It has been a while since I read a hockey book from Sawyer Bennett, and I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy them! Bishop is an excellent start to a new series and I am already looking forward to finding out more about the men of the Arizona Vengeance.
Bishop and Brooke meet in a bar where Brooke has just been stood up by a new co-worker who was supposed to meet her. He steps in with some slick moves to ward off the other guys circling her, and they immediately hit it off. Bishop loves the fact that she has no idea who he is, and he is surprised by how well they seem to mesh but he has no interest in anything beyond a one night stand. He just relocated to Arizona and has to focus on getting to know a whole new NHL team made up of guys who have never played together before. So imagine his surprise when he walks through the offices and spots the woman he hasn't been able to get out of his head- which is only topped by his surprise when he finds out she is the coach's daughter... and that she blurts out she and Bishop are engaged when Daddy walks in on them in a close embrace!
Things get a little crazy from there as they try to keep up the ruse so that Coach doesn't take out his irritation on Bishop on the ice. Brooke just wants her dad to be happy again following the death of her mom, and she is finally seeing glimmers of the man he used to be now that he has a new team to work with and a new purpose in life.
I loved the easy camaraderie and chemistry between Bishop and Brooke as they quickly drift toward building something real even if it all starts as a hoax. She has a great sense of humor and fits his laid back personality well, and they definitely have some hot moments along the way! Throw in a dose of crazy in the form of an ex-coworker who is jealous of Brooke, and I didn't want to put this book down once I started reading it. Bishop will definitely be on my re-read list, and I am eagerly looking forward to finding out which of Bishop's teammates gets his turn in the spotlight next!

When a one-night stand can turn into your happily ever after...
Bishop Scott has started on a brand new team, the Arizona Vengeance, after a successful career in New York. After the most incredible sex of his life, Bishop is ready to play his heart out on the ice. When he enters the arena, he finds the woman he spent the night with and he feels as if fate stepped in to make things sweet for him. He's ready to pick up where they left off and she seems willing... until they're caught in a compromising position by his new coach... her father!
Brooke Perron has left her cushy life in New York to offer support to her grieving father in Phoenix. After a co-worker fails to show up at the bar, she invites a hot stranger to her bed and has the most amazing sex of her life. Starting a new job for the Arizona Vengeance, she's surprised to see Bishop at her work place. It's like kismet or something. He brings her into a passionate embrace that may have led to more if her father hadn't walked in. To save face and maybe protect Bishop from the fallout of her father's temper, she lies and tells her dad that they're engaged. And that's how a one-night stand turns into a fake relationship and then into forever.
These characters were so adorable. They were incredibly likeable and the development of their relationship was almost natural. You know, aside from the fact that it was fake. But it was obvious, almost from the start, how NOT fake their feelings for one another were. And Bishop surprised the heck out of me with how sensual, dominant, and dirty he was. LOVED IT!! I found love for all of the characters, including the side ones and I'm excited to get to read their stories when they come out.

What do you do when your “one night stand” shows up at your workplace the next day? Oh, & to make it interesting, while you are making your moves, your new boss/coach walks in & it’s her father? Bishop is sure he’s just ruined the rest of his life. His coach isn’t going to like him going after his daughter. Wait, did someone say engaged?? What the heck!
Brooke has moved to Arizona to look after her father since her mother’s death. She didn’t know anyone in town & when a guy tried to pick her up in a bar, she decided why not. When she decides to cut loose, she really does it! When Bishop showed up in her office, she was shocked but not as much as when her dad walked in on them. To protect Bishop from her dad’s fury, Brooke announced they were engaged.
What a hot, sexy story! This is not for those that like their sexual scenes behind closed doors & their language tame. The story moved at a quick pace but not too fast. As a reader, I was able to establish a connection with both Brooke & Bishop. I loved watching the attraction & chemistry develop into something deeper & more meaningful. The interactions between Brooke & her father proved how much affection & concern they held for each other. I liked the friendships developing between Bishop & his teammates. Great story!

