I always enjoy the fake relationship turns really real plotlines, and this was no exception. Bishop was the sext bad boy, Brooke was the daddy's girl, and when it turns out that Daddy is Bishop's boss... well, there were some sticky situations and drama, but most of all, there was love.

Readers looking for an afternoon of decadent delights will get just that with this fun and flirty romance that starts off with a fake relationship before becoming oh so much more. It’s an erotically-charged romance with an appealing main couple, and an equally compelling cast of secondary characters that are introduced throughout this story, that charmed me while making me blush a time or two. By the turn of the final page I’m left with a smile on my face while waiting for the next installment in this fun and flirty hockey-fueled romance.

Bishop Scott’s a star on the ice but that didn’t stop his former team from trading him. Making a new start frustrates him, but the moment he locks eyes with a woman in a bar changes his life irrevocably as their one-night stand ends up lasting more than one night. After being caught with the coach’s daughter, and in an attempt to salvage his relationship with the coach, Bishop agrees to her crazy plan of engaging in a fake relationship with an end date clearly defined. It’s a fake relationship that catches him off guard though, warming his heart and putting a smile on his face. He always thought being in a relationship meant being tied down, but for him it’s a freeing time where he embraces the newfound feelings she engenders in him. Being with Brooke brings out his romantic side, a charmer who wears his heart on his sleeve while exuding tons of eroticism. Bishop may have been doubtful of where things would go early on with Brooke, but once he decides he wants to keep her he’s blatant in his displays of affection and support which endeared him to me wholeheartedly.

Brooke Perron had a job she loved in New York, but left it all behind to help her father deal with the grief of her mother’s passing. Trying to deal with all the changes sent her to a bar one night and put her on a direct path to Bishop which ends with a fake relationship. It’s a relationship based on lies but quickly consumes both of them as it becomes more meaningful to them both. With their end date creeping ever closer they’ll be forced into accepting truths that they’ve long kept hidden as they decide if she and Bishop were meant for the long run. Brooke’s a good hearted heroine, though a bit immature in her dealings with her father which sometimes frustrated me. She may have been bold in her first encounter with Bishop, but thereafter he often took the lead in their scorching encounters with her showing bits of naivete. She and Bishop had a crackling connection though, in words and deeds, that utterly charmed me and showed them growing closer the longer their relationship progressed. On a whole, though Brooke was far from perfect, it was her imperfections that made her more likable and easy to relate to.

This was a satisfying series starter for the most part courtesy of its appealing main couple and their scorching connection. Theirs is a fun and flirty relationship, one that’s virtually angst-free, and it kept me fully invested in this story from the first page to the last. They’re a couple who strongly support each other and every time they were together the sparks flew through Bishop’s sexy banter and scorching interludes. Their feelings for each other matured through the story and pulled me along for their journey to HEA. Surrounding this likable main couple was a delightful and eclectic cast of secondary characters. Joining Ms. Bennett’s Cold Fury hockey players is this naughtier version of players that fully enticed me. With glimpses of Eric (the charming seducer quick to laugh), Dax (the teddy bear full of charm), and Legend (steady and solid) running through my mind I was utterly captivated. The player that left the biggest impression though was Tacker whose loss weighs on him heavily, as does the guilt he feels over his fiancee‘s death. He’s a lost soul, made Team Captain as he’s a stand-up guy, but I was left longing for a single smile from him while hoping his story gets told soon. There was a nice flow to this story, a good pace with a beautiful balance of romance and eroticism. It was a feel good story for the most part with the only blemish being Brooke’s friend Nanette, a manipulative woman who treats men as playthings and uses Brooke’s kindness to her benefit. The lack of an epilogue also disappointed me and gave an unfinished feel to the book. Fans of sports romances though will find exhilarating scenes on the ice, along with all the work done off the ice by the players, which rounds out this story perfectly and has created a new fan for these sexy hockey players.

Bishop is a successful hockey player who has recently relocated to Phoenix after his contract was picked up by the Arizona Phoenix. He is scheduled to meet the team the next day, so he decides to go out on the town and peruse the local nightlife.

Brooke has recently relocated from NYC to be near her father to help him adjust to life without his wife and her mother. She gave up a job and lifestyle she loved so she hasn’t decided if the move will be temporary or permanent.

They meet in a bar and spend a steamy evening together, but neither is looking for anything more, so they never expect to see each other again. Surprise! When he shows up at the hockey arena the next day he finds out she is the coach’s daughter and they are caught in a passionate embrace by her father. In order to protect Bishop, she tells her dad that they are engaged, and a fake relationship ensues but are they fooling those around them or themselves?

Hot chemistry and humorous banter make this the beginning of a wonderful series and Erik’s story can’t come soon enough. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

Bishop is the first novel in Sawyer Bennetts new Arizona Vengeance hockey hottie series, and let me tell you, it was so much fun!

