation of waiting for it was exciting.

Bishop earned my respect early one. He's not just a cocky arrogant professional athlete that expects to get everything he wants like so many others. He's actually feeling a little insecure after being released by his former team and nervous about his place in the new Arizona Vengeance expansion team. He's going to have to prove himself all over again. Deciding to blow off some steam at a club before his first team meeting he runs into her. She's gorgeous and smart and everything he's looking for... for one night.

Brooke is new to Arizona and even though she's the daughter of the coach, she doesn't follow hockey or know the players. So, when Bishop approaches her she has no clue he's a player for her father's team. It's just instant attraction and their bodies do all the talking. They get to know each other very closely, but without words. Maybe a few moans and screams, but no names or phone numbers were exchanged. Neither was disappointed by their memorable night together, but they never planned to see each other again.

Woo Hoo! What fun it was to be inside Bishop's head as he walked down the hall and noticed his hot one-night-stand sitting behind a desk the next morning. Let's just say he talks dirty in his thoughts too. I thoroughly enjoyed mentally watching their reconnection scene play out. Knowing that they would realize each other's previously undisclosed identity and barely have time to process it before her father walked in on them getting reacquainted (wink-wink). Without thinking, because the lust overrode her thoughts, she blurted out to her father that Bishop was her fiancé.

It just gets better from there as they scramble to keep up with their charade. That instant attraction that they felt never dissipates, it just gets stronger. What happens when convincing others that they are in a relationship becomes way too easy? Will they be ready to breakup when the time comes? How long will they be able to hide from the truth when everyone else seems to already know it?

I loved not only the hockey details but the unexpected turn the story took. The author kept me invested and excited as the couple skated on thin ice. I'm loving this new series and I can't wait for the next installment. There's a particular player that I'm yearning for, but my guess is that he'll be the last one to tell his story. I can't wait!!! The line forms here...

When Sawyer Bennett announced her new hockey romance series, I automatically added all the books to my TBR. As always, Bennett delivered a great story with a fabulous heroine and hero, and also, some hockey.

I loved the set up of this story so much. One night stand to fauxmance to romance. I always enjoy seeing this type of relationship evolve into something real, and Bishop and Brooke are no exception to this rule. They had great chemistry. They were fun and playful, but you could totally see it turning into more. They shared laughs and hot sex, but they also found themselves confiding in each other, venting to one another, and sharing quite a few sweet and tender moments too.

Bishop was an interesting hero. He seemed to be this macho alpha type, but then he started talking about his mom, and this whole other side of him was revealed. I watched him turn from this party playboy to a one woman man. It was gradual, and I really liked the way Bennett slowly pulled back his layers.

Brooke was, simply put, a really nice person. She uprooted her life to move to Arizona in order to lend emotional support to her dad. She showed kindness, when other people didn't, and I found her really easy to like. At one point I was shaking my head, because her big heart got her into a little situation, but I never stopped rooting for her.

I have to say, I am really excited about this series. Bennett introduced many of the members of the Vengeance, and I am looking forward to getting to know them better. I have to admit, I am most excited about Tacker's book. He was one of the most complicated players we met, and I KNOW his story will, no doubt, be super emotional.

Overall: A fun and sexy start to a series I am excited about.

What the heck, Jenna Sutton and team? I've enjoyed your previous books, but this one read as if it was written by an inexperienced kid. As if these were previously unpublished rough drafts from your school days that you didn't take the time to fine tune.

There was none of the smarts from the SF-based books (O'Reilly & Co and Trinity Distillery) and that's a big shame because those have been my go-to books to read when I get on a plane. So, for this most recent trip, I regretted not downloading other alternatives because there were a plenty of times I needed to stop reading this royal mess and actually pick up the in flight magazine and Sky Mall-like shopping guide to escape Alsania. And isn't that what your books should be? A royal escape? Instead, this one lived up to its title of being a Royal Mess. 1.5 out of 5.

I loved so many things about this story. It was well-paced and the characters were totally likable. Bishop and Brooke meet for a one-night stand and that’s all it’s ever mean to be, right?! I loved how Bishop was so excited to see her again that he didn’t hesitate to show her...which led to the crazy that would become their “relationship.”

Since we get to hear both sides of the story, it was cute to watch them find themselves and each other and really examine what their relationship was. I enjoyed their banter and their passion for each other - and their lives. It was a well crafted story and I can’t wait for more!!

