I could definitely see where this story was headed and hello....the title LOL.
Thorne and Nova were a perfect opposites attract story. Nova was working to be a more confident person after living most of her life as someone who always blended into the background. Thorne has a doesn't care attitude and the last thing he wants is to be king.
Their chemistry was explosive and I loved watching Thorne let his walls down for Nova. There was one part towards the end that I didn't really understand, but overall loved the story and the series. I need to have the sisters' stories though! Where are those stories?
Title: Royally Arranged
Author: Nora Flite
Publication date: August 28th, 2018
Series: Bad Boy Royals (3 of 3)
Summary: Royal rivals feel the heat in the latest Bad Boy Royals novel from USA Today bestselling author Nora Flite.
Hawthorne “Thorne” Badd has lived his life as a reckless playboy—not as a presumptive king. But after the death of his uncle, it can all be his: the power, the crown, and the wealth. All he has to do is govern a country he’s never set foot in…and marry the gorgeous daughter of his family’s greatest rival.
Nova Valentine is as smart as she is beautiful—and when she first met Thorne Badd, she fell hard. She’s never seen someone so comfortable in his own skin, and she’d like nothing more than to see all of it. Every bare inch. From his delicious tattoos to his bedroom eyes, Thorne is a dirty fantasy come true. But fantasy is one thing. An arranged marriage is another.
As they get acquainted, their chemistry is royally hot. But when surrounded by dark betrayal and devious schemes, can Thorne and Nova learn to trust each other…or will their families’ rivalry prove too great a hurdle?
Review: Since getting pregnant I've had a crazy need to read royal books. Turns out I'm having a little girl. Who knew being pregnant would influence my reading so much. I really enjoyed this book. One thing that drives me crazy is when romance authors skip over the good parts of the story and only focus on the sex. I'm one of those people who tends to skip over the sex scenes (with a few exceptions) so when there is a really good story line it makes the whole book. This one wasn't excessive in sex scenes but it did skipped a few parts of the story that could have made it much more compelling. I look forward to seeing what Nora comes out with next. But I love this hot tatted king with his innocent bride.
I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.
This book was pretty interesting and well written. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it going into the story but I ended up enjoying it.
This was the first book I've read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. It was very well written and the characters were well thought out.
Good, but not as good as the last. Thorne was never really my cup of tea. He seemed to fight everything and was mostly a jerk in general. He was kind, but also selfish I felt with Nova. I liked their first meeting and day exploring in the book. But, I was not at all pleased with their first time- it felt too rushed and impersonal in my opinion.
Read this in a couple hours. A fast, entertaining read. It was wild, not always great at times - bordered a bit too much on the melodrama, stereotypical/bad tropes - but it was a quick and entertaining read.
Royally Arranged was a struggle to finish, it felt as if I had picked up a novel and started reading it half way through. I didn’t feel as if there was enough backstory given for readers to really feel the depth of the divide between the two families. Nova and Thorne had a troubled relationship from the start, the families divided, taking over royal duties, brawling in cemeteries. The plot held many twist and turns, at times it was a little confusing. It was missing the little extra details that could have made it more realistic, not the royal family but details about the city, the palace, the surroundings within the novel. It was not a bad novel, nor would I say a waste of time to read, it was just not to my liking and felt a little flat for me. I do not think I would recommend this novel to many people, it simply just needed more for me to be able to pass along to fellow readers.
This book has some of my favorite tropes: royal romance, arranged marriage and a tattooed bad boy for our male lead!
Hawthorne “Thorne” is a royal bad boy, that I really liked! His father supposed to rule but he abandoned the crown and now it’s his responsibility to rule, since his the only one that’s unmarried. He has a commanding presence and I liked how it compliments his character and the whole story.
When we first meet Nova, she comes out shy and a little closed off. Her family controls the Boston Mafia underworld and they want their hands on the throne somehow. That’s where Nova comes; they want her to marry Thorne and become the Queen. Now, 6 months later, they meet again and she’s more confident than before. A life-threatening situation helped her understand that she needed to change and believe more to herself, and that’s exactly what she did.
There’s bad blood between their families, a fact that makes their first interactions difficult. However, day by day they get to know each other and feelings are beginning to develop.
I loved the mystery, the suspense and how all the difficulties they faced made their relationship what it ended to be! The ending is the best for the book and I wanted more!!
oh boy oh boy do I love me so bad boy royalty haha.
This book was h.o.t.t! and so swoon worthy.
I fell in love with not only the characters, but the entire story itself.
It was just one of those books I wanted to keep flipping the pages on, and when I had any spare time, I would sneak away to read a little of, cheeks flaming and all haha.
This book just a had a little of everything. And I thoroughly enjoyed the depth and complexity of the characters and the plot.
A for sure 5 star read
Such a beautiful read. Wasn’t quite familiar with the author but, truly impressed with the style of writing. Great story. Would recommend.
2 stars
A swing and a miss. his royal themed book wasn't that great. Lots of holes in the plot. To be honest, I have been on a royal kick lately and this one was not one of the best.
First let me say: this is an adult read. Second: what a freaking great book! Royally Arranged is the story of two families who are sworn enemies. The Badds and the Valentines are both mafia and have direct ties to the European nation Torino. Hawthorne Badd and Nova Valentine are the pawns used by one of the families to dictate the appointment of the future king and queen. The author has filled this book with intrigue, politics, blackmail, romance and a plot more twised than a pretzel. On the way to delivering a very satisfying HEA, the reader is taken for a ride worthy of 5 stars!
Who doesn't love a royal book. I do, if you don't well then the title should have clued you in that this book wasn't for you. If you do however enjoy books involve crowns and countries this one is up your alley. A diverting tale written well this is a fun romantic read that will keep you glued to its pages. I can't wait to read more by Nora flite.
I received an arc from Netgalley. This story was too unbelievable for me and just was not my cup of tea. I would definitely give the author another try though.
I love Nora Flite books! Witty banter, sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters - Royally Arranged has it all. Can’t wait for more by this author in the future.
I'm a big sucker for a royal romance, and this one gives me that with a twist. I liked what Ms Flite has done with this family and Thorne and Nova's romance. The mafia and bad boy elements really gives this story a sizzle.
I feel like such a traitor to the royal family. At first Kain was all I could think about...but then Costello stole my heart. Now, well, now I have to say the at Thorne is truly my Prince Charming.
Sarcastic, witty, and always seemingly relaxed, Thorne has us all fooled. It breaks my heart to learn why Thorne plays his role as the "lazy" Badd. It also warms it to know that a certain mousey wallflower makes everything better.
If you love the Badds, it only gets better with Thorne's story. If you are new to the Badd way of life, hold on because they sure do know how to make a scene. Royally epic kind of scene!
This was a pretty good read. The writing flowed well, and I mostly liked the characters. I thought Thorne was funny and a good guy. I could tell Nova was not as bad as the rest of her family, but I didn't like that she didn't stand up to them until the end. Thorne and Nova did have good chemistry, and I liked their romance. I liked the little sneak peeks into the others lives from the other stories. It was interesting to see a different side to Maverick in this one too. He was a pretty bad guy in the other stories, so this softer side to him took a little getting used to. I hope that Lulabelle will get her story!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
I really loved this book. It had me entertained from start to finish. This story was a sexy romance with a lot of sex. It was extremely well written and HOT! The chemistry between Thorne and Nova was off the charts hot. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
