I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. I have to say I was highly impressed and really enjoyed this book. I am a huge hockey fan so always love a good hockey romance and Sawyer Bennett did not disappoint! I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series when they come out.
This book follows Bishop, a hot shot hockey star on a newly expanded NHL team, and Brooke, the daughter of Bishop's new coach. Both are new to Phoenix and are out on the town for a little fun and relaxation where the two meet and engage in a one night stand. No numbers or last names are exchanged but imagine both their surprise when they both end up at the hockey arena the next day; Brooke in the front office and Bishop as a hockey player. Some would call it fate until Brooke's father (also Bishop's new coach) catch them in a compromising position in her office. A "little" white lie later and the two are engaged. Fast forward to them being a fake relationship that is quickly becoming real when (of course) someone has to try to ruin it. Enter a narcissistic and slightly sociopathic "friend" from Brooke's past who inserts herself into Brooke's life. Needless to say, this so called friend causes a huge spectacular that puts a lot of guilt on Brooke. Can Bishop convince her it isn't her fault and keep her in Phoenix? Or will Brooke run scared?
Book is very well written with a great plotline. I really enjoyed both Bishop and Brooke's personalities; neither was off putting as a main character. I also enjoyed how the author involved the secondary characters that you know will become the main character in the next book. Really gets you hyped for the next read which I cannot wait for.

4 Steamy CROWNS
Sawyer Bennett writes it all: contemporary romance, sports romance, suspense romance, etc. No matter what she writes, you know what is always the same? How freaking HOT it is always is. I can always count her to deliver a fun read and that steamy, especially when it comes to her hockey players.
Bishop Scott is the perfect athletic hero. Stamina for days. Killer body. Heart of Gold. Treats his lady right. Sounds like perfection, right? He kind of is. Where your traditional hero would make some errors with the heroine or even the antagonist of the story, Bishop doesn't. He is kind of the dream.
Brooke is a lovely heroine. At times she is a bit a pushover, forgiving easily and wanting to believe the best in people, which isn't necessarily a bad attribute to have. This characteristic doesn't come into play for the hero and heroine, but it does open the door to the conflicts of the story.
The chemistry between these two in the bedroom is smoking, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Sawyer Bennett. I also enjoyed Bishop's and Brooke's dynamic outside of the bedroom as well. It seemed authentic and genuine, and readers will feel that they really do like each other. The conflict is alluded to withing the story and not really unexpected, but I have conflicting feelings about the resolution. While it was handled with the maturity of adults, it is resolved very quickly, making the pacing of the falling action and resolution to be very fast. I would have liked to be drawn out a bit more, something worthy of the build up and explosion of the climax.
Overall, I really enjoyed the new spin-off series from Sawyer Bennett. It is steamy and fun, and readers are introduced to a whole new world of hockey players. I am already needing more stories for Dax, Erik, and Tacker, so I hope Sawyer Bennett is busy writing. She has me hook, line, and sinker.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

How often does a one night stand turn into something more? Bishop never thought the amazing night he had with Brooke would be something he could relive again and again. Seeing her the next day he begins training he cannot believe he gets so see here again. Finding out who she really is will leave him absolutely speechless. Taking their relationship to the next level based on a little white lie left him unsure on how long this little charade has to last. Brooke only wanted to save Bishop from her father’s wrath but ended up falling in love with him. Absolutely love this new series from Sawyer Bennett!

You’ll need to have a fan close by when reading Bishop, because it is scorching hot! Sawyer Bennett launches her new hockey series, Arizona Vengeance, with this highly entertaining, sexy and feel-good romance in which a one night stand turns into a fake engagement and then...so much more. Bishop and Brooke have amazing chemistry and a fun dynamic, and they are magic together. They are both new to Arizona and finding their footing, so it is nice that they are a similar stage in their lives. I consider Sawyer Bennett one of the queens of hockey romance, and Bishop reminds me why. I am incredibly excited about this series!

