What happens when Sawyer Bennett starts a new series... You stay up all night devouring it!! Bishop was an absolute amazing book. There were hints of the newest NHL Expansion team scattered throughout this book, if you aren't a hockey fan, you are totally missing out. The characters on this new team are amazing and well developed. The storyline, so crazy it works and hooks you from page one! This is a one-sitter for sure. Even in the midst of working, cooking, and having kids home on summer break, managed to read cover to cover in about 5 hours. 10 Super Pucks!!! Cannot wait for Erik!!!

Bishop is my first hockey romance by Sawyer Bennett, and it is also the first book of her new series Arizona Vengeance.
It took a few chapters for me to warm up to this book. Initially, I did not really care for Brooke. She was overly apologetic about her role in her and Bishop's fake relationship, and it became a bit grating. Move on and make the best of it, or admit the truth.
I also had some issues with the way Brooke allowed her "friend" to treat her; she was much too accommodating to this girl.
On the other hand, I enjoyed the easy connection Bishop and Brooke shared. They fit well together, and I was glad to see their one-night stand turn into a meaningful relationship.
I really liked the friendship and camaraderie between the guys on the team as well, and I look forward to reading their stories next.

A new hockey series and a new team of players for sports romance fans to delight in.
I’m not a fan of book that starts with a bang, literally, and such stories can cause me to quickly lose interest. Add to that a new series with unknown characters and it can take me some time to settle in to a story, and that’s exactly what happened with Bishop. I was expecting the usual light hearted banter and hockey themed romance but Bishop is more like Christian Grey with a puck. He is sexually dominant and knows what he wants from his life on and off the ice. This take no prisoners attitude was slightly off putting at the start until I got to know Bishop and Brooke. Slowly but surely these two characters got under my skin - and each other’s - as their crazy plan for the benefit of Brooke’s father becomes a reality as Bishop and Brooke start to develop feelings for one another other as their relationship walls start to crumble.
By half way through, the story had me well and truly hooked and now I can’t wait to read about the rest of the Arizona Vengeance team. From Dax and Erik, your quintessential playboys, to the mysterious and grieving Tacker, I can’t wait to read on in this series.

Not overly thrilled with this nook. It was an ok read. I really didn’t get into the characters. They seemed flat and their dialogue and actions almost cookie cutter. Bishop didn’t really stand out to me as someone I would like to spend time with. They both assumed that everyone around them was stupid and wouldn’t see through them. There is a ton of sex and it seemed like the story was fit around it. I love hockey and have read a few hockey stories, but again this didn’t float my boat.
Received an ARC from NetGalley.

Good story, but somewhat predictable. Brooke has a one night stand with a NHL player but doesn't realize it, but finds out the next morning when he pops up in her office when walking by. Brooke started out so strong at the bar with two guys vying for her attention and how she played it out strong and confident to her character being overly nice and naive. Loved Bishop as he calls them like he sees them and had Nanette pegged from the beginning. The two of them were cute together. Can't wait to read about the rest of the guys on the Arizona team.

Thus book was H-O-T, hot!!
I just love me some hockey players. With all the padding in the uniforms you can only fantasize about what's under them. I am so into sports romances lately and this one did not sisappoint.
The coaches daughter and his star player ... what could go wrong with that scenario? Oh, I dunno.
It's steamy, sexy with lots of hockey players ( who hopefully get their own books) and a downright enjoyable read.

Bishop is the first book in the new Arizona Vengeance series by Sawyer Bennett.
Bishop Scott is a professional hockey player who is signed on to the new Vengeance team. The day before training camp he has a one night stand with Brooke. He never thought he would see her again after that night.
Brooke, who is also new to Arizona, decided to have a one night stand with Bishop and never expected to see him again, until he showed up in her office at the new Vengeance arena and her father caught them in an intimate situation.
Real one night stand, fake engagement, fake relationship turned real, one crazy psycho, many steamy scenes. This story is fantastic.
My one issue is that I felt it just ended, there wasn't closure to Brooke and Bishop, but since this is a series I am hoping we get more of them and their relationship in the future stories with Erik and Legend.

