This book uses psychology, philosophy and religion to help you heal past traumas. I enjoyed it a lot.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I found this book to be more self-help. It helped me deal with some things that were going on in my head. I used to help me when I was journaling for it sparked things I needed to work on and get that out of my head. To put it simply it was good for my process of self-love.
I t was a good book. It lifts you up. I also loved the title and the cover. Congrats for the author!
Returning to Radiance is a workbook in cognitive behavioral therapy. Based on psychology and spiritual principles this workbook will help you heal old wounds and get in touch with your inner self again.
We are here to love others and be the hands and feet of Jesus. Without healing our inner wounds it's difficult to like yourself enough to do this. I plan to purchase this book for one of my children. I think she would benefit greatly from it.
I enjoyed parts of this book, as I am not a religious person and didn't realize how heavy this book focused on religion. Other than the religion issue, I enjoyed the psychology and philosophy portions. There were some good pieces of advice on how to live a better life. Well written and informative.
When I decided to grab this book I didn't realise it contained a lot of religious symbolism. However, it did contain useful practical tips to make your life a better one no matter whether you are a believer or not. Included in it is the wisdom of Zen Buddhism, Psychology, and Philosophy - all of which I have an interest in. Needless to say, I appreciated all of the parts of the book that weren't steeped in religion.
I feel that this is a perfect read for those who do happen do be religious and wish to change their world view.
I would like to thank Francis H. Chun, Paschal Peace Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this title in exchange for an honest review.