Bishop is the first book in the new series, Arizona Vengeance, written by Sawyer Bennett. Bishop can be considered a spin off of the Cold Fury Series, but you don't have to read that series first to enjoy this series. Let me start by saying that I am thrilled Ms. Bennett is writing a new hockey series. I have read the books in the Cold Fury Series and have loved every one of them. Bishop is a great start to this new series.
Bishop is a seasoned, professional hockey player who was traded to the expansion team, Arizona Vengeance. He is not very excited about the trade to Arizona, so when he gets to town he decides he needs to spice things up a bit with one night of no holds barred sex. Meet Brooke, who has recently moved to Arizona so she could be with her father. Brooke is a strong, to nice for her own good, down to earth woman that I immediately connected with. Their one night stand is super hot, the sexual chemistry between Bishop and Brooke is totally explosive but, that's all it's supposed to be, a one night, nothing more. Well, what fun would that be? Ms. Bennett takes us on a wild ride that includes not only a super sweet, sexy story about Bishop and Brooke, with a bit of angst thrown in to keep the reader on edge. She also includes one bat shit crazy roommate and lots of sexy hockey players that will melt your heart and get you all hot and bothered at the same time. The characters are well developed and the story is fast paced and well written. Sawyer Bennett knows how to rock hockey. This book was an excellent start to this series and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
***Disclaimer *** I received an ARC copy of this book from #NetGalley and the publisher/author with the intent that I voluntarily write an unbiased, unsolicited review. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review in order to read this book. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. This is my honest review.***

This is going to be a great series. Bishop and Brooke Started off hot and heavy with a one night stand. But the next day was filled with a surprise of a lifetime for both of them. Their relationship was unorthodox but fun to watch unfold. They were a great couple to start the series with. Erik, Dax, and Tacker were great additions to the story and am hopeful they will get their own HEA. Sawyer Bennett knows how to write the perfect combination of heat and sweet!

Bishop is a good start to Bennett's new hockey series. The book is a fun read about finding love while painting yourselves into a corner with lies.
I liked the character of Bishop and his love interest Brooke, too. I felt like they were well matched and both deserved to find love in each other.
The secondary characters are likable as well and I look forward to their books. I will say I found the ridiculous names many of the secondary characters had distracting. We all have one friend who ended up with a stupid name, but multiple friends with stupid names? Not usually.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Sports or Contemporary Romance.
I received an ARC in exchange of my honest review.

This one was a winner! It didn't take much to get me excited about this book. Once I saw Sawyer Bennett's name on the cover and saw that it was about a hockey player, I knew that I had to read it. The fact that it is the first book in a new series is even better. I have really enjoyed the Cold Fury Hockey series but I was looking forward to meeting a new group of characters. I ended up having such a good time with Bishop!
Bishop has been added to the new expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance, and is new in town. The whole team has just been put together and he is excited to see how things will work out. He goes out to a local bar the night before his first team meeting and meets Brooke. The two end up spending one very steamy night together. Turns out Brooke is the coach's daughter and an employee of the team and things are not as simple as they thought it was going to be. When Brooke tells her father they are engaged, Bishop doesn't know what to think.
I don't always spend a lot of time reading book descriptions so I had no idea that this book was going to have a fake relationship. I love the fake relationship trope lately so I was really excited to see it play out in this book. These two had such great chemistry with each other so it was really no hardship for them to have to spend a little bit of extra time with each other. This fake relationship started looking pretty real to me rather quickly.
I really liked the characters. Bishop and Brooke were both new in town, having moved to Arizona to be a part of the new team. Brooke is dealing with a few more changes in her life since her new job isn't really what she wants to do long term but she feels like she needs to be there for her dad. Bishop wasn't really all that thrilled to have to move to the expansion team but he wants to make the most of it. There were a few of Bishop's teammates that played a pretty big role in the story and I really liked what they added as well. There was one character that was really hard to like in this book but it was kind of fun to see all the crazy things she was doing.
I would recommend this book to others. I had a great time with this romance and found it to be the perfect blend of great characters, steamy scenes, and heartfelt moments. I cannot wait to read more of this series by Sawyer Bennett!
I received a digital review copy of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

