Wow! Wow! Wow! This is the first book I've ever read by Sawyer Bennett and holy moly!! Why did I wait so long to try out her stories? This book had humor, wit, and lots of sexiness! Damn! I had to turn down the temperature of my air conditioner because it was steamy!!
I'm so glad she has a long backlist, I know what I'll be reading this summer.

Requested and received an ARC from Netgalley.

I won’t lie and say this covers any new ground in the “fake fiance” trope but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. It’s cute that these two think this fib is gonna be over and done in a few weeks. Bishop seems to fight the inevitable longer than Brooke does, but his efforts are weak at best. For the most part this book is just a solid enjoyable romance with a cast of hockey players I can’t wait to spend more time with (I’m already jonesing for Tacker’s book and it doesn’t look like his is up any time soon) but I did have a problem with Nanette. She felt shoved into the story (as though someone suggested last minute that SB needed an antagonist) so she got added with no regard to the story that had already been built or the fact that her necessity was contradicted within a chapter of her being introduced. *big sigh* THEN to add insult to injury after enduring this weird “single white female” like character her story isn’t even wrapped up at the end. Am I the only one that thinks not every love story needs a villain? Sometimes you just want to read a boy meets girl and they eventually fall in love....no excessive drama....just two people finding their happy together with some occasional hot sex. Bishop and Brooke would have been perfect with that kind of story. Take out Nanette and add an epilogue and this would have easily been a 4-4.5 star read for me. Not sure what SB has against the epilogue but her ending always feel so abrupt that I feel like she NEEDS the epilogue just to ease the ending. Overall though a fun read and I can’t wait to get to some of the other players!

I am loving this new series from Sawyer Bennett! Arizona Vengeance is a new series, but still about smiling hot hockey players! Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron find themselves in an awkward situation when they spend a night together, only to find themselves both working for the Vengeance. To make matters worse, Brooke's dad is Bishop's new coach. Since he caught them in an embarrassing movement, Brooke leads her dad to believe there is more to them that a one night stand.

I thought this was a funny and great way to start the new series of Vegas Hockey players! I read this by the pool in one day and loved every second of it!

A very amusing and romantic story of a "fake" relationship that of course becomes very very real. I completely enjoyed the ride. Love the hockey players and the insight into the game.
Entertainment at it's finest.

New series! New hockey team! Author Sawyer Bennett pens a new hockey series featuring the men of Arizona's Vengeance. The book is full of introductions - a tall, dark, handsome and mysterious owner with a heart, a broken veteran hockey player who has given up on life, several younger, energetic rookies....and Bishop. Bishop is hot, buff, and really not interested in a serious relationship. Not interested until he meets Brooke. Brooke is young, gorgeous and also not interested in a serious relationship. Not interested until she meets Bishop. Maybe not the formula for an easy relationship but a great plot for a story that has passion, action and heart. Don't miss this exceptional beginning of another great series. You will find a familiar dedication to well developed characters, carefully plotted action and got romance. You will also find a story that will draw you in. Don't miss Sawyer Bennett's next best selling series!

Three words to describe this book: HOT, HOT, HOT. Bishop and Brooke are unforgettable. I will definitely be going back to reread this book because everything about Bishop screams book boyfriend. (Do you see what I did there?)

Bishop is an alpha male hockey player. I don’t know what it is about hockey players, but can we all just admit that they are hot? Brooke is smart and sweet. The combination of the two is fireworks.

Ugh. How long do I have to wait for Erik’s story? ;-)

Sawyer Bennett's Arizona Vengeance series is off to a fantastic start! I've always enjoyed Sawyer's hockey series and this one is going to be no exception.

Bishop Scott has been traded from New York to the new expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance. He's trying to find his footing with a new team, a new routine and a new town. While out at a bar one night, he sets his sights on a beautiful woman across the bar who is definitely returning the vibes he's sending off. Of course he just thinks it will be a one night stand and that's that. Little does he know that the woman is going to end up becoming a huge part of his life...

Brooke Perron is also new to Arizona and she's only there so she can help out her father who is still grieving the death of her mother and his wife. She wants to support her Dad, so she left a job she loved in New York to follow him and now that means that she is working where he does - for the Arizona Vengeance.

