The setting of this book was beyond beautiful. This book was sweet, tragic, and honest. I wanted to love this more but I found it hard to connect with the characters.

The author recounts his life with his wife and two dogs. One dog passes away and one is kidnapped. The author writes about this in an engaging way. This is a great book for any dog lover!

I know that I have friends that would enjoy this book, but it just did not capture my attention. I do appreciate the ARC to try it out, but it was not my cup of tea.

Giorgio Allemano recounts his sweet and sometimes tragic life with grace and gusto in Two Dogs One Wife. As the title says, he has a wife (met on a train from Italy to England and much beloved) and two dogs, both loved, then one tragically dies and another is apparently kidnapped. A madcap hunt for the snatched canine ensues along with a wild adventure for the couple — all set in impossibly beautiful Tuscany and Turin. 5/5

This book certainly has merits but unfortunately has failed to engage my attention in the long run. My one main observation would be that it would be more useful and comfortable if the footnotes were not situated at the end of the chapters but at the bottom of the page. In the current form, it distrupts the flow of reading.

I started this but couldn't finish it. It is very slow moving and didn't keep my interest. For some reason I found it hard to follow.

The cover photo, the title and the description drew me in, but couldn’t keep me going! Just took too long to get somewhere – and I never got there.

I thank Aria Tschai Publishing and NetGalley for an ARC of this book. I’m sorry I didn’t enjoy it.