I sped through this book in a day, and I loved getting to know Bishop and Brooke, and also some of the other members of the Vengeance.

B and B work together perfectly, and while the whole thing starts off as a fake engagement, you realise very fast that this will not only be a fun ride, but one thats meant to be as well. These two getting to know each other and what their feelings mean is really awesome, and the story flows seamlessly and easily.

There were some great (and not so great) secondary characters involved as well. You’ll know who I mean when you read the book. They added the perfect level of balance to this story.

There’s no huge amount of angst, and issues are dealt with appropriately and not dragged out, which is really nice for me in a book these days.

I had a lot of fun reading this, and I really look forward to the rest of the series!

I am so excited about this new series from Sawyer. This may be the best book that she's ever written. I couldn't put it down. I only hope that the rest of the series will be as amazing as the start of it has been!

My 3.5 to 4 star review is posted on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38348931-bishop?ac=1&from_search=true

It will be posted on blog and social media and links will be updated on release date.LINKS UPDATED 8/14/18:

3.5 to 4 stars
New City: Phoenix.
New Team: Arizona Vengeance.
New Men...starting with Bishop's story.

Bishop Scott was traded to the new expansion team from New York along with his best friend and room mate, Dax. He is charismatic, handsome, and funny, but he is also a bit alpha and a dirty-talker. What he has not been is relationship material and is usually a one-and-done kind of guy.

But one night he meets Brooke Perron in a bar and is drawn to her. After an explosive night, he took off as per his usual, but was actually happy to see her again the next day. And that second meeting would totally change their lives.

Brooke is smart, sweet, caring, witty, and is going to be one big complication in Bishop's life. But with some quick thinking and talking they might be able to salvage the situation and pull off their own tactical maneuver. But as they are spending time together as needed to deal with the situation they created, things seem to keep changing. I liked their banter, dynamic, and chemistry.

But are they changing for both of them or is someone bound to get hurt?

This has a similar feel and vibe to the Cold Fury series and brings us a whole new group of guys...Dax, Erik, Legend, and my personal fave, Tacker. I certainly hope he might be getting his own book since his story was more appealing to me. I even liked the higher ups in the organization, the GM, Christian, and team owner, Dominik. But coming up next are Erik and Legend.

Honestly, I felt like the conflict and drama in this one was a bit predictable and kind of superficial. Although I liked how things were handled, I also felt like the ending was a bit rushed. I would have liked to have seen another chapter or an epilogue, but I am sure we will get more with them as the series continues. I guess I just wish we got deeper in with the characters and that there were a bit more layers to it. But with that being said it is not full of a bunch or relationship angst and communication issues either which is a nice change sometimes. It is a fun, easy, sexy, hockey read, and I did like the whole new cast of characters.

Awww Ms Bennett got me again - a new hockey series, she has me at Hello. The great thing Bishop the first book in the new Arizona Vengeance series kicks it off just right.

Bishop Scott is in Phx as part of the new hockey expansion team - the Arizona Vengeance. Not really wanting to be there and missing his old town of New York he is just trying to make the most of it. Then he sees her from across the bar - the perfect girl to take his mind off of everything for a night right before training camp begins. After the best one night stand sex ever he regrets not getting her phone number until he finds her as part of the Vengeance front office. Oh and her dad happens to be the head coach, now hiding behind a fake engagement Bishop knows he doesn't want a relationship, that is until it becomes real.

Brooke Perron leaves New York to be with her dad and of course a job she loved. After her dad catches her and Bishop in a compromising position she makes up a tale to spare her dads feelings and Bishop his wrath. Then the relationship starts to become real. How does she hide it from everyone and most of all Bishop?

I love Sawyer Bennett. especially her Cold Fury series and it looks like Arizona Vengeance will be more of the same. Told in dual POV's we get to see both sides of Bishop and Brooke and the romance they both try to hide. The story has great dialog, wonderful characters and certainly doesnt shy away from the bedroom scenes. All things I have come to expect from a Sawyer Bennett romance. We also get to meet some great secondary characters - all of which we get to meet again and again I am sure and Ifor one can not wait.

This was a great start to this new series from Sawyer Bennett and can be read on a complete stand alone basis.

This was a fun enticing read. It flowed really well and was paced perfectly and for me I was able to read this through in one sitting. Bishop follows the trope of the "fake fiance" and while it was little predictable at times, I still really enjoyed it.

Bishop and Brooke were solid characters and likeable in their own rights but they worked perfectly together and had great chemistry.

For me, overall, this was a solid read. It hooked me from the start, it was a fun and easy read but with enough drama to give it a kick. I for one am looking forward to more from the Arizona Vengeance.

I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher; there was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.

“I see her and it’s all over for me. At least for tonight anyway.”

