I enjoy a hockey romance, and this is the first of a new series by Sawyer Bennett. I have previously read her Cold Fury hockey series. It was ok, but not great. The setting is well developed but the central conflict of the couple was ridiculous. The entire plot could have been resolved in a single adult conversation. I also felt like the teammates that were introduced had very little development, with the exception of one.

Bishop is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series. Bishop gets transferred to the new expansion team from New York and hooks up with the beautiful woman at a bar the night before his first practice. When it turns out Brooke is the coaches' daughter, lies galore ensue in order to hide their hook up from him. The book was a good read but the "villain" in the story was an unnecessary distraction from their love story. The end also felt very rushed and incomplete. Overall, it's a fun pool read... 4 chilli peppers! Thanks Loveswept and NetGalley for this ARC

Bishop and Brooke! Fake romance! Hot sex! Virtual strangers! Things come together (no pun intended ) and a disaster waiting to happen takes a turn. Then another. I love the story and the characters. I recommend this book!

Bishop by Sawyer Bennett is the first in a new series. Like the Cold Fury Series, this series also revolves around a professional hockey team, The Arizona Vengeance. I really enjoyed Cold Fury. This series is stacking up to be just as good.
Bishop has just been traded to the Arizona Vengeance. After a night out in a new city, he meets Brooke. The two hit off right away and decided to make a night of it. Both thought that it was just one night and neither of them expect to see each other again. The following day, Bishop spots Brooke at the offices for the Vengeance. He finds out not only does Brooke work there but she is his new head coach’s daughter. Somehow they end up embroiled in fake engagement that quickly spirals out of control.
Although I’ve read books with this premise before, I thought Sawyer Bennett found a way to put a fresh spin on it. Bishop was a very sweet, decent guy (loved the relationship he had with his mom). Brooke was very sweet as well and just wanted to look out for her dad. I thought they made a perfect match. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait for the next installment.

What a great start to the new Arizona Vengeance series! Bishop was an easy and entertaining sports romance that I devoured. The fake fiance trope is always fun, and Bishop and Brooke's story is no exception. What starts out as a one night stand, snowballs into a fake relationship, until the lines between make believe and reality blur.
Bishop evolves a great deal through the book. He starts as the typical manwhore professional athlete (ugh), but what emerges as he spends more time with Brooke is someone much more sweet and thoughtful. Rest assured though that he still maintains his cocky attitude and is a pure alpha in the bedroom. I really liked Brooke and how loving and career driven she was, but I did wish that she wouldn't have been so naive when it came to her supposed "friends". I think what I liked best about the book though was that there was no unnecessary drama between Bishop and Brooke. All the angst was external and allowed Brooke and Bishop to not get caught up in misunderstandings or miscommunications. They were a united front. Yes, the main drama in the book seemed to just drop into the story, but it was still an entertaining and blood boiling addition. I just wish that there would have been more resolution to that part of the story. The book also ends a little abruptly, but since I know that more books are coming in the series, I wasn't too heartbroken to not see an epilogue.
I'm really excited for all the stories to come from this new cast of characters. There were many personalities introduced in Bishop, from other Vengeance players (seasoned and rookies) to a few people off the ice as well. Honestly, I can't wait to find out more about Tacker's heartbreaking past, but I'm also equally intrigued by GM Christian Rutherford, owner Dominik Carlson, and Bishop's BFF Dax. It looks like it will be a while before I see those stories though (if they do get books) since it appears the next 2 books in the series will feature Erik and Legend. It's going to be a amazing ride!
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

Sawyer has a hit on her hands.....Bishop and Brooke grab you from the beginning and don’t let you go. From the one night stand to the fake relationship (for her fathers sake) to the real feels and the happily ever after. I couldn’t put it down it was that good.

LOVE LOVE LOVED Bishop! It has crazy hot chemistry from the beginning and a great story line with some drama too! What starts out as a fake relationship turns into more.