Hockey is the only sport I follow in real life - and even then it’s not really at the NHL level - but I love that this author takes such great care in giving a real glimpse at what it’s like for the player - as well as the family. This book was really great because as I was reading I was thinking about all those Vegas Knights that had a similar experience to Bishop and his teammates just this year! That made the story so much better for me personally!!

Stand-alone series are some of my favorites because you can meet so many characters and even if you don’t know the previous stories you can enjoy the next ones, BUT I really love when I get in on the first one and can look forward to the future stories even more! Since Bishop is the first in the Arizona Vengeance series, I am super excited to continue the series with future books, though I’m disappointed that Dax isn’t next!

Brooke is a nice girl and a people pleaser, but she takes it too far (to the point that she's really a doormat). The premise of the book, Brooke inventing a relationship with Bishop to save face with her father (the coach), hinges on the fact that Brooke is such a people-pleaser. All the problems with the antagonist also stem for the fact that Brooke lacks some spine. But setting aside her character flaws, I enjoyed the relationship between Bishop and Brooke. She acts much more normal with him and he doesn't take advantage of her excessive need to please people. So, even though I became frustrated with her as times, I found myself rooting for them as a couple. I am looking forward to Erik's story!

5 star Review Bishop (Arizona Vengeance #1) by Sawyer Bennett
This is the first book in a new series from Sawyer Bennett and she is off to a flying start and I do believe she has another winning series on her hands. This is Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron’s story.
This is hockey at it’s finest. I loved the dynamic between Bishop and Brooke, he is sexually dominant and knows what he wants and goes after it. Hooking up for what they both expect to be a one night stand, Bishop is shocked when he finds out that Brooke is the daughter of his new coach and even worse that she also works for the team.
I was absolutely hooked on this book from the first to the last chapter and couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I loved the banter and humour as well. Throwing up a smokescreen engagement when her father catches them kissing it was fun to see these two travel the path together as the walls between them fell.
There is plenty of action on and off the ice and I cannot wait to see where Sawyer Bennett takes this team and I am excited for the next release in the series.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

Of course I was excited to get another series about hockey hotties. And I'm happy to report Bishop did not let me down. Since I love sports, I liked that there was plenty of actual hockey talk but not so much that if you aren't into it, you'd be bored or put off by it. I loved Bishop and Brooke and I wouldn't change a thing about their characters. (Especially the bedroom parts) There were just enough glimpses of the other guys on the team to really get me excited for their books. Or hope for a Vengeance vs. Cold Fury matchup??

I thought this story was another exceptional story from Sawyer Bennett! Brooke and Bishop were sexy, fiery and addicting. Brooke was sassy and string and the perfect match to Bishop. While I thought it was a little far- fetched to suddenly announce themselves as being engaged I went with it as I couldn't put it down. All in all this was great and I look forward to more from this author n the future!

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

Sawyer Bennett is back with more hockey action and the newest team in the league, the Arizona Vengeance and star play Bishop Scott. The night before training camp is due to begin for the new team, Bishop is out on the town with teammates and spots Brooke across the bar. The two have an incredible night together but never plan on seeing one another again. Little does Bishop know that Brooke is the coach's daughter and works for the team. When coach catches the two in a compromising position, Brooke declares that she has been secretly dating Bishop from their days in New York and the two are engaged. The fake engagement leads the two in a fake relationship, but with their chemistry quickly turns into something real.
I'm so glad that Bennett pi

An unconventional beginning and a hot hockey player always makes for a good read. Bishop starts off a playboy, but as you get to know him and his relationship with Brooke, it’s not hard to fall for him. Great start to this new series and can’t wait to read Erik’s story next!

Bishop gets traded from his New York hockey team to the newest expansion team in Arizona. He’s no thrilled about it.

He’s trying to know his colleagues but ends up meeting a lovely girl who gets stood up. The chemistry is off the charts. He wants more of her. He gets more as Brooke tell the team the are engaged.

Bishop and Brooke have settled on giving this fake relationship a try. They marvel at the fun of it, slowly begin understand the pitfalls of being of an couple when feelings appears and learn about love.

3.5 New Team/New Love Stars
* * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
What does Bishop Scott do when he's been traded to another team...and not even an established one, nope an expansion team. One that is made up of high cost players, bad attitude talents and him. He knows, he gets out of this apartment, gets a feel for the new town and maybe if he's lucky... get a little somethin', somethin' to release all of his stress...