When Bishop and Brooke come face-to-face in the Vengeance offices after their one night together, they are both stunned. They are still very much attracted to one another and it's clear that Brooke had no idea that Bishop was one of her father's star players. When the two are caught in a compromising position by Brooke's father, who also is Bishop's head coach, Brooke quickly tells him they are engaged. Of course she does it to save Bishop a rash of grief from his new boss, but is it actually going to get them into a situation that will be harder to get out of or does it have the makings of a relationship that could go from fake to forever?

This was really enjoyable, the story was great and the characters were solid. I did feel like the ending was a little bit abrupt. I would have liked an epilogue or something that tied things up the drama that caused issues for them a little bit more. Overall, a very solid start to this new series. I am definitely looking forward to more!

I loved Bishop Scott! He was actually a decent man under the hockey player persona. He and Brooke's story was by turns funny and very sexy. My only issues were with Brooke, not speaking up and telling her dad the truth in the first place. And the other was letting Nanette steamroll over her. I can't see myself letting an acquaintance stay in my home, be rude and just disrupt my life. I would have like to see Nanette pay for the trouble she has caused. But all around it was a good read. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I wonder when Sawyer Bennett will ever tire of writing novels surrounding hockey players? I’ve read a couple of her books in the Carolina Cold Fury series here and there, and BISHOP follows the same flirty and romantic lines. I also commend her on her research about the behind-the-scenes surrounding the game. It was interesting to see Bishop’s pregame routine and minor details that added to the competitive atmosphere. This fake-engagement, insta-attraction romance was super fun to read! I suggest romance readers come into it for a sweet and light read, as the conflict is very superficial. It’s perfect for the summer to pick up and enjoy!

Pros
- Brooke is so sweet and down-to-earth. I love how passionate she was in her career in merchandise, and how she was willing to do anything for her father. She also got plus points in my book for not slut-shaming.
- Although the events leading up to the fake engagement between Brooke and Bishop were not plausible, I do think the author did a good job in justifying the logic behind it and the follow-up consequences.
- Bishop is also a sweetheart, if a bit dull. He’s very charming and pretty much sets his sights on Brooke from the first look. There’s honestly a bit of an insta-romance vibe from his end.
- Love the family dynamics between Bishop’s mother and him, as well as her and Brooke. This book is very light and a fast read, so the story doesn’t delve into it a lot, but I appreciate the fact that it is there in the first place.

"In all the ways I thought this stupid idea of trying to pull off a fake relationship to appease my father would go, I never thought it would be me falling for Bishop."

Cons:
- The main antagonist came out of nowhere and was very oddly written in. There was no justification for her actions and she fell into terrible tropes.
- The main conflict honestly came from this antagonist, making for a weak climax.
- Because of the aforementioned conflict and climax being underwhelming, the whole story comes off as super light and therefore not something to think too hard about.

All in all, a sweet addition to Bennett’s growing titles surrounding hockey players. I think hers are the only ones I really enjoy, because they blend flirty dialogue with awesome chemistry and seductive romance. Definitely recommended for romance readers on a hot summer day!

Content Warning: explicit sexy times

This is the best book of this author for sure!! I can't wait for more from this series!! I loved Bishop from beginning to end!

Bishop was an okay read for me. There were things I liked and disliked about this story and there were characters I loved and hated. I enjoyed Bishop and his mom, Brooke and her dad and the team players. I hated Nanette. I liked Blue and I wonder if she will make an appearance in another story. I loved how protective Bishop was of Brooke. The beginning of this story seemed to take off, it was a steamy one but then the story seemed to move at a slower pace. I was hoping the flow would pick up but it didn't and I think that, that was my biggest problem with this story. The ending was also okay but to be honest I was really expecting a bit more than the way it ended; it seemed rushed. Overall, I enjoyed the storyline and the characters and I believe that had the story's flow picked up just a little and the ending was a little better, this could have been a 5 star read for me.

Bishop by Sawyer Bennett is part of the new ice hockey series, an Arizona Vengeance novel and tells the story of Bishop and Brooke.

Bishop is a player on the new expansion team and Brook is the coach’s daughter. She also works for the team and when her father catches them together, after a one-night stand she lies and tells her father they are engaged.

If you loved Sawyer Bennett’s Carolina Cold Fury series, also about hockey players you will love the beginning of this series. Each story can be read as a stand-a-lone.

This is a sweet, fun story told from a dual point of view and you will have to read the story to see if Bishop and Brooke turn a fake engagement into a real one.

I think you’ll enjoy the start of this new series and I can’t wait for Erik’s story, which is coming soon.