It was only supposed to be a hookup, a one time thing, but when hockey player Bishop Scott discovers Brooke Perron working for his team, he’s ready for another shot. Too bad her father is his coach and getting caught by him in a compromising position wasn’t part of the plan. Trying to ease an embarrassing situation & protect Bishop from her fathers wrath, Brooke blurts out that he’s her fiancé. While trying to maintain the facade of being in love, feelings develop that blur the line between pretend & reality and they soon find that their lies have far reaching repercussions.

This is the first book in Sawyer Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series and Brooke & Bishop were a likeable couple to start things off. This fun & steamy hockey romance was an easy, entertaining read and I would recommend it for fans of the authors Cold Fury series. It also effortlessly set up at least half a dozen characters for future stories. Can’t wait to read more!

I enjoyed Bishop so much! We are treated to a spinoff series of another hockey team by Sawyer Bennett. I love how she brings the details from the facility, the training, the game and hockey itself. I don’t have a major hockey team in my area, but I have made it a point to attend at least one hockey game a year just because of these books. The writing is spectacular, and she really brings the story to life.
I sympathized for Brooke and how protective she is of her daddy. Now for the chemistry of Brooke and Bishop.

Oh, my goodness! I stayed up all night reading because other than the story itself, it seems that when the super sexy scenes came around, I savored each word and couldn’t stop reading. Bishop knows how to take care of his woman!

I have already added Erik and Legend to my TBR shelf because well, read Bishop and you will be doing the same.

If you love a hockey romance then you can’t get much better than Sawyer Bennett. I loved her Carolina Cold Fury series so I was really looking forward to this book. This book is the first book in a new hockey series, Arizona Vengeance. We get to meet a whole new team of sexy hockey players. There are a few players that I’m already excited to read their story. This book starts out as a one night stand and turns into coincidences that turns into a fake-but-not-really relationship. This book has a little bit of drama, some humor, great side characters, and lots of hotness. This is one of the lighter reads of this author. There is lots of sexiness and the story moves along. The one thing that I was disappointed in is that the ending seems a little rushed and ends a little abruptly. I wish there was an epilogue to this book. Other than that it was a delightful book. If you are looking for a quick, sexy, hockey romance then definitely check this book out.

Hockey players (both fictional and real) will forever be at the top of my list and Bishop fits right in with them!

The Arizona Vengeance are the newest club in town and trust me, you're going to fall in love with these men!

Bishop is…..geez, how to describe him? Charming, sexy, witty - with a good heart and alpha male tendencies. The man can raise your temperature in a heartbeat and satisfaction is always guaranteed. But he definitely offers more than just fun in the bedroom. He's irresistible.

Brooke is a great match for Bishop. They compliment each other, and her independence is something he finds refreshing. She's not into him for all the wrong reasons or for what he can provide her. She's strong, funny, loyal, and gives all of herself.

From their very first chemistry-laden encounter, sparks were flying and you just knew it was going to be epic. It's fun to see them sort through the mess they've gotten themselves into. This is a fabulous start to another great hockey series from Sawyer Bennett and I can't wait to read more of these amazing men.

Bishop, is a sexy sports romance by author Sawyer Bennett. Ms. Bennett is the guru of hockey romance and I have been a fan of her earlier works for years. This is the first book from from her brand new series, Arizona Vengeance, and it can be read as a standalone.

After an amazing one night stand, Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron have no idea that they share one major commonality, they both work for the same hockey team. The Arizona Vengeance is an expansion team with a ton of talent. Bishop is co-captain and Brooke is the coach's daughter, in addition to working in the events department. While Bishop loves playing hockey, Brooke hates her job. She moved from New York City to Arizona to be with her Dad, who is still grief stricken over the loss of his wife, Brooke's mom. Merchandising is where Brooke wants to be and she is working very hard to get into that department.

The spark between Bishop and Brooke continues into the next day when they surprisingly see each other at the arena. Within seconds of getting their hands on each other again in Brooke's office, Brooke's dad walks in. Without even thinking, Brooke introduces Bishop as her fiance, in order to keep Bishop in good standing with the team. Their fake engagement evolves into much more, as they realize they are falling in love.

This is an engaging novel and I enjoyed how Ms. Sawyer developed the romance between Bishop and Brooke. The secondary characters are interesting and I am looking forward to reading their individual stories. The book ended abruptly yet happily, without the benefit of an epilogue. Overall, a solid read.

Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

The start of a great new series from Sawyer Bennett! I have been a huge Cold Fury series fan and am so excited for the Vengeance series. Bishop and Brooke were great and I can't wait to see what is in store for some of the other players.