I love hockey, I love Sawyer Bennett, and I loved Bishop. Both the character and the book.
Let me first say that you do not by any means have to be a fan of hockey to enjoy this book. It’s just an added perk, I guess. Especially if you’re like me and you’re itching for the season to start, this is a great way to whet your hockey appetite.
Hockey aside, this book is a great love story. I love a good starts-as-a-fake-relationship story. I thought both Bishop and Brooke were interesting characters. Bishop is a good guy with a big heart. He’s never settled down because he’s a hotshot hockey player that had no reason to. But beyond that, he’s not a womanizer in any way and I loved that about him.
Brooke is a slightly different story. While overall I really liked her (especially when she was with Bishop), she kind of ticked me off. She would run when things go hard and I just wanted her to step up and stop being such a wuss.
The “villain” in this story I thought was really well done, because a few times she had me cheering for Brooke to just murder her. So, mission accomplished? Speaking of, I feel like there was so much left unanswered, though I suspect that will be wrapped up in the next book, which I admittedly can’t wait to read.
If you’re a fan of Sawyer Bennett’s writing, I think you’ll also love this one. And if you’ve never read her, this would even be a great book to start on since it’s the beginning of a new series. As I said before, no knowledge or appreciation of hockey required. I definitely recommend this solid sports romance.

4 Stars!
Bishop Scott is a professional hockey player who just relocated from New York to Phoenix to play for the NHL's newest expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance. He's going to have to adjust to a new city, coach and team. It's the last night before training camp starts. He decides the perfect way to end his summer vacation is a night out with friends. He also hopes to find someone to spend the evening with. He meets a gorgeous woman named Brooke, and has one of the best one night stands of his life.
Bishop never expects to see Brooke again, so he's shocked when he arrives at the arena and she's at his place of employment. He soon learns she's Brooke Perron, the daughter of his new head coach. When they are caught by her father in an intimate embrace, Brooke panics, and announces they are engaged. Things escalate and Bishop finds himself agreeing to this farce. He figures what harm can a few weeks of a fake engagement do. Brooke is stunning, and he wouldn't mind a little more time with her. They have a game plan and an expiration date. No expectations or complications. They are both thoroughly enjoying the benefits of their arrangement, and can't get enough of each other. Soon all the pretending begins to feel real, and they suddenly have to keep reminding themselves this is all to be an act. Brooke is falling hard for Bishop which isn't part of the deal, and at the same time Bishop is realizing he doesn't want things to end between them.
Book one in the Arizona Vengeance series kicked off the series with a fabulous start! It was sexy, and full of passion and unexpected love. I can't wait for Erik's book up next! :))

As a big fan of Sawyer Bennett's Cold Fury series, I was super excited about the men of Arizona Vengeance. Unfortunately, I was unexpectedly turned off by Bishop's initial sexual blackmail of Brooke. This was a shocker because I usually love seeing Sawyer Bennett's big, brash hockey gods fall for their women.
Bishop and Brooke are off to a scorching hot start with the one night stand of their lives. Neither intended to see the other ever again. That is, until Brooke's dad (and Bishop's coach) catches them in her office and Brooke lies about a pseudo-engagement to save Bishop. Don't get me wrong - I love a good fake engagement. I even had a pang when Brooke revealed she did it because her father has been mourning the loss of his wife. Unfortunately, it was Bishop who acted like a greedy opportunist and essentially expected sex from Brooke to perpetuate their lie. Ugh, no.
"If I'm supposed to act madly but stupidly in love with you, well... you're just going to have to give me something to help me past that anger so I look like I'm crazy head over heels for you and don't actually want to strangle you."
While Brooke tries to call him out on this ("So you're blackmailing me for sex? Or are you punishing me?"), Bishop makes it worse by justifying himself because Brooke is clearly still hot for him.
And while I think my anger toward her is justified and I'm okay with taking advantage of it a bit, I also have to be honest.
No, Bishop, you need to stop talking. I was really thrown by how he just casually demanded sex from Brooke to perpetuate the lie she created to SAVE BISHOP'S JOB. Ugh, no times two.
One by one, I've read Sawyer Bennett's Cold Fury series and loved seeing alpha hockey dudes fall head over heels and become devoted to their women but I've never seen one so douchetastic. As a longtime Sawyer Bennett reader, I'm looking forward to the other Arizona Vengeance guys - Tracker, please! But Bishop was not the right intro for me to the team.