Hockey in the desert can get pretty hot! Loved this sexy story, mixed with just the right amount of my favorite sport. Bishop and Brooke are perfect for each other, even if they don't realize what they have is more than just casual. The storyline has some fun (crazy) twists, and the side characters are definitely worthy of their own future books.

I found it so cute and entertaining! This series is going to be so much fun. Bishop and Brooke's time together is a mess with the potential to get bigger with each lie but he won't let that happen. Instead he makes the moments endearing and takes the time to get to know her. She practically molds to him. But how can she not?! He is incredibly manly, charming and protective as well. Plus he is so adorable when he doesn't want to accept the reality of his feelings but still manages to continue a relationship under the idea of a ruse. An unwanted guest will keep everyone on their toes, will have you wanting to strangle her and will threaten their new and easy flowing lives. But Bishop won't let that happen, what they have is just too natural.

Wow! Great book!! This is going to be such a great series!! I can't wait for more! This is the first book in the Arizona vengeance series, a new hockey team, and omg these characters are freaking awesome!! This is Bishop and Brooke book! Bishop is brand new to the team actually they all are cuz it's a new team! Brooke is the head coach daughter, bishop meets Brooke before either of them starts their new jobs with the team. They don't know that each other is with the team they basically just have a one night stand! Big surprise when bishop walks in on the first day to see Brooke there! Well Brooke thinks her daddy is going to be upset when he catches them together so she says bishop is her fiancee!! There's a reason why she does that but you'll have to read to find out! I highly recommend this book!!! It is a great read!! I can't wait for more! Thank you NetGalley and loveswept penguin random house publishers for sharing this book with me! And a big thank you to Sawyer Bennett for another amazing read!

Well if Bishop is any indication, this is going to be another fantastic hockey series by Sawyer Bennett! The Arizona Vengeance is a new expansion team and Bishop Scott is one of it’s star players. Brooke is new to Arizona so she does not know who the hot and sexy man is that she decides to have a steamy one night stand with. It isn’t until the next day when he shows up in her office, because she is working for the Vengeance and her father is the coach. Yikes! This is certainly an interesting turn of events that sets off some more very interesting events. Can a one night stand, that becomes a fake relationship, turn into forever?
I absolutely love Bishop & Brooke! It’s such a fun and sexy read!

I’m a huge fan of the cold fury series, so I was very excited to see sawyer Bennett writing another hockey series. Bishop is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series, and I can already tell this series is going to be amazing!!! This is Bishop and Brooke’s story and is a fake fiancé series. They have a one night stand that gets complicated when Brooke is the daughter of Bishops new coach. Caught in a compromising position, Brooke announces they are engaged. Willl they turn this fake engagement into a real one? I can’t wait to read the rest of this amazing series!

I read a complimentary arc from the author for review purposes.

I LOVED this new story from author Sawyer Bennett. It is a fun new series about a new Arizona Hockey Team. Bishop is the new kid on the block and on his first night he meets Brooke who he has a one night stand with. The next day he runs out on her and then sees her at the hockey center. They end up very close and when her dad, his coach finds them, Brooke realises that Bishop could be in trouble so she claims they are engaged.

Bishop meanwhile feels like it is fate and so he goes with it. I loved his character so much. He is very open to life and love and he was a really fun character. He and Brooke get to know each other and while having hot sex, they also become very close friends and fall in love. But what happens when her dad finds out the truth?

This was a HOT and fun story and I cannot wait for more in this series.

I love sports romance, hockey in particular. I’ve read loved everyone of Sawyer Bennett’s Carolina Cold Fury series, and her new hockey series following new expansion team the Arizona Vengeance has started off with a fantastic story following Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron. I have been following the real life NHL expansion team the Vegas Golden Knights all year (who doesn’t love the underdog) and I’ve got to say I feel exactly the same way about the Arizona Vengeance, I just hope at the end of the season they manage to secure the Cup, I have a sneaky feeling they may be competing against Carolina Cold Fury. Bishop has moved to Phoenix from New York and the night before his first team meeting he meets Brooke, who as it happens has also relocated recently from New York, in a bar, one thing leads to another and they both end up having the best one night stand of their lives. Of course it turns out that they both work for Arizona Vengeance and when they get caught in Brooke’s office in an embrace, by the hockey coach, who also happens to be Brook’s dad, they end up getting themselves in rather a pickle. A wonderful storyline with some very unexpected twists, a little bit of drama and a lot of super sexy time. Going up there as one of my favourite reads this year, I can’t wait for more. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