Sawyer Bennett launches her Arizona Vengeance hockey series with Bishop, a hot, funny and earnest goal.
Bishop Scott has just been transferred to the new NHL expansion team. It’s a fresh start in a new city, with new teammates and even a brand spanking new team jet. He’s also eager to check out the local hotties and the hottest one of all wants to have fun, with him.
The night was sizzling but no phone numbers were exchanged until more sparks fly when he bumps into her at his place of work. It must have been fate. That is until Bishop’s boss barges in and demands to know what he has his hands all over his daughter. Surprise! But things really get really interesting when Brooke introduces him as his fiancé. They can go along with the charade for a bit and then break things off, right? Or will their fake dating turn into more?
With Bishop and Brooke, Bennett provides two witty and charming characters. Bishop is a super hot hero with a body only athletes such as hockey players posses, but it was his caring nature that made him so appealing. He was determined to win on the ice and with his thoughtful and hidden soft side, he was able to win at love too. Brooke only ever saw Bishop the man, not the star. She’s independent and equally kind hearted. They’re perfect for each other.
The book starts with scorching chemistry and in true Bennett fashion the bedroom scenes are outstandingly sexy, but the story is layered with the deep bond that grows between Bishop and Brooke. While I started in need of a cold glass of water because of the heat, the last chapters made my heart singing with swoony romantic gestures, with a whole lot of hockey excitement in between.
Bishop is about a one-night stand that became more, taking me on a fun, sexy and heartfelt journey. In which we not only get to enjoy the romance between hero and heroine, we’re introduced to an entire new group of hockey players who we’ll get know more of in upcoming installments. Hockey romance and Sawyer Bennett fans alike are sure to enjoy it!
Bishop is book #1 of the Arizona Vengeance series by Sawyer Bennett. It is told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Sawyer Bennett lights the lamp with BISHOP, the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series. Bishop Scott is the new co-captain of the NHL’s newest expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance. He unknowingly, has a one-night-stand with the coach’s daughter, Brooke Perron. When Coach Perron catches the two kissing, Brooke blurts out that they are engaged in an effort to save Bishop from her father’s wrath. Now they need to play the part. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.
BISHOP was a fun and entertaining read. Bishop and Brooke are both likable and have great chemistry. They both have big hearts. I like that Brooke is looking out for her dad after her mother’s death. I love the relationship that Bishop has with his mother. The plot was clever and had some interesting and unexpected twists. I enjoy Sawyer Bennett ‘s writing style. She does a great job of getting you inside the characters' heads and feeling their emotions. I’m looking forward to following this new series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Sawyer Bennett is one of those authors I keep meaning to check out and just never have so when I saw this book listed on NetGalley I requested an ARC immediately. This may have been my first Sawyer Bennett book but it will not be my last. I love how easily Bishop and Brooke go from one night stand to fauxmance to real relationship.....almost without even noticing it themselves. I can't wait to read about Erik and Legend.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sexy & Heartwarming! Prepare for a kickass new series with the newly franchised, Arizona Vengeance by Sawyer Bennett. You don’t want to miss this one as we get to meet up with all the new characters.
Brooke and Bishop’s attraction is instant, full of thick sexual tension, off the charts chemistry, and sex scenes so hot, they may burn your fingers. But what starts out as a one night stand, soon turns into big trouble for the first line, right winger, Bishop Scott. Or does it turn into the best thing that has ever happened to him? Will his career survive? You will have to read to find out.
A whole lot of sweet. A whole lot of heat. And everything in between. If you haven’t read this one don’t waste another moment reading this review.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Bishop~ Bishop and Brooke what a great story!
How can you not love a handsome, sexy, sweet hockey player and a lovely gal from New York just wanting to let off a bit of steam! That may be how it all started that night in the bar but the next morning when they both show up at the Vengeance Hockey field this is going to get a bit more complicated!
It isn't bad enough that the coach of the team has just found his new co-captain in a bit of a compromising position but said it is with his own daughter! A quick web of lies and now they are well on their way to a promising relationship...not ! This was a great story of one steamy couple that really have no idea what they need or want until it may be right under their noses!!
Loved It !!

She does it again! Ms. Bennett has written another start of a fantastic series. Get ready for the men of Arizona Vengeance hockey team. The Arizona Vengeance brings a new cast of characters and more hockey drama!