Wow now that is how you end a novel, with a simple yet impressive romantic token.
Bishop, is a take no crap from you, hockey player and co-captain.
Brooke is the coach's daughter, but has a flair for the fashion marketing department.
Neither realizes who the other is until they are lip locked and he catches them. Perfect dear in the headlights moment.
Faking the perfect relationship should be hard, yet these two have little effort to put in. They make the best steamy nights while slowly falling in love but not coming out to say it.
The sarcastic attitude of this authors writing style is what gets me. I love the little snips and smart remarks. It's smooth flowing storyline, that climax at just the time.
It's a breeze to read something so intoxicating, that it's over before you know it.

Sawyer Bennett writes a great hockey romance, and she kicks off a new book series (Arizona Vengeance) with Bishop.

A one-night stand between two strangers is never meant to be anything more. So OF COURSE, Brooke turns out to be the daughter of Bishop's new head coach. When Daddy catches them kissing, Brooke freaks out and announces that they are engaged… bringing our hero and heroine into a fake relationship situation that eventually turns into something real.

The chemistry between these two was pretty hot; I often find that a fake relationship trope is hit or miss. But I shipped Brishop. I wanted them to work out their issues and admit to one another that they weren't pretending any more.

Overall, Bishop is a hot read, with the right amount of spice, a handsome hero and kick-ass heroine. A great start to a new series! I received and advanced copy via the publisher and NetGalley and voluntarily left a review.

Brooke Perron has found herself in an unusual predicament after leaving a career she loves to move to Arizona to help her dad. She never imagined a one-night stand could be so much more.

Bishop Scott loves playing hockey though being traded to the newest expansion team wasn't high on his list of choices. Letting off a little steam before training camp begins is looking up now that he can't take his eyes off the beauty across the bar.

I loved this book. The author continues to hook me and I was eager to read this book. I'm excited to see what's next in the series.

The hero is over the top swoon-worthy with his patience and his quiet possessiveness. His natural instinct to take care of the heroine is the absolute best. The heroine is easily lovable and I adored the way she wanted to take care of everyone in her life.

I wish I could re-read this book for the first time. I had a hard time putting it down from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book and this author!

I was so excited to a few months ago to learn Sawyer Bennett was writing a new hockey series!

BISHOP is book one in in the Arizona Vengeance series and it didn't disappoint. The Vengeance is a new franchise in the NHL so the reader gets to experience so much from these men; you get to know them as they get to know each other.......

Bishop Scott is the co-captain of this new team and this man was so intriguing... I am going to try to only share that the blurb does so the reader can experience the story as the author unfolds it.

Bishop's one night stand, one that the author makes clear is different for him... turns out to be Brooke Perron his new coach’s daughter .... then she introduces Bishop as her fiancé.

And that.. that is where the fun begins....baring witness to these two being together, learning each other but under the context of a lie kept me hoping both would admit their feelings.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this new setting, the new team, the dynamics of the men getting to know each other, watching the team start to fit into the league. The picture painted of the facilities build and the owner's dedication to his new venture were done with true attention to detail.

In the end I loved loved how this played out for Bishop and Brooke.

Bishop was such a great introduction to a new series, I am now so excited for the Vengeance men...this book has me so wanting ERIK and then LEGEND The hint of Erik Dahlbeck with flight attendant Blue Gardner has new so excited for what's next!

And I don't know when but I want to know more about Tacker's heartbreaking past, I think this character sort of in the shadows was so well done!

PS I hope we get a book for Dominik Carlson, the team owner...... hint.. hint....

Hockey has never been so much fun

Sawyer Bennett's Bishop was s very enjoyable read. I especially enjoyed take charge Brooke at her first meet with Bishop. Their chemistry was undeniable. I liked there was just enough "hockey talk" to make it feel authentic without getting it bigger down. Her Sawyer Bennett had another His with her Arizona Vengeance series.
I received an advance reader copy via Netgalley.

4 It’s a New Series with New Hockey Hunks to Love Stars!!

There’s nothing better than starting a new series by one of my favorite authors and this book, Bishop, which is book one in the Arizona Vengeance series starts us off with a bang!

Bishop Sutton has just been transferred out west as part of the NHL expansion and while he’s not too crazy about it, this doesn’t stop him from getting acquainted with the nightlife Phoenix has to offer. This is where this book gets exciting…while they didn’t get each other’s names, Brooke and Bishop are going to be spending some quality time together…her father is his coach and oh yeah, she works for the team!!!

I love that this book moves at a quick pace just like a hockey game. There’s deke’s to the left and the right when things get dicey for these two given that they’re playing out a fake engagement. But the chemistry between Bishop and Brooke is scorching hot and what starts out as something that Brooke feels she needs to do turns into so much more.

Bishop and Brooke are everything I wanted them to be. There’s some drama to keep us on our toes, but underlying it all is a H/h that find everything they never thought they needed or deserved! Brink on Erik Ms. Bennett because I’m ready!!!!