Well, Lucky, lucky Bishop... because he hit the jackpot. Smokin' hot woman who has the same idea he has... to hit it, and hit it good...and then disappear as if nothing took place...Only problem is Bishop is kinda wanting to hit it again...

Brooke Perron cannot believe she just did that. That is Not her... hitting it and then leaving. She is not a one night stand person. But oh, this guy was something else....he made her tingle, he made her want to be dirty...and the O's delivered...something else.

Brooke is in Arizona because of her dad. She had a fantastic position in fashion in NYC but gave it up because her father is having a difficult time adjusting to the loss of her mother. Brooke offered to move out to be with him during this new beginning as the coach of the Vengeance expansion team. She is now working with the team as the one to arrange travel etc. It is not what she wants but it is a way to watch over her dad for awhile.

It is the first day for all of the players to meet the team coaches and front office types. During the meeting Brooke is introduced. Bishop cannot believe standing there right in front of the all the players is the one woman he wanted to see. Bishop decides to track her down and looks into all of the offices finally finding her.

Brooke is stunned Bishop is on the team... she had no idea of who he was or his connection to hockey. This is bad... really bad...And when Bishop comes into her office and closes the door, all the pinging and sparks that happened when they were together are going off like crazy.

The attraction to each other is so strong, when Bishop corners Brooke at her desk and starts to kiss and whisper in her ear all sorts of naughty naughty things he wanted to do to her, she forgets where she is... and starts to melt and let go....

The door slams opens and they split apart looking as guilty as can be but playing it off as if they aren't...Because the one who opened that door...

Yup, it's her dad, Bishop's Coach... and the next thing Bishop hears out that sweet month he had been kissing is they are ENGAGED and isn't that terrific! Brooke knows she pulled that out of her a@@ but she didn't want Bishop to get into trouble with her dad...and she also didn't want her dad to get on her case.

So now what do they do...Well, after saying she's sorry for the millionth time, they figure out a plan to fake it for awhile and then break up. That is all well and good until they both fall hardcore for each other.

Bishop is this free floater who never had a relationship or friendship with a woman. What started out as interest due to sexy times develops into more and he is taken back by it. He grows as a person and also matures as a player for the team. Brooke is a smart gal, talented and capable. She is conflicted because she loves her dad, hates lying to him and wants a true career too. She is also finding Bishop to be much more than what she had pigeon-holed him. He is nothing like all the other hockey players she had to deal with through her father's career.

This was a perfect set up for the new Hockey Series for Sawyer Bennett. We were taken through the whole experience of a team coming together with all of the different personalities, quirks and needs.
Sawyer Bennett knows how to write hockey, the players and women who capture their hearts.

A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.

Bishop heats up the ice with brand new hockey team the Arizona vengeance! Sawyer does a fantastic job of setting this team up— there are already several players whose story I can’t wait for! I won’t lie I was a little worried to read another hockey series that’s not the Carolina Cold Fury because those were all so amazing— this doesn’t disappoint!

The coaches daughter and team co captain bishop are caught in a compromising potion by none other than the coach himself. From there, the web of fibs unfolds and eventually reaches a tipping point!

Some of the drama was just “eh” for me but it didn’t at all detract from this story! Four star read!!!

Here the author Sawyer Bennett introduces us to the series with a new group of players of hóqueis taking us back to the world of sports with heroes and sweet and sexy ladies and funny. The story here is of Bishop, a team player Arizona Vengeance, after a warm night with Brooke finds herself in an unusual situation. I liked the story, cliché and predictable, but nothing to take the fun out of the story.

Bishop is incredibly sexy, fun, captivating and can sometimes be an alpha male. I liked him immediately. And Brooke was not behind, she's smart, intelligent and cunning. And together they formed a great pair and their chemistry was great.

Surely this book came to show the potential of this new series, with a fun, romantic history and quick to read.

The premise of this novel sounded so great! I love hockey romances, and this seemed like it would be a great one. Overall I was disappointed with this book. There were some parts of the romance that seemed a little rapey, the male love interest didn't ask for consent for certain things, and the female said it was hot. He never asked her what she was interested in, he just did whatever he liked and then asked her about it afterwards. The male love interest was also very possessive at times, and it didn't seem very healthy.