Bishop is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance Series. Sawyer Bennett is back with more hockey action. The Arizona Vengeance Team offers a new cast of characters to explore. Bishop Scott is thrilled to have been picked up by the Vengeance and doesn't waste any time getting acclimated to the nightlife of his new city. After a hot one night stand, he is completely dumbstruck when he discovers that one of the sexiest nights of his life was spent with his new coach's daughter. Brooke is a new transplant to Arizona. After giving up her career in NYC in order to help her father, she never expected to be swept off her feet by one of her father's star players. When Brooke's Dad discovers Bishop and his daughter lip locked in her office, Brooke convinces her dad that she and Bishop are engaged. With a fake engagement, hot hockey action, and passion, Bishop offers a smoking hot hockey romance that you will not want to miss!
Told in dual POV, Bishop is a fast-paced romance with complex characters and a tender plot. Although the premise of their relationship seems to be completely unbelievable, it actually makes perfect sense. Brooke is completely committed to keeping her father emotionally stabilized and ensuring a successful start of the season. The passion between Bishop and Brooke is explosive and as soon as they recognize their relationship is anything but fake, they will do whatever it takes to find their HEA! With plenty of drama and support from the supporting characters, this first read in the Arizona Vengeance ushers in a brand new team with an electrifying cast of characters!
Overall, I highly recommend anything and everything written by Sawyer Bennett. With unforgettable characters and an invigorating plot, Bishop is sure to get your blood pumping. November cannot come soon enough. I cannot wait for Erik and more Arizona Vengeance.

“Bishop” starts off with a bang, and from the first-person narration of both the man himself and Brooke, our heroine, they think so too. You know the deal: a completely out-of-character hook-up turns out to be a player on your coach-daddy’s team, the Arizona Vengeance, our new hockey obsession from Sawyer Bennett.
To spare Bishop from her father’s ire, Brooke hatches a poorly-thought-out plan to pretend to be engaged. Bishop’s not happy but he is crafty so he makes sex a condition of his cooperation.
Bishop and Brooke are clueless in a way that makes you smile rather than aggravates you. He came off as a jerk to me in the beginning chapters but turns out I was as wrong about him as Brooke and her father. Along the way there is a very good villain.
Bishop’s mother and Brooke’s father turn out to be way smarter than their progeny, a refreshing change from practically any novel featuring parents. I enjoyed their scenes very much and hope we see more of them as the series develops. The ending is romantic and swoon-worthy in the way Bennett regularly pulls off, when she’s not making us cry that is, over a redemption we didn’t think could happen.
Bennett leaves us with several intriguing characters whose books I can’t wait to read. Highly recommended, but does this mean we have to say goodbye to the Carolina Fury? Say not so, Sawyer!

I loved this book! This story revolves around Brooke and Bishop's fake engagement. After a sexy night, Brooke finds out that Bishop is an NHL player for her coach father's team. In order to keep Bishop out of trouble, Brooke creates a fake engagement and the rest of the book is spent trying to prove to everyone that this engagement is real. Brooke is a likable character with a genuinely good heart. Bishop is the boyfriend we all want. The story is developed well and the peripheral/supporting characters are believable. The drama that ensues is not too far fetched. This book was a quick, easy read that kept my attention and left me wanting more. I will definitely be checking out more of this author's work!

