I tried reading this book so many times, I now lost track. It just doesn't work for me at all. Reading this book felt like I being lectured - writing felt cold and very detached.
I really didn't like this. I felt the plot was shallow and it was added to make the sex more accessible. There is better erotica out there.

You lose me as a reader if I can go through two chapters of your book with no more than three sentences being spoken. Far too much inner dialogue.
I flipped through the book to see if things picked up and honestly was quite disturbed at what I read. I enjoy plenty of erotic themed books, but this wasn't that. There was no connection between the characters, she was nothing more than a body to him. There was no consent. He was acting out his fantasy regardless of how she felt.
Nope, not for me.
The story is not too excited as I expect it to be. After 1/3 of the story, it becomes very dull and boring. The plot is somehow predictable. And I hardly made it till the end.
A steamy erotic romance book that will open your eyes and make you want more from the characters. Too steamy to put down.
What can I say. I finished it to find out the end. Not a fan sorry. But everyone is different. Some of the content I found very confronting.
A very different book about sex. The beginning has Julie Markham having a fantasy, and then the next week at work she goes into the office of Peter Harrison saying that she needs help with a file that she has done the work all wrong. Telling her he will think about helping her, a few days later she goes back to him saying that she will do anything he wants. With a written letter stating that she will really be his slave for the beginning of Friday after work to Monday at 9:00 am Julie has now put herself into a game that she was not expecting. The story then takes you through different forms of what are described as sexual pleasures for some and degrading for others, but Julie signed the paper she also wrote it. This begins as something you as the reader think is innocent and fun, and takes a different turn by the weekend. When she is his slave and must do anything he wants by anyone male or female, and each degradation is a little more than the last. But when you get to the end you find something out that gives you a little smile for Julie and makes you think that Peter really was the one who got played. An interesting story with very graphic scenes so be aware. Good writing though.
This book was really good at parts and disgusting at others. I understand that there are a lot of kinks out there but i don’t think that some of them should be put into books and if they are to be put in i think that they should have it somewhere that it is in the book that way the person reading isn’t disgusted by the time they get to that part in the book.
Therefore if people are planning to read this book and are curious as to what I’m meaning, this author seems to be obsessed with peeing and “golden showers” i find it DISGUSTING but if its your thing go ahead and read it. I have now read. Of her books and its in both of them, i will NOT be reading anymore of her books as they disgust me.
I haven't read much erotica and those I have have been short and disappointing. This one was very different. There is a story, there are people I could relate to and I was interested, intrigued, all the way through. I really enjoyed it.
A bondage discipline dominance and submission, bdsm read but seems to be more about degradation power than anything else.
Julie needs Peter’s help to cover up her mistake at work. Peter will help her but on the condition that she will be his to do with as he pleases for the weekend. Will she accept? Fast-paced read with lots of steamy scenes. Some which may not be for everyone, humiliation and water sports among others. A good read.
I have read quite a bit of erotica that contains BDSM relationships, and this is the only one that has not included informed consent as an essential part of the process. With that in mind, I could not in good conscious recommend it to anyone.
Office politics get personal when Julie Markham asks Peter Harrison to help her cover-up a mistake. In return Peter can do as he wishes with Julie for the weekend. Plenty ensues that weekend, but the question in the end is whether Peter or Julie got the better deal. A very nice twist at the end makes the reader reassess what the plan actually was and who was playing who.
This is something of a hardcore BDSM. If you are looking for a little spanking followed by a sweet love ever after, this is not the book for you.. I didn't feel that she Julie the main character was debased or assaulted against her will as she consented to everything and a safe word to stop it but this part could have been easily missed. I liked the ending. Surprises are in store that you don't see coming. A couple of parts of the book , I didn't care for so I skipped over it. I can see a lot of people really loving it. I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review and no compensation otherwise.
I just couldn’t bring myself into this one. I skimmed and flipped and tried again but it was not for me
I was sometimes lost in the book. I didn't know when the fantasy was ending. Peter wasn't a nice person sometimes. I guess this is not your typical romance, where the leads will profess their love for each other at the end.
Thanks the publisher via Netgalley for this copy in return for an honest review.
I got half way through this book and I just could not read anymore. I enjoy erotica but this went in a different direction. It just wasn't for me.
With a conceited arrogance born of ignorance, Julie Markham embarks on a game whose rules she does not know and over three short days her life is turned upside down. On Friday she had been an office manager, confident, secure and happily engaged to be married. On Monday she was crouching naked on a cold floor and suffering whatever any man or woman demanded. During the two days in between, her deceit had been unmasked, her limits tested and her dreams had been fulfilled. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Lucy Golden is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books
Lucy Golden in her recent book "Accidents Will Happen" provides some very strong and erotic BDSM scenes with some very credible story telling. Golden writes well. On the realism and safety scale I'd say its around a 7, but you don't mind the excess because it slowly gets you into the magic of the scene. The characters and the emotions feel very authentic. The motivations of the characters drive the plot, which is to me the mark of a good erotic novel.
Golden is a professional writer of high quality and you may feel this may not have been her best, but its still excellent and delivers with solid erotic drama. I loved it and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes BDSM fiction.
This book is a fairly written tpe fantasy, and, contrary to what seems to be the norm these days, it was not wrapped around some misplaced romantic story. You will simply find 2 (or more...many more) consenting adults enjoying their sexuality, which was refreshing to read.
However, if you're not into exhibitionism and water sports it is not for you. Sadly, it was definitely not for me.
