"Deadly Payload" was full of suspense, which is always good. However, I was a little confused at times throughout the story; perhaps it was because this was Book #4 in a series, and I hadn't read the other three, or maybe it was just me. But it didn't inspire me to go back and read the others.
A good thriller on the legacy of the cold war remnants and the earlier war in Afghanistan. Lucid prose and a quick read on the life in a local county/town interspersed with mysterious happenings that lead us to constantly think what could be the reason. Focus on more interesting factual information on the life in Arizona and Utah and additional scientific information about the deadly payload and its effects would have made it more interesting. Nevertheless, a good read in a short period of time.