I'm a huge fan of the Cold Fury series, so I couldn't wait to jump into Ms. Bennett's new hockey series! This was a great book while telling Brooke and Bishop's story it also sets up the new world we are embarking into. Brooke and Bishops fake romance which turns real was hot and exciting. Meeting all of these new players and immersing myself in this world was so much fun! I love Ms. Bennett's world building and 3-D characters. This was a great start to this new series and I look forward to so much more to come!

What a great start to Sawyer Bennett's new Arizona Vengeance series. We are treated to all new cocky, sexy hockey players and the strong women who challenge them. We start with Bishop Scott who has been traded from New York to play for the Arizona Vengeance. He has a hot one night stand with the woman of his dreams, only to find out she works for his new team. When they get caught in a passionate embrace in Brookes office by her dad, who is also Bishops new coach, Brooke does the unthinkable, she tells her dad they are engaged! What could possibly go wrong by deceiving your new boss and team? This was a fun and steamy story that captured my heart. I loved watching Bishop and Brooke's relationship grow and get stronger. They fit so well together and their and chemistry was explosive. The rest of the team is also so intriguing, that I can't wait to read more about these hot and sexy players!

In this new sports romance series from Sawyer Bennett, there's a new expansion team called the Arizona Vengeance in the hockey league and it's made of up players from all the other teams in the league in this spin-off from the Cold Fury series.
Bishop is chilling at the bar when a woman catches his eye and after some banter, they end up spending the night together. Right from the start there's a sense that this "relationship" is something different. He's finds out just what's different when he runs into Brooke the next day at the stadium and finds out she's the coach's daughter.
Caught in a make-out session with Bishop, Brooke lies to her father telling him they're engage and have been dating. And Bishop goes along with it, setting the stage for them to fall for each other for real.
This was a really sweet story between Brooke and Bishop. Neither one is looking for a permanent thing, yet they can't ignore the feelings between them. I really liked how they fell in love with each other.
When everything explodes for them when the truth comes out, they have to really decide what they want. I have to say that I really liked Bishop. He is a good guy. I loved his point of view chapters. I didn't connect as much with Brooke because she just really seemed like she didn't want to be in Arizona at all, and she does something really stupid (but sweet and generous) that kicks off a lot of their trouble.
Overall, I thought this was a great start to a series I'm looking forward to reading. There's a nice introduction to the players on the team and there are definitely some interesting characters for follow-up books in the series.
An ARC was provided for review.

There seem to be many sides to Sawyer Bennett’s style of writing, folks. But I’d have to say steaminess is a definitely a very consistent factor. For those who think the more the merrier, you won’t be disappointed in Bishop, book 1 of her new Arizona Vengeance hockey series. On a scale of 1 - 10, I’d peg it as a 15, which puts it in the graphically descriptive X-rated territory.
As an avid romantic at heart, I’m always drawn more to the main couple’s emotional connection and unfolding romantic plot. Therefore, I unashamedly admit I found myself looking away and giving Bishop and Brooke, the main couple, their privacy when the OTT erotic heat factor became more than I expected. TMI (too much information) and details, for this reviewer, if you know what I mean.
Bishop is obviously an experienced, unapologetic manho on the prowl when he runs into Brooke, who is also looking for a no strings, one night only entanglement between the sheets. We are told this is her first and only time in doing so. Bishop has been around the one night stand block many times before but has also dated in the past. However, he’s never been in love, because he’s felt the women in his circle of life are more in love with the idea of his lifestyle, lavish gifts, and becoming the first Mrs. Bishop than anything else. He’s happily let them use him though and vice versa it seems.
Brooke’s determination to be there for her hockey coach father has her going above and beyond what most daughters would do. She’s pulled up her NY fashionista stakes and moved across the country to work for him until she’s certain he’s over a heartbreaking loss.
Unfortunately, that same soft heart makes Brooke a doormat when dealing with an unwelcome guest that wrecks havoc when they show up unexpected and uninvited. Her sisterhood card took a hit with me for not setting that boat load of crazy/hot mess straight from the get go.
You definitely can feel the chemistry and lust between this main couple. Intermixed between the numerous, graphic sexcapes, they genuinely start to fall for one another, which is what kept me reading, But it was only about halfway through it, they started to realize this fake relationship is starting to feel very real.
All in all, the steaminess was kind of a shock factor, but there was enough substance between this couple I wanted to see them get a HEA. There was also a lot of set-up of subcharacters that are sure to get their stories told in future sequels.
Title: Bishop, Series: Arizona Vengeance (Book 1), Author: Sawyer Bennett, Pages: 253, stand-alone but part of a series, former major womanizing, manho hockey player hero, no love triangle, no cheating, no major OW/OM drama, mild relationship angst, more OTT erotic than I expected.
Book 1 - Bishop
Book 2 - Erik
Book 3 - Legend