This is a new ice hockey series by Sawyer Bennett. If you loved the Cold Fury Series, you will enjoy this book. Bishop was recently traded to the Arizona Vengeance, a new expansion team. On a night out he meets Brooke and has what they both think is a one-night stand, only to find out that they are both employed by the Arizona Vengeance. In an effort to appease Brooke’s father she announces that her and Bishop are engaged. As they play out this charade their relationship develops and they fall in love. Bishop is hot and oh so sexy! Also, intertwined in the story is a varied cast of supporting characters (many new ice hockey players that we will hopefully see in subsequent books) who really enhance the story. I really loved this book, so if you are looking for a well written, sexy read this is the book for you. Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

It’s been a minute since I’ve read a Sawyer hockey book. Dayum I forgot how hot and sexy her hockey players are. Bishop and Broke started off with a bang and they never got boring. I thought it was a pretty good fake fiancé story. Of course there’s other hockey hotties that I can’t wait to read about. I’d say the only thing that threw me was the ending. It just sorta stopped, abruptly. I was bummed that there was no epilogue, but that’s just me. I’m an epilogue type of gal.

Oh my goodness, it’s love! Another hockey series by Sawyer Bennett makes me nothing but happy! Loved the Cold Fury series and now this too. Love her hot hockey men and Bishop did not disappoint! Bishop and Brooke and their undeniable attraction to each other could not be missed. A one night stand, turned fake dating then engagement with the twists of a crazy “friend” kept me reading as fast as I could. I cannot wait for the series to continue!

This is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series. It's about Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron. Bishop has just been sent to Arizona for a brand new team after his old team left him as a free agent. On his first night in town he and a fellow teammate decide to go to a bar to try to unwind. There he meet's Brooke. Brooke is also new in town and they hit it off and decide to stay the night together. The go their separate ways never expecting to see each other. Until Bishop see's her in an office in the arena and they are getting close. And in walks her dad-his new coach. So Brooke decides in order to try to save him from any backlash since neither of them knew who the other one was, she tells her father they are engaged. And now they both have to fake a relationship in order to keep the peace with her father and the team. Never knowing how much that will change their whole lives.
I loved this book!! It had me hooked from the beginning and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Brooke and Bishop both made me laugh all the time and they had crazy hot chemistry on top of that too! The fact that they can be friends as well as lovers is just an awesome thing and kept me reading. Not to mention that they actually listen to each other and what their hopes and dreams are was beyond great!! Even when things happen that I didn't expect at all, they still manage to have each other's backs. The other characters that are introduced in this new series just make you want to read more and more. Some more so than others, once you read it you will understand exactly who I am talking about. If you have read and loved the Carolina Cold Fury series than you will absolutely love this one as well. It's a great start to the series!

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sports romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Brook falls for Bishop before she realizes that he is one of her dad's players. So she makes Bishop pretend to be her fiance. Then the roller coaster ride starts. A must read.

Nobody mixes this sort of blistering heat and heartfelt emotion like Sawyer Bennett does. I mean, I approached this book a little skeptical. I adore Ms. Bennett's Cold Fury series, so I know she can write the heck out of a hockey book, but this one didn't grab me right away and I was afraid I was maybe in for all sexy times and no substance.
Wrong.
It starts with heat. And like....~homina~ heat. And then it takes a while for things to, well, heat up emotionally. It's also the first book in a new series, so there's a bit of set-up which took a while for me to get on board with. And then, somewhere around the 25% mark, everything came together and I was 100% invested and dying for more.
Honestly, this was a sweet, sexy, heartfelt story. I loved Bishop and Brooke and the sort of wide-eyed, innocent way they fell into a relationship. I mean, they're dirty dirty, so I'm not talking innocence in that sense, but they both seemed to find their evolving relationship so surprising and almost magical - and it was really hard not to be completely charmed by that.
The set-up for the series to come has me dying for more. There are some fascinating secondary characters in this one, and so despite a sort of skeptical way I approached this book, I am on board for the entire series at this point. I don't know why I doubted, but I'm a believer now and a big big fan of the newly minted Arizona Vengeance.