Sweet baby Jesus...this book!
Bishop & Brooke have good time. They continue this good time in a very unconventional way.
God Bishop is such a dirty talking, organism giving stud...how can you not fall for him!
Brooke is a very independent, confident, daddies girl...which get's her and Bishop in a bit of a pickle.
This is a big pickle...a very big pickle that leads them into this crazy situation.
I loved this dirty, sexy, read and I can't wait for the rest of the series!

BISHOP is the first book in Sawyer Bennett’s new “Arizona Vengeance” series.; which is once again about a hockey team, which seems to be the author’s passion for a writing topic. Here we are following a new expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance, and starring has Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron here.
Bishop has moved to Phoenix, Arizona from New York for the new expansion team. At a bar the night before his first team meeting, he meets Brooke, who has also relocated recently from New York. One thing leads to another, and they end up having a one night stand. Of course, it turns out that they both work for Arizona Vengeance; and when they get caught by Brooke’s dad the coach in her office in an embrace, they end up getting themselves in a bad spot.
BISHOP has a nice romance and an interesting storyline. There are a few twists, a little bit of drama, and a lot of super sexy time. Fans of Bennett’s other hockey series will love it.

Cute. I love these hockey boys and the girls that find them liveable but I would want to punch Bishop...just saying...

I what world does a one-night-stand turn into an engagement? Well apparently in the world of Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron.
Bishop Scott is feeling a little salty, he’s been traded from his old team to a new NHL franchise, training camp’s about to start and he’s feeling the need to blow off a little steam. So when the hot little number at the bar more or less throws herself at him and suggest he come home with her, well who’s he to say “no”? What can a night of hot sex with someone he’s more than likely never going to see again hurt? Nothing until he not only runs into her the next day, but learns she works for his team, is the daughter of his new coach AND just got busted with his tongue down her throat by her dad…his new coach. Well FUCK.
Brook Perron has just recently lost her mom and because she’s worried about her dad, she gives up the job she loves in New York to spend more time with him and make sure he’s okay. All the recent events have her so stress that she decides one night of wild abandoned sex should fix her enough. Except being busted by her dad kissing the one night stand she thought she’d never see again, who happens to work for her dad and because she doesn’t want him to be in any type of trouble she blurts out to her dad that the guy kissing her and his newest hockey player is her fiancé just added to her stress. Well SHIT.
At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about these two because I just couldn’t figure them out. There were no extremely big egos or arrogant attitudes, no mommy or daddy issues. They both had good relationships with their parents or the parent in their lives, there was none of the usual issues that come along with a lot of the couples you read about. Then I figured there’s no catch; they are just two regular people two regular people who got really horny one night and banged each other hearts out. They really were two nice people who kind of got mixed up in a situation and they made the best of it. One might think, with a description like that, this would be a boring read. But it was anything but, I mean c’mon, you know Sawyer better than that. It was a really good read and watching, well reading about, two people get to know each other, become friends and fall in love. I think the whole watching them become friends was the best part of the entire book. Like I said, these were two really nice people who looked out for their friends and family and just people in general. From the way Brooke made a date of one of the players feel comfortable and welcomed at an event where she was basically snubbed, to Bishop trying to break the ice of one of the players who’d become something of a loner.
Since this is the first book in a new series this was like the introduction to storylines to come. While your getting Bishop and Brooke’s story , you’re also introduced to a host of characters that get your interest piqued and having you clamoring to learn more about them; like Erik the player and the guy with a “the type”. The type that seems to be pretty much like a particular flight attendant who seems to dislike him on sight; Then there’s Dax who’s Bishop’s best bud who was traded with him and who jumped right in to help with the charade Bishop and Brooke had going without thinking twice about it and finally there’s Tacker who’s the team loner that kind of keeps to himself and let’s himself be tortured by his demons.
I have yet to meet a Sawyer Bennett series I didn’t love and this one is shaping up to be no different, can’t wait to read more about these guys.