OK, I do not know why, but I freaking LOVE hockey romance, it is one of my favorite genre’s of romance. I first got hooked into hockey romance when I read Zack the third book in Sawyer Bennett’s Cold Fury Series. I have been a fanatic of both Sawyer Bennett and Hockey romance ever since. Ms. Bennett’s latest release is Bishop is the first book in her new series the Arizona Vengeance. In my honest opinion, if Bishop is any indication of her newest series is going to go, Ms. Bennett has another winner.
I think Brooke and Bishop are absolutely meant for each other. I think the lie she tells her father, is her sub-conscience speaking. Sorry folks, not giving any spoilers away. I will say this, the book is HOT, so you may need a fan while reading.
I love the way Ms. Bennett develops her characters, the hero is a cocky, vulnerable donkey, who turns into a totally loveable guy that still has that touch of cocky to them. I love the way she makes her hockey heroes more human and takes you into their lives (or so I am assuming) for a while.
I had a soft spot for Bishop, and the new series, because one of my favorite players of my local NHL team was picked for the new expansion team in Las Vegas, and he and the new team did da…darn well for their first season. Just saying.
I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading pleasure. One of my favorite types of books are books that can take me away from my life and take me into their lives of the characters and forget the problems of my life for a time. So, Thank You, Ms. Bennett for the hour and hours of reading enjoyment you provide to your readers.
I cannot wait to see what you have in store for Erik, he really needs to be taken down a peg or two…
Thank you for reading my review.

I love me some sports romance. I am completely in when I get a chance to read a Sawyer Bennett sports romance. She definitely writes some of my favorites. I can already tell I am going to love this series and these players. This story was sexy and fun and the chemistry was smoking! I absolutely cannot wait to read more. I can't wait to see which teammate gets a book next.

I absolutely loved reading the books from Sawyer Bennett’s previous hockey team series, The Carolina Cold Fury. But, she has taken things up several notches, in all “zones,” with her all new team series, the Arizona Vengeance.
I relished my time reading Bishop. The dynamics between the two lead characters were incredible. Bishop and his leading lady Brooke were great characters, which I felt drew me in to this story because I genuinely liked both of their personalities. They were also the type of characters that felt real. There were so many fantastic qualities about these two characters that I could not get enough!
Reading about Bishop and his new teammates was an absolute delight! Not only is this a new team with a brand new cast of characters to discover, but as an avid hockey fan, I appreciated the more technical terminology describing the game play, giving it a more authentic feel.
I fell head over feet for this new team and the guys playing alongside Bishop. I cannot wait to read more and find out who is going to “score” next.
As Always, Happy Reading!
“5/5 Beaming Brains!” – Laura, Lit-Up My Mind