Bishop is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance Series. What starts out has a one night stand quickly becomes complicated but things don’t always go as intended. Brooke and Bishop’s story is sweet, sexy, and delicious! A quick read with fantastic characters. Another hit for Sawyer Bennett!

If you liked The Cold Fury series, you will love this new series just as much!
Bishop Scott used to play for the New York Vipers but when a new expansion team, The Arizona Vengeance, was formed, the Vipers didn't protect him and so now he is playing for the Vengeance. Before the season begins, Bishop decides to hit the town and see what the city has to offer. If he finds a hot female for the night, all the better.
Brooke Perron is in Arizona for a new job. Sure, her dad may have gotten her the job, and sure she left her job she loved in New York for it, but she still worries about him since her mom passed away. While at a bar in town by herself just having a drink, she is approached by a man who has actually gotten her attention for a change. When she propositions him, Bishop can't believe his ears....this is too good to be true, and a perfect one night stand!
Imagine Bishop's surprise when he shows up for the first day of training camp and who does he see.....Brooke....in an office....working for the Vengeance! Confronting her, things quickly turn sexy and guess who walks in.....her dad.....his boss.....Coach David Perron! So what does Brooke do....introduces him as her fiance! WHAT THE H***! She explains that she was just trying to help him so Coach doesn't take it out on him! So the two decide to be pretend fiances! As these two spend more time together, they both realize that maybe they are not really pretending.
I loved this story! Both Brooke and Bishop were great characters. I always enjoy a fake engagement story and this one was no exception. It was fun watching how everything played out especially with Coach Perron. Awesome start to a new series!

Bishop and Brooke are lovable and fun to watch fall in love. What started out as a ruse, turns into a rose. I love that Bishop fell into the caring role without even realizing it, and Brooke really seemed to blossom the more she was with him.
It ended a little on the flat side for me, even though it was a HEA, I felt there could have been just a little bit more to there story. I was left happy, but still wanting.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

I have been a fan of Sawyer Bennett's for years and have read everything she's ever written. I'm especially a fan of her hockey books because I love falling in love with the team and then getting every player's story. When I heard she was starting a new hockey series I may have screamed a little or a lot. I remember how much I loved Alex from the Cold Fury and every man who came after him. Now, I get to start that love with Bishop and he did not disappoint! Add in that his team, the Arizona Vengeance, are in my home state and I was extra excited! Bishop is big, sexy and I pretty much love everything about him from his sexy long hair, to the tips of his skates. Bishop is checking out his new town when he sees a gorgeous woman who he wants to know better. Brooke is funny, sexy and wants to take him home. Yes, please. Their one night together is off the charts hot and he regrets not getting her last name and number. But when he sees her at work the next day and then gets caught groping her, by her father, his new coach, things get sticky very quickly. He's now dating and engaged to his one night stand. The daughter of his coach. How did this happen? How long to they have to pretend to be together? What happens when they are no longer pretending? I loved this story! Bishop is so sexy with his dirty mouth, his controlling nature and his protectiveness. I love how open he was with his feelings. He wasn't hiding how he started to stop pretending. He actually wanted to spend time with Brooke, outside of the bedroom. Brooke was hilarious! She was so cool and fun and I want to be friends with her. She was truly looking out for Bishop's career and she never got weird or clingy. She was perfect for him. She calmed him down and he listened to her. Overall, I laughed, teared up, had to fan myself and I want to go to a hockey game! Sawyer never fails me with her hockey players who actually play hockey! I love the action she adds to the romance. And I love this team! I can't wait for more from the Arizona Vengeance!
"Brooke. No matter what led us to this moment, right now I'm yours, and no one should touch what is yours."
"You're cute when you worry about me as a hockey player?"
"Sort of like how you're adorable when you assault men on my behalf."