I absolutely loved this book! It was super hot and just amazing.
Bishop was perfect. I love a good hockey romamce

Sawyer Bennett gives us another great hockey series! I am a huge fan of the Carolina Fury series so I was anxious to get ahold of the first of the Arizona Vengence series!
Bishop and Brooke enjoy a one night stand only to find out she works for the hockey organization. Not only that- but she happens to be the coaches daughter. Caught in a compromising position that Brooke knows will make Bishop look bad to her father and it happens to be the team's first day on the job, Brooke proclaims Bishop as her fiancee. Now they must keep up the ruse and it starts to get tricky. Not only do they have to keep up their white lies and remember the facts that just don't exist- they are starting to fall for one another.

I think sports romance and Sawyer Bennett go hand and hand! She definitely knows how to write a sexy sports male lead character and I have enjoyed all her books in this genre so far!
This was a great first book in a new series. I got just enough of the secondary characters to get excited about their books (which I hope are coming soon).
I will admit that although Bishop is super alpha, is also is kind of a jerk and that took a while to get used to. Usually, Sawyer writes alpha male leads a little bit different.
But I still grew to like him and his connection to Brooke was definitely there!
I look forward to more books in this series!

Just when you think you couldn't love another Sawyer Bennett hockey team, bam she throws the Arizona Vengeance at you and boom you fall in love with the new team!
Follow the story of Bishop & Brooke, as their beginning is slightly out of the norm for her, and what happens next is one snowball after another!
I loved this new expansion team, facts are amazing, story is just....swoon...I loved it! I'm looking forward to a new brand of hockey boys to follow!! 5 trillion hockey pucks for this story!! Sticks up to salute you Sawyer!! Great job!!

I love a hockey story and this one was perfect. I loved the fake story that Bishop and Brooke came up with. It's very entertaining reading how it gets blown out of proportion. An adorable story of a accidental romance that becomes real. Great writing by Sawyer Bennett and the story flows so well you won't want to pause the story and continue later. You will need to read this in one sitting.

Sawyer Bennett can write some seriously steamy scenes with some amazingly alpha hockey hotties. I absolutely loved the Cold Fury Series and Bishop is a strong start to what is shaping up to be another amazing series, Arizona Vengeance.
Bishop and Brooke's relationship started off unconventionally, and for all intents and purposes, progessed very rapidly, but in the end they were able to find something beautiful and real, showing that fate often plays a hand in reality. Their chemistry was off the charts and this book was seriously HOT!!!
Bishop was protective and alpha but also had a soft side for Brooke, which made him completely sexy and swoon worthy. I read this book in one sitting because I could not put it down. Another 5 star hockey hero book by Sawyer Bennett.

Anytime I start a book by Sawyer Bennett I do so knowing that it's going to be good. I especially enjoy her sports romances. Bishop is a hockey player who has pretty much seen it all and done most of it. When he hooks up with a beautiful woman the night before he starts playing for a new team he's enjoying the life. Unfortunately, the woman, Brooke, turns out to be his new coach's daughter. As you can imagine this puts his career in jeopardy and together he and Brooke navigate their relationship to a great conclusion. Looking forward to the next in this new series!

I liked it well enough. It wasn’t this horrendous re-telling of her books all mashed together. It can definitely stand on it’s own. That being said it was kind of lackluster in it’s movement. It was a little slow in terms of speed.
The characters will suck you in. The game will be fiery. But the speed in which the book moves is just a little slow. It might be me. But I was expecting a fast-paced book. This was not it.
The relationship was perfect. Honestly, I think it was one of the better relationships Sawyer Bennett has ever done. It won’t be in my favorites. But it will be in my top ten.

I love a good hockey romance - and this one was very very good. A fake engagement leads to a real loving relationship. It was actually lovely to see Bishop fall right into the middle of a relationship just when it had started. I also appreciated Sawyer Bennet's writing skills - just like their relationship almost every sex scene started in the middle - every scene between Bishop and Brooke started in the middle - mirroring their relationship in every sense of the way.
The ending did feel a bit rushed - and I could have done with an epilogue to tide me over until the next book in the series comes out. That being said - I loved the sweet romance, the sexy times were super sexy, and overall I loved the book.
I was kindly granted an ARC via net galley - but the opinions are all my own!