5 Stars
Bishop by Sawyer Bennett is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series. It is a spin off of the Cold Fury series and was soooooo good! After falling completely in love with the hunks of Cold Fury, I was extremely excited when I found out Ms.Bennett was writing another hockey series. Bishop and Brooke’s story is hot and steamy and full of humor and sizzling chemistry.
Bishop Scott was just released from his hockey team and is feeling a bit nervous knowing that he has to start over in Arizona with a brand new expansion team. Looking to blow off some steam before it all begins, he meets Brooke and they have an explosive one night stand. Turns out Brooke is the daughter of his coach. Which was completely unexpected. And what was more unexpected was being caught in a compromising position by said coach. Now in a fake relationship as a fake fiancé, Bishop is trying to figure it all out while trying to remain on the coaches good side. But what happens when fake turns real…
Absolutely loved this story! Sawyer Bennett has created another hit with Bishop and which I’m sure the entire series is going to be phenomenal! The story flowed well and it was action packed both on and off the ice! I cannot wait for book two!

I enjoyed meeting this new team. Brooke and Bishop had great chemistry from the start. The natural way their feelings grew between all the pretend feelings kept me interested in how this story would play out. There were moments that were sigh worthy and sniffle worthy, and I look forward to more in this series as some of the secondary characters were fun to read about, and some need their comeuppance and others need that person to help them move on.
I received a copy of this ARC through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

If you enjoyed the Carolina Cold Fury series then you will most likely enjoy this start to a new hockey series too. Much in the same spirit of fun, romantic sports books Bishop provides a flirty and fun hook-up goes wrong to oh so right romance. There are a host of new characters to meet and can't wait for more!

A charming start to a new series!
If you love The Carolina Cold Fury you will Love the start of the Arizona Vengeance series. This whole new cast of characters is a fun exciting start to a new series, i absolutely can not wait for the next few books in the series.
The NHL has created a whole new team The Arizona Vengeance. It is made up of players from the rest of the league’s teams. They got their pick of some of the best players in the NHL, Bishop was relocated from New York to join the team.
Brooke relocated to Phoenix and took a Job with The Vengeance to help support her father who it the Head coach of the new team.
Brooke and Bishop meet in a bar and have a passionate one night stand. When they run into each other at work it seems like fate is playing its hand to keep them together. But when Brooke’s father stumbles in on them in a heated moment and she attempts to save Bishops career by telling her father they are engaged.
When their fake engagement starts to feel real Bishop and Brooke take a leap and decide to give it a try. Sometimes you just have to do things backwards to get to your Happily Ever After.

With hopes of the Stanley Cup on the horizon, Bishop is unexpectedly traded to Arizona Vengeance-a new expansion team in the league. Bitter, but hoping for the best, Bishop decides to meet up at the bar for drinks with a few of his new teammates before the official season and training begin. At the bar, he spots an intriguing woman. After some small talk, they agree to a one night stand. Bishop realizes he wants more than one night with this mysterious woman, but she left without giving him her name. So it comes as quite a shock when Bishop arrives to the arena and finds that his mystery woman works for the Vengeance AND she's the new coach's daughter!
When the coach finds them making out in her office, Brooke introduces Bishop as her fiancé. While she does it to protect Bishop, she's perpetrated a lie that grows and grows. In order to keep himself out of the coach's line of fire and to be able to continue seeing Brooke, Bishop agrees to Brooke's plan. They'll pretend they're "fake" engaged, then Brooke will break up with Bishop at the end of the season so that it appears as though Brooke's the "bad" guy. What they don't plan on is the relationship becoming real.
I loved the lead into to new spin off series! This novel lays the groundwork for so many other characters and their stories. I can't wait to learn more about Erik. Comedy, romance, true love, and loss were perfectly woven together. Brooke's selfless move to Arizona to help her dad through his grieving was so touching. I truly enjoyed Bishop's take charge attitude, especially when it came to Brooke's "friend". This is one of the best fake relationship love stories I've read! Very relatable! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