What happens when you start a new hockey team in Arizona? The temperature isn't the only thing that can melt the ice.
Meet Bishop Scott, co-captain and one sexy man and when he is on the ice he is even sexier. While out with his buddies one night, he meets Brooke and thinks she would be the perfect distraction for one night. But he realizes after he leaves her, that he would like to know her better. But he doesn't have a way to get in touch with her.
Brooke has turned down a few guys at the bar but when Bishop walks up to her she wants to take him home. He is sweet and caring and just what she needs. A distraction for one night. They don't talk about what will happen tomorrow. All that matters is tonight.
When Bishop happens upon Brooke in one of the offices at the Vengeance arena, it turns out to be her office. And not just that, she is his new coach's daughter. So why is it when her dad, my boss, walks in, she introduces me as her fiance? Oh this is going to be bad and not in a good way.
Can Bishop and Brooke keep up the farce until the time is right to end it without anyone getting hurt? Will they both fall in love for real? What happens if their secret gets out?
I loved everything about the Carolina Cold Fury series but I think Bishop might be my new favorite. Starting a new series for me is always exciting because of the new characters and what their lives have in store is always fun. And Sawyer Bennett knows how to deliver on sexy, hot hockey men. So sit back and enjoy this book and have a fan handy, you are going to need it.

Shockingly, this was my first ever book by this author, and I LOVED it. I can't wait to read more in this series! 4.5 Stars.
Bishop Scott is a star. A star so bright (and with such a high salary), that his old team allowed him to be picked up by the new NHL expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance, to alleviate their financial burden. He's not thrilled to be in Phoenix, but at least his best friend, roommate, and teammate, Dax, was picked up by the team as well, and has made the trip with him. The night before he is due for his first team meeting, he goes out to scope out his new city, and ends up in a local bar. There he meets a gorgeous woman and goes home with her for one night of fun. And, boy, did they have fun. The next morning when he sees her at the arena offices, he's shocked, but thrilled. At least until he figures out who she actually is: his new coach's daughter!
Brooke Perron is hanging on by a thread. She's relocated to Phoenix with her father, to help look out for him. He lost his wife, and Brooke's mother, about a year before, and he's not dealt with it well at all. Brooke has been there for him and has been worrying after him constantly. But now, she's starting to regret her decision to relocate. She's homesick for NYC, and she misses her old boss, and the job she loved. She's feeling out of sorts when Bishop approaches her at the bar, and she enjoyed his help getting her out of her own head for the night. But the next day when her dad busts into her office to catch her and Bishop in a compromising position, she decides to say that Bishop is her fiance. She can't have her father blow his lid, and take his anger out on Bishop. How hard can it be to fake a romance?
Bishop and Brooke had chemistry like whoa, and their connection was super hot. I loved their banter, and their honesty in their dealings with each other. Once they decide to go on with the charade of their fake relationship, they settle into a bit of a comfortable pattern. Next thing you know, it's not feeling fake at all, and neither of them know what to do about it. I love a fake relationship trope, and this one was so fun, and very well done. Both Brooke and Bishop had their reasons for going along with the plan, and I loved watching them both realize that they were falling in love for real. Their sexy times were super steamy, and I enjoyed the author's style in this regard.
I love the bits of the practices and games we got to see here too. I like a sports romance that at least has a bit of the actual sport playing out in it! It was fascinating to me to witness Bishop's process getting ready for his game days and the like. I had fun getting into that aspect of the story, but it wasn't too much information that it would turn off someone who wasn't really into the sport.
The side characters here were so much fun too, and I can't wait to get to know the other guys better. They all have good intros here in this story, and I enjoyed the bits I got for each of them, and I'm glad we get Erik's story next! Nothing like a reformed player! I look forward to it. My only real gripe here was some of the small things left slightly unfinished, or undetermined. Also, I would have loved an epilogue. I'm a total sucker for an epilogue. But, I get the feeling we'll be seeing a bit more of Bishop and Brooke in the future books. At least I hope so! Overall, I highly recommend this one!

All Bishop was looking for was a one night stand to help him settle into his new city before the start of a new season. He didn’t move by choice, preferring to stay with his North Carolina Fury teammates, but when he is not put on a short list of players off limits to selection in the forming of the new team, he wasn’t surprised when he is selected to go to Arizona. What does surprise him is finding his one night stand in the team offices the next day. They had great chemistry and he was already regretting not getting her contact information, so things are looking up. At least they are until her father, the Vengeance head coach, catches them in a compromising position in her office. Suddenly, Bishop is introduced as her fiance and they find themselves in a ruse that keeps getting bigger.
These two have great chemistry from the beginning. They just click together and even before they think there could be something more, they find themselves in easy conversation, thinking about the other when they aren’t together.
The fake engagement drives much of the drama between them, but the overall drama level is low, all things considered. There were times the story felt a little on the predictable side and I wished there was something more to the story. Despite that, I was interested in the characters, the development of the new team, and some of the backstories of teammates sprinkled along the way.
The first in a new hockey series from Sawyer Bennett, Bishop introduces not only a new couple but a completely new team as well. This was a fun introduction to a new team and new region and set of characters. I look forward to learning more about several of Bishop’s teammates, as well as hopefully getting more glimpses of Bishop and Brooke as their relationship continues to develop.
I received a copy for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

The Cold Fury series may be over but the Arizona Vengeance will fill the void quite nicely and Bishop is an amazing way to kick off this new series. Bishop is seriously hot and one night with him is too hard for Brooke to pass up. Never expecting to see him again she's shocked when he walks at the Vengeance Arena. Of course it's just her luck that he turns out to be one of the players. When her father, who happens to be the head coach of the Vengeance, catches them in a serious lip lock Brooke blurts out the first thing that comes to mind! Now things really get fun.
As always with Sawyer Bennett books the writing is exceptional with a nice fluid pace to the story and the characters will grab your attention right from the start. I can't wait for the next book and I think this one needs to be on everyone's must read list. I highly recommend it.

The Cold Fury Series may have come to an end but what can I say about Bishop book 1 in the new hockey series the Arizona Vengeance apart from it’s a must read for all ice hockey lovers.
Bishop Scott has been traded to a new expansion team and he’s not happy about it could a chance meeting in a bar with a gorgeous girl make the difference but it was meant to be a one night stand of sizzling hot passion he wasn’t meant to see Brooke again so why is he facing her when he reports for training the next day........
Brooke Perron has moved from NYC to be closer to her father who is still grieving over losing his wife and her mother a year ago, he is the trainer for the Arizon Vengeance how will he react when he catches Scott and Brooke making out ....
A fake relationship to keep her father happy turns into a fake engagement which along the way somehow turns into love. This book has it all you will laugh at the witty banter the characters all have with each other, you will wish for a HEA for Scott and Brooke who you can’t help falling in love with and you will end up wanting more from the hot players of the Arizona Vengeance this is a great Read for all hockey fans and a great read for all lovers of romance with characters who will have you smiling and cheering along side them. Brilliant start to a new series.

I received this book through NetGalley. I had no idea what it was about but loved her previous works. This book did not disappoint a bit. From the first page it instantly had me hooked. It was such an easy read that I read it within a few hours. It entails a bit of comedy, drama, hockey games, and romance. I love it when Bishop will be in charge in the bedroom.
Bishop is a hockey player being transferred to a new team. This team is starting new with players from other teams. The staff is new as well. I don't want to spoil this one. Just know I loved it and can't wait to read the next one.

Bishop has just been hired by the new hockey team Arizona Vengeance in Phoenix and on his first night there, he has a one-night stand with Brooke. But the next day when he is walking down the hall of the Vengeance's office, he stumbles upon Brooke behind a desk. Brooke's mother passed away less than a year ago and her father is not doing well without her. So when her father takes the job of Coach for the Arizona Vengeance, he gets her a job there as well and she'll stay with him until he's doing better. But when her one-night stand comes strolling into her office and closes the door, she can't help but fall right into his arms. Only her father walks in on them and to save Bishop's job, Brooke tells her father that they are engaged. When Bishop agrees to this "fake engagement" ... the chaos begins.
This is a sweet romance with a hot hockey player who has a heart of gold ... who wouldn't love it? I couldn't help but fall in love with Bishop. And Brooke is a girl just trying to help her father adjust to a different life. But I just couldn't get over the fact that she said they were engaged! Why didn't she just say they were dating ... it would have been more believable and this book would have gotten 5 stars from me. I also loved the supporting characters ... I can't wait for the next book (Eric). I don't see a book with Tracker yet ... but I sure hope there is, because you just know there is a heartbreaking story there. A great start to another wonderful hockey series by Ms. Bennett ... I loved her Cold Fury Series and can't wait for the rest of this series.
